  1. Be careful who you hire.

I recently hired Two men and a truck in July 2020. The two men were friendly but they were a bit slow from moving me out of my apartment. That was except by me as long as they were doing a good job. The same day I received a phone call from two men and a truck company asking me about my move, my response was it went smooth. A few days after I moved in I realize that eight of my ten glass shelves that I packed previously and had in my storage where shattered and broken. The movers dropped them that was obvious and did not tell me. I called the moving company One week later to report this incident.. In The returned email I was told should have reported this incident when I spoke to The person who called me on the same day the movers moved me in “really”. This moving company said they are not responsible because I did not report it immediately. What moving company in their right thoughts would think someone who just move into their new space would have everything completed and set up according to their timeline. I called the Moving Company and was connected with another administrator she listen to my anger not only for my property being damaged but from a worker who emailed me back telling me it wasn’t the company‘s responsibility. When I call them back because I did not hear back from this company as I was promised with the result. I was told the company wasn’t reliable. They only give you a certain amount of days. But when it comes down to this company they just want to fill their pockets regardless of their mission statement, it’s not about helping others is about helping their own self and their pockets regardless. Even if this company does not agree with my review You know they will never agree with it when you are telling the truth by a dissatisfied customer. I paid them over $1600 for moving and it was hard for them to replace my glass which cost me approximately $150 to replace. I will never use them again.

  2. The Worst Move In The World

I used Two men and a Truck in Macomb Township for 2 moves. 10/29/2021 and 11/06/2021. The second move was a nightmare. The movers arrived late. They took a break every chance they got. They did not have tools to assemble 2 queen size beds and put furniture together. They tracked dirt on the new carpet that was installed in my apartment, they also scraped paint off the bannisters and they damaged the paint on the bedroom dresser.

The movers placed boxes in the garage instead of placing them in the area's that I requested and not to mention it was a total of 8 hours to complete the job!

After a couple of days I realized I was missing a glass table and my canopy for my bed was left storage unit. My things were recovered but now a month later I am still waiting for my claims to be addressed. I have not been compensated and have sent pictures and having conversations with Mgt but they haven't resolved any of my issues at this time.

Just recently my dining room glass table cracked in half and I sent pictures to Mgt and they implied that I broke my own table. I was speechless. I have spent over 3000.00 and I can't get any customer satisfaction.

    Do Not Use This Company!

Management does not take responsibility and make excuses for their workers! Very Unprofessional.....

  3. Poor customer service

I used Two Men and a Truck In Lexington, Kentucky. The entire move was a nightmare. They charged me $2500 for two days when it should have only taken one day.

They broke 3 pieces. My move was May 17, 2021 and still have not had two of the pieces repaired. They broke an old antique stained glass window that I paid $450. They gave me $150 and thought they were going to keep it! I never cashed the $150 and they will not give me the window back. They also broke the glass to my patio table. This was 2.5 months ago and I haven’t been able to use the patio table all summer. They are negligent and do not stand up to their word. The entire move was a nightmare. Obviously I’m going to have to sue them. It will be worth the money.

I have spread the review on their Facebook and my Facebook account. Never use them. Use Wildcat Movers in Lexington, Kentucky.

  4. Long Distance Move

My wife and i moved from Northern NJ to Cincinnati and cannot say enough good things about our move. We got a good price but I was so scared after reading negative reviews about this company and ours was NOT an easy move - a lot of stuff, some heavy awkward furniture and a lot of stairs at the Cincinnati house.

Our movers - Alex P. and Kerry from the Holland, MI franchise did a fantastic job packing the truck and got in much more than i thought they would be able to. By the end of the unload, they were sweating and huffing up a storm but they never complained once the entire time. There was some minor damage on some furniture which i expected (cheap Ikea particle board stuff) but everything came through much better than i thought and some things that i was pretty sure were going to get broken came through without a scratch.

I realize that a lot of it is the luck of the draw as far as what movers you get and there are probably guys who work for this company that don't do a great job - as with every moving company, but i can't say enough good things about these two men.

I should also add that i used this same company a couple years ago for a small short-distance move (about 20 minutes away) and also had a great experience with those movers as well.

  5. Broken Granite, China. Late on delivery. Mover on phone both days.

Two Men and a Truck, Charleston, SC. 1st day crew of three VERY slow to load, one on cellphone ALL DAY. Delivery the next day hours late, 2 crew. One on phone again entire time AND smell of alcohol on breath. Driver/move supervisor Phillip dropped granite dresser top and shattered a large corner, wrote a damage claim stating damaged in transit and wanted to repair it himself but had to get the truck back. Claim denied stating the damage was done before the move! Lies! The piece was perfect and no way would someone move a piece with shattered granite. I I meticulously wrapped China and antique glassware only to unwrap and find several pieces shattered. Irreplaceable! They were so late in packing up they never did a final walkthrough and left a small dresser that I had to empty and have items shipped, which delayed my move by one day! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Unprofessional and refuse to accept responsibility for lazy work.

  6. Out of State Move.

The Charlotte, NC Two Men and a Truck movers were less than adequate; only 2 showed up at first and then a third about 3 hours later for a 3,200 s.f. home. Since we were moving to the Tampa Bay Area, they had to stay overnight and continue driving to our new home the next day but, because they didn't provide enough movers, they didn't get on the road until almost 6pm.

They didn't get far and the next day, they had almost 7 hours to drive until they arrived at our house. Then they arrived with only 2 men for the entire job and took forever because of it. They were overtired and careless with our belongings, damaging almost every piece of furniture and breaking others. They damaged our new floor, crown moldings and even our 2 king beds, both of which were dirty and one had ripples--as if they put something heavy on top. Worst of all, we called and emailed "Zach", the person in charge of handling damage claims multiple times but he just ignored them. No one answered whenever I called the office (they must have recognized my number) so I called from another number and finally got an answer. "Christy" told me to send details with pictures and I did so right away-- but still no call from Zach. I reached out again almost a week later (using a different number) and finally got a call back from Zach-- who was rude and annoyed. He said he contacted a local furniture repairman in my area who will get back to me about "all the damaged wood" in the pictures. He said nothing about the dirty and damaged mattresses, the chipped granite table, the floor or wall damage and told me if I didn't like the option he provided, it was "too bad" and at his discretion to do so. He was ignorant, unprofessional and smug.

Run, don't walk, from Two Men and a Truck (owned by franchisee "Tripp" M. Tripp" -- who's name should've been a red flag-- along with all the bad BBB reviews for this particular franchise office).

  7. Broken antique and decorative items.

Broken items and not fixed. I have to do the follow up (it's been several weeks now) to get movement. Even the, their claims department is not addressing all issues. They completely are neglecting the two (one destroyed) decorative pieces that were damaged. I was lenient on my reports of what was damaged by this team and only gave them the "big stuff" and here I am regretting that because they aren't even taking care of that!

  8. Better have a back up mover lined up cause you’ll need it.

The guys showed up On time and started loading the truck. 1/3 into the move one mover called the home office and told them that there was cat feces on the lid of one of the boxes. The next thing I see is the boys unloading the truck in my driveway. I called the office to advise them what they saw was paint from my roommate. I scratched the paint and ate it. It was paint. They still continued unloading the truck. They did However credit my 100 deposit.ButIwascharge a holdover fee by my landlord Which was more Than 10 times the amount of the move. Have a back up plan if you use them.

  9. Recent Move by North Dayton Two Men & a Truck April 11, 2020.

I discovered after the moving crew left that my dryer pedestal would not stay shut and my sleep number bed was not working properly.

I e-mailed the salesman asking if they would pay to have both items fixed. After three e-mails, I never received a reply. I called the appliance company where I bought the pedestal and was told it would cost around $250.00 to fix because of the service call charge. Two Men and a Truck said they would cover any damages up to a certain dollar amount. I got the part myself from the appliance company where I bought the pedestal for $30.00 and I was able to replace it after a struggle since I am not mechanically inclined.

I googled my sleep number bed to find out how to put it together properly so I took the sleep number bed apart and re-assembled it. It is a split king where each side of the head raise independently and the feet raise together (this function was not working). When I took it apart the one air baffle was upside down, the foam that splits the two sides was under the one air baffle so there was a lump. I did get the bed back together and it is now working properly.

I paid a lot of money to have Two Men and Truck move me and am very disappointed that they don't stand behind thier statement that they would fix any damages. I am very thankful they did not screw up my 70 inch OLED LG TV!

The crew was good but the customer service before and after sucks!! I had to move my move date because when I called to confirm the first date the gave me which was in the middle of the week as I was told it is cheaper, the salesman made the comment they could move me that day but they were really booked. With that comment I did not feel like they would take the time to move me properly so I moved to a Saturday but told the Salesman I wanted the same rate which he did give me. After the move, I never got a response to the three e-mails regarding my damages I sent.

I would not recommend Two Men and a Truck just because of the customer service before and after the move!

  10. My move went great.

The two guys came over they took very very good care Of my paintings in each one of my belongings I packed everything perfectly I had absolutely no problem they were helpful in every way it was an absolute perfect job I recommend them and will never use anyone else. Moving is hard they made it easy.

  11. Crazy Pricing.

They quoted me $22,092.50 to move a one-bedroom apartment. It was a long distance move but still! That was 5x all other quotes. Don't waste your time.

  12. Worst Move ever!!

My move occurred in November 2019 and it was one of the worst moves ever. I have moved around the country with no issues but somehow going :40 minutes away seemed too much for this company. It started with the team leader who started grumbling because we had them do some packing. The packing was haphazard and because of that we wound up with many items broken. Then as they started delivering items to our new home they didn't have any more mats and didn't have any padding for the for the banisters or doors. This lead to lots of knicks, scrapes, and scratches to the trim, doors and drywall as well as dirty white carpeting. FYI- the home had been freshly painted and carpets cleaned before we moved in.

Then when they were bringing in a large armoire that was purchased for $4000. They broke the foot off and now we have rigged up so it won't fall over. In order to get the armoire in the house, they took the garage man door off. When they were going back to the old house for another load they propped it up. Of course they forgot it was propped up and the door slammed on the ground. Putting a gouge in the wood floors and completely damaging the door lockset beyond repair.

In addition, they randomly left things out on the back patio without telling us in the middle of winter, left about 10% of our household items at the old house, threw anything they delivered later in the evening randomly into the garage and started to get a very "who cares" attitude late in the day.

To top it off they broke my 11 year old daughter's snow globe without telling us. I found out about it when I found broken glass from it on a bookshelf & in the carpet. The snow globe was no where in sight. So later that night I was lucky enough to clean up broken glass & explain to my daughter how the snow globe, which was a present from her grandmother, was now broken.

Worst of all was Justin, their million dollar sales club winner, who completely underestimated the job. This added to the stress of his workers because they had a very long day and added to the stress of my family who had to get a young girl to school in the morning. Then as they are telling us that we owe them additional $1546.18 at 10 PM at night they pull out the scare tactics. The entire crew stood around my husband in the kitchen as he discussed with Mike the increase in our bill. Mike would not leave until we put the entire amount on our credit card. He said to call Brandon, the manager to have him reduce the bill the next day. Of course, Brandon refused to reduce the bill and was very rude.

So all in all we got to pay more for a million dollar sales person to underestimate our job, for the crew to show up without the proper equipment, for items to be damaged, our home to be damaged, to listen to infighting of the crew on how best to move items, inefficient use of manpower & trucks and then to be intimidated in our own house. Though we did agree to pay them for some additional time for packing, they decided what was fair for the damages and just credited it back to card without our agreement. It wasn't nearly enough for the damages that were caused and headaches they caused. Funny part is we paid more for their terrible service than we would've paid for the full service movers we were going to go with. And just to be decent people we fed the crew & even tipped them because we felt they were put in a no win situation.

Don't be fooled by their low estimates, and their catchy slogan about "treating you like they would treat their own grandmother". I wouldn't treat my worst enemy this poorly!!

  13. Great experience!!

What a great experience. Jeff, and Andrew were awesome. The best I've ever had the privilege to have move for me. I will definitely call again when I move. They made it so easy!! It was a sad situation, but they made it fun. Very Very nice young men. Thank you from Sarasota Florida. Angie & Starr.

  14. Awful move.

    OUR MISSION
”The mission of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is to continuously strive to exceed our customers' expectations in value and high standard of satisfaction.” Instead, what happened to us was the ”Move from Hell”!

This past August, we contracted with the Shakopee, MN office of Two Men and a Truck to do our short distance move. Our problems began when only two people arrived despite the fact that we were promised 3 people due to the fact that we had some very heavy furniture.

The movers that were sent were very friendly but incredibly careless. As many movers do, they loaded some of our items in large cardboard boxes on a dolly to get them to the truck. The problem was that they paid no attention to the way things were thrown into these boxes – piling heavy items on top of lighter breakable ones. They kept assuring us that things were safe but as we found out after getting our things delivered, this was not the case.

When our property arrived at our new home, we discovered the following. A damaged antique lamp, a broken lamp, a very expensive lampshade with a deep crease in it, bent piece on another lamp, gouges and scrapes on numerous pieces of wooden furniture, a large chip out of the corner of a desk, a rip in the fabric of a dining room bench, a large tear in the bottom of our newer expensive mattress, and a number of other small issues too numerous to mention.

Next came the 4-month ordeal of trying to get things fixed through this company. In most cases they were able to find a repair person to do a reasonably good job. Our king-sized bed is no longer under warranty because they gouged holes in the mattress. The repair person cut a lousy paper-like cloth and glued it saying that was the best they would do. When it came to the bench mentioned above, we had to send it back twice. First, they patched the once pristine fabric-not acceptable. next when it was returned, it appeared the fabric had been attached to the wooden structure as if by a 5-year-old. The fabric was loosely attached to the frame and the corners stuck out in all sorts of directions. The third time it was fixed, the bench was delivered by Andrew, the store manager, who said the work had been done by professionals. The corners stuck out like noses; the fabric could be pulled away from the corners as they were so loose. There also were two small holes in the fabric. When we pointed the situation out to Andrew, he refused to even look at the bench and made the comment that they are just movers, not scientists. He became quite intransigent when we tried to get him to help and basically told us – too bad. “Some people just can’t be pleased.” (We had accepted all other repairs)

This company’s movers seem to get pretty good reviews overall, but in our case, they were apparently very poorly trained and careless as well. Further, the manager was unwilling to make sure that things were right before dismissing us. If I could give them a rating of less than 1 star, I would have done so.

So much for their Mission Statement.

  15. Moving.

The worst ever experience. The team was meant to come at 10am in the morning and sent a message late evening the previous day that they will not be able to come and no response since. My whole plan was ruined. Never ever depend on them.
