  1. Terrible Experience.

Hired Two Men and a Truck to move me and my 4 year old son to a town home in the same area from my parents place. I have never hired a moving company, but thought it would be nice for a change to not worry and have my small amount of furniture moved safely.
To start off they were an hour late. The movers in general were nice people, and did the job. They did take more breaks then I had expected though. This did not concern me too much. They broke my floor lamp, and also put a big scratch in the wall in my new home upstairs. They also dropped my armoire going down a straight set of stairs to the basement with 3 people, ripping the leg and corner where the door latches were attached, and they ripped out along with the particle board. The movers asked me to tell them the value of it, and they put it in their report. They left the armoire in the house to collapse on my son, and cat. I have been contacting the company to ask if they could remove it, and the manager there could only make me feel worse. She asked for pictures to prove that her movers did the kind of damage to it that is being said. I sent her several pictures. Then she is telling me that she wants to send someone over to try and repair it so that they don't have to pay anything for it. Then she goes on to say that they are sending someone to assess whether it is unsafe or not. It has now been over a week and nobody has come by. They were supposed to come by today, but have already told me that they can not make it due to a power outage. My partner was sitting at home waiting for them and still is. The manager blames the customer and only repeats herself about their company policies instead of trying to understand the customers situation. Don't be fooled by their claim that they will replace anything they damage. Read the fine print ($250 deductible) and be ready for the manager to try and avoid taking he blame for anything if you hire this company. It is the customers fault, because they should have known, according to their manager.

  2. Moving across town.

Based on recommendations from several friends who have used this company in the recent past, I chose to use this company for our move from the city to a suburb 15 miles away. We were moving from the second floor of an old building (high ceilings, therefore lots of stairs) and had several heavy pieces in the attic and basement as well. We had moved all our boxes in advance, so the men had only large, heavy furniture to move.
They arrived on time and, after looking at everything we had to move, got right to work. They were amazing. They were careful with everything, did no damage, and were faster than I could have imagined. At the other end, they made sure to place everything just where I wanted it, and finished the job in half the estimated time.
I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience, and would hire these guys again unhesitatingly if the need arose.

  3. Left us hanging :(.

We hired them to move just our furniture (we had moved out all of the boxes the days before), and when they showed up they said that they wouldn't move in sand! There was never any questions asked of us, they never visited the site prior; we were only moving 7 houses down. So on "move day" they drove in and then out, leaving us to fend for ourselves. We had to be out of the house that day, and scrambled to find friends at the last minute to help us get the big stuff out. If we could do it, they certainly could have. Very unprofessional, we were lucky enough to have friends to help us that day or we would have been out even more money to the new owners of our home.

  4. Unacceptable.

We have tried to handle this differently but that didn't work so now we will just send out a warning!! We recently hired Two Men and a Truck to handle our move and considering we have moved more than 10 times in our military career this was extremely upsetting and we have NEVER experienced this issue. The price for this move was about $3,000!! Prior to the move we repeatedly asked them if they wanted to see the house and gave them the specifics of our house. They arrived at 9 am and my husband was still there helping them load and unload after midnight. They ran out of boxes pretty early in the day and they began to wrap my containers without securing the items inside. We did discuss this with them, but no changes were made. (We were up against a deadline since we were closing on our house.) Since they did not bring a big enough truck they had to unload it into the storage unit and then come back which caused delays and added to the cost. We saw many items simply set into the truck including the large bedroom mirror leaning up against a kitchen chair without being wrapped or protected in any way. (We have plenty of pictures including the inside of the truck immediately prior to driving off where it looks like things were thrown in if you need proof.) Since they did not finish loading everything from the house, my husband and I had to pack and load many items including bookcases at 6 am the next morning. Once in the storage unit (where they unloaded) I found my bathroom towels and rugs in a heap on the floor. My bedroom furniture drawers were not wrapped and they have been stacked on each other with metal stands leaning against them. The art work from our house is stacked in the dresser drawers unwrapped and unprotected. So far we have found four broken pictures, but can only see so far into the unit.
We were there the entire time and were asking about how it was being handled. No real response or concern. We had been assured that they had it all covered and there would be no problem completing the move in one day. Since this did not happen the closing on our house had to be delayed and my husband and I had to cancel work to finish the move. We had hired someone to clean the house prior to the new owners taking possession, but since my husband and I were still loading furniture and DRAWERS of items they had missed the cleaning had to be cancelled. (We had to do it after loading our furniture into my van and a trailer borrowed from a neighbor.) We have attempted to deal with the company and the owner said he cannot refund some of our money but will give us a discount when they move it to our new home. Due to the way it was packed and put into storage, I am very worried about what we will find when it arrives at our new home. I feel like we are being held hostage by this company because if we hire someone else they will be able to say that the other company caused the damage. I guess the best I can do is provide warnings. We have many pictures some I have posted on Facebook and some I have not. I am truly heartbroken that this happened. We have many boxes of pictures, memories, awards and military memorabilia that I am dreading have been damaged. We have never filed a complaint on a mover in all of our moves. Yes, we have had things broken, but that kind of comes with the territory. This was a very different issue and I hope we can save someone else what we have gone through with this company.

  5. Failure to settle damage claim.

In February, 2018 this company moved my household belongings from storage in Orlando, Florida to Roswell, Georgia. They had also packed and moved my household into the storage facility previously. Everything was handled from start to finish by this company. There was extensive damage to my furnishings, etc., partially due to the packing prior to storage and also due to the mishandling of furniture, etc. The company held back furnishings on this portion of the move that had been severely damaged for repairs in the Orlando area. (These items were not delivered to me until late April.) The moving company rep sent someone to my home to assess the damages. Thereafter, I sent an email to the company summarizing damages and requesting to receive the remaining furniture in order to conclude the move. I was told that the general manager in Orlando, Mark Coffey, would only approve 3 items for repair from the list prepared by their furniture repair consultant. I was also notified that I had only "96 hours after the move" to report damages. The move was concluded in late April. Even though I had purchased $40,000 in replacement value coverage, I still have not received any type of settlement from this company. In dealing with this General Manager, I felt that he showed a great lack of customer relations skills, a lack of integrity and a lack of honesty. There were many claims made from the company that were not followed through. If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would.

  6. Moving.

We had an awful experience with this company. We had a chest of drawers broken down the side from top to bottom, 4 kitchen chairs with all the tops scratched up, my child’s antique bed scratched up, and some other minor things they offered us $144 for all the damages and just to replace the chest of drawers was $200 I would never recommend them for any type of move.

  7. My Worst Every Experience With A Mover.

Estimate was done over phone - no one ever sent out. Moving crew requested additional help and was refused. Estimate was low, ended up being charged double and move was incomplete - items left in home and had to hire another mover to complete the move.

Very poor company - horrible customer service!

  8. Whole house move.

Three men and a truck showed up on time, one man feel ill and two more men showed up to replace him. A very heavy piece of furniture had to be moved from the basement and these guys handled it with ease. All furniture was well protected. Nothing but coodoes for these guys. Great Move!

  9. Don’t use this company.

Do not use this company. They are completely unprofessional, rude and totally unreliable. Our initial time wad screwed up. Despite having a written estimate with the correct time, they told us our move was scheduled for 1:45pm. We made this reservation a month ago and put down a deposit. We were moving out on the last day of our lease. After several back and forth calls, we finally get their manager Calvin on the phone and he tells us that he cannot lower our rate despite this error now costing us more money because it would take longer. He agrees to take $12 off per hour and we agree and thank him. 5 minutes later he has his assistant call us to cancel our move!! When we get him back on the line he has the nerve to tell us he didn’t like our tone and he didn’t want his guys coming to move us and us giving him a bad review. Not sure where he gets his logic from or how he thinks leaving us completely out in the cold is better than a delayed move. Also, how are you feeling insulted when the mistake is clearly your fault? This particular manager is unprofessional and immature and shouldn’t be running a company. Do not use this company. Especially not the one in Chamblee GA.

  10. Awful Service.

I am very disappointed in the service I just received. For lack of words, 2 men and a truck has screwed me over. I am planning to move to California (from MI) for work within the next few weeks or so. I made it very clear to the company that I was moving far and had almost an exact count of what I had. I contacted 2 men and a truck and received a quote for $1,700. I called later on to have this verified once more. I am a college student, I would not have taken this service any further if it were any more of a cost. Someone even came out to quote me and gave me the same value of $1,700. Feeling reassured, I booked my flights, and other corresponding transfers for my big move. Upon booking, 2 men and truck finally called me back with my pick up date..the new quote was $17,000. They apologized over the phone for they had miscalculated. I am wondering how such a "reputable" company miscalculates by $15,000. They had given me the quote of $1,700 for about 3 weeks. I had to find another company to move my things (Pods), who charged $2,000. Since I contacted them so late, thinking 2 men and a truck had my stuff, my stuff will be arriving long after I do. I have a family. My family, including my dog, can not live without a bed, and basic utensils for a few weeks. I have no choice but to spend more money when I arrive in California to hold my family over until my stuff arrives now. I planned my whole move around this company, while being reassured about my $1,700 quote MULTIPLE times, just to have them miscalculate by $15,000.

  11. Damaged Furniture.

I hired Two Men and A Truck to move my furniture from my home to a storage unit in December 2017 and informed them I would need there services to move out of the storage unit to a place in Buckhead once I found one. I contacted John Kupersmith via email, and phone and never received a response when it was time for me to move out of the storage. Since I did not hear from Two Men and A Truck, I hired another company. As we went to the storage unit to begin the move out I noticed several of the pieces from the dining room that had been damaged. The top portion of the Excelsior Design's china cabinet had damage to the top on both sides (pieces of the veneer had been torn off) and the right side lower veneer had been completely split and was peeling off. There are nicks on the buffet and the table. I sent these photos to Mr. Kupersmith and have yet to hear from him or his company regarding the repair or any form of compensation for the damage.
This is why the moving industry has such a terrible reputation. The cost to move was more than quoted, I tipped the movers more than most not knowing my furniture had been damaged. Now that I have an issue John Kupersmith is not willing to accept the responsibility or be professional and respond as a business should. I would never recommend them, solely on the unprofessional manner in which they are handling the problem. I know the furniture was heavy and know accidents happen but how a company conducts themselves in this type of situation makes the difference. I was not expecting a replacement, just some form of acknowledgement and cost of repair. I will know better next time and use some other company, I would suggest anyone contemplating using Two Men and A Truck from the Collier Rd. location, rethink their decision.

  12. Recent move.

I can't even give this company one star, they broke and damaged numerous items. I requested and paid for two large screen TV boxes however the movers did not even show up with the TV boxes, yet I still had to pay for them. They damaged my brand new TV, I provided them a receipt to evidence it was brand new, photos of the damage they caused, spoke with Jeremiah the Ops Manager who led me to believe for a week the item would be repaired or replaced.. I never heard from him again until I contacted them only to find out that they offer .60 per pound which would be about $12.00 for the TV in question. The fact that I requested them to box my TV's and paid for the boxes didn't matter, they also threw in my face that I signed a document when the movers left that there was no damage, which is clearly unreasonable (how would you inspect all of your belongings by the time the movers leave). I recommend you avoid this company at all costs as they don't care about your belongings and are not honest about the process to resolve issues. I also had my belongings packed on a truck and held for two days later and the movers made sure I knew that the tip was only for the work they completed on the move out day and that the tip on move in day was separate.

  13. My move.

From the quote request to moving day, I have never felt more confident of a vendor choice. The team was professional, helpful and efficient. The price was much lower than other companies and the service was greater. I would recommend them to anyone needing help moving.

  14. Great company.

From everyone in the front office to the 3 men who did the move, lee, mark, and brandon, thank you all for being so honsert, caring, and everyone acting like pro's. You arrived early, finished early. And saved me money.all of our things were in excellent sharp, after your company was thu. Thanks again for a such a worry free move. Keep up the great job you are all doing. And when ever anyone asked me , who they should use for a mover, I am going to tell everyone, don't use anyone but two men and a truck.

  15. Never us Two Men and a Truck!

The movers who were sent out destroyed one of my items. I was offered compensation less than 1/8th of what the item is worth or none at all. The movers destroyed a $470.00 oversized bean bag(brand: Sumo, model: Titanium) when attempting to move it down stairs. They did not wrap it in cellophane of a moving blanket as they did other items. They attempted to throw it off a second story balcony in order to circumvent carrying it downstairs. The cover ripped as they were hoisting it over the side and the foam inside spilled out everywhere. They didn't even clean all of it up! The movers assured me I would be compensated for the damage to my property. The item is ruined and unusable so I wanted full compensation. They took the item with them after the move and said they would be in contact. I waited a week and had no response form them so I called them and at first they told me that since the item did not have a cover on it that they would not be compensating me. I told them that was unacceptable and the representative said he would call me back after he conferred with his supervisor. I waited a day for another call which I did not receive so I called back myself. They rep told me they were willing to give me $51.00 total which is .60 cents per pound for my loss. I told them that was unacceptable and asked to speak to a manager. Again none were available. I was told I will be contacted again later in the day but I was not. I intend to keep following up until I reach my desired outcome.
