  1. Poor.

This company should not be in business, they are nothing but a bunch of thief's, First off they tell you one price then charge you double, They steal your items I can not believe how a company like this is still in business and not shut down. Now I understand why, when they deliver your items you have to pay the rest in cash. This way you can not stop a payment when you realize something is definitely wrong.
Carl did my contract, and he did not tell me that They were going to SUB CONTRACT my Job out. It does not state that anywhere on my contract either. Carl is a Great Bull S-----R
I moved from Florida to N.J. hired these so called movers. They came loaded up a truck, took off. I had a terrible time trying to get my items delivered, It wasn't until I told them that I felt like I was getting ripped of that they finally contacted me to deliver my items They lied about The delivery days, They kept changing the day, which they said it was my fault, The delivery guys didn't even know where to deliver my items they had to call me for the address. They finally arrived and just dumped of my items, ( yes dumped them off) They were very unprofessional and sloppy looking. That should of been a red flag alone to me.
They would not even unload the truck till I pay them the last amount. I noticed & told the driver that my drill was missing. They took off like a bat out of H--- That even my apartment complex manager made a complaint to me. People in the complex couldn't even understand that they were delivering on a Sunday night. Once they took off I started going through my boxes, when I realized something was definitely wrong , some of My boxes had a different color tape on it. a lot of my boxes were crushed and some of my tubs were badly cracked. When I started opening up my boxes I realized that some of my items were missing, I had quite a bid of broken items also. They even delivered shelves that were not mine, I hope that who was missing the shelves filed a report on them also. I did not even get all of my boxes, I could not believe that they cut some of my boxes open & went through my boxes and picked and chose what they wanted. What was inside my boxes was my business, Some of my items are irreplaceable, I am so aggravated about this. They left so quick that I could not even count my boxes. Another red flag, When I realized what had happened & the stolen things I went over to the N.J. State Police to file a report on this company. I called the company to tell them about this and tried to speak to Carl who did my contract and was told that he no longer works for the company , seams very strange. I had to file a claim with the insurance company, Which is another issue.
I feel like I was VIOLATED, I put my trust into this so called company (crappy) and this is what I got in return. I feel like I paid to get ripped off. My Husband and myself have been sick over this matter, It has been very hard to move on as these people have done an enormous number on us. I am so miserable and always crying, I get sick to my stomach just thinking about what happened.
No one should use this company as they are nothing but a bunch of crooks and Liars.
Something needs to be done to this company. They need to be put out of business. I really hope that someone does something to stop this AWFUL COMPANY. Whether it is the
Attorney General or Department of consumer affairs. But they need to look into this company further.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY .
SAVE YOURSELF ALOT OF AGGONY & GRIEF.

  2. Horrific- damaged items.

Wish I had seen these reviews before I went with Relocation R Us. I was told that my items would be taken care of and that special items I had of 110 year old chest and writing desk from the 40's would be well protected. Not only did both of those things get broken but what my contract says and the release paper said when they finally dropped off all of my items were two totally different things. It is going to cost me $1500 to fix the items they broke. The company has actively avoided all calls and emails and it took me several weeks before they finally sent me a link just to place my claim which is when I found out the paper I had signed under duress was not the correct paper and specific play on the part of the driver (who might I add was horribly rude). My contract said that my items were insured for $10000 but the release paper says that I only get .60 a pound for the items that were damaged. The driver knew I was upset and knew it was their fault and told me this was the release form. I literally was crying as I was signing the paper I was so upset and did not realize what I was initialing.
On top of that the driver will only accept cash or a postal check (but not a cashiers check even though I checked with the bank to see if it was the same thing). I was also told that the packing supplies were included and would not need to be returned upon delivery for additional cost which was a lie as the driver and assistance unwrapped everything unless I wanted to be charged $10 per blanket. In my contract I paid for the packing supplies so I got charged to borrow they blankets essentially. Further more the movers on both ends were beyond late like 5 hours or more and they all reeked of smoke which I am highly allergic too. I will be turning this company into the better business bureau. I hope no one else has to go through this.

  3. Worst Movers - Don't USE THIS COMPANY.

I only wish I would have read all these reviews before I hired Relocation R Us. As others, I was given an estimate ($1500,) signed the contract and when the movers arrived, the price went up to about $2300. I was charged $45 for tape and $100 for a box for my flat-screen tv. Lots of hidden costs.
Relocation R Us said they could store my belongings for $150 per month after the first free month. When I called at the end of that first month, I was told the truck was on it's way to me from NYC to CA. I had to rent a storage facility in CA because I was still getting settled. They couldn't give me a date when my belongings would arrive and after waiting for a number of weeks, I finally got a call from someone who could barely speak English, which made it very difficult to arrange a delivery time and date. They were suppose to be there on a Friday and didn't show up until Monday. My boxes were dented and smooshed. The box containing my dishes must have been dropped from a 10-story building because all the plates and bowls were smashed. Not just cracked - smashed. Most disturbing is that a suitcase bag containing expensive cowboy boots was missing an is STILL missing. The company no longer returns my emails. I have posted a bad review with the Better Business Bureau. I thought this company was accredited by the BBB but they are not and get a C- for their business practices. I wish I could reach out to everyone searching for movers and warn them to stay away from Relocation R Us.

  4. Seriously ppl, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I, unfortunately, did not read the reviews before using this company for my move. Every story is similar for a reason! I spoke with Ed about my move from Oklahoma to Florida. He is the one who recorded all of my inventory and explained the company a little bit. He assured me my bill wouldn't be more than $2000, as I was on a budget. After paying the deposit and getting halfway to Florida I receive a call from the movers telling me they had run out of space and it would cost me another $1000 to get the rest of my things loaded. The only things they had packed at this time was my living room couches, 3 beds and a lawnmower!! A push lawnmower! In fact, they had already gone over the space allowed and tacked on $400 to the original $2000 before telling me it would be another $1000 to get the rest. Already being halfway to Florida and needing my things, I payed the "pick up" price of $1200 just for them to drive the items they already had on the truck down here, leaving the rest of my things behind. I, since then, had called them twice with a drop off address, the first call being made on March 27th. Both times I was quoted 7- 10 business days for delivery. One month later, on April 27th, I called to see where my things were and they told me they were not in route yet. I had to make an uneccessary trip back down to Oklahoma just to grab the rest of my things and spend all this uneccessary extra money on top of what I am paying them. My current balance I owe to get my things dropped off is another $700. I called and spoke with Ryan, a supervisor, this morning to discuss my fury and anger about the situation and get this, he tells me he can't do anything nor give any discount because "they have no records of me calling" the first two times I called with the drop off address!! All I could literally do was laugh in disgust. They have been taken to court several times and lost. Unfortunately, I am going to have to spend more money, time and energy to take the same route but the way this business runs is beyond unacceptable and something has to be done. I had to learn the hard way and I STRONGLY suggest going somewhere else for your moving needs.

  5. Don't Use.

We were quoted a price of $3k, based on the inventory that was given to Jon. We paid the deposit. Jon kept in touch with us till our items were picked up. Moving day came and 3 men showed up in a budget truck from NJ. After everything was loaded in the truck, the foreman sat a completed the paperwork. The price came up to $8k. We asked why the difference in price and was told we had more that what was on the list. We did, 16 boxes. That shouldn't have added $5k to the bill. Called the company, left a message and no call back. After everything was in the truck, foreman asked for payment (75%) and than told us that there was a mandatory tip. ( We already gave the guys lunch and a $40 tip) We had a choice 5% or 7%. We chose the lesser. He wanted cash, told him a check cause bank was already closed. He wasn't happy, oh well. We moved to Florida and kept calling the company to have our items delivered. Called every day and was told we'll call you back with a date. Never received a call back. Kept calling to get a date, never received a call back. Out of the blue, received a call from a driver letting us know that they will be there at 9am. They were. Totally different crew from the ones that picked up our stuff. Won't use this company again.

  6. Extremely Professional friendly and easy to work with.

My experience with Relocation R Us was nothing short of excellent. I recently moved from New Jersey down to Coconut Creek, Florida. The rep I worked with was Jon and he was very professional and friendly which made it an absolute pleasure to do business with. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and even answered his phone on the weekends including Sunday which helped me get any last minute questions answered.
The moving crew was absolutely incredible. They were on time and did a fantastic job securing my belongings in the truck and an even better job reassembling everything in my new home. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to move long distance. Extremely professional, friendly, and easy to work with.

  7. Do not trust.

I contacted a lot of companies and received a lot of quotes. Matt gave me the best price. We moved from Queens to Tenn. He said another family was moving to Arkansas so he could offer us a discount. He quoted 1500 to us. We paid the deposit and I asked him for the specific amount to pay on pick up. A guy named Anthony came to pick up and the price went up a thousand dollars. The 3 guys were dressed in their regular clothes. They did not look professional at all. And one guy clearly didn't wear deodorant. I feel like they do this all the time. The bait and switch. They know our backs are against the wall. We have already paid a deposit that we lose if we don't pay the money. Total scam artists. Beware.

  8. Do Not Hire This Company.

Do not hire this moving company. They demanded cash on delivery AFTER I had already paid them by check, REFUSED to let me speak to a manager. Matt , the man I spoke to when booking my move, never answered or returned a single phone call after booking. There was thousands of dollars in damage to my furniture and they still will not return any calls or cooperate in processing the damage claim 5 months later.

  9. Beware of Relocationrus.

I had a horrible time working with this company. I was quoted( Sammy was the representative) a sum of $1100 for my relocation with double checking my inventory list and me also providing the dimensions of all large furniture. There was only 2 other items that were added finally.

It started out by fixing my appointment at 9 am on the moving day without any prior discussion. Sam had promised me that he would call me and fix the appointment which he never did. I then had to speak to mulitple people to get this sorted. He messaged me saying that you either accept or move another day. This was one day before I had to leave the city.

However when the packer came he told me that he would tell me the total tally once he packs and moves into the truck. Once done, he said there has been a total of 100 cft extra which would cost me $1600 extra than the original quoted amount of $1100. Sammy was not reachable on the phone to discuss this further. Once they reached to my new destination, they started saying that the truck was long and would not pull up exactly in front of the house and demanded $300 more. The problem here is the people who come for loading and unloading are different vendors and do not belong to the relocationrus company. They are totally unaware of the dealings on what went on between me and the relocationrus company.

Finally when I got hold of the manager Carl, he refused to discount and told me to pay. He told me that he would eventually call back and see if I can get a refund. As expected he never called back. I had to fight with the vendors who had no clue and with a company that changes representatives every time you call. Overall had a very bad experience and would not recommend this company for anyone in the future.

  10. Unethical And Deceitful Worst Movers Ever1.

We were quoted a price of $1386 which included all the furniture, large boxes, tall barrels etcc. First of all they could not find a park for about 1 hrr and were kept calling and calling. Finally my boyfriend went down and found a park. The trucker came in first and saw all the items he said that it would cost $4000 which no way were we going to pay that. He did not reason at all with us. We had paid some money in advance, paid them some at the apt and the rest which was $2000. We begged the truck and the helper to lower it because they were not going to take the furniture and he said no. I was so angry and on top of that he demanded him and his helper get $100 each as a tip and we paid it. The only discount we got was $75 and we had to buy brand new furniture when we got here. It was the horrible thing that happened to us and would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone to use them as their movers.

  11. Bunch of liars.

Moving with this company was a horrible experience. The salesman I called promised a pick up day and quote, They were late by 10 hours, the quote nearly tripled. ( I had called to increase the order, but the loaders never got the word). once they had my stuff in the truck at 2 in the morning, they claimed a flat tire, stuck in mud, got lost. Their dispatcher even called me to ask if I knew where his guys were. I must have called them 20 times on moving day to just have them keep lying to me.
When they delivered, they broke 6 items, lost furniture and lamps, and never called me to say if they were ever going to bring the missing things. I wound up paying almost $5000 dollars for the most incompetent, deceitful, unprofessional idiots. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, but they just said it all my fault for being "Demanding" (In other words, holding them to their promises)

Do NOT hire these crooks! Or kiss your money and furniture goodbye.

  12. Felt Scammed.

As the saying goes if it sounds to good to be true.. it probably is!
I was originally told $1250 all in, but the day of the load was charged 2xs that.. so the cashiers check I had prepared was not enough and had to cough up cash to finish the load. Even had to compromise on taking furniture to minimize my cost since I was was over budget and had NO more money to give them.
Then of course I was not delivered when told so I had to extend at the hotel and paid for that as well as an apartment since I had no furniture. They finally arrived a week later after 4pm with 1 Yes 1 person to unload my truck. He was very nice, however it was not a one person job and I had several pieces damaged.
All in all .. UNETHICAL - DECEITFUL - SHADY moving company and I am highly disappointed to say the least. I am still paying for the bait and switch cost! Not everyone has deep pockets!

  13. Don't get involved with Relocations R Us!

Relocations R Us completely took advantage of me. I felt as though I was flat out lied to and completely misled by Relocations R Us. My representative, Matt (no last name provided) quoted me at $2,099.79. The movers ended up charging more than double what I was quoted me – $4,256 total – AND that was with a $500 "discount" the mover gave me after I told him how inaccurate my quote was! My representative and I went over my inventory twice and I did not lie or omit anything. In fact, I ended up bringing LESS furniture than what was on the quotation form since none of my coffee tables would fit in my new apartment! That's 4 less glass-top coffee tables than what he quoted on my inventory and it cosy double. How can it be less furniture and cost more than double the original estimate? I have contacted them with my concerns and they did not respond.

Honestly, I had anticipated paying a little more, maybe a few hundred dollars – $750 max, but their quote was 100% off! I had to pay an additional $2,156.21. The move I made was for employment, so my employer had agreed to pay the moving costs, however, I had to have prior written approval for the total amount. So I gave them the amount Relocations R Us quoted me and they agreed to pay it. On the day of the move, not only did I not have enough money, but the movers kept pushing me to use cash instead of a personal check and money orders that my representative had told me I could use! I had to pay the difference in the quote vs actual cost completely out of pocket, which I cannot afford. Had Relocations R Us quoted me properly, it would have been covered in full by my employer since all I needed was to have prior approval from them.

Relocations R Us is either horrible at quoting moving expenses or they're in the business of lying to people. I have also voiced my concerns with the Better Business Bureau to strongly discourage others from ever getting involved with this company.

  14. Part One of the Move was Great!

We contracted with Relocation R Us for a 26-foot truck to move our stuff from California to Montana. Justin from Sacramento and his colleagues arrived on the scheduled day and began packing the truck. Everyone was courteous and professional, and very careful with our belongings. But it turned out that the 26-foot truck was nowhere near big enough to move what we wanted to move. We contacted the company and they were able to accommodate us with a second 26-foot truck the very next day - and a very fair price for the additional work on such short notice. Justin and his partner really had their work cut out for them, as the second day was moving all of the heavy furniture. And it was pouring rain all day. They stuck with it into the evening hours, and didn't stop until the second truck was full. Awesome job! The only caveat I have is that I haven't witnessed the unloading at the other end. But I am optimistic based on the loading part.

  15. Great movers, good price.

I used relocation r us to move my family from Ny to FL last month. I spoke with Sammy from start to finish and he was a really nice guy. The movers (Abraham and matt) were professional and friendly. We've used other movers before and they weren't nearly as good as relocation r us. My items went to storage for about three weeks so I was nervous they might arrived damaged. My items just got here today and everything was exactly as I left it. They said the storage was climate controlled and private which was nice. On delivery they did absolutely everything and put it all together. I couldn't have been more happy with their service. Thanks guys.
