    GREAT JOB. All my questions were addressed and the move was handled with care and integrity. You hear so many horror stories about movers but these guys made me feel as if I was being moved by friends and family and that type of service you can’t put a price on.

    When I first Googled moving companies I was worried. Among 4 companies I chose Long distance. Lawrence the moving estimator was polite, professional and knew his job well. The guy was there from the estimate to the day of moving. The moving crew was excellent, quick and knowledgeable of what they were doing experienced. Ryan my moving coordinator played a vital role and was in touch from she took over even to the day after delivery. I was so satisfied that I had to courteously call them to thank them for an uneventful move, excellent, professional, reliable and affordable service. They are the BEST!

    The moving staff from LDRG were prompt and answered all my questions and they had a game plan set up, so it all worked well. And the moving rep was excellent. The crew was really good and professional and worked hard to get it done in a timely manner, and nothing was broken on the receiving end. So they did a really amazing move.

    Communicative. Reliable. Professional. Friendly. I have been through 3 long haul moves in less than four years. If I ever move again Ling distance INc will be the only moving company I work with. They partnered with me on every step in the process. My mover Abraham and his crew, treated me and my belongings like I was a member of their family. Overall, a very different experience than any other. Thank you so freaking much for a great job.

    These guys are great really appreciate all the hard work. These guys busted moving my house. They didn’t even take a lunch break they had my whole house packed up in five hours and I Had a good amount of stuff to move. The delivery time was pretty good as well. Thanks it’s really good to know there are some companies out there. Especially when it’s so hard to find good help these days.

    Larry was my rep from Long distance relocation group inc. Very pleasant young man who insisted on taking an inventory before even giving me a price. I’ve moved a few times so I know how important this is. After the inventory he explained how delivery time frame worked and was very upfront about how packing and unpacking was handled. Last minute I needed to have my fine china packed because I couldn’t get it done in time (delivered in the same condition)

    Long story short I was nervous about moving to begin with and Larry helped me tremendously (called him @ 10pm once) I would recommend him and the service they provided to anyone.

You blessed me with a beautiful move I was under a lot of stress and this was probably one of the worst times in my life.Between the divorce losing my house losing the kids in a custody battle moving out of a home that I paid for. So many bad things happened which I don’t want to go into too much detail. But you guys made sure to pick me up move my stuff packed it up so nicely thank you once again you guys.

    I recently relocated to the West Coast, and needed something reliable to get me across the country. I researched a bunch of different moving companies and sourced a bunch a quotes, and eventually I was contacted by Long Distance Relocation Group before my planned move, and was given what I thought initially to be a reasonable estimate for a cross-country move by a sales rep named Sam. They were not the cheapest, but as explained to me via phone, their rates reflected a lack of hidden fees that moving companies are known for. I would later learn the hard way that they also play with the same dirty tactics as their competition. The days leading up to the move, one of my most pressing questions was always "I'll be getting a call beforehand right?" as I no longer lived at the apartment where my things were. I was always assured that I'd get at least 24 hours notice before, and 30-60 minutes heads up. The day of the move, I received a text message out of the blue that they had arrived. 40 minutes after the text had been sent. No call beforehand, no attempt at a follow up. I rushed over as soon as I caught the text to meet the movers, and overall, the loading of the truck went smoothly. However, I was told by the foreman that despite my load being under what Sam quoted (24 standard boxes instead of 30) that I was above the limit, which is impossible having packed moving trucks for trade shows for the past 10 years. When I asked the foreman to walk me through how he calculates your cubic feet, his reply was merely "It's above the line, but not all the way above", and he then proceeded to calculate some arbitrary numbers that included a surprise materials fee (the only materials they used of theirs were shrink wrap, tape, and blankets, which based on Sam and his associate Tommy's discussions, were included in the estimate.) My final invoice came out to be $2065.75, which was more than $500 over what I was quoted initially. This was far outside of my budget on a job that was already pushing my budget to the limit. When we spoke, I told him I understood that I'm willing to pay a little more than the less expensive movers quoted me, since he all had such great reviews. I signed the papers, exhausted by the move and everything that led up to it, and resigned myself to deal with it with a manager afterwards. I sent out a follow up to Sam documenting my experience and my dissatisfaction. It took a second follow up email and a total of 10 days before I received a response from Sam, which was as follows: "What are you even trying to say right now?" I followed up with a very brief and direct summary of my experience and what I wanted, some kind of discount to clear the balance, with no reply. More than 2 weeks later, I received a call from Adrian, the driver in LA, saying they had arrived, but would have to charge me $300 more to delivery because they couldn't get an 18-wheeler down my street. I had been asked about this in NY by the foreman on sight, and I told him that the street was too narrow and asked him if there was any additional charge or concern I should be worried about. His answer was NO. Needless to say, I was beyond frustrated at the games they were playing with no only my possessions, but my money as well! Adrian said he'd park somewhere and I could pick up myself, which is not what I paid for, but in the interest of being done with this nightmare, I agreed. I got to the storage facility (located an hour away) and arrived to find my things off the truck and visibly disheveled. Boxes were crushed and open, the handles on my antique dresser were off and I was told "it's OK, they should screw back in". Additionally, I was told I had to give them a certified check (something not discussed prior, especially since the NY foreman who picked up my things told me a personal check was fine.) I was also told by Adrian that if I didn't give them the balance, that they would leave my things at the storage facility. Not packed away, just in the open to be picked through by whomever chose to visit. I spoke with the operations manager Ryan several times, both via text and afterwards via email, to request some kind of discount or compensation for not only the outrageous additional charges but also for my damaged goods, which I also sent pictures of as well. I have not received any reply since picking up the things I had paid over $2000 to have delivered.

    Really please with my overall service. I had to do a move Last minute. It wasn’t my fault but on my moving Plans got moved up. So I called his guys and the next day they pick me up.Everyone else I called wasn’t available.

  14. Professional movers, fair price, good service.

    I spoke with Matt when having to decide on which company to go with for my move from New York to Florida. This wasn't my first time using a moving service so I knew I had to shop around to get the best deal. I didn't want to go with Long Distance Relocation Group at first because there were a couple cheaper quotes I got from other companies. Matt gave me some insight on the industry and told me that his price isn't the lowest but that there won't be any issues with his company. I did some research and Matt's company had the best reviews so I went with them. All my belongings arrived just as I parted with them and the movers were professional and efficient. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I didn't get the price as low as I wanted.

  15. Extremely Dissatisfied.

    My husband and I found out that we had ~2 weeks to relocate 1,400 miles away for his job. Panicked, I requested quotes from dozens of companies. LDRG came in at the cheapest. After a lengthy conversation with Matt in which I gave him a detailed inventory list and requested a guaranteed delivery window, he quoted me at $2,549. This was for 25 medium sized boxes and all of the furniture I told him we were bringing. Great! He said I would get a call 2 days before my things were to be picked up so that I could be given a 2 hour window of when to expect the movers to come.

    That call never came. I frantically tried calling both their customer service line and Matt, afraid I had fallen for a scam. I left messages and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. An hour later Matt returned my call and said there had been a fire in the building and everyone was evacuated out of the office so no one could call me. Yeah, ok, sure.

    One thing that I want to make clear is that when I first was contacted by LDRG, Matt stressed to me that they use their own guys and their own fleet of trucks and that they don’t subcontract out anything. This is a LIE. A flat out lie. The guys who packed the (rented Enterprise) truck and the guys who unloaded my stuff were both contracted out.

    Anyway, so the guys who packed the truck were nice enough and efficient, but they did NOT clean up after themselves as I was told they would. They left dozens of rolls of tape behind, empty boxes they brought their moving supplies in, tons of plastic wrapping from their moving blankets.

    They also informed me, after packing the truck, that my total cost would be $800 more than I agreed to because we apparently took up more space on the truck than they estimated. We decided at the last minute to leave several large items behind, so HOW could we have taken up MORE space with LESS stuff?! When I asked I was told that their computer “uses an equation to determine the volume needed, and it isn’t the most accurate equation.” SO WHY DO THEY USE IT?!?! I was and still am LIVID. I was told my options were to pay up or have them unload everything and pay a cancellation fee. I had a flight to catch the next morning and had no time to find new movers. They knew this. Scumbags.

    But wait! There’s more!

    When I set everything up with Matt and I paid extra for a guaranteed delivery window, he told me I would have my belongings between May 22-May 24. I told him my earliest possible delivery date was May 21 because that was the day we would be getting the keys to our new place.

    On Saturday May 19 I got a call from the driver letting me know he was ready to deliver my stuff the next day. I told him that wasn’t possible because I wouldn’t even have access to our new apartment until Monday. He told me too bad, he was in town and couldn’t stay any longer and to call LDRG and take it up with them. What is the point of confirming an earliest possible delivery date if they try to deliver even earlier than that?!

    Long Distance Relocation Group Inc. is a shady business. Don’t believe a word out of the representatives’ mouths. They are salesmen. They will and do lie. Do not trust them. Do not go with them.
