  1. Totally agree.

I totally agree with all the negative reviews on this company! I have moved at least 7 times in my life so far, but this is the worst company to work with. They never moved our stuff because they never showed up, nontheless we never got our deposit back and because of them we incurred extra costs for not being able to move out the day we were supposed and the new tenants could not move in. We also had to show up for work at new location and had to stay at a hotel for 2 weeks until we made arrangements for new moving company. And Jason was the worst. He left us hanging!

  2. Run ? Run ? Run.

Nightmare. I already posted a review about our nightmare move, which involved sheer incompetence, greed, lying, and [EDIT].

We filed a complaint with the BBB and Excalibur agreed to an $800 refund for the packing materials they charged for but did not provide. When I reached out to turn to organize the refund they hung up on me dozens of times during business hours, laughed at me, gave me the run around, and once put me on hold for 2+ hours when I was still naive enough to think they gave a [EDIT]. We ended up doing a partial chargeback but they are the lowest of the low.

  3. Go with another company. Any other company.

Excalibur quoted us a price, showed up on moving day and more than doubled it. They took our things, promised a reasonable delivery date, and then kept them for weeks longer than they had said. When we called to express our frustration our phone calls were ignored and unanswered 90% of the time. When we DID get somebody on the phone they made it clear that they could not care less about us or our things.

When they finally brought our stuff the truck was stuffed so full that I could see how squished and damaged my possessions were from inside the house. They broke serving dishes, a smart TV, a classic gameboy, damaged both of our dressers, stole one of our boxes of liquor and left us a bit of somebody else's clothing. While the movers were here they also asked me, a homeowner who they don't know, if I could tell them if a few mystery items were mine or not. They didn't know. Who knows. It amounted to a few boxes, a guitar, and a very broken mirror. They weren't mine so I told them so, but what if I weren't honest and wanted a guitar?! After that the movers explained that they were mixed up because their truck had been stopped by the police and searched for drugs the night before. They showed me pictures. I wish I was lying, but I'm not creative enough to make this up.

When I try to call to see how I can file for compensation on my broken, damaged, and stolen things, how I can get this bin back to its proper owner, and maybe to follow up on our movers possibly being drug mules, no answer. Of course.

Don't use Excalibur. If you're going to move a long way and are considering going with them for your moving needs, instead just collect all your stuff in a big pile and light it all on fire. You'll be less stressed out for less time.

If you want pictures of my things, how broken and squashed it all showed up, I'd be glad to share, just drop me a comment.

If you were the move with KP0632 Blue stickers, also contact me! I'd like to get you your stuff back.

  4. The base insurance rate is practically worthless.

We used Excalibur for a move from Little Rock, AR to Reno, NV. Other than the customer service that was provided when we deciding which mover to use, there was very little to recommend them. They arrived in Reno about a week and a half after we did, they charged far more than they estimated (though we were very careful when listing our items), and they broke one of the shifters on my bike and tore up the handle bar wrapping. It cost about $260 to fix, but they only paid $15 when I filed a claim. Apparently our stuff was insured by weight PER EACH ITEM. That is, of course, ridiculous since small items are often worth far more than 60 cents a pound and it basically gives them a free pass to damage whatever they want. I don’t know if they are better or worse than other moving groups, but the lesson I learned was that if there is any way to move your stuff on your own, you should do it. Even if a U-haul costs about the same, at least you will be in control of what happens to your stuff.

  5. Run horrible company.

  6. Moved from Oregon to California.

I have used moving companies & brokers many many times before. This broker is by far the worst. I have been trying for almost a year to get my goods back but no luck. I should have done my homework and read the reviews. They were quite nice before I sign the moving contract. Once my household goods were in their processions, they toyed with me. They waited until they had another delivery in California to combine mine with the order delivery. So that pushed my date out to six weeks later. I had to go buy & borrow household items. My husband and I had two suitcases of clothes each to live on. About a dozen boxes were crushed and all the boxes were soaking wet from sitting outside in the rain before they loaded them, my desk had cracks, , my $3k bike was missing, along with four boxes, two expensive floor lamps and a leather chair. My husband made calls and file reports before my bike was returned. And that took about five weeks. Customer Service was no help, refused to help as they say they are a broker only and not responsible for the moving company itself. I filled a police report but that got buried under more crucial cases, which I understand. The rest of the missing goods, I have to give up on them. The most valuable box I can not replace had my children’s photo albums along with my deceased father’s Army photos. I hope they get shutdown quick before another family have to go through turmoil.

  7. Liars thieves and thugs.

Do not use this company. I made that mistake January 2018 and to this day have yet to receive my goods. Oh they talk a good game.. sign you and then you might as well just give your belongings to Goodwill you'd have a better chance of buying them back. Once they have possession of your belongings they try to extort you for more money. Then they pillage every box that you have. They have no regard for your belongings they will be returned to you broken busted basically trash. I will not rest till each and every one of them is in prison for what they've done. My belongings are gone.. if I can speak out and warn somebody else before they get a chance to do it to someone else again. And I hope they lose everything they have just like they did to each and everyone of us. They don't believe the hold on to your belongings while you're doing prison time.

  8. Runnay From This Company.

I wish I had read the reviews before hiring this company to move 1bed apartment from Houston to NY - it is NOT a moving company but only a broker, that promise things that will never happen and once you pay them and have your stuff picked up, there is nothing also they will do for you to guarantee that you will have a good experience or even get your move delivered on the 21 business window promised. I could understand if there was delay or anything that happens, but they actually don't answer your phone anymore, don't reply to emails and don't really care. At this moment, I'm trying to deal directly with the moving company that actually is doing the job to see if I still can get my move within the time promised. Working with Excalibur was the worst experience ever, don't hire. I wish I was informed since the beginning that they are a broker and not actually taking care of your move. Seriously, I suggest to pay more and just don't deal with this company. When I read the reviews (unfortunately only after I had closed the deal), despite all the bad reviews, there were few good reviews and I was hoping I would be the lucky one to have a normal experience. But everything written in the bad reviews is and I will never hire this company again and my suggestion for you is: runaway from them.

  9. Move from Fort Wayne, IN to Sharps Chapel, TN.

There is not a choice of ZERO stars. DO NOT use this company..DO NOT!! Find someone else to arrange your move. Other than having cancer, this was the worst experience of my life. They seem so nice and helpful until they have your money and before the move. Once they have your money and the move is complete (even before the move is complete) they will not answer their phones. They have a 24 hr customer service number that they NEVER answer. If you leave a message DO NOT expect to receive a return phone call. It won't happen. This company Excalibur and the company they booked our move with, American United Vanlines, are both the most unscrupulous companies that I have ever worked with. Our shipment had to go to storage ($1200.00 per month) and then was delivered to the house we are building. I have never seen so many ripped, crushed and battered boxes. Our furniture was broken and damaged. This was our 10th move and we have never experienced anything like this. There is no customer service and believe me they will not care one thing about your household goods. They demand the last payment in cash or Postal Money Order. That is because they know you would never willingly pay to have your goods destroyed. They took the money and walked out once the goods were off the truck. We had to hire someone to move the boxes where they were supposed to go. Also, they use bait and switch on their pricing for the move. They quoted us a price after receiving an accurate inventory. When they came to our house and had already started putting things on the truck they said the move price was almost doubling. They literally held our goods hostage until we agreed to pay the higher price. They also stole our computer and printer and everything that was packed in manufacture boxes. We have filed complaints with DOT and FBI. HORRIBLE experience, horrible company!! Not sure how these scam artists sleep at night. Our ending move price was almost $14,000.00. We started with a quote of almost $8000.00 BEWARE..DO NOT USE!!

  10. Horrible!!

DO NOT USE! or experience with Excalibur Moving Group was horrible. Moved from MD - CO and major of our son's household goods where damaged! A toy hauler showed up with his items and they REFUSE to return calls or emails to pay for damage! RUN AS FAST AND FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!!

  11. Ghastly experience.

I wish I would have read the reviews for this garbage company. Since I did not, I have joined the massive group of people who have been ripped off by Excalibur. I paid a down payment (huge mistake) got tons of promises from Jason Cardone, who is no longer available by phone. The company is only a broker, so it's probably just a few people sitting in a room with a couple phones. No one showed up to pick up my stuff. I was told that no one would be coming! How is it possible that the state of Florida has not shut down this obvious scam of a company. I have been trying to get my down payment back, but it looks more and more like I never will. I realize I bear some responsibility for this. Everyone I have spoken to there talks and sounds like a con artist and I have discovered that this is definitely the case. Do yourself a favor and spend more and get a real moving company who will do what they say.

  12. Won't Provide Refund.

If I could do 0 stars I would. I called the company July 13th to get a refund. I was told that the refund would take 21 days to get and that it would come to me as a check. I have called them multiple times about the refund after the 21 day period was done. I was told many different times that the refund would be sent out on Friday (08/17/18, 08/24/18 and 08/31/18). By September 20th the company quit taking my phone calls. It is now October 29th and the only way I can get a hold of them is by using other people's phones. I now call every other week. Once I tell them my name I am put on hold and I usually hang up after 40 minutes. At this point I do not think I will ever get a refund back and that this company IS A SCAM! PLEASE STAY AWAY AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

  13. Fraudulent your move would cost 2x$ the original quote.

The sales guys are from a different planet and they would say anything to get your order and when they pick your items they will charge you a leg and arm . And you will be left with no choice but to pay them at that moment . So you should consider $x 2 in addition to what they originally quote you. Unfortunately I had to go with them for 2 of my moves and this is final- I would not recommend them for anyone else. This is day time robbery, I don’t know if I can register a case against them.

  14. Horrible.

My mom thought she was hiring them to move her from Florida to Colorado. When the movers showed up (two days late) it was a completely different company. Excalibur did not explain they where only a broker. After months of fighting with both Excalibur and the company they took her belongings, she finally got her stuff two months later. The moving company that moved her furniture was Pac-N-Go. Come to find out this is two guys who run a want to be moving company out of an apartment. The people who unloaded the moving truck where hired off craigslist. My moms belongings where thrown on the truck and almost everything is destroyed. We have over 100 pictures of my moms stuff that’s broken or has holes in it. We will be hiring a lawyer to try and get some money back with hopes this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Please for your own sanity to do not go through this company. They will not help you and they do not care what kind of individuals they hire to move your “life” across country.

  15. Charged without service.

When booking through this broker I discussed with them the needs of my move. I informed them of the absolute deadline that I would need to be out of my old apartment. He then told me that they would set a pick-up window for my belongings that would include the final move out date. I agreed. Two days before the move I received an update call stating that everything was on time at ready to go. On the day of my move, the movers called and stated they were backed up on another move. I informed them that my lease was up and this move had been arranged over a month earlier. They stated there was nothing they could do. They never showed up but still charged me over 800 dollars in fees. I continuously tried to call a supervisor or some representative of the company. No one would answer. They took my money then ignored my calls. I submitted a dispute with my bank. However, Excalibur furnished a copy of a cancellation policy. I never canceled. Excalibur did not show up!
