Delivered on Everything Promised.
My goal for using a mover was not having to move or lift anything. Goal achieved! Last time I handled my own move I broke a box of my wedding china so there was no way I was risking anything else so I wanted someone reputable. I looked online and found National Moving Group. I called just for a quote to compare. The sales rep immediately shocked me with how sweet and genuinely happy she seemed. She talked me through what having movers meant, different plans, and what would be the best fit. From there we discussed how much I was taking and how far. I had an estimate 1800 lbs but I was going fairly far. So I was quoted around 2500. It sounded like a lot at first but she took the time to break down the costs with me. I booked them right there. We had a binding estimate and I ended up paying what I promised. Sent in my deposit and chose my move day. They gave me 2 day pickup window, told me all the need to know about moving, like to defrost my fridge at least a day before etc. The movers came on the first day. It was 5 men total and they all were quiet and professional. They plastic wrapped our carpet and got everything into the truck. The actual movers took a few hours to load the truck. They were very fast, I was shocked at how coordinated they seemed. Must be the mark of professionals. The truck took a little under two weeks to get to the new address. Just as promised. I loved them and I would definitely use them again!
Movers do better work than Friends.
Moving isn't too bad so long as you have a reliable service or really nice friends s willing to help out. But I had an issue: I was moving out of state where I didn't know anyone. Plus, driving a large truck that far without being trained for it seemed dangerous. I ended up hiring National Moving. They agreed to move as well as drive and unload. All issues resolved. It seemed a bit pricey at first. But the rep took the time to break down the estimate and explained each cost. On moving day the movers were so helpful and sweet it was almost like moving with friends. They were careful with everything and had it all loaded and ready to go within a few hours. Couches stacked, desks and bookcases disassembled, we were ready to go. The driver took about a week to get to the new place and a different team helped me unload. The guys are awesome and they have a great business.
My moving experinece.
Ladies and Gentlemen, If you see National Moving "Group" on your inquiries or paperwork; RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can. They are "NOT" a moving company. They are a broker who charges you $1600.00 to make a phone call to a second rate mover like "Best Price Movers" out of Chicago. That is definitely another name to avoid. They hired Best Price to move me without telling me. Best Price did over $4500.00 worth of damage to my belongings. They offered me $375.00 to settle. That is not the worst thing. I am now retired after 31 years of serving in the US military to protect the Americans rights. Best Price has the audacity to make an offer to settle and have me sign my rights away. This is what they sent to me. If I agree to accept their piddly offer of $375.00 for all the damage they did ($4500.00) I must agree to "no further claims, complaints, statements or actions may be taken or reported to any state, city, governnment, insurance, consumer group, public, media organization, internet website or credit card agency. ARE THEY KIDDING? I did not serve 31 years in the Military for them to try and strip me or any other American of their rights. I hope you agree. Stay away from National Moving Group and Best Price on Kostner Rd in Chicago or you will be very sorry. Attached is just 1 of over 50 pictures that I have that will show you what theee follks did. Now for an ending to this rant, After I confronted National about all the negative post they said well "You can't put a lot of stock in those posts because if someone has a bad experience they write about but if they have a pleasant experince you never hear from them". I submit that they are lying.
Great mover!!
When I found national moving group, on yahoo I immediatley called them to get a moving quote. I was transfered to a guy named jeff who now we speak at least once a day ha =) jeff you are a good guy and as I promised you here is the review if eveyrthing went well.
The movers were fantasic they showed up the day they told me and even called me the day before just as jeff promised and let me know what time they would be there so I could be ready.
if you are moving far and are looking for a good moving company you should defintley call national moving group realiable movers, with a good reputation and the best customer service., .
Buyer Beware!! Not-to-exceed cost clause is a joke.
Bottom line: I am most disappointed with National Moving Group (NMG). I moved this past summer and now I’m out over $2,000 than what I was originally quoted to pay despite a “Not-to-Exceed Cost” in the contract, my job was subcontracted out to an incompetent company though NMG advertised as a full service moving company. Further, my items arrived late and I suffered property damage. While pleasant on the phone, for the most part, they will talk a good game and even side with you but place all blame all on the subcontracted company and will take absolutely no actions to rectify the situation they created.
Details:
1.Signed a contract with a binding “Not-to-Exceed Cost” clause in the contract
2.NMG clearly identified themselves as a full service moving company in their “About Us” emailed to me in May.
3.Unbeknownst to me, they subcontracted with another moving company who was to honor original contract
4.Three price increases
5.Charged for shuttle bus
6.Property damage. Even purchased a protective plastic covering for couch to prevent such damage.
7.Moved from a 1-bed to a 550ft studio with no unusually heavy furniture yet, weight of truck doubled. My inventory list was exact when they called me two days before the pick up and actually less than pick up day
8.Late delivery despite wiring subcontracted company over half of what I was required for a speedy delivery
9.I was left dealing with two companies, several contracts and no clear point of contact person.
10.Tried to settle with NMG but they claimed they have nothing to do with it. Tried going through the subcontracted company’s claims process but nothing – not even a phone call.
11.I was left financially drained while both companies profited from breached terms

Great movers.
I contracted with national moving group, over the phone and spoke with todd he assured me my move would go well and it sure did. He told me everything was going to go by weight when the movers showed up they had an empty weight ticket they loaded all my furniture on the truck and in about 3 hours later we were done. I have to say national moving group was a great company to deal with from start to finish they were with me. upon on delivery national moving group called and asked me how everything went I was so happy if you are looking for a mover national moving group is the company to go with. .
Really Good Guys.
I am maybe moved 5 times in my life, and out of all the moves I have done This last move had to be the easiet. I contracted my move with Jay from national moving group about 1 month prior to the actual move date as the days narrowed down, jay and others from national kept in touch with me which I found to be great customer service from them. The day of the move they hired a fabolous moving company to pick me up in georgia, the main guys name was Anthony it was him and 2 other guys, they were polite and knew what they were doing in about 4 hours my house was all packed up the best part is anthony told me delivery will be in 3 days, usualy I have to wait for a week, not here. This move went just great.
Fantastic Service, Start to Finish.
I went into this moving process thinking it would be simple, find a mover, tell them what I had to move, schedule it, move. I was wrong. I encountered so many moving companies that gave me the run around, quoted me impossibly low prices, and promised the world. Then, thankfully, I found National Moving Group. I spoke to Jeff, who was my moving coordinator from start to finish. He explained everything in detail, and really put me at ease during this process. This company is fair, reliable, and trustworthy, something that is lost in this business, based on my other findings. All I can say is that everything went smoothly, as promised, and I'm comfortably typing this review from my couch, in my new house. I couldn't be happier. Thank You Jeff for walking me through this, and a big thanks to the guys who did all the heavy lifting!!

Definitely a Huge Help.
My friend Katelynn used National for her move and recommended them to us. I figured a moving company would save me the actual labor. I didn't plan for the fact that they would handle so much else. Like providing transportation, packing materials, and helping plan the move. To be honest for the money I paid I'm glad they did. The $2100 was normal considering we were moving across the country and a quote anywhere is around that price. That was my binding estimate. We packed up everything a week before the move as instructed. I sent our kids ahead of us with their grandparents and we stayed behind to make sure the movers came on time. The movers showed up around noon on the first day of our two-day pickup window. We had 5 movers including the driver who helped load. They were done within a couple hours and drove away. I drove down and eight days later the truck showed up at the new place in Washington DC. A different group of movers helped us unload and we unpacked ourselves. It all seems to be here and undamaged so I couldn't be happier!
Overall pleasant Experience.
I used National Moving Group to move me from New Jersey To Florida. Great company. There was bad weather getting out of upstate NY, so the truck was delayed one day but other than that everything went great. Frank was courteous and helpful and I was able to reach him even after hours on their 24 hour customer service number they told me they had.I would highly recommend them to friends and family.
Delivered Super Quick.
The truck driver had to go from our home town of Ogden, Utah to sunny San Marcos, California. The drive is normally at least a day or so depending on whether or not you stop to eat and sleep. But the driver got there in just a day. The movers were really quick but they didn't break or damage a thing. Those guys are professionals. We had all the boxes packed really well and weighed so we knew we weren't passing our estimate and end up with a more expensive move. They also sent someone at a separate time to make sure before the move we were within our quote. Everything was loaded safely and delivered so quickly. I was almost worried he stuff would get there before us! They told us it could take up to a week. I didn't expect it to arrive on the first day they gave us in that window. I am forever grateful.
Excellent Moving Service.
I was referred to The National Moving Company by a friend and the experience I received was nothing short of amazing. I ordered the service for a 1 day pickup and drop off and the team was on time, polite and courteous from start to finish. They made sure to handle each piece of my furniture with special care, making sure not to scratch or dent anything as they were moving it to and from my house. The service team moved very quickly. I've moved a couple of other times in my life and have had the displeasure of other companies, National Moving Company renewed my faith in moving services. Once everything was disassembled, packed and loaded onto the truck, the supervisor gave me a thorough run down on exactly how everything was going to operate. This made the transition less confusing and allowed me to worry about the 100 other things I had to do that day. The National Moving Company gave me the peace of mind that everything was going to be done right the first time and that I wouldn't have to babysit anyone. One more thing before I end, the pricing of this company versus all of the other companies I have researched were not even close to comparison. Other companies wanted 2-3 times more money than the amount that National Moving Company did the job for, also wanting me to work around their schedule. If you're looking for an amazing service for a great price, then check these guys out. I will definitely be referring their services to my other friends and family, the same was it was referred to me. Thanks again guys, I couldn't be happier. We are moved in and ready to start living.
Great Experience and Service for a Cross Country Move.
National Moving Group, Inc. Made my unexpected Cross-Country move much less stressful. They were very helpful and professional every step of the way. It was a pleausre working with Frank, Frankie, Richard, and Liz. They have prompt customer service and are very easy to get a hold of. They answered any questions I had and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to any friends or family that is doing a long distance move. .
Incredibly Fast Service.
Right off the bat, the sales rep was funny and got me what I needed. I found out what I had to do for my move, like not buy groceries or perishables 2 weeks before the move. That I can save time with the movers by pre-disassembling anything that needs to be disassembled. Stuff like that. We agreed on a certain amount of boxes and estimated a weight and from there chose the truck size, how many movers I would need, and my estimate from there. We agreed at $2300 and my move was set for the 3rd of October with a two day pickup window. I got a call 5 days before asking if anything had changed and nothing had so we were good to go. The movers came on the second day of the pickup window which was slightly disappointing but the guys were so laid back and chill that I wasn't even bothered. They worked fast and were gentle with all my stuff. They loaded and drove and were at my new place in Boca Raton 6 days later. Great service. Finally unpacked. Time to give my thanks.
Perfect Full Moving Services.
Moving goal: To do absolutely nothing except make a phone call. I have two small children and I just could not imagine having to help my husband lift heaving furniture with their tiny selves running around and playing with packing tape or breaking dishes, I just did not want to deal with that, so I called National Moving Group. Just for a quote at first to see if hiring movers was even plausible. Considering I was moving out of a small apartment with minimal furniture in Wyoming to Utah, my quote was extremely reasonable. In fact, the $2250 was way under what I was expecting. I chose to use National and booked them right there. We had a binding estimate and I ended up paying what I promised. Sent in my deposit and chose my move day. They gave me 2 day pickup window, told me all the need to know about moving, like to defrost my fridge at least a day before etc. The movers came on the first day. They got to the new place in Salt Lake withing 3 days and had everything unpacked. Machines hooked up. Boxes undamaged. Truly a full service move!
