    Hakeem and Gabriel did a great job on my move. They showed up on time and were great to work with. Would highly recommend using them again.

  2. Stay away!!

    Booked with this company on 9/1 for a move on 9/12. Via Groupon. They were a no show. Probably because I purchased off Groupon. Called me at 1 asking what time and I told them I needed them at 4. He said oh we can’t do that we only had two moved scheduled for today and that won’t work. In the text I received when I booked said arrival window anytime between 11 and 5. No excuse. Then said he will call his manager and get back with me. Nothing. Waited two hours and finally I called him again. My Number and my husbands number was blocked. No call from a manager. I called the office 6 times in the past two days. Leaving messages every time and still no call back or anything. I’m livid. I have a 26ft truck that needed to be un-loaded after my 9 hour drive. Now I am scrambling last minute on having to find someone because y’all want to unprofessional. I hope you lose business over this and people will go with someone else because this is wrong!! Don’t own a business if you can’t control it. Glad I was able to get my refund through Groupon!! Y’all should be ashamed!!

    Let’s start by saying there’s no office in Belle View, it’s a PO Box. These guys hide from you and for good reason.

    Do not do business with a cash up front mover.

    They’ll adjust the quote on fake estimates of your move size.

  4. Can I give a -5 star rating?

    Worst morning experience of my life. They arrived 2 days late for pick-up. Delivered 34 days later than promised. Had a vehicular accident in which the top of the moving van was ripped off going under a low overpass. The driver abandoned the truck which was towed to impound where it sat (open topped) for 10 days with heavy rain and high temperatures. Over 50% of our household good were ruined beyond repair. They discarded over $10,000 of our possessions in a dumpster because of water damage then took the remaining items, threw them onto another truck and finally delivered them WITHOUT TELLING US ABOUT THE ACCIDENT!! And charged us an additional $2,500 upon delivery!!
    Have filed claims for reimbursement for loss 2 times and they do not respond. Not one single penny in compensation, not even the $0.60 per pound guaranteed in the contract.
    AMERICAN EAGLE MOVING SUCKS!!
    Do yourself a favor, have absolutely any other moving company do your move..ANY OTHER COMPANY WOULD BE BETTER!!

  5. Nightmare.

    The moving company is American Eagle Moving LLC 1602 Belle View Blvd #3032 Alexandria Va 22307 Phone is
    1-844-239-8463. We sent the moving company a list of everything we had and overestimated to make sure we would
    know the worst case amount it would cost for the move. We have copies of several emails from the Moving company
    verifying this information. After receiving 4 different quotes the 1st stated 12-7-2017, 2nd 12-9-2017, 3rd 01-02-2018,
    and final 01-03-2018 with a quote of $6170.25. I have sent a copy of each in the file upload. Upon arrival, the company
    showed up in a small box truck. The driver surveyed our 2 bedroom apartment and said he did not have the room and
    said it would cost more. After several phone calls, we were assured that the issue would be worked out. So I paid the
    extra deposit and did sign the new contract. We had to be out of the apartment that day so staying was not an option. We
    already had everything packed but was told it was not good enough. They left all the items in the boxes we packed them
    in and just put tape around everything. The movers got everything packed into the truck they said it would not fit in and
    then explained it would be put in a warehouse until other customers that were on our way needed to be moved. We
    specifically asked them beforehand if they were a broker company and they told us no. I have the email with the
    conversation and them telling us they are a moving company. We were told that we should expect our things by the 1st of
    Feb. this did not happen. It is noted in the quote that it could be 14 days but pick up was on Jan. 29th 2018 and we did not
    get our belonging until 02/22/2018 will over the 14 days. So they tried to tell us that Texas is considered the west coast
    and they have 21 days to deliver. Even with that, it was still over the 21 days. Between the time we waited for our
    belongs we went back and forth with the agent we booked with, management and other but they would not budge on the
    price. We even showed them that the number of square ft they said our thing took up was not possible. I have sent a copy
    of the moving boxes used and the moving calculator we used to figure our sq ft. They said we would have to pay the
    amount to get our thing back so of course, we agreed. We finally had our things delivered as I stated above on 2-22-2018.
    Upon arrival, the driver opened the trailer and it was discovered that 25 percent of our things had been rained on. While
    unloading our items it was noticed several things that had damage, had been broken or missing. We have pictures
    showing the damage that I can send if you would like them. We had boxes missing and other things which we have on
    the Bill of Landing that myself and the driver noted. After receiving our items we have made several attempts to resolve
    this situation with American Eagle Moving LLC. 1st we were told to file a claim form which we did it states we should
    receive a letter within 14 days that the claim was filed, which we did not. We did attach along with the claim form
    receipts for items damaged, broken or missing along with pictures. Then they told us it would 120 days which the claim
    form clearly has 14 days on it I have put that in the file upload as well. For the 120 days, we did try to contact the
    company numerous times to try and resolve our situation, but they would not return emails or calls. After the 120 days,
    we got an attorney and gave her all our information. After looking over all of our documentation she then sent them a
    demand letter to which she never received a reply,.

  6. Damaged TV and washing machine.

    We moved in May 2018 are are still waiting for reimbursement for a broken washing machine and broken TV. Customer Service either won't answer the phone, or answers and then just hangs up. Not a nice way to treat customers, American Eagle.

  7. Do Not Use This Company.

    Local move within Florida
    I used this moving company (which has a FL location) when I moved down here from WI last July. My household was picked up 6/30/18. I was told that it would take 14 business days, not including weekends or holidays. Once they picked up my household goods, they put it into a warehouse in Chicago IL. This is where it sat for 2 months.

    I had to live in my new home with out anything for 2 months. I called multiple times, with no response or them stating that they didn't have a driver to deliver my household. I looked at there DOT number and it was out of service. They finally delivered my items on 9/7/18, stating that I had to pay full price of the remaining balance and I could fill out a claim form for a refund. This refund would be $30.00 a day that they were late, with a total of $750.00 owed to me. American Eagle movers would take 120 days to review my claim and get back to me. It has now been past the 120 day mark and no one will answer my calls. I looked and the DOT number is now inactive, because of not paying fines!!
    This company is awful! Customer service is a joke!
    Again - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

  8. Do Not Use.

    Sorry for the long review but it was a long, crappy process with this company. They are an absolutely terrible moving company. They gave me a quote of $2400 only to raise it $600 when they arrived saying I was ‘misquoted’. I had no choice but to pay the extra money because they were already 3 days late to pick my belongings up and I had a cross country drive to make. It then took well outside of their 6 week delivery guarantee. Every time I called to check my delivevery status they were beyond rude and unhelpful (when they actually answered and didn’t leave you on hold for over an hour). Finally I get a call that my stuff has a driver and will be delivered. The driver (who was about 16 years old and a little punk) called and texted me at all hours of the night before my delievery saying he couldn’t find my property and when he finally did said he wouldn’t drive his truck down my long drive way. Many, many bigger trucks have gone down my driveway no problem. He demanded I pay him $400 in cash to rent a U-Haul from a company that was about a half mile from my house. When I booked I was told they don’t use any outside drivers and it’s all company related. This kid laughed when I told him that and said they use nothing but outside drivers. Every single one of my boxes was damaged and torn and thrown around. This company is not only a rip off cost wise but they scam you through the entire way to squeak more and more money out of you.

  9. Worst Moving Company Imaginable.

    If you were recently scammed / ripped off by American Eagle Moving or Mr Isaac Zait, owner/operator, I URGE you to file a FORMAL COMPLAINT with the USDOT, and NCCDB.FMSCA.DOT.GOV (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration). I have been in communication with both and the more complaints that are filed, the more likely action will be taken against this fraud of a company.

    The BBB in Arlington Va worked with me on my claim and after 2 months of no response from American Eagle closed the case as "UNRESOLVED" .. A lot of good that did for me. Over $15k of goods damaged and lost, being overcharged by at least $3k, and filing loss forms (sent certified mail with return receipt ) in September, I still haven't heard a single word back from American Eagle. Phone calls, texts, certified mail are all ignored. Something needs to be done about this company and the more complaints filed, the more likely the government will take notice

    Also the DOT has revoked the DOT number that American Eagle was operating under..did the owners cut and run?? Is Bankruptcy a possibility or is this just a criminal act??

    PASS THE WORD FAR AND WIDE. DONT LET ANYONE ELSE GET RIPPED OFF BY THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY.

  10. Scammers and rip off artists. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY.

    This company and their owner and staff are huge rip-offs and scammers. They are crooks, and they operate under multiple names (Nationwide Movers is one). We received our first estimate from Nationwide online, at a reasonable rate for a 3 day turnaround for our youngest daughter's move from VA to North Carolina. When Nationwide's crew showed up (one day late, grungy and at 7pm) they told us that the original estimate of $1,300 was not enough (our fault - ?) and it would now be $2,900. When I questioned this they gave me what I later discovered was a standard scam answer. I told them to leave, and with attitude I was told that I would lose my deposit and they called their supervisor and fed me the same crap. I threw them out, calmed my distraught daughter down and told her I would find another company.
    The next day I found American Eagle (after reading what I now know were fake reviews) and set them up after their estimate of $1500 and a promise to have her furniture delivered in 2 days. The crew showed up 4 hours late and it went downhill from there. The estimate also jumped to $2700 and when speaking to their supervisor was told that the only thing they could do was stay with that estimate or only move what fit in the truck under that number and leave the rest behind. My blood pressure was through the roof on that comment, but my daughter was in tears because of time so I caved. The agreement was to pay a portion up front and the remainder on delivery. I agreed and signed it. I was then told that the final payment would have to be in cash. I asked how they wanted the deposit, check or credit card or cash. They didn't take cards so a check would be fine. I handed them a check after loading and confirmed delivery with the crew and dispatcher for Saturday in NC and they confirmed.
    My daughter went down Friday to start getting ready. My wife and older daughter and I drove down at 5 am on Saturday to be there to help her unpack and set up. We waited and waited. All day, no truck, no calls, no returned messages. Same thing on Sunday, with everyone getting more upset. I sent my wife and my other daughter back to Virginia Sunday night and I stayed behind to find out what was going on. Monday morning at 9 am I reached customer service and they said they would find out what happened and call me back right away. At 12:30 I called again and reached the head of "Customer service" who informed me that my daughter's furniture had been sent to a storage facility in New Jersey. The reason was stated, (very matter of factly) that it was "Standard procedure while waiting for the check to clear and she would get her furniture delivered next week after that happened. I was so upset, and I told them that no one had mentioned that standard procedure. Not the driver or the dispatcher. After further discussion and argument he threatened to hang up and have my phone number blocked and I would never find anything else. I was angry but not disrespectful, so this was just wrong. It went downhill from there.
    My daughter, now all alone in NC had to sleep on the floor with almost none of her clothes and furniture. I went after them with a vengence and got them to agree to tear up the check and pay them the cash when delivered in 4 days. There was an attempt to charge her more money for extra steps which I shut down and there was damage, some extensive. It is now 8 months later and we are still waiting for the agreed payment for damages. They have been reported to the BBB and Department of Transportation (of which they are not licensed). I call every other day with no results, no answers, no nothing. DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS.

  11. Extremely poor moving company.

    Do not do business with this company. They absolutely do not care about their customers. Our belongings were picked up on July 24, 2018 from Virginia. Little did we know we would not see our belongings until August 1, 2018 in central IL. We found out later from the movers that the company took our belongings to New Jersey where it sat in storage all that time. Our many calls to AE were either ignored or we were lied to about what was going on. Our contract stated we would receive our belongings in two weeks after our big move. Instead, it was 5 weeks! This company was not honest and kept us in the dark. They were not transparent about anything.
    In addition, en route from New Jersey to IL the truck was in a big rainstorm. Our belongings arrived drenched. We had wood furniture ruined from water marks, a new queen mattress destroyed, my precious Christmas ornaments and decorations ruined and many more things. The truck driver was aware of the leak and told us that when he reported it to the company, they duct taped it to fix it!! Despite filing a claim and making sure it was received we have still not received reimbursement. Once again, we were promised someone would look into our claim (this was an email from Sasha) but then all communication stopped. I have called and emailed repeatedly to no avail.
    We wish the BBB would follow up on the numerous complaints about the dishonest company and do something about it.

  12. Stay Away!

    This company is a complete scam. Once they pick up your belongs, you are at their mercy. Do some research on this company, the owners, fraud, etc. You will be able to piece the puzzle together. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

    I don't want to write my story like a novel since I agree with any negative comment provided here. I experienced all of them. All of the positive reviews are fake.

    I just need to mention one point: the address of Alexandria is just a mail box, so don't expect anyone will show up there if you want to solve the issue face to face.

  14. Interstate move from Washington DC to Atlanta.

    This company is AWFUL. DO NO, DO NOT use them. It has been over 5 months and they have yet to find several of our articles and continue to give us a run around.

    The FIVE star reviews are FAKE. Look at the responses - they are all canned responses.
    THIS COMPANY IS NOT LICENSED WITH THE DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION. YOU WILL GET SCAMMED.
    We've had our life's possessions stolen by this company. We call the company and they hang up on us. They won't give you their actual location of where their business is - what kind of business is that.
    We live on social security and have had all our possessions stolen. You will REGRET your decision if you use this company.
