  1. Do not use this company!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I do not know how they are still in business. I had the worst experience I've ever had with any business with these guys.

To begin- they asked me how many pieces of furniture I had, number of boxes, etc. I gave them the exact specs of my furniture and number/size of boxes. They quoted me something that was comparable to other quotes I had received so thought it was a fair price. They also guaranteed 13 - 15 days delivery which I thought was also fair.

When it was all said and done I owed about 3x as much as they quoted me originally and it took 31 days to deliver. They tacked on extra charges at pick up and arrival. They charged me about $1k more after loading my stuff into the truck and said it took up more space than what they had projected. Whose fault is that? I gave them the exact measurements/amounts. Initially, I even asked for a quote for an additional 5 boxes and they said the cost would remain the same. I didn't even use 1 extra box and they still tacked on $1k like it was nothing. The same thing happened when they arrived but with different reasons for charging me more.

They only take cash upon delivery. No checks, CC. I completely understand why now.

After I paid them they said my desk was broken. It was in shambles. In addition to that:
    1. Bookcase in shambles.
    2. Base to bed frame missing.
    3. 2 boxes missing. 1 box had most of my nice work shirts and nice jackets.

So for the cost to me move my stuff out there, it cost me considerably more to replace all the things they broke/lost.

A few other things to note:

    1. When I called the front office one time asking why it was taking so long, they said the driver didn't show up to his last shift and they were trying to find a new one.
    2. Upon delivery the driver could not find where I lived even though he had the exact address. I had to go drive and meet him 2 miles away and have him follow me to my place.
    3. The driver yelled at me multiple times because I questioned him about my belongings. Yes yelled.
    4. Every time I called the front office (which was over 5x) they said they would call me back and not once did they ever do so.
    5. I still have PTSD from working with these guys. Half kidding, half serious.

I could go on, but I covered the main points that I wanted to share with others in hopes that they see this before falling into this nightmare. Everything that can go wrong with these guys will go wrong. They are rude, they are unprofessional, your belongings will not be safe, and they will scam you.

  2. Scam, USA Logistics Moving - they treat you very badly.

They will be very nice until you book the order. Once they picked the items, they will increase the moving cost at-least by 50%. They won't update you about when they will ship your items and when the items will reach at your place. If you ask them for the updates, they will treat you very badly and they won't even answer your queries. And upon delivery, they will ask for additional $300 - $1000 for the shuttle fee. If you ask for the clarification, they will threaten you by saying they will place your items in auction company. They told that my items will reach within 3 - 5 days. But they took more than 4 weeks. Suddenly one day they will call you and ask you for additional 300 - 1000 dollars for the deliver. And their drivers also will treat you badly. Please don't do any business with them. I would have negative rating, if there is a option to give negative rating. If you do business with them, you will lose your peace.

  3. Worst moving experience.

Do not use this company. I would give them negative stars. I moved from San Diego to Cambridge MA. My items were moved from SanDiego to LA, where they sat there for a week (and presumably wouldn't have been moved unless I had called), and were then shipped over from LA to Cambridge using a different moving company. The people who delivered my items barely spoke english, which made it difficult to communicate, and refused to move my items until I payed them an extra 100 because there was an elevator in the building. It turns out they lost my table during the LA transfer. I'm happy I did not move anything valuable with them, and moved that myself.

  4. Do Not Use Usa Logistics Moving.

Please do not use this company. They gave us a binding estimate and then once our items were in their truck they told us it would be almost double of what they bid. They told us they were professional piano movers, which they clearly weren't (looking up youtube videos on how to take apart a Steinway grand) so we had to add an extra expense of hiring piano movers on both sides of the move. We paid the extra fee so that our items were taken apart and put back together. Upon arrival there was only the driver, so we had to hire an additional crew at our expense to unload the truck and reassemble our furniture. I filed a claim following all of their instructions and a settlement was found in my favor. Almost a year later they still have not paid and when I call they say the same thing - we will put the check in the mail tomorrow. They are horribly dishonest.

  5. Do Not Use!

DO NOT work with this company. I thought I had done my due diligence in interviewing several companies and reading all the contract information but I didn't read all the negative reviews. Speaking to Richard Marshall on the phone about this move was amazing. He addressed my concern, verified as long as nothing changes from contract then the price is the price. However, once my MIL goods were on the truck, we were told we owed more money for 'Interstate Fees'. When reaching out to Richard, to get explanation as there were now 'fees' not on our contract even though nothing changed he is a ghost! Now that they have our stuff, we have no idea where in the US it is, or when it actually will arrive. We are nervous of how the team will treat MIL when they arrive, if they do, and try to extort more money from here. This company is a SHAM and funny only works in cash outside of 1st deposit. Shouldve been my first warning..

  6. Horrible Stay Away from these Awful People!

I have waited five months since I moved to calm down before I wrote my review so that I could be honest and accurate in my review. Here goes: I moved from Reno Nevada on the 30th of December 2018. I had been working with USA Logistics since November of 2018 with their salesperson Alan who was very helpful and walked me through the process. Because money was a big issue to me I kept within the number of boxes I told him I would be having - 40. I had exactly the same number of everything and yet on moving day they charged me double the cost - another $1700 that I would have to pay on the day the goods were delivered. The people who picked up the items were "just okay". One used my bathroom and stayed in there for a full 25 minutes -- and to this day I don't know what he was doing. My goods came in four days (Reno to Boulder Colorado) but I didn't have that money to pay and I told the man at the end of the phone I had the same number of goods and I wasn't going to pay. What a horrible man! In a nasty voice he said "We're going to sell your belongings at auction if you don't pay". I went to a lawyer a day later who, in my presence and with my moving documents in hand called that man who I believe was the dispatch fellow. He slurred his words so much and barely ennunciated at we couldn't understand him. Basically, he said I had double the number of boxes and that was why I was charged the extra. He said to my lawyer to look on the paperwork and see where the boxes numbered 80. There was no such number and in fact the sheet was so barely filled out that the word boxes was barely legible. At that point the man had to concede that I didn't owe any extra. My goods were delivered only with an additional charge of $400 because the tractor trailer truck couldn't park 30 feet away from the entrance of the building. Fair enough as I had signed something previously about that.

One of my beautiful diningroom chairs was smashed to bits and a coffee maker was smashed (these I discovered right off). I filed a claim for reimbursement and (wait for it) after 120 days the insurance company sent me a settlement offer of $12 - based on the weight of the items. I was so disgusted I wrote back and said obviously your company needs the money so much more than I do so keep your wretched $12. Since that time I have discovered other breakage and damage but have such a terrible feeling about this company I want to do nothing else regarding them.

Stay away from them please. I'm writing a letter to the Attorney General in California to make them aware of their terrible business practices in the hope they stop but I doubt they will.

  7. I've never regretted a transaction more in my life.

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! This was the worst experience of all time. Original quote was for 120 cubic feet. Updated them and advised we had approximately 240 cubic feet and my total charge was just over $1600. They picked up our items, loaded up the truck and drove off then told us we had 400 cubic feet they needed to bill at a higher cost for a total of over $3,200. When the deliver arrived I measured the space in the truck which my items occupied and I only had 198 cubic feet of space. When I tried to discuss with management office she to paraphrase called me a liar and a child and told me to grow up. This move was supposed to be a great opportunity for my family, this company made our move incredibly stressful. We also had damaged items, which are the least of my concerns considering I was over charged nearly $2,000.

  8. Don't do It!

EVERY REVIEW ID TRUE!! I wish I had read these reviews! Quoted $3500 for move from California to South Dakota! Charged us 11K once our items were loaded and they were holding them hostage. Delivered without letting us know they were coming and we were not waiting..threatened to auction all our belongings off if we didn't find a storage unit for them to dump everything! Worst and most expensive experience of our life!!

  9. Worst Experience Ever.

The man who will give you a quote will real you in and make you feel like you have made a great move by using this company. The people that show up are not professional and will tack on several extra charges. We gave an estimate of items: one desk, one tv stand, one large cat tree and 50 boxes. This is all my daughter had to move from her college apartment(ca) to her apartment in Kentucky to start grad school. She came in at 42 boxes and the moving company tacked on an additional $700 and at first stated something about square footage. This is against the law and when I tried to speak to a manager I told the office staff ( who are miserable human beings) that is against the law per the DOT they soon started stating that the extra charge was due to weight. I asked them if they calculated per box we would come in under weight as we were under the estimate. After calling 3 times a day for a week a manager finally agreed to give me a small discount, only he did not tell the movers, so my daughter could not receive her items unless she paid the full amount. On top of this they did not make it on time to Kentucky. My daughters items were late getting there and each and every box was soaked, completely wet. Thank goodness I told her to put everything in a trash bag before she puts it in a box. They will tell you it reads in the contract that they do not guarantee a date of delivery, but the estimator Alan will definitely make it sound like it will get there on the date you choose. Each and every time I have called the office I have ended up screaming at the office staff. I have not been brought to that level in many years. But once your items are picked up the estimator becomes a ghost and they will not let you speak to him. Bottom line do not trust this company nothing they say is true. They will tack on useless charges and not guarantee your shipment will get there on the date you need it to be there.

  10. Run Screaming in The Night.

Everything negative that was said here is true and more. I had boxes, few bins and few pieces of luggage and four small items and they wanted to almost double the price upon pick-up. They are scammers as they are nice at first even though they already give you an inflated quote, but sound real professional, so you trust them - bait tactic - then when confronted they make it look like they are giving you a discount as a favor. No discount at all, they are legally not supposed to inflate the cost more than 10% of the original quote and that is still highway robbery.
They do not do what you tell them. They broke items and lost items and they treat your items like they are tossing garbage. Most of my boxes where banged, torn and ripped open. Also dirty and full of dust!! Wonder how many times they were shifted and shafted, since they messed up on the storage request as well. Their staff is horrible and disrespectful including the manager by the name of TOM. Deplorable is an understatement.

  11. Do Not Ship With Them!

Should have read more reviews before committing to them. Was quoted $1200 and at delivery was asked for $2500. In addition I was sold on the fact that the items would get to me in 2-3 weeks, and it has now been 4 weeks and I am still being told they are "checking with the drivers" to see where the items are. Offered $20/day discount for each day they are late after 21 BUSINESS days, meanwhile I am sleeping on the floor and then expected to pay DOUBLE what I was originally quoted. HORRIBLE experience. PLEASE DO NOT SHIP WITH THEM.

  12. 2 room home.

Worst moving company ever . Bid was 1600 to move from az to Wy and I ended up paying over 5000 . My Amore jelwery nbos hadhandles busted off and was brought in upside down my refrigerator has 3 big dents in it all boxes have holes in them and smashed . My figuring that had towels s around the are all broke and they kept my stuff in storage in Calif for a month and when I call they kept telling me it was being loaded and heade my way . They flat out lye to you now to file a claim I get a message. Alan Douglas is nice at first then you sign contract and things change. He doesn’t allow enough space for items so you have to pay more, driver that delivered was goi g to leave with my stuff unles I paid him cash , he didn’t even give me my change . Do not ever use this company they are terrible Pay the extra and have your two rooms done by people who are actually up front with you . What a POS company.

  13. Don.

GET THE PRIVATE INSURANCE AND DON"T GO WITH USA LOGISTICS!

Worst company ever! Terrible Customer service and will give you the run around after they get your money.

Pay for private insurance! take BEFORE photos of your things! Take an active inventory of your things and organize it well! Don't let this company or any moving company take advantage of you like they did me.

We are blessed that the damage incurred was not worse than it was.,We originally believed that the company insurance alone would be enough, we unfortunately learned the hard way that they won't take liability for their actions so now we are stuck with damaged things and no response or help from USA Logistics or their insurance company.

READ THE FINE PRINT & GET PRIVATE INSURANCE SEPARATE FROM THE MOVING COMPANY!

  14. Do Not Use This Company.

I initially spoke with Alan Douglas in regards to a move for my college age son for February 1st. Alan came across knowledgeable in regards to moving cross country. As a military family who has moved 11 times in 20 years we are very use to long moves and what moving entails.

Once the items were picked up, Alan became a ghost. I have spoken with numerous "customer service agents" who are rude and lack any knowledge when it comes to moving.

Our son's items arrived 3 days past the 21 day "guarantee". Items were delivered at 9p IN THE DARK. The delivery driver attempted to nickel and dime us out of an additional $750 (refer back to our experience with moving .. we were NOT paying additional charges that were clearly NOT in the contract).

Then to add insult to injury a box is missing. The driver refuses to take responsibility for it. The customer service agents keep referring us back to the driver. In other words, they have NO intention of finding this missing box! It contains items my son's great-grandmother left him in her will!

I will be reporting this company to the BBB and am considering a small claims suit based on their own contract which they blatantly disregarded.

The only blessing in all this is the driver texted to my son so EVERYTHING is in writing which will aid us in all disputes going forward. The text messages prove our case 100% against the contract we signed.

Do not use this company EVER!

  15. Conflicting Contracts, Items Held Hostage.

Great until they have your money. And they will find a way to continue to screw you. I'd sell my belongings and start over before I hired them again.

The contract upon deposit charges by weight. Once items were in the truck they surprised me with a new contract, with charges based on size, adding $600 to my cost. The manager said guests are often confused and bothered.

They outsource and the delivery driver from a different company showed up with my contract and made up new charges including an elevator fee and a random $240 figure for a long haul. He could not show me either of these in the contract, but said said if I don't pay he'll "take [my] items to Texas where [he] lives". When I called USA to dispute, he threatened to charge me a waiting fee, and they told me to "stop being a baby" and "stop finding loopholes" and they hung up on me. I ended up talking them down but they got about $700 out of me, illegally.
