  1. Hands down, the best moving company.

I just moved with this company from NJ to Atlanta GA
They came on time the price was exactly as the estimate given prior the moving date and the actually arrive in GA after 3 days
I most definitely will recommend to all my friends and family .

  2. First National Moving and Storage.

Horrible and fradulent experience with them 2 years ago.. broke much of my china and a lot of the furniture the claim never settled. They charged $7000 to move a 27' truck from Greensboro North Carolina to Tampa Florida with our things. Total rip off and total devious maneuvers during the entire process. The FBI has now Investigated them and people are now being indicted. I will be calling the FBI and getting on the list of people trying to get money back. I don't think I'll be seeing much of it! At least the people are finally facing consequences for what they have been doing to customers for years.

  3. Positive Reviews Are Lies.

I had the extreme misfortune of doing business with this lying and deceptive company. The charged me over two times what Donnie Bradley gave as an estimate. I researched this business and saw many positive ads - not many negative ones. I strongly believe these positive ads are extremely false - and made by the company.
This company was the most dishonest and deceptive entity I've ever encountered in my 50 yrs. Not only did they charge me over twice as much as they estimate, they broke and lost/stole household items. They were emotionally and verbally abusive to me and my spouse.
Maria Sanchez, Grace and Donnie Bradley should all be ashamed of themselves for promising and lying to people. They blocked my cell phone and house phone so I couldn't receive my claim made to their insurance providers. Which, they're insurance providers are one in the same - more lies! I would NEVER EVER recommend First National Moving and Storage to anyone. Save yourself the time, heartache and money - deal with anyone else but First National Moving and Storage.

  4. Broken Stuff.

I recently used 1st National Moving company, they moved us from Paducah, KY to El Paso Tx. When our items arrived, almost half of it was broken, scratched or damaged. It cost about 500 more then I was quoted, even tho I had EVERYTHING on my moving list and no extra boxes. They also tried to charge me for moving blankets and to wrap the TVs and mirrors even tho I was told those items was provided by the movers at no cost. My entertainment center was completely smashed, non repairable. When I called they could honestly care less. Sent me a form and said after it was approved I'd get some money back. When you file a claim, you have to have it notarized, as well as use the list they give you with the 'item number'. Since you get the bottom copy and the movers do not push hard, you can't even read it. Also have to submit pictures. I only did basic insurance because I didn't expect a professional moving company to deliver my products completely ruined. Had I went through all the work to get some money back, it wouldn't even of been enough to replace the entertainment center. So it was to much work required for a little amount of money. Please do not use this company, they are terrible.

  5. Breach of Contract.

I submitted a claim with First National Moving and Storage, reported to BBB, will continue writing reviews, and will be taking legal action against First National Moving and Storage for a long list of issues. My claim was submitted on 10/3/2016. Over the last six weeks I've called the company over twenty times leaving messages with customer service, claims, and quality assurance departments but have not been able to reach anyone and haven't received a single call back. My “Binding Quote” was overestimated at just under $10,000 with an accurate inventory but was told the cost went up to over $15,000 half way through movers loading my belongings into their truck. The company did not comply with the contract and didn't deliver my belongings to my house. My belongings were dumped in the next street over from deliver address because I wouldn't pay the company an additional $1,800 plus a large (undisclosed) amount of cash ($40 per hr. with eight people). This is in addition to the $15,000 I was already overcharged when required to prepay at 100% of contract amount that included delivery labor).

    1. The original quote I received was for less than 2,000 cf. but was revised to 2,500 cf. in order to prevent exceeding the "Binding Quote" provided by Chris James with First National Moving and Storage.

    2. Movers showed up on day of pick up with a 2,000 cf. truck and said they had to go rent a U-Hall in order to accommodate all of my belongings.

    3. A photo of the 2,000 cf. truck was taken at pick up and was sent to Chris James showing that it was only partially loaded.

    4. During pick-up the quote was increased to 3,500 cf. by the movers on site.

    5. On the day of delivery the driver informed me that he could not make the turn to drive up my street. This led him to telling me I would have to pay an additional $1,800 to have a smaller truck show up, unload the 53' trailer into the smaller truck, and then deliver to my house. The other option given was to return everything to a warehouse.

    6. Grace, with First National, called me telling me that she had received a call from the driver informing her that the truck couldn't make the turn up my street. She told me she could process my credit card for $1,000 in order to transfer belongings into a smaller truck and deliver to my house. This $1,000 differs from the driver's $1,800 demand.

    7. Driver had additional movers show up once he realized I wasn't having him return my belongings to the warehouse, as if he never intended on delivering to my house.

    8. Driver turned his 53' trailer around one street down from my street which was the same 90 degree turn he would have had to make in order to deliver to my house. About ten different neighbors came out to explain that many of them had 53' trailers deliver to their homes on my street.

    9. Driver instructed me to go to an ATM and take cash out to pay the movers an hourly wage of $40 per hour.

    10. When I asked to see inside of the 53' trailer, it was roughly half full. A 53' trailer "theoretically" holds 3,816 cf., being roughly half full would put my belongings in less than 2,000 cf.

    11. Movers removed my belongings from the 53' trailer into the street and dumped everything (Except for missing items) into someone else's yard about 1/4 mile from my house.

    12. There was another delivery still in the nose of the trailer which would further reduce the cf. that my belongings could have taken up.

    13. The trailer ceiling had clear cf. markers in order to measure space utilized. The ceiling markings clearly show my belongings using less than 2,000 cf.

    14. I had to load all of my belongings out of the street into my pickup truck in order to get everything to my house. After feeding the movers lunch they decided to leave while all of my belongings were in my front yard where my neighbors and I put them after hauling ¼ mile in pickup truck loads. They wouldn't move anything into my house due to me not going to the ATM to pay the additional hourly wage in cash even though the contract of over $15,000 that included labor was prepaid in full prior to scheduling delivery.

    15. I called customer service on Monday afternoon (9/19/2016) after not receiving a response from the message I left on 9/17/16 prior to the unloading. I was told by Tony "At least nobody died". I’m not sure if that was a threat or if people typically die using First National Moving and Storage.

I’ve was given four different phone numbers from multiple First National Moving and Storage employees and can’t seem to get in touch with anyone. The main number has now been changed to a new number on their website and the original number has been disconnected. It’s taken me over a month to unpack my garage (Where I moved everything in) and am just now beginning to realize what is missing. When the movers were dumping my belongings into the street I was told all of my belongings were unloaded. Luckily for me one of the movers seemed to have a conscience and told me I should really take a look at what was behind the large loading blanket that separated each load on the truck. The mover in charge was telling me it wasn’t my belongings and he was done unloading me but I could see a few of my belongings behind the blanket. The movers eventually started to continue unloading what was behind blanket number one until they reached blanket number two. Again the mover in charge told me he was done unloading my belongings and everything else on the truck was for his next stop. Again, I could see items that appeared to be mine but the mover insisted they were not mine. I was told they were finished dumping my belongings into the street and don’t know exactly how much of my belongings were still in the truck. At this point I’m clearly missing multiple power tools as well as a few miscellaneous household items.

  6. Lowball "binding" estimate followed by moving-day price hike.

Low estimate to win the contract, followed by a price hike of over 60% (from $4,682.65 to $7,555.00) on moving day. I have since read that this is a fairly common scam operated by unscrupulous movers.

In addition, at both ends of the move, the crews failed to provide carpet protection, tracked mud, set boxes marked "fragile" upside-down, and handled items carelessly. The crew leader at pickup was dismissive toward my wife and seemed not to speak English well. He hiked the cubic footage not once but twice, ending up (after several hours of work, with darkness approaching) with the suspicious situation that our goods just happened to fill his truck exactly. His attitude at this point is best described as "take it or leave it."

I agreed to the price hike out of desperation, and paid on delivery just in order to get my goods back. Even before delivery, it proved almost impossible to reach anyone at the company by phone, to have any phone message returned, or to get a reply to any email.

I started a claim through the company's process on September 21. According to the USPS clerk at the Post Office, the company provided an incorrect zip code on the address to which they insisted all claims and supporting documentation must be sent.

The claim documents were sent to the same address with the zip code corrected, and according to USPS tracking they were collected on September 29. It is my understanding that by Federal law, the company has 30 days to acknowledge receipt of claims documents. On October 31st I emailed the company reminding them that I had not yet received such an acknowledgement and requesting one by email before close of business that day. No reply has yet been received.

  7. Terrible, Awful Stressful Experience:.

There was so many misnomers given to me by the salesman on the phone I would not know where to begin. I cannot believe this company has received as many positive reviews as it claims based on my experience. These are ruthless heartless people that have no conscious on how they treat people. My wife and I are seniors so money is very important to us. Based upon all conversations with the sales person and the loaders my goods were to take 5-7 days to go 1000 miles Indianapolis to Orlando. We are now in our 16th day and still have no idea when my goods will be delivered. In the meantime my costs for hotel, meals, laundry are more than $1700.00. A total and terrible waste of my good money. The people that run this company do not communicate, they are ruthless, inconsiderate b..t..s

Be aware this company will use their contract to manipulate and screw you, they will hide behind government D.O.T. Regulations that are not meant to support the actions of a company like this. They will inflate the distances to your delivery point so that they can gain more time to deliver. They are not a point to point moving company on intrastate moves. Your goods will be taken to one of their warehouses where your goods will wait for another truck to move them to their final destination. Be sure you have substantial credit limit or cash to support yourselves while you wait and wait for your goods. You have been warned about this unethical company.

  8. Do Not Use!! Horrible!!

From the beginning this has been a nightmare! The movers were very unprofessional and didn't like the way we packed some boxes so they moved the stuff around. We moved from Illinois to Montana. We were told it would only take a week for them to deliver the items- it took 15 days to get our stuff. When they finally did arrive- we were missing 32 boxes! They said that the boxes might be back at the warehouse or possibly delieverd to someone else. I have been trying to get things figured out for almost 2 months now. No phone calls back, no e-mails back, no answers. Gonna be time to get a lawyer involved soon!!1.

  9. Moving items from SC to PA.

Initially my experience seemed positive. Michael "sold me" on the sales pitch by making it seem personal. After the contract was signed and my goods were picked up it became a mess. No return calls, emails etc. when I called the company I was finally told my items were in NC in storage. Couldn't get any one give me a delivery date estimate. After having a major panic attack dispatch checked and gave me the only date I had said from the beginning I would not be available. So, I was charged a $500.00 re delivery fee. WHAT?? Would not take first box off of truck until it was paid. Customer service needs improvement. I will never use this company again nor will I recommend to others.

  10. One of the worst experiences of my life!

First, NONE of the movers cared about my stuff! Expect whatever they quote you to be double by the time you're done. I had several very expensive items so damaged I can no longer use. Several things missing, but no one seems to know where they are. Filing a claim, but I am sure I will not be able to get anyone to answer the phone, or return my calls, which was the case once they got my deposit. The movers that delivered my things complained about things being too heavy. Didn't want to carry items up the steps. My advice, they need to find a less strenuous occupation. Please research companies before you hire anyone. I'm sure the 5 star ratings on this company are fake!

  11. **warning Dont Use There Service**.

    **WARNING DONT USE THERE SERVICE**

I hired this company to transfer my 2 bedroom belonging from West Des Moines IA to North Brunswick NJ.

WORST EXPERINCE EVER---- I really think why I hired them.

This company is a fluke from the very beginning. The sales guy Jim called to book the assignment. Called multiple times to get the contract final, once signed and advance paid I could never reach back.

He claimed they have their own trucks and crew members which is false, they just have a few sales and 2 customer service folks.

The pick was ok done by a local IA person but I had a disaster at delivery.
One Russian guys Alexandra the driver claims he don’t know the company and is just there to deliver the good.

    1. He forced us to take delivery of the good before the available date. Our first available date was Aug 20th we had to take it before as he said on Aug 20th midnight is when he can legally delivery. He literally meant to delivery outside my address at 12 mid night, irrespective of my availability.

    2. Charged for a shuttle where in the big truck could easily come. Cost increased by $700.

    3. Measured the few layer steps inside the house for each room and added charge.

    4. Measured long distance incorrectly and inflated the cost. In total asked me to pay additional USD1000 at delivery.

    5. Pushed the furniture roughly leaving torn, scratched and broken pieces of furniture.

    6. Mishandling of boxes resulted in broken glass ware and other delicate items.

    7. Left the house in mess and throwing the packing material on the street.

    8. Did not brought the tool kit so could re-assemble the furniture. Promised to come back the next day, but no one showed up or returned my calls.

    9. The mattress was all with torn packaging filled with dust and marks all over.

    10. On king size euro top mattress was exchanged with some old queen mattress. No one is ready to take the complaint. I don’t know, will I get my mattress back or not and what should I do with the one I received.

The summary is they left me in my house in a messy condition, stuff lying everywhere, with broken and torn furniture, unassembled furniture and misplaced belonging with empty pockets.

I would not expect this kind of service after paying USD 3850 where original estimate was around USD 2200.

Now even the customer service is not responding to my calls, no reply on emails. Whenever I call it goes to voice mail and same used to happen with the sales guys after signing the contract.

Don’t trust this company with your belongings. They ruined my excitement of moving to a new house.

  12. One star is too much.

I am following up on my original report of this unprofessional company. After they bribed me with an offer of purchase price of the power drill that was stolen, if only I would remove all negative reviews, I declined. It is a matter of principle. Their grossly unprofessional staff and manner is worth revealing for anyone else. And how dare they try to bribe me.

I decided to go forward with their "claim process" which is also a joke. I sent the original claim (before they bribed me) certified mail. Oh I had to calll them to get the city and state of the address because it was not included on the claim form!!

IT was returned undeliverable. I called and told the rep. She said it was the incorrect address and gave me another. I asked why wasn't the form corrected and she had no answer for that.

I sent the claim form and supporting documentation by certified mail again to the "correct address" and to this date (August 2016) I have not received the return receipt.

  13. Would Use Again.

I booked my move with Michael of First National Moving two days before my projected move date because the local moving company I had planned on using had to cancel my move. I scheduled my move on Wednesday, July 27 for a projected pick up date of 7/29 or 7/30. Overall, I was pleased with the company, and I would use this company again. Below are the details of the more positive things and the negative things about my move.

I am filing a claim for some damage done to bigger furniture items. I will update this review to reflect the claims process.

    Positives:

Michael was incredibly helpful in planning my move last minute. He walked me through all the paperwork and even gave me his direct line number to reach him by.

Both of my "lead" movers, Andre and Alex, were exceptional. They communicated clearly in person (both had thick accents, so on the phone was harder), made sure they knew where things were going, and kept me updated. They clearly communicated paperwork issues and answered all my questions.

None of the fragile stuff broke. Despite the rough appearance of the boxes, my more fragile items like glasses and frames were not damaged.

The delivery was quick. Andre scheduled the first delivery date as August 15 (two weeks from the move date), and my things were delivered the 16th.

I paid what I should have paid. My quote increased an appropriate amount given that I had more stuff than on my inventory list. My calculations were almost identical to Andre's, so I didn't feel swindled. Andre even discounted all of my packing materials as an apology for being so late.

Alex and his teammate helped me move the furniture in my room to exactly where I wanted it. They even helped carry a large TV downstairs that I needed moved it of the room.

They kept me up to date on changes in arrival and delivery.

    Negative Issues:

Michael was incredibly helpful and very easy to get in touch with while I was planning the move, but after I signed my paperwork and paid the deposit, I didn't hear back from him when I sent him an e-mail with a final inventory. I had more items than planned and asked him to update my inventory so that I could get the most accurate quote possible. However, I didn't not hear back from him, and the movers showed up on Saturday with my original inventory list.

The loading crew arrived late. The movers were originally supposed to come on a Friday, but contacted me on Thursday to move my delivery to my backup date of Saturday. The movers were supposed to call between 3 and 5 to tell me the delivery time for Saturday. Andre, my mover, called at 6:30 and told me they would arrive between 12 and 3 on Saturday. Saturday at 11 he called again and said that there had been a small accident and they would be late. He has a very thick accent that was difficult to understand on the phone. He rescheduled for 5ish. At 5:30 he called again to reschedule, but I had such a hard time understanding him that after we hung up I texted his number. He responded quickly via text that they would be there at 7:50. They showed up just before 8 and left around 10pm.

While the two "leaders" of the loading and unloading teams were wonderful, the helpers were not always careful. During loading, Andre had to tell one of his helpers several times to be careful after he bumped various furniture in to walls and doorways. One shelf was obviously damaged as Andre's helper dragged it across the floor causing the screws to rip out. On delivery, closer inspection showed that the holes had been stripped and could not just be reinserted or tightened. After that, Andre had his team wrap my bookshelves and they were transported carefully after that. On delivery I chose to help move a few of the bigger, bulkier items as one mover was trying to move and position them himself. After seeing several boxes fall off the dolly from being overloaded, I didn't want to risk my expensive furniture being damaged.

The loading crew used a TON of material to pack my furniture. I packed all my own boxes, so all the shrink wrap and tape used were on packing my furniture. Even the guys who unloaded my stuff commented that "they used too much stuff". This is important to note because each roll of shrink wrap is an additional $30 and tape is $3/roll. They probably used somewhere between 15 and 20 rolls of tape. I could've ended up payed $100 more just in material.

The original truck that my things were loaded on to was not the truck that delivered my things. This meant that they were unloaded and stored at some point, then reloaded and transported atleast once. It was easy to understand why my brand new UHAUL boxes looked so rough when they were delivered. This wasn't made clear to me as their normal practice. Plus, the truck that delivered my things was not a "First National Moving" truck. Instead, it was a "Scorpion Van Lines" truck. I was not made aware that other companies would be involved in moving my stuff.

  14. Great service!

Our family relocated from Colorado to Florida. It was a difficult choice to find a professional and honest company. We have very expensive furniture and I was worried. I knew it was a big risk to use a moving company. I called a few friends and one of them recommend me to call first national. I called them the next day, Grace answered my call. She was very polite and knowledgeable and intelligent, it was a big pleasure to have a conversation with her. I could tell that she was very exoerienced, because she answered all my questions. After out informative conversatio she transferred me to my moving coordinator. Her name was Angela and she expleaned to me every step of the process and gave me piece of mind. I told her that I had very expensive furniture and my biggest concern was packing. She offered me full packing option where they take care of every single item in my house, which worked very well for me because it would have taken me a month to pack all of my belongings. Also I needed storage, Angela gave me 60 days of free, great deal. We went over the inventory and she told me I had a large shipment. But that was not a problem and she would send me professional and skilled people. I called her a few time after and she made me feel comfortable with her answers. She said delivery would take approximate 12 days and that was perfect. On pickup 5 young, strong men arrived to my house at 9oclock. As we discussed prior. They were polite, clean, and very professional. They had all kinds of packing material on the truck. Everything to protect my belongings, blankets, tape, bubble wrap, all kinds of boxes, covers, wardrobes to hang my clothes, fully equipped and with professional uniforms. I asked them to be very careful with my items. They said of course and started working. It was so organized. There leader Paul had superlative experience. They all went to rooms and started working.

I have never seen such a professional approach. It was amazing. Every single item in my home was taken care of. They used alto golf material and everything was properly protected. They even covered my floors as they worked to not damage them. After 20 minutes of them working I was finally relaxed and made coffee for everyone. The guys in the kitchen were outstanding. Wrapping eve2dish with special paper and a bubble wrap pillow at the bottom. He used dish packs which were harder than the normal boxes which was good because alto of my dishes were giving to my by my grandmother. It was important not to break anything. My coffee expressed my mood. It was delicious and I served each guy. They started moving even faster cresting my TV, sculptures, vases, china, everything protected with cardboard. Very professional. They disassembled everything in the proper way and protects it with blankets cardboard bubble wrap and shrink wrap. In the middle of the day I ordered pizza for everyone from a place around the corner I loved. The chief was the owner and I knew they would love the food. They were very thankgul and full of energy. We had some nice conversations about family and there job. They loafed everything like a puzzle on the truck. Having all the heavy stuff on the bottom and leight on top. They finished at 9pm. Nothing was scratched of damaged in the home. They cleaned up everything and left with a smile. First step was over. Dispatch is another good side of the business. There lady Mary is very polite and professional. She kept me updated. Delivery guys arrived to my new home inflorida in 11 days. We had arrived a couple day before and were prepared. They were polite and skilled and took 6 hours to unloaded, assemble, and set up everything. They made sure to cover all my floors again. Finally my new place was set up and we were ready for out new lid! First time I was completely satisfied with a move. Professional and a great company. Thank you!
