  2. Moving from Hawaii.

Overall service was not bad. Staff were helpful in getting stuffs wrapped and boxed. Delivery was smooth.

    Thumb up:
The processes of pickup and drop-off went smoothly. No broken items; electronics were intact despite not having bubble wraps or Styrofoams. I am not sure how you did it but items were kept well although some cardboard boxes were deformed when delivered.

    Communication--
The Customer Service would respond to my questions and gave updates whenever possible.

    Thumb down:
    Administration.
before pickup (first call): no in-house inspection was done so the actual cost went MORE than estimate.

on the pickup day: somehow they tasked the same team of movers over few residences consecutively, I.e., assigning the same team (3 movers) for two hours at one house, the same guys move to next for two hours. They ended up unable to finish it on time, thus delaying those after that house. I was scheduled between 1300-1500 time slot; they didn't arrive until 1748 and then more movers showed up, ending up having NINE movers showing up at my house, completing packing and fees by 2000.

Scheduling delivery: The office NEVER contacted me to schedule delivery day. They did all scheduling without talking to me. First time, just the deliveryman calling me telling me when he would be coming (the day right after he called me). I had to call back the office for rescheduling and ended up costing me extra for local storage. Second time, I was only asked if I'd be available between dates 13th to 23rd; they did the same again, only difference this time, the office would call (but at the last hour of their work week) to tell me the date/time of delivery. However, the time was moved on the last minute (from morning to afternoon, notified on the day BEFORE delivery).
Feedback: you don't know what kind of work I do, I may not be able to find that day off work!! I don't know why you would do such a thing. Always coordinate with client. Last minute changes can be avoided if you made plans ahead.

  3. Bunch of thieves!!

Do not do business! I had my things in storage and while I got behind, once I paid everything off and had it delivered we found items were missing. Our TV was replaced with large picture frames, one including a drawing with names on it. The tub labeled electronics was missing an Xbox and controllers. Yet because we checked off items as they were taken off the truck, (we were told to check off that the boxes were there and not damaged, never given the time to go through anything while the truck driver was still there) this company refuses to compensate for items their employees stole from us. L.

  4. Stolen skateboard decks.

I got a 5'x10'x 10'h. To make sure everything would fit in the space The moving company put if all in the truck in Oside. I had paid 60% down.  $1610.00. I only had them pack three boxes  The rest was already boxed. My fiancé and I and my neighbor were there. They boxed My SONY TV in one box, my green elephant table in another box and a big basket in in another tall box so we could wrap the skateboard decks and put them in the tall box. I had saved out clean rugs to wrap my skate board Decks.  We wrapped the boards And put them and we put them in the basket in the box. One of the packers commented on the decks. I didn't think for a minute they would steal stuff.  It was box number 47. Misc wardrobe box on my receipt. I guess I should have had them tag each one.

  5. Stole Everything I Owned! Then Threatened me And Double Charged Me!!

HERCULES MOVING SYSTEMS STOLE EVERYTHING I OWNED AND THEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO DOUBLE CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD.

There is a reason their prices are so much cheaper than any other moving company - they are not a real company, they are crooks and thugs who steal your things!
I had everything I owned picked up on the 11th (I don't want to say the month because I am scared they will come after me again) for a cross country move from LA to Chicago.  It was picked up with the condition that it would be delivered to me on the 4th of the next month.  I should have known immediately that they were dishonest and criminals when I got a call hours after my things were picked up.  I was informed of an additional charge for the movers going up the stairs (even though my apt. building had a freight elevator).   I didn't want to argue at that time because they had everything I owned and I hoped to get it back.

Then, close to the delivery date, I called to confirm the time/date because I needed to tell my new apt. building.  I began getting calls from telling me that they didn't have my things and didn't know where they were.  Eventually they located them and said they had not left the downtown warehouse and were still in Los Angeles! They had been taken from my apt. in LA and placed in storage by these "movers"! I asked where my things actually were because I would go get them from this "storage facility" and was told they were then on a truck.  Right.
After hours of calls with different people and most of them refusing to give their names, I got a call from the man who said that he had my things.  However, he demanded $1,000 CASH IF I WANTED MY THINGS, OTHERWISE HE WOULD DUMP THEM SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE THE CITY.  I said I'd pay the additional $1,000 and 3 Mexicans showed up in a tiny U-Haul with maybe 5 boxes of wet, opened, re-taped crap.

The driver, Sami Sume (323) 973-2653, said that my boxes (ALL OF MY CLOTHING, MY BED, MY DESK, EVERYTHING I OWNED!!)  had been misplaced and that he didn't know where it was.

After reporting everything of value was stolen and reporting Hercules to Visa,  I began to receive threatening phone calls from anonymous numbers.  I filed a police report, but because it was an inter-state move and the actual location of the theft was unknown (I had no idea where my stuff was stolen from because like a moron, I trusted the company) there was nothing that could be done.

4 months later, I spoke to Rose Bautista and she said that they are still looking for the missing items which she now concedes were delivered to a customer in Missouri.

ENDED UP PAYING THEM OVER $3,000 FOR THEM TO STEAL EVERYTHING I OWNED.

  6. Hercules Long distance Move - AWFUL!

Worst moving experience ever.  Mover did not explain timeframe for delivery; only upon pickup was it clearly explained that move could take up to 3 weeks for delivery, at which time it was too late to make a change.  Nonetheless, the actual delivery occurred 6 weeks after pickup.  Delivery was incomplete as a large furniture item was missing.  It was soon located at the origin, however this item took an additional 8 weeks for delivery.  While the mover did not acknowledge, I believe the delay was because they were waiting for a complementary load to deliver the missing item (rather than expediting delivery due to their mistake).   In addition to the unacceptable delays, throughout the process I called frequently to get status updates.  At least half the time I could not get through.  When someone answered I got the standard "dispatch is working on it" which seemed to be code for "we are waiting for another load and have no regard for delivery in the committed timeframe".  Other times the customer service staff was rude and unprofessional. If a customer has a full truckload, I am sure that Hercules will deliver in a reasonable timeframe.  If not, then you better hope another load that exactly fills up a truck with your load is going to the same place.  Otherwise you will wait, possibly a long time.

  7. Very bad service.

We moved whole  2BHK apartment from CA to WA with reasonable fixed price.
    Frick me out most:
500$ - 700$ redelivery charges since they delivered early and we were not ready with our new apartment yet. We cleared this on phone before moving forward with them and they promised us that they will store our items free for 1 month before making delivery or if it reaches early. But lack of honesty.
Rude - Extremely polite before you finalize your move with them. After they load your stuff into their moving truck, they will no more be polite to you.
Lack of responsiblity and no follow up procedure on lost items after delivery, so consider urself lucky if you have all your boxes. We lost dining table worth $600 and they asked us to fill some form. No follow up, it has been 6 months and now I am fedup of calling them again and again asking for same claim process update.
PLEASE learn to value your customers.
     .

  8. Nightmare.

The entire service was very poor from the beginning until we received our items.1) We got overcharged the quote was different, the movers measure the whole move and according with Gustavo (mover) calculation I have to pay 350 more of my estimate or give to them 200 tip. I was thinking of saving money so I tip them in check that I can show proof of that.Pick up date Saturday June 28.2) I did not hear form the company for about 2 weeks. I was calling to the company almost every day and no answer zero customer service. people very uneducated. An email was sent on July 11 indicating the delivering date from  07/20/14 to 07/25/143) Friday july 18 I received I call from IONI he told me about delivering date. I told him that the max day for delv would be 24 because nobody will be at home, or that I can wait for next delivery time in 1 month. 4) Ioni called tuesday 22 promising that the guys will at our apartment early in the morning next day. Movers showed up at noon, My husband who is a Dr could not wait so he went to work and came back to open the door (noon) he told them he will be back by 5pm to check every thing. Well these people decided to literally dump our belongs and not assemble the furniture like the dinning table, bed, tread miller, even some item were left with pad, trash every where, mattress still in boxes. And I am not counting that I have not open all the boxes.  Our bed useless, dining table useless missing parts, missing boxes, item left with pads. This company is a scam and it should be penalize for the poor quality service.

  9. Worst experience.

Hercules moving system has a great customer service that will call you and follow up with you almost every day to earn your business, but their customer service during the move and afterward is horrible.  The driver claimed that he had to do a long distance carry to carry my furniture to my apartment and charged me $500 on the spot or else he wouldn't take my furniture.  He claimed that the distance was 200 ft at first, then 250 ft, then 350 ft, then 425 ft.  I google mapped and also used a distance app on my phone and the distance is only 150 ft of which 75 ft was supposed to be free.  I felt ripped off by this company and getting my money back is not easy at all and customer service is not good at all, they kept the delivery portion of the receipt and claimed that the driver is en-route.  All lame excuses.  My furniture also came with a lot of dents, scratches, and chips.  Not a very happy customer.

  10. Worse Moving Company.

Please any o e out there think twice before using this company, don't use it at all because this moving company is not proffessional, their Customer Service, Crew and Drivers have no education, have no Honesty, Communication, or Consideration for you or your family, they will steal from your boxes your personal iteam and information. Besides all this they will damege what ever they're moving, this company should be out of business or service to the public.. They're nothing but a buch of peaople stealing from customers!!

  11. Moving from West coast to East coast.

I had the most traumatic experience with this company. The person who deliever my furniture and etc was very rude and disrespectful to me. He refuse to come into my apartment complex to deliver my things because he did not want to ruin his truck. He cursed me out and refuse to make the delivery I had to pay additional money and rent a Penske truck so that he can unload my things into that truck to make the deliever. The drivet refused to unload my things his boss had to beg him and promise to pay him to unload my things. I was in tears this guy had no respect for me at all. I called in tears for the sales manager mike leaving voice mails stating what wad going on and how vam they have someone like this representing his company and I asked mike to call me back. Never revieved a call from mike. I had to call mike. Mike pretended to listen like he really was concerned and promised that he will escalate my incident and compensation..this incident took place January 26th have yet to hear from mike or anyone from this company have left several voicemails for Mike and no return calls or anything..

  12. Worst Ever.

I have moved a number of times in my life, and this was the worst and most traumatic of all experiences.  Frankly, I think the positive reviews posted here are by shills.  I had them store a number if items for 4 years.  Their business practices are quirky at best.  When I decided to move my items out of storage, they trumped up "preparation" charges since I (obviously) hadn't chosen them for the move.  Their customer service is abysmal. They return neither calls nor emails.  When the movers I chose showed up, they had been given the wrong address.  When the new movers found the right address, Hercules personnel bullied and abused them. The foreman told me later that he was astonished at the abuse and lack of professionalism.  Then, the crowner, some of my very valuable antiques were damaged during storage, and several never showed up upon offload.  Horrible experience.  And they don't seem to care a bit about their bad reputation.

  13. Poor service. Lost furniture part.

I just moved from San Francisco downtown to Pasadena, CA in December through the Hercules Moving Systems.  I chose this company because it was affordable and they were able to move my belongings at the last moment of my search.  The company works as groups of partnership of dispatchers, shippers, movers, allocators and etc, divide its profits among these groups and charge extras for extra services such as wrapping TV, elevator charges and 18 wheeler truck loading agreement fee (will talk about this below).I gave one star to this company although it started just fine, but it quickly became the worst experience.  They were 2 hours late when they showed up (around 6PM!), but I was nice to the movers, and even gave $60 tip to three guys who were nice and detail. However, when I arrived in Pasadena, CA, I had to wait for 2 weeks to receive my furniture and things.  It arrived 2 days later from that 2 weeks period, and the dispatching team's manager and I had an intense conversation about this because he wants me to wait even longer, and this could of been the after Christmas or during my holiday vacation period.  The guy wanted me to pay him $300 extra to bring in their 18 wheeler truck, which is ridiculous for barely over 325 sq feet amount of furniture that I have.  The reason is of course to delay my things for another few days until they are done with other tasks, so I knew my list was least important to them.  As I threaten to sue them (after I read some review here, I saw another reviewer actually sued them), they were bit more flexible, however, I had to wait 2 extra days. The day of arrival, they came in on time, but you know what?  They were delaying my things because there was another new tenants in our apartment complex who were moving in through their service at the same time & the same day!  They should of told me this & I would of compromise them instead of arguing them.OK, that's fine.  Whatever.. right?  When they finally brought in everything, it wasn't over.  They were missing a leg of my night stand, and one guy smirked at me and told me three legs can support the table!  [EDIT]?  Is this a joke? .

  14. Avoid at all costs1.

Terrible company, borders on fraud.! They gave us an initial quote which we declined. They then provided a "better" offer. Rather than send the container we agreed on, the sent a moving van, so we could not track how much space we used. Lo and behold, they claimed we used more than contracted and charged us the initial amount, which was obviously the plan all along. They do not return phone calls or emails once they have your business. They did not communicate when our furniture would arrive and delivered it the very last day permissible by law. Loaders on both ends were great, but once Hercules makes the sale, this company could care less about you. We are disputing a charge made and they will not respond. I should also note that they did not pick up our furniture on the dates agreed upon, causing a great deal of stress since we had sold our house and had to vacate. If I knew then what I know now, I would not consider using this company.

  15. As bad as it gets.

I am still waiting for my stuff. I am a University Professor, moving to NY to start a new job. I told my sales person my circumstances: I can't be there for the move when I teach classes because students pay a lot of money to attend my classes. I also stated that I don't have anyone to oversee the move with me, so I needed a company with some flexibility. I was told that this was not a problem, and given examples of much more complicated situations that this company has handled.  I was told " we will work with you", so I hired them.  Well, since then, nothing has happened as planned.  Pick up was late and there was no communication on their end to let me know- I found out because I was persistent in my calling and finally someone told me.Prior to that, I was told that everything was all set, the drivers were on their way, and to be patient. When I got my teaching schedule, I emailed it to people at this company more than three times, left messages more than three times, and talked to someone directly about it twice. I did this because I had a bad feeling about this.  I was told numerous times that "we will put a note on your file".  Though, when I asked about what notes were on my file in subsequent calls, they could provide me no information.  Currently, I am still waiting for my stuff. I was told that they will "try" to accommodate me, but "nothing is guaranteed".  This is very different than what the salesperson told me. They are also reserving the right to re-start the delivery window because I replied instead of replying all to an email they sent me.  Even though the information they were asking for I had previously provided through email, direct communication via the phone, and voice mails left at the salesperson's extension and the dispatcher's voicemail. I have most of this documented through 1) a communication log that I was advised to do by my lawyer, 2) my cell phone records, and 3) email contact from the company.  The next time that something that someone from that company said would happen does happen, will be the first time. You would think they would forward my email if it was that important, or perhaps tell me something like "we will email you and if you don't reply everything changes, even if we are emialing your for information you have already provided us numerous times."  Jack, my salesperson, has not replied to any of my emails. Last I talked to him, which was three weeks ago, he said hold on and I was on hold for over 30 minutes.  No reply to my emails, no reply to subsequent emails.  .
