  1. Great Service and Problem Resolution.

    Transit Systems was a great company to work with. They were able to give me a good price and a guaranteed delivery date even on a Saturday. However, one of the carriers along the way lost a portion of my shipment which caused only a portion to be delivered on the date. Transit Systems rep was very helpful, located the boxes, and got them delivered to me the next business day. They then refunded me a portion of the charge. I was very satisfied.
    I would encourage anyone who uses this company or others to pack your items properly! I was amazed how much abuse the boxes get on a long-distance move but all my belongings were fine due to good boxes, extra tape, and plenty of packing materials. .

      I had a desk and chair made while living in Singapore in 1999 and also was given My Grandmother’s wardrobe when she passed 20 years ago. These items have great meaning to me and having them shipped from Boston to Houston with the upmost care was extremely important to me .   3. Perfect and convenient!

     I recently had moved to Texas, but I was only in Michigan for a visit, and had already moved my items. The brand new lazy boy was a gift and I could not pass up a 1,200.00 chair, to pay for a small delivery fee. It was picked up on time and was delivered on time. I even received a confirmation call to set up a deliver time the day before. It was delivered in Perfect condition! I am a happy customer! .

  4. Excellent service from Transit.

    I am pleased to write about my great experience ce with Transit Systems.  I had to ship several items from Michigan to Washington. After receiving several transit quotes via email, Transit was the most reasonable. I contacted them and received excellent feedback on the process. A couple items were bulky, so Transit referred me to two resources for custom boxes. once I received the boxes and packaged the pieces, I contacted Transit for pickup. The original sales person wasn't in, but a backup was able to quickly locate my file and schedule a pickup. Pickup freight truck was on time and very cordial.  The shipment arrived on time, in excellent condition.   .

  5. Excellent experience from start to finish.

    I was extremely happy with TSI from start to finish. First of all, they really came through for us when we needed a last minute move when no one else could help. Their quote was accurate, their charges were straight forward (and the total amount didn't change during the whole shipment), their drivers and loaders were professional, and their communication was excellent. The one small damage we had (which I think is inevitable in a cross country move) was paid for right away. I was extremely pleased with the communication throughout the whole process. The representative stayed in touch with me and let me know where the truck was and exactly when it would arrive. The drivers and loaders (and unloaders) were some of the most professional I have met - very respectful of my things and my house. I'll definitely use TSI again and will recommend them to others.

    I found this company on the internet and was not sure if I should use them but they were fast with a quote and answered all my questions. 
    I shipped a large queen size four poster bed from Mamaroneck, NY to Yarmourhport, MA.
    Have to say that I would definitely use this company again.  Kept me updated on the whole move especially after the pick up.  The two young men who drove the truck and unloaded were very friendly and did a great job.  The bed was all wrapped and padded and the boys were quick to get everything out of the truck and placed where I wanted it placed.

  7. Fast, kind, communicative!

    They were really terrific. On time, kind, fast and communicative. I was concerned because this was a partial load and since it would be shipped with other loads, things can go wrong or be late.
    Both pick-up and delivery were right as scheduled, and staff  (on phone as well as on site) was efficient and yet also polite and respectful.
    Both they and I didn't realize that one piece of furniture didn't get delivered (my bad, I was so excited that I didn't inventory the delivery list) but I called, they found the piece and delivered it a few days later. This was my second time using TransitSystems and I will definitely use them to complete this move.

    When picked up the driver was excellent! On time and very polite! Delivery went very well! I would use this company again and recommend them to friends as well. My items arrived and no damage at all. The driver that made the delivery at the other end of this shipment was fine. I was amazed at how smooth the entire process was.  The cost was acceptable and service from the first phone call to the last was handled in a very professional manor. The girls in the office answered all of my questions without hesitation. This was my first time with transit systems and it could not have been easier. Thank you, B. Constuble

  9. Are they paying employees to write reviews.

    Are employees writing these reviews?? Just be careful if you talk to jerome fagan, or kim tapscott. it seemed like a good company after talking with Jerome Fagan a Rep for TSI. Shipping estimate was way off told me 4 days, shipment finally arrived May 19th, pickup date was may 6th. When the canoe arrived it was damaged by a fork lift, repairable but damaged. TSI was not concerned with the proof only the terms and conditions. which state about signing and writing damaged on the receipt and it has to be done within 2 days of receiving package.  It seems like common business practice by TSI to just take your money, ship your package, and don't really care about what happens and then charge you more money because you can. Just really bad business practices. In the rare rare case (as the owner states) which is not true just read any of the 100's of cases where packages were lost or damaged. It still doesn't change that fact that your amazing company damaged the canoe and won't do anything to fix the problem. And on top of all that TSI charged me an additional 266 dollars to ship my canoe what they say is for added weight, no phone call form them to notify me of this, YOU CAN NOT TRUST ANYTHING THIS COMPANY TELLS YOU, and they only give you two days to file a complaint, and nice add on making it personal about your BBB accreditation, that means nothing and the BBB doesn't do anything, BBB rep's sound just like TSI rep'sd wonder where their budget comes from.  If you would like to file a real complaint that has a chance of going somewhere you can file one with the attorney general.• • •.

  10. Do Not Use For Piano Transfer!

    PIANO OWNERS BEWARE!! Horrendous experience.  I was assured that Transit Systems would use their "White Glove Treatment" to move my inherited baby grand piano from NC to NJ. At pickup, 2 men from Plycon Transportation group arrived on a truck with no lift, no dolly and no ramp. A female at the house had to help them lift the heaviest part of my dismantled instrument onto the truck. My shipment went to Greensboro, Maryland and then to NJ.  Delivery was 2 weeks later. Three men from Newark Plycon unloaded parts. They did have a dolly. They attempted to put my piano "back together". While they struggled to reassemble, they were asked if they had ever put a baby grand piano together. Confused, they said "No, we've never done one of these before!" They took the works and jammed it under the strings on top of the interior spring in such a way that the keys were lifted over half an inch from frame so you could see space into the interior. The petals were also installed incorrectly. Someone DROPPED my instrument as the right "cheek" was smashed in and veneer finish torn back. There are also 3 large scratches through the veneer on the right side. My piano repairman with 30 years of experience said he had never seen a piano so mistreated. It took him 40 minutes banging with a hammer and chisel to free the jammed action. ( something he said was insane..he'd never ever had to take a hammer to a beautiful instrument) If he had not been able to smash the action loose my piano would have been totaled. The insurance company that Transit Systems uses refused to pay for any repairs but supposedly is in the process of crediting me  $1419.70, the White Glove Treatment cost for transportation of my ruined piano. For the past 3 months I have been on the phone, left messages or emailed 6 different people from this company for resolution. I was recently told that my account was credited a month ago. No credit occurred. After 2 more calls this week a helpful representative did investigate, and "apparently"  the credit is being issued. My inheritance is forever ruined by this inept carrier. Transit Systems was negligent in this entire disaster. IF YOU WANT A PIANO , GRANDFATHER CLOCK, OR VALUABLE ANTIQUES MOVED.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! NEVER USE PLYCON TRANSPORTATION GROUP!!

  11. Spare yourself the circus.

    This company is a joke. I needed to ship a piece of furniture from Michigan to Oregon. After I paid for the shipment in full, the circus began. For 6 weeks they would leave a message on my Aunt's answering machine every Monday stating they would be there after 10am on a weekday. My Aunt would call them back - every week - and ask they did an afternoon pick up so she did not have to take off work or come at noon when her husband was off work. After a few weeks of this cycle my Aunt asked to speak to the supervisor because it was obvious no one was communicating in their company. Finally the supervisor told her it was inconvenient for them to have to go back to that side of town, it had to be a morning pick up, and they don't work weekends.    At that time I begin to contact via email to see what my options were, no reply for 10 days, I email again - no reply. I finally email Kathy who took my payment and started the transaction. They have now had my money for nearly 2 months, no communication and the run around.    I tell Kathy if you can't do the job just refund my money. She then tells me they will charge me a $100 cancellation fee. At this time it was mid December (October 22nd started the process) My Aunt had 2 weeks off work - I tell Kathy you have two weeks to pick this up, if not I am going to the BBB - she tries to absolve them of any bad business behavior. I thought giving them 2 weeks on their preferred time schedule they would be able to pick it up right away - it was near the end of the 2 weeks. I only knew they picked it up because my Aunt told me. I never received an email or phone call.    Three more weeks go by and I hear nothing. Not an email, not a tracking number - NOTHING. I email Kathy again - Oh sorry we sent you emails - it must have went in your junk mail. I was checking the folder all along - no emails. They were able to email me just fine before the pick up, when they actually sent an email. She states it should be there in a week. Nearly 3 weeks past after that email and I finally get a call late in the evening stating it will be there between 1-5pm. I asked them to call me 30 minutes before arrival so I could leave work. They did not. I knew in my gut they would not even give me that courtesy call so I made a preemptive strike by working from home that afternoon. I did not know what to expect from this company any more. Thankfully, the piece was not damaged but it took 3 months. It was a very irritating process. They dropped the ball the entire time. This company is a 3-ring circus. Not worth the hassle. Pay the extra money and go with another company.

  12. Great service in my budget.

    We moved our stuff from Tennessee to Washington.We have choosen transit systems because it's moving price was 1/3rd from other companies.It gives quote according to each item you want to move,that way you can decide on which thing you want to spend or which things you can buy at new place. We didn't want to spend much on our move. We got great service in very less expenses.This was my first moving experience.My all stuff was packed and came in very good condition.The only thing that took 1 star is delivery was bit late else my complete experience was great.

  13. Excellent Mattress Moving Experience.

    I was very nervous using this service as I have had not so positive experiences with movers in the past. I only needed to move a mattress and box spring and TSI specialized in this! You made this so easy and everything went very smoothly. It was so easy and smooth , I was afraid I had not done something and called back to confirm but it was all good! Only one thing - I appreciate the link to the box supplier for the mattress/box spring but would have liked more online help in the actual direction on the actual boxing. At one point I found a video but then couldn't find it again. This could have been on the box site but it would be great to have that detail on the TSI site as well.

  14. TSI / Moving Insurace - avoid at all costs.

    TSI seemed pleasant to work with and set up a move, including packing, for a pair of antique china cabinets on very short notice. I was assured that they could move the cabinets safely and was told that the maximum I could insure them for was $3,000. The actual value of the cabinets is difficult to determine as they are over 100 years old and have been in my family the entire time. The cabinets were picked up as scheduled, but the crew had a single blanket to protect the cabinets and said they don't usually move furniture. I called Tom and after speaking with the movers he assured me that they could get the cabinets to the terminal and they would be well packaged at the terminal.

    When my cabinets arrived in CA they were basically destroyed - legs broken off, four beautiful wood lattice/glass doors broken (really broken) and one of the door frames was snapped in half. A local, reputable, repair shop has quoted $7,000 to repair the damage and no matter how good he is, they will never be the same. I understand that the insured value was less than the damages, but expect to receive an apology and the full insured amount. TSI's partner for insurance is Moving Insurance and here is the response to my claim:

    The amount of insurance purchased must be not less than the Replacement Value of the property. If it is, the Insurance Carrier will not pay for the full value of any item lost or damaged. The Assured shall, to the extent of such deficit, bear his, her or their proportion of the loss. If a valued inventory has been submitted with the insurance document, the maximum liability shall not exceed the indicated amount. In no instance shall the Insurance Carrier's total liability exceed the insured value declared on this document.

    You have stated that the replacement value is $10,000. The items were insured for $3000. We divided the insured value by the replacement value for a co-insurance factor of .3. The $3000 insured value by .3 is a total allowed amount of $900. After applying your deductible of $100, we are extending to you an offer of $800. To accept our offer, please sign and have notarized the attached release, and return to me via email, fax or mail.

    The math here baffles me. Ignoring the fact that there is no specified deductible amount in the contract, the whole concept of saying "you under insured, therefore we owe you less than the insured value" makes no sense. By their logic, if the cabinets had been worth $100,000.00, I would receive 0.90 cents before the deductible.

    Net-Net - don't trust TSI or Moving Insurance with anything of value. They will commit to anything to get your business and you'll need to take them to court if something goes wrong.
