  1. Fraudulent Liars.

Original price quote was $1,674 for a one bedroom apartment with 286 cu ft. Price actually charged at time of pick up on June 30th was $1,675 based on 300 cu. ft.   $150 in parking materials (even though it says they are free on the form), for a total of $1,825. July 3rd I received a call from Lupe stated the foreman "was confused" and "made a mistake" and they were sending me an "updated" invoice reflecting 450 cu. ft. and a new total bill of $2,299.88.

After calls back and forth for a week with no resolve, I was told Lupe no longer worked there and got no clarification on the updated charges. When I called back again last week, Lupe answered the phone!! I also got put though to a company called Major League Van Lines. When I asked about this, the customer service rep told me National is a BROKER contrary to the lies the sales rep Justin was telling me about National being a "family owned, non-broker company."

My first day for available delivery was July 13th. I was told at first that my items would be delivered Aug. 4-5th (22 days after my first available). No truck. I was then told I could expect the driver August 7-8th. No truck arrived. As of August 10th, I still don't have my stuff and I have no confirmation of when the truck will arrive. They have been in possession of my stuff for 45 days, and are 29 days past my "first available for delivery date."

    *UPDATE*

I received a nasty phone call from "Stan" the owner, STANISLAV SKRIBNIK. Today he claimed that he will be sending me an "updated invoice" for $800 that would need to be paid in cash upon delivery of my items. My binding Bill of Lading contract claims that I owe $469. If that's not extortion, I don't know what is.

This company is a sham. Also doing business in other states under different names to run from bad reviews and the state of WA (under the name Liberty Relocation) denying them a business license because of FRAUD!!

  2. Worst Moving Company !!

I would give minus 5 rating to them if I could !!   Both the NATIONAL MOVING GROUP and the LIBERTY RELOCATIONS are CHEATERS, LIARS, FRAUD, THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANIES ON THE PLANET!   PLEASE NEVER FALL PREY TO THEM! NEVER EVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM!!  I swear to the God, if you do business with them, you’ll have the worst nightmare and most horrifying time of your lifetime!!   Please read further if you want to hear my story.   I recently moved from STL, MO to Redmond, WA. I signed up a contract with Brad from National Moving Group and they in turn hired "Liberty Relocation" (US DOT:2205690  MC:765351) to deliver my household stuff.   After 3 weeks of misery, innumerable calls, follow ups and horrifying experience, finally they delivered my stuff (5 Big items were missing and 1 Big item got damaged).  I am not counting the small items which got distorted.   Immediately after, I gave my credit card details and the deal got signed, I could see that I was trapped. Every single day and at every single step, I and my family were treated like a “HELD HOSTAGE”.  They keep on bringing HIDDEN COSTs to your surprise and for everything they point to some hidden clause on the paper which you would have never cared for.   As per the deal, I had to pay $1875 for household stuff and an additional $1200 for the car. They forced me to pay over $2300 for household stuff instead of $1875. Car transfer was not that horrifying experience, so not including that part of the story. After dozens of calls, I was asked to deliver the car 5 miles away from my home and yes, initially they demanded an additional $100 for a Saturday delivery but later on after a few calls/request, they agreed to deliver it for $1200.   On the day of household item Delivery, the truck driver (Rame Masarwe) started illogical altercations and demanded $1000 instead of the due amount $650. When I agreed to give $1000 (ALL CASH), he said "Give me money in hand, then only I'll open the truck". He was the most unprofessional guy I have ever met. He held me a hostage and took undue advantage of my situation. He was very shrewd and cunning guy and his face and his smile were vividly telling about that.   The community manager had to call 911 to handle him.   So, instead of $1875, I paid over $2300 and wasted so much of my time and energy calling National Moving Group and Liberty Relocation for my own stuff and got the worst and the most unprofessional service possible!   Also, just wanted to mention that the driver (Name was ARI) who came to pick up my stuff in STL was a JERK too and he also got $110 extra from me. The total amount $770 was given to him all in CASH. That time, I had no idea what I’d be going through over next 3 weeks.

  3. A wonderful company to move with.

I hired Liberty Relocation for the packing and moving services during I was moving to New Mexico from California. I decided to go with them because they offered me the best price and scheduled the move exactly when I preferred. Things were looking good at the beginning and kept on going till the end. Their crew did an awesome job packing and loading my stuff. There were many fragile items and delicate stuff but nothing was damaged or broken or lost during the process and they took less than the quoted time to make the delivery at the other end. The final price was slightly over the estimated amount but I am still very happy with the level of service and commitment. Definitely a very good company.

  4. Very Impressed.

I've moved three times in the past years, most of the time with different companies but I just had the best move on the last week with Liberty Relocation. They gave us a very accurate estimate over the phone and helped us plan our move. I must say, we were extremely pleased with their service, very fast, friendly and efficient and very professional company which I wouldn't hesitate to use again and highly recommend to everybody! And yeah one more thing, did didn’t screw up anything!!

  5. If You Value Your Things, Don't Use Them!

Alliance Moving Services are brokers (which we didn't know initially) who charged us $690 via credit card & a balance of $2,200 for our move from CA to TX. After finding out they are brokers, Kyler Rieloff assured me that they only use reputable companies, and hired Liberty Relocation for the job. I told Kyle that we wanted our things on July 5th but he said that it will take 4 to 10 days for our things to arrive so pack a few items. I told him it was imperative that we get our things since we had a newborn baby!
Latasha from the company called & said they would arrive on 7/3/14 at 8:00 a.m. & it will take 3 to 4 hours, so I scheduled for the utilities to be shut off at 2 p.m. and made hotel reservations for Arizona that evening. They arrived in a Penske truck at 6 p.m., and did not finish the move until well after 2 a.m.! By the way, the main guy named Nir brought along two other guys who he seemed to pick up from Home Depot along with that truck! Needless to say we had to make other hotel arrangements which also caused us to move into our new TX place a day late.
We waited an ENTIRE 31 days for our things to arrive! I read numerous reviews on the company which caused me to have a nightmare - literally! We were able to borrow an air mattress but baby's are at a higher risk of SIDS when they don't sleep in their own beds! I could not believe this company could be so cold knowing an infant was in the house & didn't care he didn't have anything! Of course calling didn't make a difference. Latasha claimed she put a "rush" on it then transfered me to Andrea who claimed the same but this confused me because Latasha has a Washington area code and Andrea a Colorado one, plus Andrea's voicemail says, "All Service Movers." Anyway, Alex the truck driver arrived late Sunday evening with no help, so he hired my husband & paid him $60 for 2 1/2 hours & my son worked those hours for free! I thought that was pretty cheap since we paid him over $1200 upfront (which he demanded to keep the postal money order receipts in fear we would put a stop payment on it), but Alex said that he only pays the guys who stand in front of Home Depot $12 per hour/$60 max!
Alex had us sign a receipt up front claiming our things appeared to be in good condition but this was before he unloaded! He said it was the only receipt we would get but he would go over lost/stolen/damaged items which he didn't! Alex took off with a mattress still outdoors & everything didn't get assembled! But like the other complaints, we had lost/stolen & damaged items:
We believe my husband's hand weights were stolen because they were loosely carried on the truck. We had two bookcases; one small & large. We were given the small one but not the large; however, we were given the shelves to the big one & not the small! Our Entertainment Center in EXCELLENT condition was mutilated! Alex & my husband took that to the trash ben. And both sets of bedroom furniture plus the baby's bed got nicked/scraped on all corners! Lastly, because they kept our things so long, we had to throw out all meds/vitamins due to the extreme heat in their warehouse. This was determined by all of our decorative candles which melted!
My goal is to get both companies shut down! And whoever license these companies need to be sued themselves! Liberty Relocation shouldn't be allowed to do buisness based on their HORRIFIC complaints & reviews! I will also write my local congress representative because this needs to STOP! We're out of about $1,600 which EXCLUDES the stress & inconvenience this put on our family!!

  6. Just hoping our stuff gets to us ok!!

This review is about our experience so far which does not include delivery yet- based on what we have seen up to this point, all we can hope for is that our stuff reaches us ok. The foreman/driver, Simon Jill ( that's what he claimed his full name was), was extremely unprofessional, rude, and pulled off the classic bait and switch. At 10:30pm, when one truck was loaded up, he told us we had to pay more for the remaining stuff or they could leave it behind or unload the first truck as well. He was loud, belligerant and downright dangerous when we refused, whcih forced us to complete the remainder oft he transaction with the police present. Do not believe the estimator! You can count on paying double of the estimate with this company. More to come on the remainder of our experience, as we will soon figure out their customer service levels and delivery condition of the items. We are also scared about what this driver, Simon, could do to our precious cargo, many of which are irreplaceable.

  7. Poorly Run Company.

Let me preface this review with the fact that we hired movers for the FIRST TIME on this move. And knew nothing better than to look online and get some quotes. Several months before our move across the country, we put out a few requests for free quotes and immediately Liberty Relocation was one of the companies to call. I spoke with Patrick. He was very friendly and a great salesman. So much that I found myself feeling fully convinced that their company would take great care of our move. I also felt good about being "local" out of Washington. The price was one of the better prices I had found, so I thought this company was IT. We ended up paying nearly double in the end.. (Now, after the fact, other movers have told us that there is NO way a 4-bedroom home would be quoted that low, and without having seen exactly how much you have. Most moving companies come to your home to get a realistic quote).Fast-forward several months later. I had major anxiety about moving our family of SIX across the country and just wanted to DOUBLE CHECK that everything was to-plan. I would email Liberty and they would eventually email back with a "yes". Or not respond at all. I got online and looked at reviews and got SCARED OUT OF MIND. There were TERRIBLE reviews in the last few weeks, but I hadn't seen anything negative when I booked. I hurried and called Patrick to CANCEL my move and get my money back. I had already paid about $500. He convinced me that those reviews were false and other companies trying to bring their company down. I had some doubts, but believed him. Two days before our move, a woman from Liberty called to confirm that the movers would come "Sunday between 12-2". Sunday morning came and we rushed to take apart our beds, wash our sheets, drapes, and shower curtains. The entire house was entirely packed up. We had our kids farmed out to friends as we expected movers for the afternoon. Alas, 2pm came and went (the last hour they said they'd come). WITH NO WORD.We called Liberty, emailed them, etc. BUT TO NO AVAIL. Finally, I found Patrick (the salesman)'s phone number. I called him. He said, "Oh they'll get there. Don't worry about it.". Okay..easier said than done.I had sold my home and the new homeowners were moving in the next day. The carpet cleaner had to come, the cleaners, etc. Finally Patrick stopped receiving our calls because he had NO ANSWERS. There was NO CONTACT FROM ANYONE. Dead-end lines or voicemails. Not knowing IF we would even HAVE movers the next day, we checked into the hotel nearby (which I guess we wasted money on since we DID have a house but no beds set up). We spent the entire night not sleeping, but instead researching ideas on how the heck we could pack up and move our entire house the next day.. I booked a UHAUL to pick up in case Liberty still never showed. The next day came. We finally got a hold of someone at 9am. They said someone would be there between 10-12. Again, with four small children we waited. Trying to keep everyone happy. Movers didn't come till 3pm. With little to no communication. If they had said 10-12, how did it become 3pm? What realistic timelines are these? Now, the only positive thing about this ENTIRE MOVE was the "SUBS", or moving companies that Liberty hired to move our stuff. Sidenote: Liberty does FALSE ADVERTISING in saying they are NOT A BROKER. They ARE. And they are NOT endorsed by the BBB. But say they are. The "subs", the moving company "All Service Movers" came and they were friendly. They took 6 hours to pack up our stuff very carefully. They did a great job. They have nothing to do with Liberty. ;) However, because of the late start time, our NEW HOME OWNERS had to start moving in as well. It was ridiculously embarassing and such an emotional drain! We finally sent the movers off. We actually pulled our TV, documents, and computer as we were worried we wouldn't see them again.. It was so emotionally wearing. From not knowing at all IF they would come at all, and WHEN, and to entertain and FUND a family of SIX, including two grandparents there to help was DRAINING. MOVING SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD. I would have loved a phone call or someone saying "sorry", or even a "don't worry they will be there tomorrow". No customer service. NOTHING. Kevin did call a few weeks later after we had called over and over to complain. I know the company was SO sick of us. He is the "moving manager". He heard our complaints and did take a little money off because of the unplanned hotel stay we had to book. On the delivery end, we had July 17th as the date to have our stuff delivered to Nashville (from Seattle). The contract says it can be any day within a 20 day window. So I figured I should plan for it being the worse-case scenario. Because that's normal with them.. The movers came a week after our planned delivery date. Happily surprised it wasn't later.Again, the communication was SO poor. Kevin would respond to an email a few days later with vague statements like, "your truck hasn't been assigned yet". The guy ACTUALLY driving the truck (a driver NOT with Liberty, but just assigned to drive the moving truck) was very nice and called the day before he delivered. He showed up at 5:30pm (a few hours after he said). He couldn't lift anything because he was injured, but had his co-driver and two guys he had found from CraigsList to help. So three guys total to move our 4-bedroom home. My husband did a TON of the moving, including myself. It was getting late and we just wanted to be done. They did a fine job and were nice. Next year when we move, there is NO WAY I WOULD EVER USE LIBERTY AGAIN. The price you put on SANITY during an already stressful move is PRICELESS. I would pay ANY price to not put my family through that stress again. If they want to keep customers, they need to run their company better by being honest about exactly what their company is (a broker), how much things will be, realistic about their timelines, and they need to pick up the phone to call when they are running late, and to pick up the phone when the customer calls. Simple.

  8. Absolutely Horrible Dishonest Movers!!

My mother moved from San Diego, California to Missouri last year in July. When her furniture and household items were delivered, there was visible damage to many of her antique furniture, broken legs on tables, deep gouges on the tables, mirror broken off a vanity, with severe damage to the drawers on the vanity, her sewing machine was broken along with the sewing maching table, missing granite coffee table top (but the base was delivered), a frame that held a certificate of appreciation in it was stolen, the certificate was taken out of the frame and left in the box (at least they left that, I guess because it had her name on it), custom seat cushions to her rattan chairs were missing, one lamp was broken, another one was stolen. This has been a horrible moving experience for my mother who is over 80 years old. We have moved many times to/from Japan and never had any problems with theft or irresponsible breakage of furniture. I would advise anyone considering a move to NEVER use this company. On top of all of these problems, they don't return phone calls and half the time do not answer their phones, but have a machine telling you to leave a message and someone will return your call, but I guess that's a good way to screen the calls, so they don't have to deal with the justifiably irate customers. I will be reporting them to the BBB and hopefully they will be investigated by the DOT for their dishonest, corrupt business practices.

  9. Looking for justice.

Has anybody contacted the news stations about this obviously corrupt company? If so I would love to get in on that.

They lost/stole 7 out of my 30 boxes and damaged several items of furniture. Nicole promised that they would compensate me for more than the standard compensation, because "this was the worst delivery in the history of our company." Of course after this I could not get a hold of Nicole, she was always on another call and she never called back despite the many messages I left for her.

The delivery driver tried to leave with some items of mine and left me some bed frames that were not mine. When I called him to come back he asked if he could deliver it the next time he was in the area. Who knows when that would have been. I told him no and I want it now and he was very upset that he had to turn around.

I have been fighting this for almost a year and a half. They have offered me $168 for my stuff. They lost/stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff and priceless wedding photo albums. I would rather continue to give them bad press than accept such an insulting offer. Anyone that would like to join me in shutting these corrupt individuals down please let me know.

  10. Criminal Activity.

I signed up with this company to handle my move from San Francisco to Tennessee in April 2013. My belongings never showed up at my house. Miraculously, the DOT located my (and others' belongings) in New Jersey, but I didn't get my belongings until March 2014, eleven months after Liberty picked them up. For those eleven months I lived in an empty house with a few basic items that I was forced to buy to replace the things that had disappeared. When I retrieved my stuff from New Jersey, it was at my own expense, including travel and labor costs, and unfortunately about 40% of my stuff was missing or destroyed. About 80% of my stuff had black mold growing on it.   I've had to spend many thousands of dollars to replace my items and to retrieve my stuff from Jersey eleven months after Liberty picked it up from me in California. In addition, I paid Liberty $3,000 up front when I hired them. I never received an apology or refund from them. I attempted to contact them many times, but nobody returns any phone calls. Nicole did contact me one time after I previously filed a BBB complaint last fall, but presumably she did in effort for me to rescind my complaint. She was successful in her goal, as I did remove my complaint at the time. I did so in response to her guarantee that they would refund me my costs for the move and replacement items. I emailed Nicole an itemized PDF with receipts and never heard back. I called her a few times but her voicemail box was "full" and not accepting new voicemails. Sadly, my contact with her was that one sole time in which they promised to work with me. I can only presume they never had any intention to refund the money like they said they would.    I came to find, months after the fact, that Liberty had not in fact handled my move at all. I was shocked to learn they had brokered me out to a moving company called Virgin Van Lines, owned and operated by a man named Danny Shoval. The reason this was so surprising is because, when I booked Liberty for my move, I was told by a salesperson named Kevin (first name only) that Liberty was not a broker and handled all their moves themselves. Kevin explained this was their business practice and ensured my stuff would be in good hands. I even have a copy of an email asserting "We are not brokers!" in red bold font (which I'm planning to use in court for evidence - more on that in a second). So you can imagine it was quite ironic to find they did just the opposite of that.   The man they brokered me to (Danny Shoval) is an infamous criminal as per a Google search of his name. He has opened and had shut down three moving companies for various criminal activity over the years. How he is not in jail baffles me. I feel violated that I never gave consent for Liberty to use him. Had I known Virgin Van Lines would be handling my move, I would not have given consent. A simple Google search turns up more than anyone can stomach on that business.   Here's the kicker: because Liberty Relocation brokered me out, they violated a federal law punishable by a fine up to $25,000, according to the Dept of Transportation's Ted Kushner and Lawrence Hawthorne (which whom I've communicated). This underscores the severity of their actions. In addition, they've committed "gross negligence and mishandling" of my belongings. As I mentioned above, my stuff was in horrible condition - broken, smashed, and rotting with black mold (with lots of big furniture items missing entirely) once I located my bundle in Jersey City.   I am pursuing civil litigation in the very near future, as I have retained a lawyer who is confident I am in the right, on many various accounts. Unfortunately, we mailed a demand letter to Liberty Relocation in April 2014 in hopes of settling without the need for court. The demand letter went ignored, just as phone calls and emails have gone ignored. So we have no choice but to file in court. If Liberty Relocation would like to contact me to reimburse me the more than $10,000 I am owed for all my expenses caused by their negligence, mishandling, and other crimes, I would be happy to communicate with them. However, I am doubtful at this point that any verbal guarantees made by them will be followed through on. Until I see the money, it's all just empty words. It's these very types of gross crimes that are the reason we have courts and judges.

  11. Whole Move Was a Jacked-up Mess.

I have moved a few times, and this has been the worst mover experience..by FAR!  Below is a litany of issues: 1. We paid almost $600 above the original bid, which I even tried to pad with an additional 200 cubic feet above what Patrick recommended.  If I had known Liberty's bids were so screwed up, I would have just done PODS and saved $1k.  From what I read of reviews related to Liberty Relocation, this is a common issue for them. 2.  Liberty cannot collect money to save their lives.  I had to hound Liberty to take my payment.  To make things worse, I had to pay an additional $100 because your company didn't communicate the need to pay cash at the time of pickup, and has no ability to collect credit/debit payments.     3.  Due to the late delivery, we had to spend an extra $100 per day to keep the temporary housing solution, until we had furniture in the new place..double rent for 3 days.  4.  I had to burn a PTO day to await delivery, but nobody ever called to let me know the delivery was late.  I had to try to call 5 times to get ahold of someone at the main office, who didn't know much. 5.  When the delivery finally showed up, they damaged other shipments trying to get my stuff out of the over-packed van.  They broke someone's stereo, and other fragile personal items. 6.  Liberty delivered my dining room table legs and chairs, but did not deliver the table top.  They cannot locate in their factory, which is odd since we were the first delivery.  To date, I am out approximately $1,100 in additional cost, due to Liberty's negligence and ineffective operational management.    I have used several moving companies in the past, and this is BY FAR the worst experience I have ever had.

  12. VERY BAD!! Don't use this company!!

This has been one of the worst experience's I have encountered in my professional life! We have moved a lot and never had a company treat us or my stuff this bad..under bid, had to pay cash at pickup (which they did not tell us until they were already loaded) our stuff was supposed to delivered on a date given 3wks ahead of time and was told no problem and didn't show up till 3 days later..on delivery the truck was packed with others stuff and they were literally throwing it out of truck and could hear things breaking (thankful it was not my stuff) had three guys working in one load one was sick, the other was working his butt off.. The man in charge didn't want to pay him at the end of the night cash.. Cops were called.. Was a disaster never ever use them!! We have turned them into the BBB and they have 10days to respond! Oh and they lost our stuff and can't seem to find it!

  13. BEWARE! Felony theft, damaged goods and no response from company.

I should first start out by saying that this company has continued to state they are BBB rated A, when in fact they are not even accredited.  They have stated this in messages left for me and it even stated it on their website until recently.  I made an initial agreement with Liberty Relocation for a set amount of items.  When they came and packed and moved my items they increased the amount I owed by over $1,000.  They then told me that I needed to sign that they picked up my items but I could discuss price at a later date.  They lied as I had now signed a new contract without them telling me.  I tried multiple times to contact management, and they never called me back.  The day before my things were to be delivered I desperately tried to contact someone to speak to about this, but again all the management was gone for the day and they could not help me.  On the day of my move they were supposed to be here at 9 am and I explained that I had a job interview in the afternoon at 2 pm and that they needed to be here before then.  They agreed.  On the day of the delivery I did not hear from them.  I finally called at 10:30 and they stated they would not be there until; after 12.  I explained I had a job interview and could not have them deliver then but they stated they had to and I had no choice.  When my items finally arrived all of the furniture they packed was damaged or was missing parts.  Every single box was completely mangled.  This was enough of a disaster.  However, what is the most disturbing is that this moving company opened and went through my boxes, found a box of checks buried in my kitchen supplies, stole 2 checks and wrote one out for $750 and cashed it.  The check number was directly linked to the checks that I had packed.  The check was cashed a week before my items were delivered.  Liberty Relocation was in possession of my items for 2 weeks before the check was cashed and for a week following.  They were the only ones who had access to this box and my checks.  I notified my bank and a police report was filed.  I have attempted to contact Liberty Relocation about this, but have continued to not get any calls back.  I have attempted to contact Bobby who was the salesman I originally spoke with who organized my move.  He originally told me he would have the owner call me back within a few moments and to stay by my phone.  He never called.  I have tried multiple times to contact Bobby via phone and text, but he continues to not respond.  I have tried calling customer service but all they tell me is that someone will call me back later in the day.  This happens daily and I have never had anyone call me back.

  14. Horrible.

They were terrible.  They told us they wouldn't move a piece of our furniture until we demanded it.  They damaged both the house we moved into and out of. We got a second load 6 months later and it wasn't even our stuff.  Our stuff is gone- ladders, lawn mower, pictures, and more.  Their "insurance"  is non existant as our claim has never been paid. Customer serice is horrendous.  This company is a sham.

  15. Poor Service.

I really wished I would have listened to all of the negative comments about this company and saved myself a lot of grief.  In addition to charging me an extra $500 before they would deliver my goods on the other end, they delivered one of my boxes to another address and I have been calling daily to try and get that box and get a different story from them every day as to when I might expect that.  They do not answer any of my emails regarding this delivery.  The sales person made a lot of promises to get me to book with this company and then when the movers showed up, there were a lot of discrepancies.  Now when I try to call the salesman, his number is disconnected.  I should have gone with my gut feeling and not used them. .
