  1. Excellent moving company

    Over all it was a nice job. I really appreciate the hard work and the professionalism given to us by the movers from Metropolitan. If I ever move again I definitely know what moving company I am going to get again and request the same movers. It was the best moving experience ever. I was afraid of moving this time as we’ve got 3 kids and lots of stuff, all arrived safe and sound. Absolutely Recommended.

    We spoke with Janice when booking our mover, she was very friendly and knowledgeable of what would happen during the moving day. We decided to hire Metropolitan Movers and everyone from Janice to the movers and the manager they were super friendly and answered our questions leaving us with a peace of mind they they knew what they were doing. On the day of a move everything got packed up and hauled out as expected. We were worried some fragile items wouldn’t make it through the move, but it turned out to be just fine. Literally no damage. I'd go with them again if I ever moved.

  3. Amazing moving experience!

    Called Metropolitan Movers for an onsite estimate and they provided a bit of a higher rate, but my money was well spent! I am finally in my new home and can’t wait to unpack all my stuff. Thank you guys, you did a great job. Highly recommended. Great experience! They actually cared about our stuff and made sure not to damage our new home. I recommend Metropolitan Movers service to all looking for a reputable moving company and not to worry about the few $$ differences, it is well worth it!

  4. Worst move- damaged more than 50% of pieces

    Would have been better off burning all my stuff and use the money I saved moving towards new stuff as repairing all the damages they caused is more than their value. Despite them being insured, movers confirming the damage done with photos, they would only rectify with a $100 dollar credit and a 'dIY leather repair kit they mailed to me months later. STAY AWAY

    Broke my treadmill, leather sectional, dressers, night stand, chest, and many more!

    Keep saying they will send someone to repair...its been more than 4 months and no repair efforts.

    Disgusting!

  5. Dishonest & unethical

    I have a current complaint in with the BBB. PLEASE check the company background before hiring this franchise. Oleg, Anar & Mary are the company employees I dealt with through my complaint. They were charged to move a partially furnished townhouse, no living room & disassembled dining room. Between several calls throughout the day seeking help for 2 movers they sent who were unfortunately too inexperienced for the job & didn’t pack the truck right, throwing my belongings all over to leaving me stranded late at night with part of my furniture left outside mid November! They didn’t assemble the beds for us to sleep on as promised. To add insult to injury when I was at the worst of exhaustion after almost 16 hours of moving, yes! You read that right! Almost 16 hours to move a partially furnished townhouse! feeding the movers meals & coffee breaks as well as tipping them & hearing them tell me over & over that this company does these horrible things all the time to their customers! I had a mind to refuse payment & would only agree to settle after I could review everything in the coming days. The movers called a manager named Anar who at the top of his lungs verbally abused me using disgusting language! These people are shameful. Their response to my complaint on the BBB was to continue to blame me for the bad move. Oleg writes in his BBB response that I am looking to somehow get away with something. They will do everything to twist the truth. Oleg sent me a communication via email confirming the poor service & they will use my feedback to learn & better train in the future. This company thinks they can make idiots out of customers. I have documented each interaction. Text messages, photos & emails. Oleg refused to provide me with their commercial insurance. He alone acted as the insurance & refused my damage claim. He then tried to convince me to pay more as that would be the only way they could review a claim. As I said they look to treat clients as idiots & twist the truth. Please see the BBB reviews. The BBB has a confirmation on Metropolitan movers from 2018 that they are using a non compliant agreement with customers that they continue to distribute. I will continue to put these posts out there! If it saves anyone from going through what I did and what others are saying then we have done the right thing! I will not stop & take matters further to go public & display the shameful documented interactions with this franchise!

    From the estimate to the move, this was by far the best & easiest move we’ve had! Professional, careful and reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend to others! ?

  7. Horrible company( moving day dec 9)

    I will not use this company ever again. 1 of the movers clearly did not want to be there. About 1 hour of the time he was in the truck not sure what he was doing. The reason why I hired movers was to do all the heavy lifting but at one point me and my brother in law were moving all the heavy furniture out of our condo. When we get to the new home the same thing my brother in law and myself we’re moving lots of the furniture out of there truck and moving my mattress upstairs because one of the movers couldn’t lift it. My wife called and complained but the person on the other end clearly did not care. If possible I would leave a -5 star.

    Very dissatisfied with this company!

    Unprofessional crew and manager! Very rude!

    Very rough with our belongings! Damage to the walls in the house! Kicking boxes dropping boxes.

    Provided feedback to the manager before move was completed- the crew then started to take their time! Ended up moving boxes ourselves!

    The crew was constantly smoking- our new place smelled like smoke!

    They left their garbage on the drive way of our old place.

    Just over all disgusted with the lack of professionalism from this company!

    When I booked Metropolitan movers I provided a summary of the parking and layout of my building. They assured me it would be fine, and take two movers. On the day-of the team arrived late, then said they would not do the move with less than 5 movers. I said that would be fine, but they had left. I called the line, but got sent to voicemail, no one ever got back to me.

  10. HORRIBLE

    WARNING!! Do not use this company!!

    Here's my experience... They charge 99$/hr, 120$ for their truck including gas mileage and insurance. On November 20th I hired this company to assist me and my wife on our move as were in our early 70s and are not able to do it ourselves and didn't have much help. They had damaged my TV during the move and said they would deal with this through their insurance as we discussed prior to the move. Big joke; their insurance covers 60¢ a pound.. They informed me my 60 inch Samsung 4k smart TV was worth only $27 (paid over $800 only a year ago) though said they were doing ME a favor and would give me 100$ out of good faith. That is what they considered an "amicable solution". Remind you, it took weeks of emails and phone calls until they finally responded which was customer service, NOT a manager after I requested to speak to one multiple times. That doesn't seem very amicable to me. I would advise anyone and everyone to NOT use this company as they do not care about you or your belongings. I am very unimpressed as to how unprofessional this company is.. If I could give no stars I would have.

    Need experienced movers for any type of relocation? I hired Metropolitan Movers for this purpose and never regretted my decision. Helpers are well-trained in private and corporate relocation services, they’ve got the necessary equipment and packing tools so you needn’t worry about it.In short, they are absolute leaders in Toronto. Thank you for such easy and quick move!

  12. Fair pricing and efficient movers

    Track the discounts and special offers at the Metropolitan Movers website - it can save you a decent sum of money. My relocation fell on Black Friday, so I was offered a package of services at a lower sum. It could be excellent support if you are in a tight situation.

  13. Unique items transportation

    Transporting unique items, you should keep all dangers in mind and provide the best protection. I like how Metropolitan Movers deal with this task. The helpers came with packing supplies, offered me a safe truck, and controlled the quality of packing. We used tape, shrink, and even a blanket to prevent all risks. I was also offered insurance, but there was no need for it.

  14. Experienced moving company

    Moving unique items to my workshop, I was quite afraid of damages. Despite Metropolitan Movers calmed me down with full insurance coverage, I didn’t want any troubles. Well, the team performed perfectly. We packed the belonging into a container with high protection, they also used tape, shrink, and blankets to cover the glass. I like how careful they are, splendid undertaking at a fair price!

  15. WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!

    I just use them on November 25, 2020 and they came highly recommended to me from a friend. They were on time but they were extremely slow and they are paid by the hour. It took them almost 2 hours to disassemble a queen size bed and an L-shape sofa from Ikea. It took them almost 6 hours to load the truck and I have a 690 sqft condo!!!

    The elevator was booked for 3 hours and another 4 hours at the drop off location. By the time they arrived at the drop off location it was half way through the elevator booking and they said they were unable to complete my move. I had to call head office to get a third mover here who happened to be a manager. Then they finished everything including the assembly of the furniture in 3.5 hours, FUNNY!!

    They only blanket wrapped my 2 TVS! Glass cabinets were shrink wrapped only! No care was taken and they did not wrap all of the furniture. I had to HELP and show them how to move larger items and they still damaged alot of my heavier furniture items. They did not use moving blankets and used the carpet from the elevator to bring in my things, GROSS!! There are Knicks and scratches on my furniture, floors and walls!!!!

    Customer service was beyond rude and sarcastic to me once I told them the situation and asked for another mover so I was not left hanging and stuck.

    This was the worst move I have ever experienced from start to finish. The movers had no common sense and were inexperienced.

    I DO NOT recommend this company! I paid almost $1300 for a move that was 11 hours that should have taken 7.5 hours tops!!!! It does not cost $1300 to move from 700 sq ft to 700 sqft with a one km distance between homes.
