Won't get items
We got our stuff months after the promised delivery date. We got multiple boxes of other people's belongings and had multiple boxes of our own stuff missing. Also charged way more than they quoted. Use them at your own risk.
The worse company
Statement to Prime Moving and Storage
Christian and Jamie Graciano
Date: 10/6/21
9/12/21
- Estimation contract provided by your employee named “Corey” after doing a face time call to
view the items that were stated to be part of the moving. Prime movers quoted us an estimate
of $3,555.25
- Contract electronic signed by Christian agreeing to the estimate
9/24/21
- Pickup day. Prime Moving and Storage come to our home at the time (29 Hawthorne Ave,
Clifton NJ )with a 26foot truck. Employee named “Max” arrived and said that our items were
going to exceed the original quoted cubic feet and will result in a higher final cost. We were not
happy that Corey had provided us with such an inaccurate estimation. We agreed however,
then Max and the movers started to load up the truck.
- Sexual Harassment. After all items were loaded. Max asked my husband Christian Graciano,
if he could provide a ride home to one of the movers while he started the paperwork with me at
home. Max said he just wanted to have everything ready for him so that we could be done with
this. My husband agreed since the worker didn’t seem to have a way to get home. Everyone
had left the home and it was just Max and I in the kitchen of my home. Max had started to fill
out the carbon copies for the Order for service, Interstate Bill of Lading and Freight Bill, and
Supplemental agreement to the binding Estimate on the island kitchen counter. He was pacing
back and forth out of breath often long after the workers left. This guy is much bigger than me
in terms of height and weight. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I try to remain at ease, after all I
don’t know this person. While he was completing his paperwork, he was trying to initiate small
conversation which I was not trying to engage with. I simply stated, we will wait for my husband
to arrive since all paperwork has been started with him. With no solicitation on my part, Max
then proceeded to talk about his work life, and then began talking about how he manages and
tends to his sexual urgencies while away from his family. I immediately felt an unnerving level of
discomfort and fear for my safety in my home. I have never had someone disrespect me as a
person, a wife and mother of children in my very own home. I was scared, I didn’t know if this
person was going to harm me or if he intentionally set this up since he himself had asked my
husband to provide his mover with a ride. I stated nothing and instead called my husband right
away in front of him and asked him to please hurry home. In my attempt to absolutely stop Max
from continuing his conversation or any other possible harmful acts, I told Max that my husband
was around the block from the house. Chris arrived soon after.
- Completing the carbon copies documents. My husband repeatedly asked Max if these were
the final charges or if there were going to be more charges associated with this delivery. Max
said stated no, this all you have to pay. Max asked us when we would like this to be delivered
on one of the carbon copies we indicated that we wanted a delivery for Wednesday Sept 29th.
Max was paid in cash a total of $5,000 which has been indicated on the Order for Service. Max
provided my husband with the owners information. The owners info as provided by Max is:
Kalib #0741
9/27/21 Transit to Florida. My husband and I, and two children ages 5-8, headed to Florida in
our own vehicle with some rush as we wanted to ensure that we’d arrive at ease the night
before our moving shipment would. We arrived to Florida Tuesday night September 28th
around 9pm. It was an exhausting trip as we took minimal stops to make sure we could avoid
additional surprises from the moving company as we were already off to a bad start.
9/29/21 Waiting for the moving truck. My husband sent a text message to Kaleb, if anynone needs proof I have it. crgbills@gmail.com
Terrible Experience
I would not recommend Prime Moving and Storage to anyone. On my move on August 2021, they did a NO-SHOW for pickup and even lied about it. They sold my job after pick-up to a random company who in turn did not assemble any of my furniture and attempted to charge for things already included in the contract. They damaged multiple pieces of furniture.
Their contract is purposely vague when failing to specify Shuttle Service fees, allowing them to pick any $ amount after they have already picked up your things.
Overall it was a terrible experience, specially when you believe you did your due diligence, hired a company, and on delivery you have to deal with people who do not even work for the company you hired! These contractors, needless to say, were not at all interested in doing a good job.
Here is a copy of my complaint with the DOT:
No-show after initial confirmation of pickup for 8-21-21 between 4-7. Company did not respond initially to calls or text and finally texted back saying they got held up in a DOT inspection and would be unable to pick up as confirmed the day prior(8-20-21). The driver who picked up on 8-23-21 told me the No-show was due to the truck getting filled up on a prior job.
Company representative, Corey, assured me they were NOT a broker, and they would be doing the move themselves. This is also specified in their contract. They ended up selling my job to a random company they claim is a "sister" company. The drivers in this company attempted to upcharge for things included in the contract, specifically the first flight of stairs, saying only 7-8 steps are included. They also did not assemble ANY furniture after delivery, claiming it was not their job. When I informed the original company of this, they said that since my job required shuttle service, assembling would no longer be included. This is clearly blatant breach of contract.
Shuttle fees were not specified in the contract, allowing them to make up any $ amount after they have picked up.
Multiple furniture pieces were damaged in the move.
Worst Moving Company Ever
Moving is stressful and it’s important t that you know that your belongings are safe and taken care of in transit. Our belongings were destroyed, boxes punctured and our mattresses and many boxes were sitting in water for days. They delivered our shattered things over a month from when they picked them up. DO NOT HIRE
Fraudulent Company! Do not use!!!
Prime Moving and Storage is owned by [NAME EDIT]. He over charges, hires unqualified unprofessional men who don’t care. Because they didn’t wrap anything around 70% of my moms things were damaged or broken. Yet they charged her $3,500 for shipping supplies. She is a sweet 75 year old lady they took advantage of. They don’t take care of things. They kept asking for more money. They held her things hostage for a couple of weeks. She paid them close to $90,000 and now she has hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage. I am starting a class action lawsuit against [NAME EDIT]. If you have been a victim of there scams please email me riverlilyproperties@gmail.com
My mom is heart broken. This was her first cross country move and they really took advantage of her. The storage company we like [NAME EDIT] said he has never seen a move this bad in all his years. They also damaged his wear house.
Game changer
Definitely a game changer this company is a family owned business but they seem to be a lot more professional than the major vanlines. Thank you, you can tell that everyone gets compensated well. Movers all presented themselves with confidence and honor !!!! They all dressed very clean too. Wore PPE for covid too
Very happy
Happy that I went with these guys as they honored rates and did everything they can possible to make sure that I was content with service. 4 starts because movers were a bit late after taking lunch break however service was exceptional
THANK YOU
Very happy with the services that were provided by Corey and his team very efficient, courteous, on time and professional. I got my furniture within 14 days and the reason why I’m giving 5 starts is because everything that was promised to me, wanna honored. Moving is stressful as is and these guys really made it easy for me.
Honorable
Everything was honored I am happy at reasonable price and honorable crew. I don’t usually write reviews but I was very impressed and satisfied. Thank you
Great service
I choose prime movers because of the efficiency of the team and the best apart about it is that the sales team is actually the moving team too! My project manager corey gave me the quote over the phone and also preformed my move the entire experience was very personable I was given his contact information his personal number his desk his email. If you want to be comfortable and to not have to worry about signing up with a sales person and then having to talk to someone else the entire time after soeindig hours with the sales person go with these guys. They are a honest carrier, trust me this is not my first rodeo and the difference is night and day
Janet strausburg
Did a good job packing and mover moved really quick the persons who signed me up was actually the persons constructing move he was the foreman so these guys are actually carriers not third parties. They are legit just make sure your inventory is accurate or of course you would be charged more . Communicate your preferred delivery date and opt into receiving insurance if you’re packing yourself . I do recommend prime tho
Thank you
Was asked to write a review based on my experience and I am impressed considering that they are not the biggest moving company. But they did better than mayflower and actually honored the rate. Mayflower came to my bone a major vanlines and try to charge me more than the estimate. I was in such disbelief but I’m very happy with prime movers they really accommodated my last minute pick up and honored pricing thank you
Don't hire them do your selfthat favor
If I could give them zero I would worse company ever, gave you price and the delivery guys wantsto charge you extra other wise they will keep your stuff in storge call the agent 100 times to some one to answer and they are useless I will dispute some of the charges with my credit card. 20% of my stuff are completely destroyed and the number they have on contract doesn't work just do your self favor and look for different company you will be sorry of you hire them.
Damaged and stolen property
I have been waiting for my second delivery truck for over a month now. Multiple days have been promised to be delivered where we have had to stay home to accept delivery and they didn't show or call. DO NOT HIRE. Several of my items on my first truck were damaged in transit. I received my mattress wet because they strapped it to the outside of the truck. Dealing with them has cost us emotional stress and loss of wages.
Great service
Dealt with Evelyn and Corey very helpful and informative from start to finish this carrier is definitely under rated. They need more exposure I’m sure that they will get it when the time comes. Was quoted 4,500.00 but my cubic feet went up due to me adding 80 more boxes so it was another 900$ added. Frustrating but I understand they were the best price and the service was exceptional
