  1. SCAM

RUNNNNNN!!!! I would give them zero stars if I could. I first reached out to first rate van lines and they contracted it out to Trig. I am extremely unhappy with the services I received from Trig Moving Company. Not only were

the majority of the items transported damaged including; antique

furniture, crystal dishes, equipment my husband uses for work. I

    received a quote for $5,700, I was charged $12,000. I was not

given the written quote before the truck was loaded, and I was

told unloading it was not an option. There were large wardrobe boxes that had very little in them, they charge you by they square foot. I wasn’t given an option for

insurance, they trashed my property with packing materials, and

their customer service was full of false promises and no

resolution. I asked to enter into mediation and they declined.

  2. Shameful

Awful experience. Avoid them at all costs.

They've engaged in borderline criminal behavior: e.g., moving my belongings into the street in order to coerce my agreement to their contract, holding my belongings hostage for several months, contracting out the delivery to a different company without my knowledge or consent, etc.

Many of my belonging were damaged. Some went missing. And I now have the broken pieces of someone's father's model train set.

The crew that delivered my belongings drove their truck into oncoming traffic, carelessly tossed my stuff off the truck, and drove away without allowing me to complete an inspection of the items. They were physically threatening. I'm pretty sure one of them was on drugs.

Trig currently isn't licensed to do this kind of work. It's not a mystery why.

    Stay far away from them.

(Trig is registered to Yossi Malul (email: yossi.malul@hotmail.com), who owns several other business. I imagine it would be wise to avoid those as well.)

  3. Overcharged, damage and loss of goods

We ended up with Trig through a moving broker, AmericanPlus. I strongly advise avoiding using a broker. We did not know who was coming until the day they arrived, so were not able to look for reviews in advance. The broker had given us a "binding estimate" of $10,656.76 and charged us a binding estimate fee of $5000. The movers loaded our goods into 2 trucks and when it was almost completely loaded, told us that we had almost 3 times the volume of goods that our estimate stated, and raised the price to over $25K! I found out later that it was illegal for them to raise the price so much after we had a binding estimate, and also that movers are required by law to give consumers a book with their legal rights. I was able to get a copy from another mover, and found out after the fact how badly I had been cheated. We also found out after our goods were finally delivered--weeks later--that we had a far smaller volume of goods than they had claimed (about half). Additionally, they charged us a bulk fee to move a 3 wheel motorcycle. They promised that nothing would be touching it and charged extra for that. It did leave our house that way, but after they took it to their warehouse, stored it and then packed it onto a different truck, it had multiple items smashed up against it, damaging the paint in multiple places and breaking the antenna. They also snapped the wheels off from some furniture, bent the wheels on a toolbox and broke several fragile items. They have not paid for any of the damage that they caused and have still not even sent me an insurance claim form over a month after asking for one. The "Customer service" representatives promise call backs which don't come. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy--or maybe only to my worst enemy.

  4. Worst company ever

We relocated from California to Texas in Jan, 2021. We contacted a broker perennial van lines and they assigned Trig moving to our house on the moving date. Then the whole things became a disaster:

    - We were quoted that the moving cost would be around $4900 based on an detailed item list, however, after trig moving loaded everything on their truck, they gave me a invoice of $11,527.52. They said they charge by the space(they spread out our stuffs in stead of stack them up, of course it took much more space).

    - We were quoted that the moving would take about 5 to 10 days, however, it took 16 days for our furniture to arrive.

    - Upon the delivery, their driver called me and said that the streets in our apartment complex were too small for him to enter in, and we would have to pay another $900 to rent a shuttle, However, our apartment management office said that our streets are wide enough for their truck coming in, other tenants often have the same size of truck coming in for moving.

    - when the movers unloaded our belongings, some of them lift up boxes and put them upside down, disregard the "fragile" sign on the boxes, which of course caused many of glass items broken.

    - We also found that they mixed a desk that didn't belong to us with our furniture, we told the mover and returned it.

    - We only had very few furniture, however, 90% of them were broken.

    - We also had two large boxes missing

    - after talking to Trig customer service, they advice me to make a claim with the insurance company. On 07/26/21, the insurance company told us that the missing items are not covered, they suggest us to contact Trig again to locate them. They also sent my insurance compensation(60 cents per pound) for the broken items, a check of $87 to trig on 6/10/21, and trig should have already deliver the check to us

    - I called trig customer service, a male representative said that on my file that it showed no records that they need to send me a check. He would check with the billing department and let them get back to me. However, when I asked if they could try to find my missing item, he became very impatient, and still repeat that " I will check with billing department". I said" but isn't it a different issue, I don't think it's billing department's job to find my missing item", he repeated again" I will check with the billing department" then hang up my phone regardless I was saying "wait a minute".

    - I can't believe a customer service person would hang up on a customer like that, so I called right back. A woman whose name is [NAME EDIT]? answered. After I explained what just happened, and requested to talk to the previous guy again(I didn't catch his name at the first place), she said" hold on a minute, let me talk to him DIRECTLY". Then she put me on hold for two minutes, then back to the phone. When she came back, she wasn't as nice as before, she denied my request to talk to the other guy, she said because she didn't know who I talked to early, but didn't she just said that she would talk to him DIRECTLY two minutes ago? when I requested to talk to the supervisor, she refused again, she said they are all very busy now and the supervisor wouldn't have time to talk to me. She said she would call me back later after checking with my insurance compensation payment, then she did not call back at all.

  5. Do Not Use

They showed up a day later than promised. Price over doubled than what was quoted. Delivery was over two weeks later than promised. They left one kitchen table chair behind and after more than two months still have not delivered the chair. Nothing but empty promises from them. They just don't care after they take your money! Best you learn from my mistake and that of others and look elsewhere for a more reliable mover.

  6. Avoid

I really contracted with Ark Moving LLC and they told me that they move items themselves (and I was upfront about moving to Hawaii). But TRIG Moving showed up to pick up my things. I had no time to research TRIG before accepting their services. Completely unprofessional, bouncing my boxes down the concrete steps, dropping boxes and saying "I didn't do it on purpose!" to which I said "I know you didn't, that is the point." They took 3 months to deliver my shipment, lost 3 boxes, one of which was an electric piano which I specifically mentioned to them I was concerned for. How do you lose an 8 foot long box that had my name and the pickup address on it from the old UPS sticker still on the box? After reading reviews of TRIG, and the experience I had with them, I am quite convinced that they stole my piano. Had I known that Ark Moving was contracting out I could have looked up the reviews for TRIG, but they were not honest with me so I lost out. Avoid both of these companies and be sure to ask your mover WHICH company is coming to pick up your stuff.

  7. WARNING

DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS FOR YOUR MOVE!!! THEY WILL STEAL MANY IF NOT ALL OF YOUR ITEMS. IF THEY DO DELIVER YOUR ITEMS, THEY MOST CERTAINLY WILL BE BROKEN AND MISSING.

  8. BEWARE! Failed to deliver on time. Not responsive.

Our stuff was picked up on 02/21/21 from Los Angeles, CA and should be delivered to Miami, FL by this company. The day we signed the agreement we specifically asked what is the longest delivery time frame and were told that max is 21 day. We mentioned that we need this shipment be on time because we are leaving the country in a month and need to receive everything before we leave. Supervisor said they can't promise to deliver everything fast but it should be delivered on time.

A few weeks later we decided check the status of the shipment but nobody return our calls or answer emails. On 03/08/21 we called to the office again and were told that our shipment is still in Los Angeles and ETA is now on 03/21/21. Seriously??? We have flight tickets and all hotels booked (some are non-refundable) starting 03/17/21! Also we should go to the country where it's very cold right now without any winter clothes. Who's gonna receive our shipment as well?? How people should leave without any clothes/furniture for a month?

This company not even failed to deliver everything on time, but they did not inform us about possible delays even when we sent them emails asking about the shipment status. If we knew about this issue a week ago we might ask another company to pick up our staff from their warehouse but they decided just not to answer.

When we complained on the phone we also were told that they are working on getting a truck faster and somebody will call us in the evening to update a status. Nobody called of course. Today we called to the office again and status is still the same. They are planning to ship our boxes this weekend and it won't be delivered on time because of that. I asked for a supervisor to contact us regarding this issue. Waiting for the call now to see if they can resolve the issue.

P.S. I will update this review the day I receive our shipment. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!

  9. Super shady, attempted fraud, damaged goods

Never use this company. They are shady. I am in the process of suing them for fraud, breach of contract and gross negligence.

These guys are not "closed" as I received an email from their customer service department on Friday February 27, 2021. I suspect they marked their business as closed to avoid more bad reviews.

They were assigned to my move by a moving broker, so I did not research them directly. This was a mistake. The move was a disaster from start to finish. I could (and have) written pages of documentation, which would be too long to share here, so I will offer you a brief list of the most egregious failures:

    1. They lied to me and claimed my goods occupied 1,600 cubic feet. When I measured the volume at the time of delivery it was about half that amount (~800 c.f.). I allege this was fraud because I cannot see how any experience mover would overcalculate by 100%. Indeed, at the origin, they "showed" me the truck completely full. At the destination, it was only half full. Short of some voodoo of goods shrinkage, it seems an obvious conclusion that they were attempting to defraud me.

    2. They did not place inventory stickers on most of my items, which made it impossible for me to verify receipt of goods at the destination. I still do not believe all of my goods arrived.

    3. There was a tremendous amount of damage, way more than could have been accidental. I allege gross negligence. They completely destroyed a $1,000 grill, a $2,000 mattress, an antique sideboard, and numerous other items. My items were crushed, dirty, and clearly mishandled.

    4. They failed to reassemble many of my goods at the destination because they lost parts or they had packed parts deep into boxes and were therefore not available at delivery time.

I took these disputes up with them and I made them a very generous settlement offer ($1,500), which would not make me whole but which I felt would be sufficient for me to release them from their contract. The customer service person agreed this was more than fair and asked me to write an email documenting our discussion and to also provide information on my preferred method of payment.

Weeks passed. I was given the run around. Finally, I sent them a demand letter threatening suit, to which they responded that their only obligation would be file an insurance claim—which would reimburse me at $0.60/lb. This is not an acceptable settlement and so I am taking them to court.

Also, last time I checked fraud is illegal, so I will also pursue a criminal investigation (I doubt I am the only person they've defrauded) and I will also go after their license.

Wish me luck. Do not use them.

  10. Scam artist

This company is a straight up scam artist. I started by estimate with National Moving & Storage where I sent a video of everything that needed to be moved. Two different people gave me the exact same estimate for $2,600 said they were overestimating the cubic feet. They give the job to Trig Storage who shows up looks around my apartment for less than a minute and decides I owe $4100, did not calculate anything, parks the truck far away and tries to charge me extra for it, tries to charge me extra for an elevator which I was told was included in my estimate. Tried to tell me gas for the truck was not included. These people were literally making up BS to jack up my price. They tried to pretend that my estimate done by National Express moving didn’t mean anything when that company took 30 minutes to go over each exact item in the video and calculate meticulously how much it would cost. Trig Moving looked around for seconds and made up numbers. Thank God they did not pick up my stuff. I read other reviews on Yelp of Trig deciding people owe more money upon delivery and holding their stuff hostage until they pay. I also read multiple reviews of items broken. So thank God, I turned down their ridiculous BS estimate. I was told they would put everything in the truck and only pay extra if I went over 352 cubic feet, which was supposedly overestimated by 2 different people at National Express Moving from a video. Trig didn’t try to move one thing. They didn’t try to fit anything into a truck. They just tried to get me to sign for some ridiculous amount. Run the other direction!!

  11. So fast and professional

These types of companies have the advantage of human warmth, they make you feel safe and trust them.

They have taken care of all my things and that is appreciated.

  12. Horrible Service! - Do not use this company!!!

Do yourself a HUGE favor and DO NOT go with hiring this company. It's a racket what these people are doing. Grab a drink and read on...

First they tried to 'UP' the price. That didn't work well for them. I had every item measured with some padding and everything on a spreadsheet. Do that always, I got burned previously and learned my lesson. So these guys were not happy but I measure the truck, took pictures etc. so they were pissed they could not double the price. 1:0 for me on the one....

For the record the sales guy and the guys that packed the items were nice.

I begun conversation with Travis from Sales re: my move. On 11/9/20 I signed a contract for 11/19/20 pick up of my household goods. I called that same day as instructed by the driver to schedule delivery timeframe of this week (week of 11/30) and First Day of Delivery = the Pick up Date.

As per contract: Average time frame to deliver is 7-14 days on average. The terms of the contract are 1-30 business days from the FIRST DAY CUSTOMER IS READY FOR DELIVERY. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date (unless you book a full 18 wheeler to far states or a 26Feet truck to a close state).Any oral promises made regarding delivery dates and times are mere estimates.

I was following up with them and today 11/30/20, I was told that they are still looking for a truck and that the goods are still in CA. The representative could not transfer me to his supervisor and asked me to call in an hour or so.

I did and spoke with "David". I explained the history and he just cut me off by saying that I should have read the contract better. I told him that I did and that 2 of their representatives told be that the delivery is typically 7-14 days after pickup. I told him I called on day of pick up immediately as advised and the timeframe was good this week (2 weeks after pick up)

Again he told me that I should have read better what I signed. I told him that I did. Then he asked me if I'm lying to myself by not reading to the contract. Here starts the back and forth. He was rude, but ok, everyone is stressed out. Then he proceeded to tell me that they have 30 days to deliver by contract.

I asked him to speak to his supervisor. He told me there is no one else and he is it. Asked him if he is the owner. He said he is not and he is not going to transfer me or pass on a message to him. He asked me if I was calling Microsoft I wouldn't ask to speak with Bill Gates. At this time it was clear that the conversation was not going anywhere. I told him that I will be reporting them to BBB for customer service issues as well as DOT, which I did last night (11/30)

So basically I'm left knowing only the following. My stuff that got picked up on 11/19 is still in CA on 11/30. Because of his blatant disregard, I'm now almost sure that it will be January before I get any of my stuff.

I fail to understand how can companies like this stay in business.

I'd like to speak to someone or ask for help in

    1. Finding my stuff and getting it to my location.

    2. A letter of apology from "David" about his rudeness, and his manager.

    3. Refund for breach of contract.

    4. A call from David's manager.

Update: I tagged them on IG and someone responded late last night that they will get in touch with me today 12/1. NOTHING. I'm probably never going to get any of my stuff delivered after this review, but potential customers need to know, so they are aware.

  13. Horrible service do not use!!

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

We moved from California to Texas they were late and they ruined our mattress and our bed they broke 2 legs, a computer, both lights on my Husband’s motorcycle and they laid it on its side, they are rude, greedy and unprofessional we paid $12,000 which included disassemble and reassemble of all items and the man refused to reassemble our items.

The workers told us that the customer before had 23 items missing I’m sure we have some missing items also they also gave us another customers items.

He did not pay the driver of the 18 wheeler and they argued inside and outside of my home and the driver had to call the police.

I am taking them and the broker Quality move to court.

  14. As awful as it gets.

    - Unprofessional & incredibly unhelpful customer service.

    - Move was communicated in the afternoon the day before the move.

    - Request a first day of delivery which then takes at least another 2 weeks to get the items.

    - Ended up getting charged 50% more than quoted. ($4k vs. $6k) even though we had itemized by size 95% of the pieces.

I absolutely regret ever having to do business with them. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

  15. Disgusted.

My stuff is over three weeks late, no one communicated with me and when I do get ahold of them after several tries they give me empty promises of when my stuff will be delivered. This has gone on long enough—I’m calling the police, the BBB and attorney general today. When I asked for the storage location of my items, a man named Robert who works for Trig told me he could not provide that location. I want to hire another moving company or get a Uhaul to get my stuff out of there and they can’t even disclose where they are holding my belongings—This is downright UNETHICAL AND SCARY. They GASLIGHT ME and say oh we’re still under contract and “we have over 600 clients we are dealing with right now” and last week they said “300”. I just keep getting pushed back into the back of the room: it’s so obvious my 650sq ft of belongings do not matter anymore. I’m disgusted with this service—my life and job depends on my belongings being delivered to me.
