  1. Terrible, Stressful Experience.

    My pickup was very late and was not fully loaded until after 2:00 am. I had to loan them flashlights to see what they were doing. They had picked up some helpers somewhere and some of them did not want to stay to finish. Totally uninterested in doing the job. The delivery was a few days late and my household goods were transfered from one trailer to a bobtail truck. They arrived late in the day and did not finish till after midnight. Had over $5000.00 in damage and received only $282.00 in compensation from a so called independent claim company, after waiting 6 months and several unanswered phone calls. Very unprofessional and totally uninterested in satisfying the customer. Would never recommend. .

  2. Dont use this company!!

    The guys that came and packed my house were wonderful, they were on time and got the job down quickly and were honest about things the whole time. All my problems occured with my delivery and then trying to call the Company and talking to Lisa about my missing items. I have items missing from my delivery including my I-mac desktop computer which was in its original box, I called and talked with Lisa several times and she always told me that there was no information on my missing items, she kept saying she would have to talk to the driver and look at his paper work. I had my delivery on 27 Oct and not til the beginning of Dec did they finally get the paperwork from the driver and they told me that my computer was at the warehouse, it made it on the truck per the paperwork but some how it didn't make it to my house and the only answer that Lisa had was did you file a claim. They have horrable customer service they never keep you in the loop, they never call you back when they say they will, and their answer to everything is did you file a claim.  Also Lisa was trying to blame me that my computer got lost because I signed the paperwork and my computer wasn't labeled properly on the inventory sheet. Even if I did do that it, they still lost my boxes during transit regardless of how it was labeled on the inventory sheet. The people who work in the office have poor customer service and they don't try at all to help you find any lost or stolen items, the only answer they give you is file a claim.

  3. Still haven't received my furniture.

    They picked up the furniture October 23 and they just informed me on November 19 that they have no idea when I can expect delivery. It was promised before November 1st. The move was all prepaid upfront. Lisa King asked me if coming all the way back to Houston with a truck and moving it myself was an option. They have already changed the price of the move twice because they said it was a dead end move. I think they are referring to not having another client moving to the area. We paid the extra amount with no complaint because we were told the eta would be by November 1st.

  4. Very Honest Movers.

    I used Best Moving & Storage to move to Texas from my home state. My relative gave me their name, and I called them, and they came to give me an in home estimate. They were very knowledgable people, and gave me great advice. I used their advice, and it saved me great amount of money, and reduced my stress level. On the day of the move, they arrived promptley, and did all the packing and loading efficiently. All my belonging arrived within the time frame that was promised, and all of items arrived without a single scrach or damage. They are certainly very honest and reliable movers. They are definitely a company to be recommended when it comes to moving long distance.

  5. Great Moving Company to California.

    I moved from Texas to California, and I used Best Moving & Storage Inc. of Houston Texas. Their price was great, their service was excellent, and their moving crew was very knowledgeable and professional. All my furniture and boxes arrived to California in time and as promised. Nothing was damaged, and they made me a customer for life. Thanks Gentlemen.

  6. Took the stress out of the moving.

    I have moved several times in my life, but this was the first time I actually hired a moving company to do the moving for me.  I was apprehensive about which company to hire and such, but a friend of mine recommended Best Moving and Storage and told me that they had a good experience with them.  I was pleased with the price they charged me and their level of professionalism was fantastic.  They were very careful with the packing they did and handled all of my stuff with care.  They put me at ease when they came to pick up my things and made the rest of the move go smoothly.  When the time comes to move again, they will be on the top of my list of movers to choose from.

  7. Very Professional.

    When I relocated from Missouri to Texas, and upon a recommendation of a friend, I chose Best Price Moving & Storage. Although, I did my due diligence and shopped and compared for the best deal for moving, I ended coming back to Best Price & Moving, because of their lowest price and very kind and informative sales person. They did an excellent service, and I will use them again if I will relocate again. I highly recommend them.

  8. Amendment to previous post.

    Ray, the owner, did work to recover my furniture which was eventually returned. There was damage to one if the pieces which his company paid to have repaired. It took three months to finally get my furniture but the delivery man was very nice and helpful.

  9. Good move.

    Everything started out great they were on time,and the formen checked off the lists I made with Scott. And said I need additional packing for my bedding,I also needed 3 wardroboxes which they had on the truck. I had to pay for the extra packing, but the blankets were free. And they wrapped my furniture very well. Now he told me it should arrive in about 3-7 days, it came in 5 days so not to bad overall.   Jamie.

  10. Horrible Customer Service. No Integrity.

    Probably the worst moving experience ever. Do not fall for the comments listed here, these are false reviews. They customer service is horrible. They never return fall calls. lied about delivery dates, and have several unethical and possibly illegial provision in their contracts. They even have a line in their contract that says they can tell you whatever date they want for delivery but don't have to keep it. Also, they have tons of hidden charges. Do yourself a favor and pay more elsewhere.   Also, I love how the company takes the time to respond to all the bad reviews posted but never took the time to return any of my dozen phone calls I left them over a 3 week span.

  11. No problems.

    Move went well. Alex the driver was on time and wrapped up all my stuff in blankets. Price went up a few bucks due to some furniture I thought I was going to get rid of before the move but didn't. It took a day longer for my things to reach Texas but I was well informed along the way. Would use again.

  12. Horrible service. Theft of goods.

    No telephone calls from driver before pickup or delivery. Poor professionalism - drivers dirty & poorly dressed. Six pieces of furniture shipped - 3 stolen. No contact from Best Moving '& Storage unless I called and complained multiple times. Refused to answer my calls. Told me to file claim for 60 cents per pound of three stolen pieces. Ray said he would look into it but never contacted me. When I emailed me was told to file claim.

  13. More like the worst moving and storage.

    This move was the worst experience of my life. My move was quoted at $1800 and when they showed up 3 days late to pick up my stuff it was $3200.
    I was promised my stuff would arrive in a week. 26 days later my stuff showed up. During this period I called the company everyday. Most days they didn't answer and would never return my messages. When I was able to speak to them it was just another lie that my stuff was on its way. Turns out my stuff was put in storage for nearly 3 weeks without notifying me. 
    I was relieved when my stuff finally showed up since I had been living off of what fit in a suitcase and an air mattress the entire time I had been waiting. Thank goodness I put my work clothes in my suitcase. When the movers started putting my furniture back together I quickly realized that they had damaged my antique bed. They also lost the brakets to put my vanity together. I've since had to purchase new parts for both the bed and vanity and finish putting them together myself. The company didn't seem concerned at all that my stuff was damaged.
    However, the worst part of the move was that they STOLE from me. The most expensive item on my truck was gone when it got to me. The company made promises to correct the problem but followed through with nothing. They won't even answer my phone calls now. 
    This company has done nothing but make moving across the country by myself an even more stressful experience than it already was. Avoid moving with this company at all costs!

  14. My worst moving experience ever.

    I recently moved from the midwest to the west coast.  It took us 4 days to drive here..the moving van with our stuff still isn't here. It will be over a month with no furniture. Also, we were quoted a price that is "always less than what you will have to pay" and it ended up being quite a bit more.  We were quoted an additional $780 for three items: a china cabinet, a tv stand and a 46" flat screen tv because they were either an unusual size or needed special packaging. needless to say, we ended up leaving all 3 behind and giving them away rather than pay their added expenses for moving them. I am just hoping to get my stuff at this point--no telling what kind of condition it is in. the original company that booked the move told us that our stuff was basically just left at a depot until yesterday and we should receive it in 4-6 days..
    when I called the company, I have yet to actually speak to a person. I keep getting answering machines and leaving a message, which noone ever returns. This is beyond frustrating..worst customer service experience I have ever had.

  15. Smooth move!

    I entered info online for a quote. Scott called from Best and got my inventory and gave me a price of $1099. He was very professional and respectful. My things were picked up on time by Kevin and Lewis. They did a nice job wrapping my things up. They said Scott and I did a good inventory so my price didn't change. They delivered me 2 days later when they said they would. I didn't have anything broken. They did a real good job for me and I really appreciate them. Thanks Scott, Kevin, Lewis and Dianna. I would highly recommend Best Moving.
