  1. Avoid at All Costs.

    I am a broke college student. I helped a friend store her items in my condo for over six months, as well as booked her move for her with this unfortunate excuse for a moving company. I was quoted $1000 for ONE BEDROOM's worth of belongings. This included a full mattress, a chair, a leaning wall desk, some boxes-- whatever you might find in ONE BEDROOM. Anyway, they were two weeks late with the delivery to Georgia. When the driver of the truck, who goes by the name "Uzi," got to Georgia, he decided to double the price of the move and did not consult anyone involved. They are now refusing to provide us with an itemized statement from what they cultivated on the date of pick-up, and are holding my friend's items hostage, as well as threatening to sell her things at auction. I have been dealing with this company for weeks now as they continue to raise their price (after doubling it), deny the itemized statement, and hold the items hostage. My friend is also a broke college student who now needs to find an additional $1100, as well as the $1000 I have paid during the course of this fiasco already!! ONE BEDROOM for $2100, originally QUOTED $1000. Avoid this laughable excuse for a company, and Manuel A. Torres in particular. Go with Mayflower!!

    I would like to commend both crews that serviced my move from Cape Cod MA. to Tampa Fl. Uzi and his crew picked up, they did a masterful job protecting all my furniture and handled all my goods as if it was theirs. On the delivery end Emir and Omar did a great job unloading and stacking my furniture and belongings in a storage unit, masterfully using the space provided and professionally stacked in storage. In short Nationwide provided all my needs in moving at a lower cost than I could've done it myself renting a moving truck. I give them a 10 out of 10.

  3. VA to FL move.

    Our experience was very positive overall. Moving (especially long distance) is without a doubt one of the hardest situations to deal with. Nationwide was reliable and we couldn't have been happier with our moving crew, Elvis and William. They were professional, friendly and extremely competent in their work. Alana, our main point of contact, was also extremely helpful in coordinating the details. .

    10 REASONS NOT TO USE NATIONWIDE VAN LINES FOR YOUR MOVE
     
    1.  We used Nationwide because of the price we were given over the phone.  However, they don't send anyone out to see exactly what you have.  They just send you forms which you fill out and go over with them over the phone.  PROBLEM #1.  Work with a company that comes out to view exactly what you have.
     
    2. The head mover  looked around at everything and said the price was on target.  He said that on the second day too all the way up to around 8:00PM and then began to say we might go over a little.  By 11:30PM we were up 25% more.  Of course we complained but it was too late to get anyone on the phone, we were exhausted as it was almost midnight and we were closing the next morning.  PROBLEM #2  We should have told them we wanted them to remove everything from the truck to decide what we weren't going to take.  But they got you when it's so late and they know you are closing the next morning.
     
    3. The movers arrived in Florida on time.  It was pouring out.  We  had to ask for them to things down so not to walk through the house with all the water.  There was no respect for our home.  PROBLEM #3
     
    4. Since our boxes were not marked we had no idea what was in the boxes as they put kitchen stuff in with shoes. PROBLEM #4
     
    5.  We had them leave the boxes in the garage as we had no idea what was in each box.  They said they had another stop that same day.  However, they have you sign a paper that you received everything and was okay.  It is not feasible to go through every single box to make sure nothing is damaged and everything is there. PROBLEM #5.  I would recommend that you make the movers stay until you have gone through every single box.  Our movers told us they had another stop after us so there was no way we would have been able to go through everything before they left.  Later on when we filed a claim we were told since the items were not said to be missing or damaged at time of delivery we would not be compensate compensated.  Maybe by doing this the movers can see what they are asking you to sign is not possible! 6 The CEO, Tali Maskalik, was contacted but she never responded to anything directly.   PROBLEM #6 7. CSI was recommended by Nationwide. You pay Nationwide for the service.  Conflict of interest PROBLEM # 8. We now had no choice but to file a claim through CSI.   They have to go through Nationwide to do anything more with us like have another evaluator come out because the first one did not evaluate everything and just put that  the items were not available to evaluate which was not true.   PROBLEM #8   9. Nationwide kept saying that they did not pack our things we did PROBLEM #9 10. I wanted to post this now even though nothing has been finalized because once you accept a settlement you have to remove any negative post you have put up.  PROBLEM #10.  
     
    As of today, May 6, 2015, our lawyer still has not heard back from Nationwide’s lawyer because Nationwide is not calling their own lawyer  back to get this resolved.    So we continue to wait !

    Overall pleasant experience. Rachael was my coordinator in the office, always pleasant and informative. Being as stressed as we were, she put us at ease and answered all questions no mattter the relevance, what a pleasure to deal with.
    The pickup crew led by Linzano was terrific, polite,professional and really cared about our property. I can't say enough about the professionalism his team showed
    I would recommend this team including Rachael to anyone wishing to move without worry.

  6. UZI and Elvis were awesome.

    UZI was in charge of both my pickup and deliver for my move from NY to S.Carolina. I was amazed at the professionalism and level of expertise during the packing up process. I immediately felt at ease and confident that the job would be done to my satisfaction and it was. The delivery was wonderful as well and again both UZI and ELVIS were terrific and made the experience a very pleasant one. I would highy recommend Nationwide Van Lines.  I also want to mention that Alana - my original sales person was terrific as well - she communicated very efficiently and was able to answer all my questions very promptly.

  7. East Coast Move.

    I had Nationwide Van Lines move me from central Virginia to central Florida. I've also never had experience with a moving company, so it was a trial run.    It was an excellent experience. I literally had nothing to worry about. They took apart all of my furniture (some being a pain to do) and wrapped everything and moved it all. I actually packed a decent amount of my stuff, but next time I might consider having it all packed!   The driver, Darren, even gave me his own cell number so we could coordinate the move on our own, which worked out wonderfully. They showed up to move me in on my first possible day in the move in window. It was great. Worth every penny.

  8. Excellent Experience; In fact, Extraordinary!!

    From the very first phone call made to the company  to the last piece of furniture that was delivered, my experience with this company was excellent!  The office staff was thorough, clear and had professional follow - through every step of the way.  The quotes were fair and the staff explained every charge and detail that was specified. And, nothing changed throughout the process!! The moving crew was exceptional. I honestly can't say enough about what a good experience it was. The furniture was packed up beautifully at the pick up site and was delivered with care and attention and respect. The crew was not only attentive to the furniture, but considerate of our walls, floors and doors! They worked with us every step of the way and offered helpful suggestions. Given that the pickup was in Florida and delivery was in snow-covered Massachusetts, they had to contend with horrific weather conditions. But, they were even cheerful throughout the delivery. (better than us, I might add) Moreso, some pieces were difficult to maneuver in our home, but they worked tirelessly to ensure that everything could get where it had to go.I honestly had been dreading this move and was fearful of the condition that furniture would arrive in; however, my fears were unwarranted with this crew.  I would recommend them wholeheartedly!

    This was my first time using a mover and I had heard horror stories about people who used movers and were robbed both financially and physically.  I am so happy to say that this experience was nothing like that.  Nationwide Van Line is the best at what they do.  My movers Uzzi and Elvis were the best.  They were courteous, patient, thorough, quiet and most of all efficient.  My former management company tried to have them removed and they did not miss a beat. They did this while we were in the middle of a snow storm.  They finished the job and never complained.  Every detail was taken care of by Uzzi and Elvis. Not only would I use Nation Wide Van Lines again, I will use them again and specially request Uzzi and Elvis.  Thank you to Nation Wide and a special thanks to Uzzi and Elivs for making this process a lot less painful.

  10. A Happy Ending & Excellent Overall Experience.

    My experience was a 5-star in spite of a glitch along the way.  We moved from South Florida to the Central Coast of Florida, about 250 miles total. My original experience, including my phone conversations, the in-house estimates and the follow up to those estimates, were all excellent.  Alana and Reggie were both excellent and highly professional and we were looking forward to our move. Our understanding was because of the short distance and both locations were right off I-95, the move would happen in one day, or overnight.   However, about 5 days before the move, I contacted them to review the final details.  My regular contact was on vacation and I spoke to someone else who during the conversation, told me my move would take at least 5 days and maybe more and to get it delivered on the same day or the next day, would cost me about an additional 40% increase of my quoted price.  I ended up talking to the supervisor Manny, and unable to resolve the issue, I was extremely upset and cancelled the move just 5 days out.  Two days later while in the process of making other arrangements,  Manny called to see if we were able to find an alternative and how things were going.  He was truly helpful and sincere in our conversation and asked if he could make us another offer.   He said, he would guarantee our move would be either the same day or over night and for the price we originally were quoted.    After a few conversations, we agreed to reschedule our move with them.  They drivers showed up the next morning at 10 AM as promised, had everything packed and ready to go in about 90 minutes and about 4 hours later, as we were pulling up to our new address, they movers pulled up right behind us.  One hour later, everything was delivered in excellent condition. The movers could not have been any better.   Over the course of the next week, Manny called several times to follow up and make sure everything went well.  Our move went from what appeared to be a dream, to a nightmare, to a dream come true and I would definitely use Nationwide Van Lines again. .

  11. Excellent Service- Florida to Rhode Island.

    From the beginning Rachel was very professional and a great sales person from start to finish. She answered all of my questions and concerns with packing, moving costs, and times of pick-up. It was the best experience I had ever had in dealing with a move. Especially during the holidays. the best experience I have ever had with a moving company. Moving men were very professional and courteous . Wrapped all of the furniture and placed on the truck without damaging or scratching a single item. Delivered in the same condition as when they picked it up. Would highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a long distance move.

    Rachel did a fantastic job despite my constant phone calls and irritating questions.The cost was very competitive even lower than some of the other long distance movers .The movers Darrin & D were very professional , wrapped and packed all of our items without a single incident.Same on delivery not a single scratch or broken item. Would highly recommend this team.

    I had a very pleasant experience with this company. The sales person Reggie Collins and Manny helped me prepare for my move.  Answered all my questions and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question.    I was goiing to use the pods but the cost was approximately the same and I wanted to work with a company that was involved with the entire process.  If I used the pods I would have needed to hire a local moving company on each end and I didn't want to get into that the movers arrived ontime and were very pleasant and professional. They had a very organized logical process for packing and loading the truck. They explained everything so I would know what to expect on the receiving end as well. I was unable to meet the movers in Florida so my sister met them. She said they very so nice and professional.  They were very careful to ensure all my property was off the truck and nothing was left behind I would strongly recommend this company.

  14. Pleasant moving experience !

    I was impressed with the moving service provided by Lisandro and his crew.  They moved and packed my things for the move from Grand Island, New York to Leesburg, Virginia.  Everything went very smoothly. When my furniture arrived, I was very pleased to the same moving crew who packed the furniture also came to unpackit. That was a very pleasant experience. 
    I will recommend to anyone and especially my daughter for any long distance moves in the future,.

  15. Delivery.

    Johnny and his helpers were professional and efficient. They were respectful of my house and took care to keep things clean, in order and in the places they belonged. Their truck and equipment was in top shape and they exhibited good manners at all times. My only complaint has nothing to do with the delivery. Nationwide's policy of not accepting credit card or personal check payments was inconvenient.
