  1. Best company!

This company has been a blessing from start to finish. I had a bunch of moving companys calling me and im glad I picked this one. They were so honest and I had to move asap and they were able to get everything set up correctly. The movers showed up the morning of my move and handled my items with care. Ontop of that they were a great group of men. The next week called me to make sure I was ready for my delivery and came two days later. Everything came back the same way it left and I couldn't be happier. I have to say at first I was nervous to have a company moving my things but im glad I did it was a stress free move! Thanks again guys.

  2. What an experience.

Well, I have decided to write a review for this company because they did a great job. I don't normally write reviews but I know that the job they do is not an easy one and I had to say thank you in some way. First my moving coordinator Lauren was great. She walked me through everything. I was worried because I was moving some very precious pieces of furniture and she made me very comfortable. She answered all my questions before, during and after my move. She never ignored me which I probably would have done if I was her getting so many calls from me. I was nervous, but she made me feel better. My price did go up but Vladimir my foreman explained to me the reason and I agreed with him because I did have more boxes and a few pieces of furniture that I wanted to sell but just didn't get a chance to, so they had to go with me. He packed my special pieces very well and once he was loaded and ready to drive away I was comfortable with my choice. I called a few days later to check on the delivery. It was a bit delayed but they kept me in the loop and I was ok with waiting, as long as I got my stuff in the same condition it left me in. I am happy to say that I did. The delivery team was also very professional. I wish Vladimir was doing the delivery but I was moving from Texas to Florida. I am sure he had other loads to grab. But, this team did great. If I ever have to move again (which I hope I wont have to) I will call Lauren again and use First National. If any of my friends or family are moving I will make sure to give them Laurens name and number. I recommend this company 100%.

  3. Please beware of this company!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. SMOKING IN HOUSE, FRAUDULENT CHARGES, HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I have an open claim with this company on making fraudulent charges, however they have not contacted me since I filed the claim 26 May, 2016.

Where to start with this, I was doing a military move from WV to NC. Unfortunately I was not in WV at the time to arrange the move, I was away for some training that month and left my wife to manage it. She began the booking with her sales rep, Tommy, who went through an inventory check list with her to determine the cu ft of space we would take up. He estimated our move to take up 500 cu ft of space in the truck and sent us the estimate cost (1650.00) We put the deposit down, and were told all we need was $617 cash on pick up and delivery. She asked what should she do if we have to add any additional items. She was told as long as it didn't take more space of a pool table size it is shouldn't change from the estimate, but to call him to get an updated list. She made a change and tried contacting him but we could no longer get a hold of him.

The day of the move, they load the truck.. to my wife's surprise she catches one of the movers SMOKING A CIGARETTE in my master bedroom. Next, once they had everything on the truck, they decided that we had 250 cu ft more space taken up, and charged us $3.30/ add'l cu ft. So now we are at "750 cu ft space". We also saw there was now a fuel charge, stair charge, packing material charge, which okay fine, but don't just throw that in outside the estimate you quoted. Now our original quote of 1650 turned into 3156. When my wife questioned this, the movers responded with "why are you crying like a baby"

Now is when I come into the mix now that training is over. I tell them, okay I need weight receipts of the truck empty and full to turn in to get reimbursed by the military, they said "Not a problem". They get to my apartment with only a full ticket, not empty, I had to follow the truck 99 miles (One way) to get the empty weight ticket. Next, they open the truck and explain to me the way the cu ft is measured. They have lines in the truck, each space in between = 100 cu ft. I was disbelieved when they took everything out of the truck and my stuff was in 500 cu ft of space. I'll add that my stuff was in the middle of the semi truck with other people's stuff on both sides leaning into my space I was charged for, and they had stuff on the floor of my space. So they charged me 750 cu ft when I took 500 cu ft of space, over-charging $825.00 over just the space taken. I have heard NOTHING from the company since my claim was submitted. I CALLED them to see where it was and all they said was we received it and they would get back to me in a few business days (2 weeks ago). I even have video and pictures of the movers saying 500 cu ft of space was taken on their truck on delivery.

I still await the company's response to my claim, if it takes much longer, legal action will be taken, and BBB will be notified.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope this helps both you in your search, and this company in bettering their service to their customers.

  6. It's like a hit a jackpot.

Finding a good, reliable company is not easy these days. I'm super happy my choice landed on these guys. I was happily surprised when I saw all my stuff in exactly the same condition as it was before. These movers did a great job, packing and moving all my equipment through narrow walls and staircases of my Appartment. I'm not sure how others do business but dealing with them was pure pleasure. No stress, no bad attitude, just easy communication and the most important the result. I would gladly recommend them to anyone, trust me you won't miss on this one. Pleasure to do business with. A huge thank you from me.

  7. Amazing.

It was amazing. They made unbelievable job. I moved a lot of times before and I didn't see more professional movers as those guys. They packed everything really fast and carefully. Thanks so much for made my move easily!

  8. Professional packing.

I had to move a bunch of antique furniture, old and very fragile. All I cared about was to safely transport them to Maryland.
I chose to go with them as they promised to provide a premium packing, because I didn't know how to protect all of my antique. They used blankets, plastic wrap, and boxes to crate the stuff that I wanted to. I loved the way they did the job, that I even tipped them at the end.
It took them about 4 hrs to wrap and get everything in the truck. Fast and professional I would say..
The delivery was 3 weeks later with a big trailer. Once all was taken off the trailer we went over all furniture and checked everything. I didn't find any issues at all. And that was my main concern: my furniture had to be transported and delivered without being broken, damaged or anything else done to it. They did respect their promise to safely deliver all my goods and I am satisfied.

  9. My moving experience:).

  10. Excellent experiance.

Greetings. As we all know, moving is a big headache and a huge stress in our life, I experienced it myself not once with several companies, but this time, honestly to say, I was really surprised.. Everything went really easy and fast.. Everything promised, was acomplished in a professional way. Time, quality, payment, everything! It went so smoothly, I didn't even notice how I was already sleeping in my bed with all my stuff in my house in florida! Great job guys!

  11. Best moving experience.

This was by far the best moving experience we have had. The guys were 100% professional and helpful. I never saw such talented, professional, courteous and innovative mover. They were on top of their work and they handled the pressure with great confidence. This was a last minute planned type of move due to my work situation and I am so happy first national was able to assist us on such short notice. I have no words to thank them and praise them. All I can do is to recommend them and that exactly what I am doing now. For $2300 my house was packed within hours and on the road from New Jersey to Boston. Worth every penny. No headaches, no worries and no broken belongings. Will be definitely using first national moving and storage if we move again. Thanks guys!!

  12. First National Moving&Storage.

Hi, there. Want to share my expressions regarding moving with First National Moving&Storage. I moved this spring from Michigan to Texas. Choosing of a right company is key step to successful and desirable result. So I have acted very carefully in that issue and contacted a lot of moving companies.
When I called to First National Moving&Storage, I was pleasantly wondered by level of service they provided. I have got detailed and clear answers on all of my questions, pick up was effected in time and without any misunderstandings, I was satisfied with time and quality of my stuff at final destination. Everything was packed fast and carefully and I have no doubts about safety of my stuff.
So in a short, if you need to move somewhere, you definitely have to chose these guys.

  13. Smooth and Fast. Way to go guys !!

Honestly a great job by the First National Team. Been always nervous moving back and forth but never experienced such a smooth and fast move. Received a call one day prior to my move with a confirmation arrival time then on a move day another call an hour away. All these small details makes you feel important and confident. I was amazed by how professional these guys were, packing and loading and staking my stuff. Will definitely recommend this company to my friends. Want also to say a huge thank you to Grace who helped me throughout this move, she made this move much easier and smooth. First National a company worth trust.

  14. My first moving exerience.

Hello everybody! Because of the job situation , I had to move from Silver Spring, MD to San Diego, CA. It was my first long distance move. Since , I didn't know much about moving , I started to look for moving companies. To get a right candidate , I went online and started to read reviews and to get general idea about moving. What I have found was, that there is no single moving company that doesn't have bad reviews. Even major ones , had bad reviews. Well, most people pack their stuff themsleves. And if the things were packed unproperly, ofcourse it is going to break. I decided not to risk and wanted to get a full packing service.
So , I have received 4 different quotes , from different companies. From May Flower, United Van Lines, North American Van Lines and First National moving and Storage. First National gave me lower rate, so I went with them.
On the day of the move the truck showed up at 9 am, as I was told. Three guys. At first, when I found that helpers don't speak English well, I was a bit concerned. But when I saw how this guys pack and carry out boxes, it completely blew my mind. They were very efficient. The head of the crew, was polite, well spoken and gave directions to helpers well. He also taught me some tricks to pack and stock fragile things in a right way.
They finished the job in 5 hours. And when the job was done , they cleaned up after themsleves ( used rollls of tape, boxes etc).
Two weeks later, I have received my stuff. Nothing was broken. Once again I was happy that I ordered full pack service.
Thank you First National! Keep it up!!

  15. Need to shut down such fraudulent companies.

This is the worst ever company I have ever dealt with in the United States. Stay away from this company. Will be reporting this company to Business Bureau.
Following are the issues that I had with this company:
    1. The delivery date went beyond the promised date and the backup date.
It was supposed to be delivered on the 28th of May with the backup date being the 30th of May.
I ended up getting the stuff yesterday that is the 7th June which was ridiculous. I ended up staying in hotels and friends place
    2. Secondly, the person who came to pickup at Germantown was absolutely a disgusting person. He had no manners and was using abusive language all over. He charged me from the initial quote of 1900 to ~3300. He also refused to take my vacuum cleaner at the end which I ended up leaving there since I was flying out the next day and couldn't carry it with me.
He also threatened that he will drive away with my stuff if I did not pay him what he asked for.
There is a marketing guy called Mark - he is the most horrible salesmen ever. He said over the phone that he was going to add my extra 2 beds, chairs and no stairs charge to the invoice. But on the day of pickup he lied saying he never said so. He should be reported and shown to jail for making fraudulent sales calls. Lastly upon delivery of my stuff, I found that so may items were damaged. Although the guy who delivered was good, he mentioned to me that the goods were damaged when he received the consignment. I have attached the pictures for your reference. My dining chair which was part of my expensive dining set had been broken. my glassware, lamp set, plastic rack ,china cabinet back have all been damaged. This is totally unacceptable.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
