  1. 1965 MGB Los Gatos Rotterdam, No service, Additional Charges.

Local Pick up took four weeks, without communication

600 USD Additional charges for pallet

1245 USD Additional Charges for Customs.

  2. Car shipping overseas.

Very bad experience. My car was scratched on the roof during container shipping. I took out extra insurance before I started this shipping.

No money after several weeks of discussions. Mr. Joey Smith refers to Mr. Costello, who is hiding behind the lawyers. Supposedly, the insurance only takes effect from a loss of $ 1,000.

In the beginning everything was fine, in the end I was left with the repair of 800 Euro. Never again!

    DO NOT choose this company!

  3. Madrid Move.

I was able to ship some furniture and few boxes to Madrid from my apartment in Brooklyn. I though I was going to have to leave these items behind, but I did take a chance and see what the prices were to actually move my stuff with me. In the end I payed a little over $2100 on the US side and an additional $600 in Spain. This was less than I expected and the prices were decently explained to me based on the overall size of the items. Because of this I was able to shed some items and bring the cost down. I have my furniture here with me and am using it now, so overall it went as expected.

  4. Terrible.

They were a month late and then are not very well educated, I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to use this service. They should probably change they line of business to something they actually know how to do, maybe stay at home with the family instead of wasting peoples time with their lame excuses.

  5. Worst Moving Company, Liars.

I moved from Miami to Spain.
Schumacher offered to delivered my property ( just 25 boxes )between 4 to 6 weeks. Already has passed 12 weeks and it hasn't arrived yet. The company in Spain can not tell me when I will get my property. I hope I will get everything in January. They always are lying.

  6. Extremely rude, unhelpful staff.

I moved from the UK to the US using Anglo Pacific in June of this year.

Schumacher Cargo Logistics was the contractor handling the American side of the move.

The tracking website does not correspond which what is actually happening with your shipment. It would quote a 5 business day process and then you wouldn't hear back for up to 3 weeks.

When I contacted my delivery coordinator, Daisy, she was extremely unprofessional and rude. She was incredibly slow to respond to easy emails, and cherry-picked parts of my email she would respond to.

Finally, I asked for the delivery agent's information so that I could correspond directly with them. She took extremely long to respond and finally said they would have "not have any clue of who you are" because no trip to Washington state had been scheduled yet. The problem here is my furniture had already been delivered by the time she finally responded! She had no idea where any of my shipment even was.

It was incredibly important given my job to have a reasonable amount of notice as to when my furniture would be delivered (48+ hours absolute minimum) and instead I was informed out of the blue 3 hours before everything arrived.

I don't feel comfortable paying a firm that cannot keep track of where my belongings are. I am part of a group that relocates for work quite a bit and after this awful experience I will recommend that everyone stays away from Schumacher Cargo Logistics.

  7. Worst experience ever.

    Schumacher made a terrible job.
We asked the team as soon as they arrived to protect the house as its a brand new house and we don t want any damages.
The team was a team of 3 guys.
As soon as they arrived they started complaining about doing the job, they were taking it easy and didn’t protect anything.
The container in Switzerland has been very well handled and loaded by rooms, very organized to make the job easy for the move in team.
One guy was the team manager and spent the morning over the phone.
The two other guys started unloading for the container to leave as soon as possible, not taking in consideration the good work that was done loading it in.
They didn’t t pay attention placing the boxes upside down.. my husband has to stop them before they put the mattress on the street ground. Then seeing that they kept on complaining he decided to help them out as it was already a while they were here and nothing was in the house.
The two guys were complaining about how it wasn’t mentioned to them to bring the boxes in and to unpack and rebuild furniture ( as we opted for a full service removal). Even if we showed them our contract mentioning all prestations included they kept on denied. They explained they were not part of Schumacher company, just 2 random guys hired to do the job, that they have been told just to unload and that’s all.
Seeing how everything was going in I started to unpack all fragile items and then all the rest.
My husband had to rebuild the furniture as the guys didn’t t want to do it.
In the middle of this the team manager left his phone and decided, as we pushed for it, to go to the Recology point to remove some debris.
Before leaving us in this mess he handed my husband 500$ to pay the two guys.
That felt unreal. How come would us have to pay the two guys??
As he left, the two guys came to us saying the manager will not come back and they decided to leave with our house full of unpacked boxes, I assembled furnitures and full of debris. My husband gave them the money and they still asked for a tip!! Unbelievable. Of course as they didn’t protect the house as we required many times we have stain on the carpet, scratches and holes on the wall and near the entrance door.
Feeling bad as he said, the manager came back when he found out the guys were gone. We contacted Relocately immediately to let them know what was going on.
The guys was no use unless the bring the debris out which he did and then left.
My husband before the manager left wrote everything down to email Relocately but also in the Schumacher contract.
Now 2 months after we are still waiting for Schumacher insurance to refund the money for the diamanté’s made in the brand new house and still awaiting for a compensation from Relocately.
The big joke is we have been offered 150$ compensation for a full day of work for 2 people ( m’y husband and I) where we were not supposed to do anything, and the 2 guys left with 500$ damaging our house and the job not completed !!
Relocately defending they are doing us a favor when Schumacher do not accept our version of the facts.
So how can I recommend both of them??
When you move abroad, and we are use to it, we never had any issues, we don t have to do anything and it takes a 6h job. Of course there is some organization to be made when the team leave but we never were in this nightmare situation with 2 young kids in the middle.
As I said, it is 2 months and neither the compensation neither the insurance payment have been done yet.

  8. Excessive Charges for Shuttle Service.

I hired Doree Bonner (UK) to move my property from the UK to the USA and paid the full cost quoted for door-to-door delivery. The property (29 boxes) was eventually delivered 4 months later after a 6 to 10-week promised delivery time. Schumacher Cargo Logistics Inc. was hired as the local contractor to get my property from the port to my address. They used an 18 wheeled articulated vehicle to deliver the 29 boxes. Upon arrival, the driver refused to enter the gated community with the lorry and said he would go to the local U-Haul and hire a vehicle to move my goods into and thereafter deliver the goods to me. For that privilege, he told me that it would cost me an additional $250USD. This is the first time I was ever informed of the extent of that cost. The driver never made any attempt to enter the community to deliver the goods. The narrowest point the vehicle would have to negotiate was 14 feet wide (this is the gate entrance) with a direct approach from the main road. Thereafter, 23 feet and the narrowest and 25 feet wide at the widest point with all parked vehicles outside of this measurement. There was also another entrance which was twice as wide but the driver only used it to exit the property. I feel like I was 'held over a barrel' insofar as the delivery was concerned. If you decide to use either of these companies to deliver your property please make sure you are aware of this scam.

  9. Move back to NY.

This summer my family moved back from France. Schumacher was our agent in the US and they handled the move back pretty well. Once my stuff arrived, they let me know and said to give them some time to schedule a delivery. It took them about a week to get this scheduled, then had it delivered a few days after that. When unpacking, they tried to go through the boxes with me, though it was all very fast. I confirmed all my items were there, then they left. All in all I would use them again, but would like more communication through the process.

  10. Scam.

Sent my vehicle from Miami to Valencia , Spain. Everything was perfect until the moment I paid the invoice, 3 months with no information, no one answered my emails until the moment I called by bank to chargeback for a service that were not rendered.
Basically, they just get the money and forget about you and your shipment. They car never shipped, no answer about when to be delivered, no bill of landing or export documents to proof they were about to send it. I have to fly back to the USA to pick the car and now they charge me for storage to release my property.
Result, lawsuit against Schumacher cargo already started.

  11. Appalling Service!

After absolutely appaling customer service from Schumacher in LA, they shipped my goods to the wrong city and have been informed by their mover in Australia that they will not delivery unless futher funding is received.

    DO NOT USE this company!

    Ethically unsound!

  12. They make extra money from the US Custom Exams.

They make extra money from the US Custom Exams. Please be careful with the excessive fees that Schumacher Cargo bills you.

Emlie Matos, the Import Coordinator and Ruth Ortiz, the Import Freight Cashier made false caculation on the charges on Custom Exams.

My container from UK to US were shared by 23 people. The cost on US Custom Exams is bleow:

1st attachment- Tailgate exam $250.00. Tailgate exams is when US Customs opens your container and inspects inside.

    2nd attachment- X-ray exam 250.00. X-ray exam is self-explanatory. X-ray machine used to inspect.

3rd attachment. CEX (contraband examination $295.00) CCP (customs clearance at port $25.00)

Total fees for container on Exams: $820

The total volum of 23 people in my container is 2400 Cft. Mine is 440 Cft. It is not 490 CFT. All the charges are based on volume. My items takes 18% volum of the container
    My Charge on Exams:
    $820 x 18%=$148

    Invoice# 156938: $43.76 (Demurrage)

    Total Fees:
    $148+$43.76=$191.76

    But I was billed $299.59.
    Invoice# 156637: $255.83 (Exams)
    Invoice# 156938: $43.76 (Demurrage)
    Total amount due: $299.59

Emile and Ruth said my stuffs took majority space of the container. I contacted the UK cargo company who did the shipping. In fact, mine only took 18% of the contrainer. It is unfair to demand me to pay for the most of US Custom Exams fees.

Emlie Matos and Ruth Ortiz are not willing to correct their wrong caculation, intead they threaten me to start storage charge if I don't pay for what they want.

It is horrendous and stressful expenrience to deal with them.

  13. Great first international move.

Schumacher cargo gave a speedy quote and scheduled our shipment in less than a week. They helped with all the paperwork and were great with communicating with us. Our payment ended up being slightly more than the original quote but the overall move was great and we received an undamaged complete shipment.

  14. Porsche to the UK.

A few months ago I shipped my 911 from New York to the UK and it went well enough. It took a little bit longer than I expected when they told me it would be 4-6 weeks it was closer to 8. There were also charges overseas that I did not expect, but looking back through the emails I was briefly told there would be, so that might be on me. Overall my car came in looking like how it left and I'm mostly satisfied.

  15. Transport.

If you want to have an unfogettable experience then try this company.
They even cannot manage to take the right name or adress ( in my case thay took a name of an attached bill of somebody as my name) nor do they follow the given order.
If you look at the attached picture of the just opened container then you do not need to know more. But you have to keep in mind what my order was ( for which I paid $ 3900.00):
packing of all car parts and transport of my car and parts in a single container from L.A.- to my home in Germany.
What Schumacher did was: no packing at all - as you see -, adding two wrotten cars ( mine is hidden below the foreign cars on the picture) from somewhere to the container, smashing parts into the container as it would be a waste bin ( a crankcase of 50 pounds landed on a new inlet port with carburettors). The result: damages at a invaluable Porsche prototype engine..
Stay away from such people who do not care at all about other's goods. They call it "inconvenience".

    Dr. Georg Gebhard.
