  1. Horrible experience

    This company is an absolute scam. When I called to set up a date for my move, their salesperson sound super nice to me trying to sell me their moving service. He gave me a quote of 10,000 which is very high but I understand that these days, everything went up so I did set up the service with them. Remember, this company is not a carrier, they are only the people that hook you up with whatever carrier that they want. They will ask you to pay 33% of the deposit upfront, then 33% on the date of the pickup, and the remaining will be paid on the date of the delivery. Once you pay that very first 33%, your soul is sold to this horrible company. Their whole attitude changed, they will be super mean to you, not answering your calls, wouldn’t reply to your email when you have questions. Long story short, I was promised that the person will come on a Friday morning, but I waited all day, they never came, didn’t even answer my call. When someone finally answered the call, his reply was hey you are not our only customer ok. Then, the mover finally showed up on a Saturday morning, he quoted me 6,000 moves. So the new total is $16,000… This is ridiculous, he Threatens me by saying if you don’t agree to this then we will leave and you can’t get your 33% of deposit back. I was forced to sign that contract because I don’t have a choice. Then the big nightmare begins, once I arrived to my destination, I called them and told them to deliver my stuff, they promised that it will be 3 person unloading the stuff on the delivery and they will come on Thursday. LIE again, I waited all day, no one show up. So I called but no one answered. I have waited until Sunday, three days after what they have promised, the person that answered the phone never apologize and said you know that I can legally keep your stuff for 21 days right? This is crazy… Then finally, the truck came two days after, which is on a Tuesday. Guess what?? Only one mover was there, not three as they have promised. The only mover that showed up barely speak any English, have an attitude. He refused to move my massage chair to my room saying that it doesn’t fit and ALL of my computer desks were completely destroyed, 6 of my shelf were crashed, my expensive massage chair, bed frame, mirror, table were all damaged. (See photos) because of their careless, bad handling, and horrible packaging skill. Also, all their mover will ask you for tips at the end, so unprofessional!!! Even with their terrible service, they would even dare to ask you for tips!!! Unbelievable… When I called up their company, Safeway will tell you that they are not responsible to pay for the damages because they are just a company that sells your moving service. So I contacted the carrier and ask for only $1,000 for damaging my stuff, after 30days, they responded by saying I can only pay you $82, WTF… excuse my language but please DON’T use this company for your moving service, they are a scam!!! I am SURE all their 5 stars reviews are fake, no way it’s true… NO WAY!

  2. Long Overdue Delivery, Poor Follow-up

    I contracted with Safeway for a partial pack, cross country move and paid 40% up front. The follow-up QA call the following week resulted in a 25% cost increase, requiring additional down payment. On move day, the movers added not only an additional $1,200 worth of goods, but also charged $720 for “packing costs” increasing my total move costs to be 43% higher than the initial estimate. I asked Safeway to cover at least the packing materials on their incorrect estimate, but was told I was “making excuses” for not thoroughly reviewing the contract. I called at least weekly since the first available date, and twice a week after the first few weeks to be told they'd check status and call back. They called back maybe three times total. Nearly a month after the first available delivery date, they said it was 4-6 days from loading from storage in the origin state and that I’d get a call within that timeframe letting me know. That too came and went. They finally delivered our things 56 days after picking them up, 41 days after the first available delivery date. The delivery happened with less than the 24 hours notice we were repeatedly given, and they showed up almost 2 hours past their arrival window. A few things were lost, including a very expensive computer monitor. After filing a BBB complaint, they apologized and said they would call me, and didn’t. 17 days after their initial response and me having to reject their response to prevent my case from expiring, they called to apologize and offer a reimbursement. They wouldn’t cover the unexpected packing or shipping costs. We’re working out that reimbursement. Their claims process is yet another vendor with a paper-only submission process and 120 days to process the claim.

  3. Reliable movers!!

    The movers from Safeway movers were reliable, professional, friendly moving companies. The Movers partnered with me on every step of the process. The owner was polite and answered all my questions and emails. The moving crew was very good and worked hard to get the job done in a timely manner. I was very happy with Safeway movers. I am highly recommending them. Great Job!

  4. Unhelpful and unresponsive

    At our initial call, they seemed decent but after taking my deposit for a cross-country move (~$11,000) there was almost no communication. I called multiple times but the customer rep (J.C.) I was assigned to was unhelpful and mostly unresponsive. They seem more focused on sales rather than aiding with moves, which seemed to be the whole point of a moving broker. My items eventually came after 30+ days of waiting, albeit with some broken and missing items.

    The biggest issue is that the moving company they selected was dissolved so my claims for broken items and missing boxes will remain unresolved. According to a manager, nothing will be done on their part. I cannot recommend Safeway Moving Systems at all. In addition, after the deposit, I had to do all the legwork with the actual moving company. Safeway was just there to hire THEM.

    A side note: when I tried to get into contact with someone other than my customer rep (during the 30+ days of waiting), I was just told to call them instead (even though I couldn't get a response). I did get a callback but it was from another rep thinking I was a new customer. When they realized I wasn't, they were annoyed and hung up on me. This is part of why I say they seemed focused on sales.

  5. Highly Recommended!!

    We had a crazy positive experience during COVID!! Jason and his crew did an INCREDIBLE job of wrapping and loading my belongings. There's no way I thought it would all fit in the one truck, but it did! No wall marks to cover up from pick up or drop off no property damage, and great positive attitudes throughout. I will refer their business to everyone! I will surely recommend Safeway movers to all.

  6. Good Team!

    I am happy I chose these guys on our local move. The estimate was done with care for my fragile belongings, and the movers took even better care of my stuff. I really was worried about my piano being moved properly, but they took the time to lock down the keys and foot pedals, and all arrived just like it was when it left. Kudos to this moving crew. I am super impressed with the quality service of Safeway movers.

  7. Great Service

    We have just moved from IL to CA. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, and we were not able to be present at the delivered location before them. We were worried, but the continuous communication with the Safeway movers team made us relax. Everything went smoothly despite the circumstances. Items were well packed. My most precious item, a concert piano, was handled with extraordinary care. We are really thrilled by this service and can only highly recommend this company.

    It has been a couple of months since I was relocated by the able crew Dependable Movers. It was a breeze and smooth. I consider Safeway Moving Systems Movers as the best. I hope they will always be this fantastic. Will definitely use these guys again and refer them to my friends and family.

    Safeway movers packed and unpacked our things when we moved to NY town. The experience has been excellent with the team. They are professional, courteous, thorough, careful and work really hard to get the job done. The process of planning and booking was really easy, and they maintained good contact throughout the process. The quality of packing materials is excellent. Took great care packing ornaments and breakables. Thoroughly recommend Safeway movers.

    Safeway's lengthy Movers crew did an exceptional job packing and moving my home. They were courteous, careful, honest, and hard-working. They really went the extra mile to make sure my move went smoothly. They followed all COVID19 protocols with respect and care. If you need to move, call Safeway lengthy movers, and you will not be disappointed.

  11. Lost items

    We moved from Pittsburgh,PA to Atlanta, GA. Communications between us and employees were very bad. Most of the time they didn't receive or reply to ourcalls.

    Worst of all we have lost several boxes. And they didn't care or ignored ourcomplaints when we complained about it.

    Don't ever call this company for your moving!!!

    I feel more than just grateful about Safeway's lengthy Moving Company. Less than a week ago, I wasn't sure how I was going to move my family, which includes plenty of furniture and lots of stuff, across the bay. The movers made me feel relaxed. Thank you, Safeway movers, for creating a company that really does deliver on what you promise. You've employed and trained an amazing team, and I will be referring you to everyone! Bravo!!

  13. Great Experience

    The whole moving crew was so careful and didn't act annoyed as we pointed and asked them to move things over a 1/4 of an inch. We love working with Safeway lengthy Moving. We highly recommend them because they have such a good crew. I want to thank Gardner in customer service along with Safeway Moving. Since my daughter was very pleased with Safeway's lengthy movers during her first move, customer service made sure to assign the same movers again at my request.

  14. Use them Again!!

    Safeway lengthy movers is an A+ moving company. I have used them twice since last year to move my daughter's belongings from one apartment to another in Thomas and back home from FL to TX.. Their customer service is beyond excellent. During both moves, the quotes received over the phone were accurate and hassle-free. They were on time on both occasions and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Recommended to all.

    This is a professional and responsible team of movers. I was so impressed with their customer service and communication. Safeway lengthy Moving Forward has restored my faith in moving companies because of their great service, reliability and reasonable prices. Dealing with moving companies can be a pain, but these guys are an absolute pleasure. Do yourself a favor and call them for your moving needs. You won’t regret it. I am more impressed than I can ever tell them to all.
