  1. Delivery.

Whole experience with your company was 5 star or better.  The delivery went very smoothly and the delivery person (Uzi) was top notch.  We was courteous, efficient and extremely professional.  We had a delivery to a storage unit and asked if your company could deliver locally once we purchased out home next year.  We asked if we could request him but of course we can't. I would recommend your company and employees (pick up as well as delivery) to anyone and have already done so to some friends moving down this way.
Thanks for a very smooth and enjoyable move. Normally very stressful but your company made it very easy.

  2. Nationwide Van Lines.

Overall, we were pleased with how quickly our house was packed up and unloaded.  The driver called and were able to start packing a day earlier than we were expecting, but this worked out well.   My only complaint ( and I take the blame for NOT reviewing the item list as well as I should ), is when doing a telephone walk through with Stenglar, I had verbally told of each piece of furniture in each room.  Whether he heard, or couldn't keep up with the items, many weren't on the item count sheet, thus the IMPORTANCE of going over the sheet and adding what was missed!  So, the truck didn't have the space to hold all left out items.  Uzi did well in packing, and I had to make decisions as to what to bring and what to leave out.  Although, one example on sheet was dresser, mirror - this is JUST mirror, hmmm, needed the dresser too.  Overall, the crew was helpful.

  3. Highly Recommend.

I could not have wished for a more pleasant, knowledgeable, honest, professional and courtesy experience with moving.  Everyone from sales, customer service, management and drivers were ideal, making my interstate transition as stress-free as possible. From the initial quote of $1,614.00 to delivery, there were no huge surprises; of course, I like many underestimated the number of boxes I anticipated (quote was for 20) and the actual moved boxes equalled 34, so there was an additional charge and total move cost was $1764.00.  Every item arrived free of damage and the timeline of four days from Miami Beach, Florida to Richmond, Virginina was completely within reason, as I drove out of Miami myself two days later, allowing me the time necessary to arrive in Richmond to greet the truck myself. I highly recommend Nationwide Van Lines and should another major move be necessary, I will call them again.

  4. Excellent, hassle-free move.

I had to move from Florida to NC. I was worried about the move as I have lots of household stuff, and had heard about unprofessional, overcharging and unreliable movers. However, my experience with Nationwide was totally opposite to that. Right from the quote process to pick-up (including packing and loading) to delivery, it was very well managed, efficient and done with care. The folks who came for pick up & delivery handled my stuff as they would handle their own; they even re-packed couple of cartons that I had as they thought it needed more tape; helped me get down the ceiling lights; helped clean up the apartment after pick-up and delivery, and were courteous and smiling - which is a relief as my family was also around. Also, on the day of pick up it was raining very heavily in Florida, so they had to double wrap in plastic all the stuff, carry it out slowly to the truck, watch out for standing water etc etc.. even the rains did not stop them for long.
Very pleasant and efficient service - will ask them again to handle my move. Unfortunately, they handle only east coast moves.
One suggestion I have is: once the initial quote process is done, they need to assign you to the moving specialist to schedule the move and work out other details. I did not get that assigned and after the advance payment, I tried calling back the quote specialist, but he did not return my calls. Finally after 2-3 days I was contacted by them and the move process started.

  5. From ct to ga.

I recently relocated for work. During the planning process, I quickly found myself overwhelmed with the number of moving companies and began to rely on reviews, which is why I decided to write one myself.

If it wasn't for a very long delivery timeframe, then I would be giving Nationwide an A . The price was middle of the road. Customer service was really helpful during the quoting process and the movers were on time for pickup. We chose for the full packing service and everything was packed with care.

The movers were extremely polite at both pickup and drop off, which was a relief because we heard horror stories about rude, careless movers.

The only complaint I have is the extremelllyyyy long delivery. It was a total of 25 calendar days from pickup to drop off and they were a day late on the contractual delivery date, which was a whopping $25.00/day fee on their part.

No one was able to tell me the actual timeframe for when our things would be delievered, until our stuff was actually loaded back onto the truck from the storage facility it was being stored in, which wasn't until the 20th day. That was by far the most frustrating part.

Once we finally got our belongings, we were very happy that the only casualty along the way was a broken lamp shade. Being that we have glass table tops and a lot of fragile items, we were really impressed, espeially because there are so many stories out there about movers breaking a ton of items in the moving process.

Long story short- we were thrilled with this company except for the long delivery, so if you are ok with sleeping on an air mattress for a while, then you should strongly consider this company.

  8. Simply The Best!

SIMPLY THE BEST!  My mom recently passed away and I desperately wanted her bedroom furniture and other keepsakes.  My family told me that it would be impossible and expensive to have everything moved from her home in Florida to my home in Virginia.  Kevin, Eric and their professional team of movers made it happen!  Due to challenging logistics, I needed a specific day and window of time for the pick up and I needed it to be on a Saturday.  Kevin made that happen.  Eric convinced a reluctant guard to allow him to drive the huge truck through my mom's gated community.  He kept his promise to not go near any grassy areas and drove the truck flawlessly - like he was maneuvering a little sports car!  Packing and moving my mom's things was an emotionally draining experience for me.  Everyone at Nationwide Van Lines was kind, courteous, supportive and helpful and turned what could have been a stressful situation into a MOST POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.  Every time I look at my mom's dresser sitting in my bedroom, I am so grateful that Nationwide Van Lines made it possible for it to be in my home!  Thank you so much!!

  9. Lies and Damage - use someone else.

These guys sure will sell you on one thing and do another. First I was told that I would know which day of the two day pickup window they would come one week prior. I was then told after calling 5 days prior that they didn't know where there driver would be until 24 hours before. How do you not know?!
Second, I was told by customer service not to listen to the driver for the delivery date which was supposed to be 3 days after pickup. The driver said after leaving, he would be there Sunday. I called customer service and they said no way and they would know. So I figured I had some time to make my way up to MA from GA. No I was told the day after my pickup that the delivery would be tomorrow - two days from pickup, not the three days I was told as a minimum. I was still in GA and had to drive through the night to get to MA the next day to take delivery.
Third, during pickup they hired guys off the street not associated with Nationwide. They also did not use the appropriate boxes that I paid for, namely the dishware boxes and picture boxes - which will be part of my claim since items were damaged.
Fourth, during delivery they broke our high chair. I had to run out to get a new one the next day. They also broke, chipped, scratch, dented, cracked, nicked many furniture items - many of which were for the nursery. I have a long list of damaged goods.
Fifth, we received someone else's Snug-a-monkey box for their kid. I notified Nationwide about the item and to this date they have yet to do anything about it. So I guess if you are missing something, they will not help you find it.
Sixth, they define a flight of stairs as 8 stairs. A typical flight of stairs is usually more than 8 stairs so they will charge you extra for your normal run of stairs.
Seventh, I was never told that the 'full coverage' I was receiving was only for $.60 per pound and not the 'extra full coverage' which costs more. So I'm expecting my claim that I'm submitting this week will be for almost nothing.
If you care only about speed and not about keeping your furniture and other stuff in its current condition and quality, then sign up for this outfit.
I will never use these guys again. In fact I may never use movers again and just pack my own stuff. If you can, UHaul or POD.

  10. "Hook Me Up".

Our move of 1169.8 miles was the most stressfull move of our lives but what we didn't know at time was that we were in good hands from the begining. We first contacted Rachael approximatly one month before our move. Rachael stood by her word that eveything would be ok. She was very helpfull and tried to assure us that everything the company promised would be met. She had great confidence in her company. We were still a little nervous because of having a bad experience with previous moving companies. Her personality was comforting but all companies tell you what you want to hear not the reality of it all. We discovered that Racheal was genuine and at that point we should have left the moving experience up to her. With that I would advise anyone moving north or south of east coast to let go of your stress because Racheal will take care of everything. Enjoy your trip to your destination knowing "Racheal will hook you up". The moving team showed up on the day of the move. Daniel and his team took their time to treat our property as if it were their own. My obsessive, compulsive thinking still had me stressed for no reason so relax and let them do their job. All of my stress was unwarranted. The guys were great at what they do and do it well. Trust them to take care of your property. All three gentlemen were just that "gentlemen". They worked very hard. If they worked for myself I would make sure that they had no reason to work for another company. This is the result of how well they did their jobs. These guys take pride in their work and should be treated with respect. Sometimes people who work the hardest get the least acknowledgement. Racheal once again "hooked us up" with a great team of movers. Just like she promised. Guess What? Daniel and his team showed up again eight days later before their designated time frame at our new house!! With much surprise of my distrusting self. They brought evrything back into our new home with as much respect as they took it out of the old house. Racheal once again "hooked of us up" just like she said the company would do. This brings me to the overall experience. The move in which we stressed over will never happen again because I would use Nationwide Van Lines again. My next move will be stress free because I know Racheal, Daniel and the whole team will "hook me up". I will enjoy my destination instead of stressing over it. What could have been a great leisurely drive, I wasted it stressing over my distrust in movers. Therefore I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a stressfree move. Thanks Team, Lisa    .

  11. Overall good movers.

Driver was misinformed by the mattress covers being included, but accepted what was in the contract. the truck sent was larger than ordered, but luckily it fit in both pick up and delivery driveways. otherwise, it was only five hours from arrival to finish of delivery/set-up from Miami Beach to Hallandale and nothing was damaged or lost. Much better experience than I had with ALL MY SONS four years ago, which was way over-estimate. Always demand binding agreement and don't let them add on charges. Availability of representative was very good on the phone and email with this company, and overall experience was very good in what is always a stressful undertaking.

  12. Great.

The move went nice and smooth, although it took the whole day. I knew it would because we had a lot of stuff. The head moving guy was very professional and respectful. he was looking out for our best interest. If I ever move again I would us nationwide van lines.

  13. Great job during a stressful time!

My experience with Nationwide Van Lines was fantastic!  During a stressful time in my life, this company was professional, polite, and willing to work with me.  Racheal Skolnik, my Certified Moving Consultant, was there with me the entire time.  She made me feel like a person, and not just "another job."  She answered all of my questions and helped me figure out what I needed to do to make the move successful.  Jose, the driver, and his crew worked quickly and efficiently, and really went above and beyond to make sure that things were done well.  The move was well worth the $2884 that I paid for a move of 800 miles.  They were even willing to pick up early, but understood when I wasn't prepared, and were right on time the next day for my things.  They arrived a day early to my destination, but were able to work with me to coordinate times so that I had enough time to get there myself before unloading.  Having my items as soon as I got there made things a lot easier and a lot more comfortable.  Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a long distance move along the east coast.

  14. Move from SC to the Florida Keys.

We chose Nationwide Moving  to move the furniture and belongings from our three bedroom house in South Carolina to the Florida Keys based on the reviews much like this one.   From the earliest contact until the post move follow up, our moving consultant, was very professional and helpful.  He was available to answer our questions and meet our needs.  The actual moving crew communicated with us before and during the move.  They were very hardworking and professional.  They were careful in packing and transporting our furniture.  We had no breakage at all.   When our closing was delayed on the day of delivery, they worked with us to deliver as soon as we were able to get into the house.  We were amazed at how quickly they were able to unload the truck, deliver the furniture and boxes to the appropriate rooms, and set up the beds. In the best of circumstances, moving is a difficult experience, but the people at Nationwide did everything they could to make this move go smoothly for us.  I would recommend them without hesitation.

  15. Boston to Miami Move.

My experience with Nationwide Van Lines was extraordinary.  The quality of service for the price was beyond fair and I was extremely happy I made this choice.  From the salesman, Phil to the dispatchers (Gideon, Manny) to the actual movers (Jose and crew), everyone was very helpful and professional.  They assuaged my concerns from beginning to end.  The movers worked diligently through horrible weather, had positive attitudes and it almost felt like one big happy family (well not the crazy type of family!!) - just easy to work with!!  I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone in the future..but that's only if you want to work with accommodating professional workers :)!
