  1. Scammer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY PROMISE YOU EVERYTHING AND DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORD. THEY DO NOT..EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY THEY WILL..REFUND DEPOSITS!

  2. Bad move.

Cannot believe this company is still in business!! Worst moving company ever!! Like all the other bad reviews quote low price then triples when they get there!!

  3. Terrrible UNRELIABLE Company.

Contracted move from Mass to Georgia.
Cost estimate was done 2 separate times. Pictures included Estimate was around $10,000. The move was scheduled for 9a-12p on Sat 9/23/18. By 12pm no movers showed up and no phone calls. We were unable to contact anyone at 1st Call.until around 2pm. A dispatcher informed me the truck has brokendown and likely unable to arrive. I informed the dispatcher that I was upset that no one called me of the, nor was there any way to contact 1st Call. The Dispatcher promised the truck would be there possibly sunday, definitely Monday and he would call me. He did not call. The truck did not arrive until Tuesday 9/25 after 2pm ( more than 48hr from contract guaranteed time). The first thing the movers said was how much they suggest I give them for a tip. The next conversation with the movers was informing me that the newly recalculated move would cost around $14000. It was like a hostage situation. My closing was less than 24hr away so I was stuck. (plus they already had my down payment upfront).
The movers were very efficient. They worked beyond midnight till around 2am, Wed 9/26. They informed me that they were done and were closing up the truck to leave when my wife noticed that they had left half of our storage room items behind. The Truck was not full. I had to have an argument with the shift boss/manager to get them to finish the job. They did. and then left. But they left a lot of cut up tape and padding boxes that we had to clean up in order to have the house ready for the scheduled closing.
Furniture delivery was also a disaster. The promise from the original salesperson was that delivery would not take more than a week. While I was now stuck in Georgia in a house with no furniture, after multiple phone calls to !st Call Relocation, they kept changing my delivery date. I did not get my furniture until 10/20/18. When it was delivered most of my Henredon dining room chairs (which were wrapped in blankets by the movers) were damage with mold and severe water staining. When removed from the truck the blankets were wet. This was pointed out to me by the movers (a different team) because they wanted to let me know that they did not do this. The truck must of had a hole in the roof and during the month long stay in the truck, it rained and led to ruining the set. The following day I unwrapped the 65" LED TV that they delivered and the screen was cracked.
After unwrapping and emptying all of the boxes I contacted 1st Call to file a claim. They told me I had 60 days to file. I sent pictures of the damaged items. They said they take up to 120 days to respond. I waited. I called back in June and after a very rude and condescending person that lectured me on what I would be reimbursed for (Now is when I was told about the $0.60/pound reimbursement for damages) and it calculated out to about $350. Note; never was the insurance coverage on the move told to me to be based on weight alone. It was always feferred to as a value based amount. Replacing the TV cost me $1800. I found the same dining room chairs used on Ebay and that cost me $1400. Anyhow I was told a check would come to me on June 15 ("checks get sent out on the 15th"). June 15th has passed and so has July 15th. I have never received any checks. I am now currently trying to call 1st Call Relocations. I have probably called their main office, sales and consumer help numbers more than 20 times. Someone once picked up the phone and immediately hung up. Otherwise no one has answered the phone at any of the advertised phone numbers. I get an answer machine; It instructs you to leave a message. I always do. To date no one has called me back. I always call from the same phone number and leave my name and account number in my messages. Worst business experience I have ever had. I have recently found similar complaints as mine on the BBB website. Someone should be able to hold them accountable and shut down this company. It would also be.

  4. Terrible company.

Terrrible company. They force you after signing online with a low estimate, then use every way to get extra money from you because you paid 1500 online. Too many promises that will not happen. Not professional, do not answer phone calls or emails, even insulting answers. Late for delivery date and require you to file a claim (only after the delivery), no answer after 5 months. Do yourself a favor, and never hire this company, very bad on all aspects.

  5. Scam do not use!!

This company quotes one price increases the price by 110% and damages your property and doesn't honor the claim forms. PLEASE DO NOT USE!!

  6. This is a scam!

Do not hire this horrible company. They are a scam company that uses a lot of fake reviews.

We lost thousands of dollars and belongings through first call and I hope to save you from doing the same thing.

There are numerous hidden fees and charges. Expect to spend a lot more than quoted, even if they "lock you into a price". They subcontract all their pick ups and deliveries so the people you meet will conveniently have no idea what your talking about as far as agreements with first call. Communication with first call will disappear after they get your deposit.

Our furniture took 46 days to arrive. We were quoted 5-10 days. Many things were broken or missing when it arrived and we were told we had to pay more to get the furniture from the truck to the house ( about 30 feet). Anything missing or stollen will not be reimbursed because of the language in the contract (.60 cents / pound of item, but nothing is weighed. )
I sincerely hope this company doesn't get the chance to take advantage of your family too. I'm honestly surprised our stuff showed up at all.

  7. My worst move.

We moved from Weston,fl to Oak Park, CA. Start of the move wasn't good. They made me sign on the paper which has price amount $5000 more than what I was quoted on after filling in the truck. It was 9/8/2018. Stuff got delivered to house on 9/27/2018 at CA. Immediate reaction was my curved 60" TV was broken, office funiture table, brand new Trademill of $2500, carpet were missing. I made several calls but no replay. Filed a claim on 10/8/2018. Waited for 120 days and even more but no reply. Everytime left voice msg, sent emails no reply. Even today customer service was supposed to forward my call to claims director but nothing happened , they disconnected the phone.

I WOULD NEVER NEVER NEVER WILL RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

  8. I do NOT recommend it! fail to fulfill the sales and service's promise.

We move form Florida to Texas, during packaging day it was “normal” even they said it was more than they had estimate so we had to re negotiate with them.
They delivered on the frame time accordingly… but here is where everything started going WRONG and they just do not care… as long as you paid them…
We received furniture damaged, scratches, bumps and missing staff (a file cabinet, a floor lamp base, and a tv stand legs) among others things.
    1. In their promise is that they assembly the furniture and beds… guess what? They did not assembly our beds we had to paid extra to somebody to do it.
    2. We received someone else box and immediately I told the driver and crew leader that it did not belonged to me, and guess what? He did not care at all, he checked the sticker and told me is the same but it is not mine… he just left it in here.
    3. As their protocol, instructions or process told us I established a claim for the damages, missing staff and reporting having belongings not ours on September 26th 2018 and they supposed to have up to 120 days to solve a claim and give response and compensate the proper way. Guess what? They have not answer! on January 13th we did a follow up… a week before the due of 120 days and their answer was that they have received the claim and the official date is January 13th 2019!!

I have all the emails where their employee answer me he has the claim and he forwarded to the claim department on September 26th 2018 and that does not count!!

    Can you believe it??
They have not contact me neither to recover the other person’s belongings, I did contacted him and notify that I have his staff … so far nobody from the company has showed me they care about their costumers and satisfaction.

PLEASE, DO NOT HIRE THEM!! I TOTALLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!

  9. Scam company!

This company us a complete scam, stay far, far away! I made a deposit to move me belongings from MO to AZ. they gave me a two day window fir the move. They did not arrive on either of those days. They arrived in the afternoon of the third day, after I closed on the sale of my home and had to be out. They immediately wanted to double the initial quote, which was already way to high to begin with. I refused to pay the extra and they left. Thankfully they never loaded my stuff on the truck. They still refuse to return my deposit although they did not meet the terms if our contract. I've filed a complaint with the FMCA abd the attorney general and want to warn everyone not to use this company!

  10. Worst experience.

Me and my husband were moving from LA to Texas. When I called this company to get a quote, I was asked to list all furniture/appliances, so I did. I got a quote and we decided to go with this company. On the day of the move, the guy comes in and says we might have to pay extra money. I told him we listed everything and the boxes were less than quoted. He said you can call the customer care and they can adjust the price but the customer care was closed at that time. He said you can sign the documents now call later which I shouldn't have done but I had no option since all our stuff was there in their truck. So I decided to sign and call them later. We tried to call the next few days but no response. Our representative was Max. Me and my husband left couple of voice msgs but no response.
Only good part was they delivered it on the day they promised but not inside our home though. I got a lot of msgs from the delivery guy saying if there is no parking space for their truck then I might have to play $700 extra for transport, extra for walk and so on. They were charging $700 extra for the walk to the apartment. Their free 50 ft walk is just a few steps according to them. Our representative told us if you have elevator it shouldn't cost you extra. But when delivery guy comes in its a whole different story. Our quote was $2000 plus they charged extra $400 for the package materials and according to them exceeding the weight and now they were asking $700. We decided to not to pay extra so they dropped it at the parking garage. Me and my husband moved everything from the parking garage to our home.
So I would say, be careful when you sign their documents And read very carefully everything that's on their paper. They talk sweet only till they get the deal and after its hard to reach them.

  11. Do not use.

My husband and I had a terrible experience with First Call Relocations. Throughout the entire process, we were extremely disappointed with the service we have received. From the day that our stuff was supposed to be picked up, everything has been chaotic, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I would never use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.
Once we determined that we would go with First Call Relocations and paid the initial deposit, we never heard from the salesman again. Despite calling and emailing him and other departments multiple times, we never got a response. Finally, we received a call telling us that the movers would be at our house to pick up our stuff on 9/29, with a backup date of 9/30 if something happened. We were told that the backup date was rarely used, and that the movers would give us a call 2 days before to finalize the date they would be there.
We never received a call stating when or what time our stuff would be picked up. We were told the dispatch department or drivers would contact us 2 days before our stuff would be picked up, but neither of them did. We called multiple times in an attempt to determine when our stuff would be picked up but had no response. No one ever called us back. We had to wait at our house for 2 days straight hoping that the drivers would actually show up on one of the two days we were told. Finally, the drivers showed up to our house in the late afternoon on 9/30, which was the backup day. They charged us an additional $2057 over the amount that we were quoted because they stated we had more things that needed to be moved, we were charged for stairs, and we were charged for materials that were used in packaging that we never asked to be used. At this point, they had all of our belongings, so we had no other choice than to pay them the additional money.
We gave First Call Relocations 20 days of notice as to when we needed our stuff delivered. We were told from the beginning and each time we spoke with dispatch that as long as we were able to give 7-14 days notice, we would have our stuff. However, the dispatch department told us on four separate occasions that we would have our stuff, only to call us back days later and say that it will no longer be arriving and they could not give us another date of when to expect our stuff to arrive. We would continually call the dispatch department for clarification and to see when our stuff would actually be delivered, but they refused to return our countless phone calls. Every time we were given a date by dispatch, we were told that we would get a call 2 days prior to confirm. Each time, we would not receive any call and would call First Call Relocations to get an update. This was extremely frustrating and expensive, as we had to keep extending the lease with our apartment and had to change plans with work every single time we got a new date. There was no communication. Finally, my husband called on 1/22 and someone in dispatch stated that our belongings would be coming on 1/24. He asked if this was confirmed since he had been told this multiple times and dates before, and they said yes. He asked what time the truck would be arriving, and they said they had no way of telling us when it would arrive. Finally, on 1/24, we received our belongings. They did not unpackage any of the extra packaging that they had put on themselves, and they did not put anything back together that they had taken apart to save space. They also lost a bookshelf. Once the movers finished, my husband paid the amount that the driver stated was due. The next day, 1/25, the driver called us stating that he told us the wrong amount and was charging us $1000 more than what he had said previously. He called us repeatedly until my husband agreed to pay the amount once the driver showed him the corrected invoice. We did not know what else to do besides pay them so that we could have our belongings again and get this nightmare over with.

  12. Extortion.

We were given a bid from Mark Wallace for $5700 after walking through our house giving him a description of all furniture, etc.. When the truck arrived we were told the cost would be $12,000 !!.

Pay now in cash or they would leave. I spoke with Tyler on the phone and was told to pay now in cash or the truck would move on to the next assignment. If we had an issue it should be taken up with customer service.

We had to be out of the house that day so we had no alternative but to pay. Subsequent calls and emails to the comapny have been stone walled for 3 months. I will continue my quest to recover my money.

  13. Nightmare Moving Company.

If I could, I'd give them a -5 Stars. They don't deserve one! Their name should be changed to NEVER CALL RELOCATIONS. I cannot begin to describe the horrors working with this company and recommend anyone who wants a reputable moving company to check on the moving.org website. If you don't find the company's name in their list, run! It took me TWO months to get my furniture from these people, all while making payments on an empty storage unit! The real one-star reviews below are the truthful ones and these stories don't even compare to the ordeal they put me through. Where do I begin? They are rude, have despicable customer service, pull a bait-and-switch routine, claim you have "too much stuff" and inform you they need another truck with another huge fee, after which they don't even load half the items on the well-outlined list (and I included measurements!). In addition, they know how to stay within federal regulations by charging an excess exactly the 110% for what? Moving less than contracted? Really? The nerve! I have never seen such criminal activity! They are con artists, employing the right buzzwords conmen use. They then turn it on you and make it sound like YOU are being unreasonable because YOU want an idea when they will deliver your furniture as if it is a crime to want a timeline! The demands they make are beyond believable, only interested in money. No one answers the phone. It is interesting that the same voices identified under other names. A true criminal outfit. And a warning to their so-called customer service (non-service personified!): Don't dare come back on here and make excuses and act all innocent with your con artist lingo. It will not fly. The only thing that will make me happy is a FULL refund. I put my life on hold for two months! TWO MONTHS! But they don't care. Anyone who wants the complete story, please contact me.

  14. Great Service.

I recently used this company for a move from NY to FL and they did a phenomenal job. The team was professional, on time and did a great job overall I recommend this company!

  15. Do not use this company.

I hired First Call Relocation Company to move all of my belongings including my car and motorcycle from Los Angeles, California to Buffalo, New York. Upon arrival to my home in Buffalo, New York, both my car and motorcycle were damaged along with a majority of my large furniture. All of my furniture was purchased brand new in April, 2018 and was damaged during the move in July 2018. When my car was delivered it had 2 dents and paint scrapes on my hood. My motorcycle had countless areas of damage including broken mirrors, dented fender, scraped and dented fuel tank and more. Our furniture was dented, smashed, cracked, chipped and unsalvageable. 2 days prior to receiving our shipment, we were informed by a semi-truck driver who was driving our shipment from New Jersey to Buffalo, that the semi-truck had been involved in an accident. We have immediately contacted First Call Relocation and filled out an extensive claim form. First Call informed us that it can take up to 120 business days for the claim to be reviewed. The 120 day mark was January 9th, 2019 and we have since then contacted the company asking for an update on our claim. We have not received anything. Between the receipts of all of our brand new and purchased furniture, our car and motorcycle we are totaling roughly 10,000 in damages. We have photos and receipts of our furniture as well as photos of our car and motorcycle before the move. We were originally quoted $6,600 total to move our belongings and vehicles. The day of the move, we were told it would be an additional $2,400 after our belongings were already packed into the truck. This company advertises that they are apart of the Better Business Bureau on their website, however, if you go to BBB they are not listed. There are many similar complaints on this company and after doing some research, they also go by another name as well.
