These guys were amazing! They were very responsive regarding getting me a quote, they showed up on time and they got the job done. We had a very stressful situation and they made the move more bearable. They go long distance and we will definitely be using them in the future. I also found out they will pack and store your items if you aren't quite ready to ship them. Can't say enough great things about everyone we dealt with at this company.

They over charged me held my possessions hostage, lied and ruined many of my items.
I've moved 10 times in the last 10 years.
On top of everything they charged me an additional cost as they didn't notify me 24 in advance when the delivery should arrive but called in the morning for my address and that they were on their way. I told them I couldn't accept the delivery that morning as I was in the ER. I eventually received my items 3 weeks later and several item were left in their warehouse. They don't answer calls either. Worst experience ever.

My 2bd house.
Guys, if we had the choice to go back to the last few moves that my family has had in recent decades, I would totally convince them to hire these guys all over. I was never old enough during the old moves that we had, and my parents moved place to place pretty frequently. This time it was a relocation due to a new job offer and we had gotten into contact with the guys from vanguard in hopes of getting some help. They were more than friendly and reassured us that they would do everything they could to make our transition into a new city easier. From the moment they stepped foot into our house it was a great experience, and the movers we were assigned were very personable and experienced guys. Totally recommend them.
Sacramento - Las Vegas.
Me and my family had to move from Sacramento to Las Vegas so we called Vanguard long distance movers team and they did an absolute wonderful job. A lot of my items were extremely fragile and sensitive and they assured me they would take care of it. All of those items came in exactly like the day I bought them. My entire family were thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and dedication to make sure we got the best service. I recommend everyone use these guys!
Moving project.
Such a pleasant company to deal with in regards to having your home or office space moved out. They were so willing to cooperate with us in any way possible, including meeting our deadlines and bringing special types of equipment to ensure the safety of our stuff. One example is the wooden crates they had that enabled all of the things you needed to be moved to remain still while they are shipped.
Since your stuff is moving many miles across the country insurance would be something good to consider. They offered us several affordable deals as well as a bundle that included insurance. Very reliable company and they are willing to help you out understanding the current state of the economy.
The best part of this whole thing is that they even helped us clear out the unnecessary stuff in our house and found us a good and cheap storage company to store our stuff into. We had a lot of furniture that needed to remain in the old house and they offered us to move those out if need be. But my parents were ordering new sets of couches and kitchen tables so I guess we really did not need it. Nevertheless, very great experience and would consider using them again.
Long distance moving.
I had great experience with this company on my moving! These guys are really professionals and I can not say enough about them and their workmanship. This company made my moving experience much easier than any other company would.
Thank you guys very much! I am very pleased with service provided by these movers! It was such an easy move. I hired three guys to move a two bedroom apartment. They showed up on time and never stopped working until everything was done and organized accordingly. They were hard working and full of energy not slacking off at any point in the move.
When my belongings arived they finished ahead of schedule and all our stuff was moved without damage. Vanguard Van Lines is the best long distance moving company!
FAKE Positive Reviews - Hire a Reputable Mover.
DO NOT be influenced by the positive reviews, which are FAKE!! Hire this company for an out-of-state move at YOUR OWN RISK. They are brokers who sub-contract with drivers and movers. They demanded half of the cost on pick up (over $5k for a 2 bedroom condo) and the other half via certified check on delivery. Our items arrived on a Penske truck and arrived damaged and broken. Large items were missing or stolen. Parts of my wood bed looked like it was left in the rain, rather than kept in storage. This company has numerous negative posts that reflect similar experiences by others. They are hiding their negative reviews on YELP
by changing their name from “Vanguard Van Lines” to “Guardian Lines”. The Better Business Bureau gave them an “F” rating. Do your homework and AVOID being scammed like us. There is no “free” storage and they don’t care about your items. My bike, which I bought and only used twice “could not be found”. Our large patio table “broke”. My furniture, which I bought 4 years ago arrived chipped, dented, warped and damaged. They charged us $11,200 for a 2 bedroom condo which did NOT include packing. The average cost should be $5 k or less.

I can not get anyone at Vanguard to return my calls on the status of the load .. where are my belongings? All I get is a message machine. The van was suppose to be delivering to my new location today and I can not find out ANY status on where the truck is. The mover, Ivan, was WONDERFUL at pick up and packing .. but after that there is no contact at all. HELP?
My long distance move.
Good job! They gave us one of the lowest cost estimate. I had to call to confirm it was such a good price.
We amended my estimate based on the feedback from the estimators, still lower cost than everyone else. I opted to pay for a bigger truck and more crew in order to shorten the trip and ensure they would not need a second load. Again, great advice from the estimators.
We moved from a very full storage unit to a 2 BR row house.
Vanguard team arrived on time and communicated via phone prior to arrival so I wasn't sitting around. They were friendly and moved fast. Very professional, took care of our things and asked politely where everything belonged. Entire move was completed just short of what they estimated. They even assembled our bed frame. We gave them a good tip. Thx a lot!
Great experience with Vanguard team.
Our moving process became very easy work for all my family. I am so grateful for Vanguard Van Lines. Realy professional long distance movers!
Recently, due to my father's work my family had to move out of the house I had lived in for all my life in Irvine. Being a hard process for my family, Vanguard Van Lines made this process so much more relaxing and easy. When I called and explained essentially that my family was moving our entire house, they ensured that they treat each item as if it was their own. Their attention to detail and care they showed from wrapping up my bed so that it could not be scratched to taking extra special care of my moms antique china.
The move went beyond well and now I can comfortably say that my new house in Bay Area really feels like home. I am so grateful and thankful for the care they showed and I highly recommend this company to anyone moving for a long distance.
Interstate move from California to Texas.
I contacted Vanguard Van Lines about moving one item from California to Texas. It was picked up on the agreed date. Took a little over a week and then it was on its way to Texas. It was packed very well and arrived with no problems. Last but not least I want to give a shout out to Roberta in the main office. She was very helpful in getting the freight rolling into Texas.
Do Not Use Vanguard Van Lines!
DO NOT USE! This company is a complete joke. Read all reviews. While the prices may seem reasonable, be prepared for an insane experience. The "sales consultant" (Michael Jameson) will disappear and not respond to any calls, emails, voicemails, etc. the second the crew shows up. My movers showed up at 11PM (if you can imagine) to complete a whole house move. They then 1) insisted that I pay CASH and 2) the tried to increase the agreed upon price during the pick-up. Eventually (2+ weeks later) only a portion of my things arrived. The delivery crew refused to unload my belongings until CASH was paid immediately. Most items were heavily damaged and significant items were missing (i.e. a dining room table, art, etc.). The company has yet to locate or compensate me for my lost items..and I suspect they never will. You will no doubt engae with "Roberta" eventually who fields all complaints and be prepared as she only communicates occasionally via incomplete text messages. I've moved quite frequently and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had.
Vanguard Van Lines Review.
Had a great experience with these guys! Easy to book with nice reps, didn’t have a problem booking right away and getting the pickup date I needed. I had about 900 cubic feet and they had no problem picking it up. The movers came and did a great job wrapping and packing everything so nothing would get damaged plus they handled my things with care. Delivery was on time and everything was unloaded off the truck with excellent consideration. No damages or missing items. Movers were hard workers and the representative that helped book me was extremely helpful as well.
Overall, I had a great experience with Vanguard, everything went smoothly which rarely happens when moving. Everyone was professional, efficient, and careful with my things which is all one can hope for during a move. I was impressed by their reps, delivery timing, foreman and movers, and representative, Michael, who helped rule out additional fees and also informed me PRIOR to the move date of any additional fees like stairs or elevator fees. This made me feel comfortable about my move date and what to expect.
Vanguard Van Lines - Great Moving Experience!
I usually move myself with some extra help from friends and family, but moving from California to Texas was just a long distance move that was too much to handle alone. Although I was nervous, I had a great experience from beginning to end with the entire staff! The representative that helped coordinate my move was wonderful and even went out of his way to google earth the locations to rule out any surprise additional fees on the big move day. I thought this was brilliant. Once the movers showed up they were professional but very nice at the same time. AND they came with all the wrapping materials. So I didn’t have to worry about the extra charge for moving blankets, plastic wrap, tape, and the rep also kept in touch with me throughout the whole process. Besides coming prepared with supplies, and they did a fantastic job maneuvering some of my furniture items around some tricky corners. I would definitely recommend these guys for any kind of long distance move or any of their other services!! My items were delivered in a timely manner and without any damages or missing items!
Update to my previous post.
I settled my dispute with the company but not at the value of my lost or destroyed items. I still have yet to receive the tv that they found.
IF you use this company MAKE SURE U order the extra insurance. They tried to pay us by the pounds and not the value of the items lost or destroyed. We have not been truly made whole. I don't recommend them at all. Use at your own risk truly!
