  1. Worst Company Ever!

It started off bad, we were forced to sign inventory log BEFORE they would start to load truck. We had all things packed and ready to go, plane tickets for the next morning. We could not afford to let the truck leave without taking our things, so we signed the document before hand. I was told our move would not be subcontracted, so imagine my surprise when A-Z movers show up at our door 2 weeks later. 95% of our boxes were damaged: ripped, punctured, smashed. We had multiple broken items. AGAIN, we had to sign inventory sheet BEFORE they would unload truck. It was not an option. Sign, or we drive away and charge you for storage. The man who was in charged of marking off inventory sheet was not an employee of A-Z and didn't know what he was doing. We had to stop them from leaving 3 times, telling them, this is not all of our stuff!! The two items we had Hercules dismantle(bed frame and office desk) for the move, they lost the hardware. So we were left with pieces and an empty promise that Hercules would send out a handy man to repair. I knew that was a lie as soon as the driver told me that. When I pushed for a number or name to contact the driver became irritated. The "crew" that unloaded the truck, two young men, I discovered were hired from a local ready to work company and had NO MOVING experience what so ever. In fact, they were told by their company not to assemble anything because they were not trained.(We didn't have the hardware anyway!)The lead, driver, got so upset when we questioned him on what his name was, he left without leaving any documents with us. Nothing. When I called Jerry, who sold us the move, he would not comment. When I asked to speak with his manager, he told me that was not possible. He said it was against company policy to give out Supervisors names or phone numbers..What? Totally unprofessional, misleading and BULLIES! DO NOT USE! Our first claim has been DENIED, because we signed the Inventory log. Onward to the appeal process.

  2. I highly recommend having professional movers.

Moving sucks - packing, unpacking, the whole bit. Hercules Moving Systems made the experience so much easier - they are worth every penny and then some. Yuval arrived at my door and he was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He gave me tips on what should be in boxes and what to bundle to save time for the movers = meaning that he was saving me money. He was so helpful and informative (even telling me about the yelp deal) that I was instantly blown away by his professionalism and this company. I called my husband and told him my experience and we immediately decided this was the company for us. My next call was to the other two moving companies we had coming for an estimate to cancel, then I called Yuval to say we would love to do business with him. The movers did not disappoint - they came, packed, and moved with an efficiency and speed that makes me wonder why they don't have capes? They were polite and respectful, sociable, and gracious for the protein bars and cold water bottles. (How are people so rude to not offer these things to people LITERALLY doing the heavy lifting for your move?) They met us at our new place the next day with the same efficiency and speed at UNPACKING and had us ready to settle in our new place in a matter of hours. It was such a treat for me, as I'm someone who usually gathers friends and family for a move and having it take an entire weekend just to get our stuff to a new place. Not even mentioning the unpacking and the rest of it. I highly recommend having professional movers everytime you move, b/c they know how to pack and how to move it quickly - the time you save on that alone is worth the money you spend. And if you want GOOD people who know what they're doing for a reasonable price, then Hercules Moving Systems is who you want.  .

  3. Late and no communication.

The starting process and pick up of items went well.  After they picked up they stored the items for 3 weeks before even getting them on a truck.  When I called to find out delivery time/day I would have to call 3 times before getting return calls.  Due to the delivery being late I was given a credit which was not passed on to the driver and when the delivery was made in Tenn. the office wasn't open so he wanted full payment.  Driver was rude & disrespectful.  Many calls went back and forth to get the correct amount and he wanted to charge for having to wait.  This company needs to work on customer service.  Good news was every thing was delivered.

  4. I wanted to recommend Hercules Moving.

Great Service! I wanted to recommend Hercules Moving for the outstanding job they did with my move.  I have made several residence moves in the past, not always with good results but Hercules exceeded my expectations. The positive experience started with the return call from their account rep, Mike, who was very professional and asked all the right questions. The quoted price was very fair and, as it turned out, an incredible deal. The moving team was very professional and focused on making sure that my possessions and property were well protected. They even had to carry furniture and appliances up a double flight of stairs and never hit the walls or banisters. Even when they finished, there was no damage at all. I would highly recommend them for any move contemplated and will use them again in the future.

  5. Hard working, super efficient. Suprisingly professional movers.

I came across these guys through searching online. I live in a two bedroom apartment in la on the second floor and was moving to a two level townhouse in san jose. The guys arrived a few minutes early than the scheduled time and got to work right away. I showed them all the furniture and boxes that I needed moved and what to be left for me to take in my car. All three were very kind and courteous. They were working so hard and so early in the morning I offered to go to the local Starbucks to get them what they wanted which they tpolitely ook my offer on. In the few minutes I was gone they had already cleared out my living room and most of one of my bedrooms. In total it took them four hours to load and unload everything. I was impressed even with driving time and traffic along 405 on the way to my new place. The best part was opening all my kitchen boxes I had marked fragile and not finding one broken plate or glass. I will be recommending Hercules moving systems to all of my friends and family.

  6. I would definitely use them again.

I was referred by a co-worker to Hercules Moving that has used him in the past. The customer service was great. Very easy to talk to and they clarify all my issues. The movers confirmed why Hercules was the right choice. Adolfo and his crew were great.  Very polite, quick and eager to help.  I would definitely use them again.

  7. Hercules moving, they are the right choice.

My family and I moved with Hercules Moving and we had a pretty good experience with them.  Hercules Moving the sales rep was very upfront in regards to the pricing. On the moving date, they sent me a truly professional crew to pick up my items, and as promised, there were no increases on the prices and no hidden fees. Now, I received delivery, and my belongings came in very good condition. I recommend  Hercules moving, they are the right choice for great service at a great price.

  8. I can go ahead and recommend Hercules Movers.

Recently movewith Hercules Movers from Los Angeles, CA-NY. Overall, good experience, theprice from Drew was fair and it fit my budget. On the moving date, the crewthat came was very efficient, worked hard, and knew what they were doing. Thecustomer service department, always responded my phone calls and gave meanswers in regards to the status of my items. Now that my items are here in NewYork, and arrived in one piece, I can go ahead and recommend Hercules Movers.

  9. We happy with everything.

We used Hercules Moving for a long distance move and had a very good experience with them. Dana always contacted me whenever I called or email. The movers were very professional. They wrap all our goods (especially our white sofa, mattress and 65" Plasma) and over all this company made us very happy with everything. We will move back from Washington to Oregon next year, and definitely we will use them again.

  10. Lied to, cheated, and taken advantage of.

    1. Driver was from Brazil and spoke in broken English, he only understood us when he got his way 2. He showed up six hours late and then charged us more because it took him into the night to load the truck. He should have been on time in the first place. 3. He upped the price on my wife three times, pulling her a side without me around to have her initial the increases. At ten at night she would have signed any thing 4. He add $4,000 for a smaller truck to unload the larger one into, but didn't add it as a line item, so when he decided he was late for his next delivery, he still charged us for the $4,000 and ended up unloading us in a local storage so we had to hire some locals ourselves to move from storage to the house. 5.They scratched my speakers, broke pictures, tables, and they didn't put a single bed, or furniture back together like was promised.  We could have really used that help because both my husband and I or over sixty years old. 6. We have bought and sold twelve house in the past and this was the worst move we have ever gone through.  Because of our house's quick closing they were the only company that showed up to bid, and that is because the BBB gives them a BIG FAT 'F' rating.
They are located at 2345 S. Santa Fe Ave in Los Angeles, so please do not use them.  We complained to the office them selves and got NO WHERE, even though right on the contract the driver wrote negotiate with office concerning shuttle. Jasmine at the office gave us our first quote of $5,000.00, with a shuttle and we ended up at $15,000 without a shuttle, and additional charges for the storage unit, and the seconded set of movers.  One of the local movers felt so bad for us he came back with two friends on his own time and finished the move at a discounted price.

  11. World's worst company.

This company’s service on my recent move from Hawaii to Florida was, to say the least, atrocious. First of all, the estimated charge they gave me by email was $5,200. My wife and I did all the packing ourselves. Their movers blanketed the furniture and boxed a few large items such as our mattress and box spring. The actual cost that was presented after the truck was loaded was $9,975. We had no choice but to accept it since our escrow was closing in 2 days and we were leaving. Obviously, I should have done my homework beforehand because I have subsequently found out that this type of deception is a common practice for this company.
Be that as it may, I would have opted to just forgo the bad judgment on my part and their questionable business practices if they had not lost some of our items during the move. Among those missing were ALL of our priceless family photos and mementos from 46 years of marriage. Included in those were some documents such as my college diploma and master’s degree certificate and pictures from my wife’s and my childhood. Also unacceptable was the 47 days it took to receive our shipment here in Florida (July 18 to September 3). This was 6 days over the maximum time they said it would take and much longer than they advertise on their website. Our possessions went from Hawaii to California by ship and obviously sat in Los Angeles for several weeks before they decided to truck them to Florida. We contacted them several times during that period, and they said they did not know when they would be loaded and sent. They were waiting for other shipments going that way.
The day after we finally did receive our delivery, I contacted their customer service department (the first of several times) regarding the missing boxes. I got the usual “brush-off” promises to look for them, but after almost two months, no one had gotten back to me. They did tell me that if they could not be found, I could file a claim and I would be reimbursed. I asked them how I could put a price on a lifetime of family photos and memorabilia. The only answer I got was the clause in the contract that relegates them to paying 60 cents per pound for damaged or missing items. Swell! If I have 20 pounds of photos I get a grand total of $12. I filed a formal complaint with the U.S. Dept of Transportation. In their response letter they stated they would forward my complaint to Hercules and urge them to contact me. Of course, that never happened.
I wrote a letter to company officials, and that was never responded to. I also contacted two attorneys, and neither one was optimistic about ever collecting anything from Hercules.
One aspect that works against ever finding my possessions is that with this company, the shipment is loaded, unloaded, and reloaded several times in this distance of move. It is obvious to me that, being faced with misplaced or unidentified items, in all probability they dump them or steal them. This company’s lack of concern regarding our family treasures is deplorable and, to us, completely unforgiveable. I strongly implore you to NOT use Hercules Moving Systems for your move.

  12. Totally dishonest company.

I was e-mailed an estimate of cost for move by Andrey for a move from Arlington, VA to DC from Hercules Movers(which also goes under other names), 18343 Lost Knife Circle, Montgomery Village, MD. It was one room of furniture. Estimate according to e-mail should have been approximately $675.00. Movers escalated amount of time on contract and supplies used. Would not take furniture off the truck unless I signed contract prior to filling out.I was told management required me signing contract or they would take furniture back to their warehouse. Furniture was hostage. I was forced to sign but had moving man write on a separate sheet of paper exact time delivery took which was 90 minutes plus one hour traveling time (not the 5 hours they charged me for one way,not to mention the inflated time they charged for original pick-up) and sign sheet which he did. On e-mail,pick-up date, delivery date, discount of 10%, estimated amount of time anticipated were listed. Driver called office from apartment and spoke to office for 60 minutes and added time to bill. I called Andrey after this occurred and he told me he was only dispatcher, yet he was the person who sent me estimate. Spoke to bookkeeper(manager) who told me they would review and get back to me next day. Never got back to me and was told when I called back there was no one there by his name.
This was the most UNETHICAL UNSCRUPULOUS company I have ever dealt with.
    NEVER USE THEM!!

  13. Hercules movers stole my goods.

I contracted with Hercules Moving systems to move my belongings from Seattle to Florida. I expected (and it did happen) that they will try to extract more money then the original (Binding (HA) ) contract and that there will be undue hassle on the delivery side (they demanded cash or cashier's check at the delivery, they were late by a 2 days etc) but what really bothered me was that a very nice and brand new Armani winter jacket worth over $1000 in retail was stolen from my wardrobe box.

It will be virtually impossible for anyone to account for every single item in the packed boxes. I noticed some breakage and re-tapping of the boxes at delivery and thought it normal from bad handling, but upon opening the boxes found items missing.

I caution anyone doing business with these people that they are NOT trustworthy and in fact not only demage (they lost the feet on my sofas) but actully WILL steal your belogings.

  14. Horrible Company.

This company was dishonest with me from the beginning. The quote I was given was almost $400 less than what I was charged at pickup. At pickup I was charged ridiculous charges like extra stair fees (I was told the first flight of stairs was free by the person doing the estimate, but at pickup was informed that a flight of stairs is only 7 steps. Since my staircase was a normal size at 14 steps, I was charged 2 flights of stairs). I was also told that to get my stuff on the day I wanted it, they had to pick up two weeks in advance. Then on my requested delivery date I called the company wondering where my stuff was. I was told that my two weeks delivery time started from THAT day, not the day they picked up (so why would I get rid of my stuff two weeks prior)?! So on the day I thought my stuff would be delivered it was still in a warehouse and hadn't even left. Every time after that I called to see where my stuff was no one could tell me, and I was told to call back the next day. They ended up having my stuff for 3.5 weeks. Each time I called and spoke to someone I felt lied to and none of their "promises" to get my stuff to me came true. Stay away from using this company- it made the entire moving process extremely stressful.

  15. Stay away.

Not only are they rude and unprofessional, they lie about quotes and they returned my boxed items with roaches in them. I have a new born, I was appalled. After contacting them about the roaches, they said there was nothing they could do, and to leave a message in their complaint department. Oh by the way, they never showed up on the day of my delivery, I drove all the way from LA to Sacamento in the middle of the night so I could make the date they gave me, but they never showed up and couldn't even give a courtesy call to let me know they weren't coming. Also, Lydia, the dispatch girl - very rude. Do not deal with her if you can avoid it. I'm in the middle of a lawsuit with them. STAY AWAY.
