  1. Well done Moving Partnership!

    Well, what can I say? What a stress free experience! Moving house in itself is a very stressful time, but moving country is even more stressful!! Matthew Ladley and his team took all of the stress out of moving for me. From the first communication to the last, I was kept informed every step of the way. The removal guys arrived on time to collect and to deliver, telephoning to confirm their expected arrival times.

    Well done Moving Partnership - a really professional company who provided a really professional and friendly service. Thank you Matthew and colleagues!!

  2. Terrible company. Avoid at all costs!

    It was virtually impossible to get them to give us a date for delivery in France. I had to email them several times to be given an approximate week that our items would be delivered and then was told the day before they would be arriving tomorrow which meant we had to reorganise work with a new job at a moments notice.

    When we were given the week of delivery they then advised us that we would need to pay an additional £200 because our things would need to be delivered in a smaller van as they wouldn't be able to fit a large lorry in the parking we had provided (the address for delivery had been given to them before we had signed our contract and the parking in question was approximately 100m x 20m so even if they had the largest lorry possible if they were unable to fit here then they surely can't fit anywhere!) Eventually they managed to miraculously find a solution upon our refusal to pay.

    Then upon delivery we were not surprised given how unprofessional the company had been so far to find that some of our items were damaged. We attempted to make a claim on the insurance the moving partnership had arranged for us to find that this would not be accepted on the grounds that the items were 'owner packed.' We had brought this up with the company before signing the contract and they had assured us that as long as the delivery drivers were able to see the item then we would 100% be covered for loss and damage to that item. The delivery drivers also re-confirmed this on collection.

    Overall an awful experience with a dishonest, unprofessional company.

  3. Professional, great communications, smooth process.

    A top notch service. Matthew explained the whole process and took care of the details. Customer service was fantastic. Packers were great and everything arrived intact. Highly recommend Moving Partnership and Matthew is the best, taking care of things from beginning to end.

  4. No refund after breaking items.

    Piss poor service and they broke valuable items, refusing to refund. would not recommend to anyone. Spend 100 quid more and get a serious moving company.

    Profesional service. Matthew organised the move very quickly. Minor problems were solved through regular communication. Inventory was conducted on collection and delivery. Items arrived in good condition. English movers were polite and efficient.

  6. Malvies, France to Oxford.

    Our move from France was confirmed after an e mail by telephone in French (no problem as we are fluent in French) and a local English company turned up 2 hours early when we were still packing. The most important item by far was a marble table which the company knew to be so, and we confirmed this with the local English crew. No inventory was presented to us at the time of collection. Several weeks later in England, the delivery was made without the marble table top and without the crew initially saying that it was missing. When questioned they said that the marble was broken and showed my wife a photograph of it in bits. 3 terracotta pots were also missing.
    Following telephone calls, the marble table pieces, 7 in all, were several days later delivered along with the "missing" terracotta pots.
    To cap it all, the insurance company was supplied with an unsigned inventory which said that our marble table top was cracked on collection. Here we have instances of deceipt and incompetance.
    I agree with Renna's recent 1 star review and shall we use the Moving Partnership again?

  7. Nice people, lousy service.

    I used the moving partnership for two moves back in 2015. Really nice people on the phone and pleasant to speak to but when it came to the actual move that wasn't so good. I was told I'd get blankets to protect my furniture, I got nothing. Items arrived scratched and broken and some even got lost! When I called to ask for help they were useless. The problem is they are basically an agency and they work with other movers so they don't really have control over the move. The movers that came were old and unfit meaning I had to help load things and I was nine months pregnant at the time. This also caused problems when they had to bring my furniture into my new flat as the two guys were clearly not used exercise and resulted in a lot of huffing and puffing and "kin ell, kin ell" as things were moved up and down the stairs. There was more stuff than they were able to take so I got a kerbside delivery for the second lot, the delivery drivers were rude to my family and then they lost my items in a warehouse. Moving Partnership did sweet FA and it was between myself and another young lady that we located the items and it was solved. I wouldn't use them again, pay a little extra and get a better service I say. They don't care about your stuff but that's because as I said they don't really move it so they can afford to be nice on the phone because if anything goes wrong there's no blow back for them.

    Hi Joe,the last weeks were quite hectic, so I didn´t have the time to sit down and give you proper feedback. Still, not all boxes unpacked, so no need to worry about any damage claims ;-) We are slowly settling in and thanks to your patience and support we managed to stick a 9 bedroom house into a pimped up bungalow! "[EDIT]", was the first thing your removal guys said when they saw the house in Brightlingsea. But by 15.00 the truck was unloaded. When you ever need a reference for down-sizing we are happy to give them a reference. From my first RFI with your advice to the truck leaving Brightlingsea, everything went smoothly and without any problems. Considering we did everything remotely one cannot ask for more. The discussion of how we went from an estimated 80 boxes to 200 boxes we need to have with Julie. I hope I will not need your services any time soon (ever again), but this is due to me being tired of moving and does not reflect your professionalism or your support during this period. .

    I have moved two lots to Australia with the moving partnership and both times the moves have gone really well, no damage, no missing items, good communication and delivered on time.

  11. International move totally failed - Avoid.

    I went with this company because they promised to deliver goods on a certain day ( five days after my boxes were collected). They were more expensive than other companies but promised a faster delivery date, so I went with them. They did not properly explain to me how to track my package and I assumed my goods arrived at the airport on the day they promised me so I rent 'man and a van' service and go to the airport to pick up my cargo. When I already paid for my 'man and a van' service and taxi to the airport for myself (a total of 120 euros), I find out that my boxes never arrived and the delivery date has been moved to the week when I am not in the country. The company failed to track and update me on the change so when I called them to ask why this has happened, they claimed that it is not their responsibility and the promised delivery date is only approximate. When I asked the company to compensate me 100 euros for 'man and a van' service due to their failure to deliver goods on a promised date, they refused. In the end, I overpaid 350 pounds and still did not get my boxes on time. Avoid this company if you value your time and money.

  12. Move from UK to Germany.

    I was unsure about the company given some less than favourable reviews and the huge amount of removalist companies to choose from, but I think I picked well! They're not the cheapest but they have great in-house staff who calmly and politely guided me through the (always stressful for the mover) process. Apart from some minor moments of lapse in communication, I have to say that overall I am very pleased with them. Everything arrived as it should - and even earlier than I had expected. The drivers were polite and motivated, and I would use this company again. Mathew is a real asset to the business. He made everything happen and exceeded my expectations!

  13. Excellent Service.

    I have no hesitation in reccomending this company.
    Mr Ladley was my only point of contact for an entire year whilst my furniture was in storage and house sale floundered. He was eminently helpful and relaxed which made my situation a tad easier. I made many changes to items in storage and delivery dates but Mr Ladley took it all in his stride and noting was too much trouble, all my changes were easily accommodated. Everything arrived on time and in small vans as requested. I can't fault them. I have put a low approximate figure in the service cost section of this review.

  14. AVOID this company like the plague!! 0 Stars.. Terrible service..!!

    Well was meant to be a Move from UK to USA..
    Let use down the day before our move..
    I truly feel this was all part of the plan as we had knocked them down on the shipping price just the week before the move..
    They let us down at the point I said I was going to shop around for the insurance part of the quote.. This was thrown in last minute I believe to make us just say yes as otherwise we have no containers!!
    Turns out their quote was £10,640 (on top of 20k+ for shipping) which I was advised was a reduced rate and they had worked so hard for me..
    I have received quotes from £1,420 to £4,000..
    I questioned there service and the fact that they feel I can't compare is was at that point he became totally rude advising me all my fault, its all last minute.. A very heated stressful discussion.
    Slept on it.. to wake up thinking they aren't having my business - NO WAY!!, even if that means starting all the process all over again!! I am in business myself and still can't believe how rude, totally un organised they are and how they tried to blame us for their failings??
    So result is delayed move and lots of stress!! BUT worked today with an amazing company who have sorted everything in 1day.. these guys had had 3months plus with me chasing them??..
    Avoid - Avoid - Avoid like the plague..!!

    If Matthew handles your move then you are assured of professionalism and all problems that might occur - become challenges that he solves. Highly recommend.
