  1. ~20K in Damages and Mold -- It's a scam- they write fake reviews.

    They arrived with my things after two months of storage covered in mold and soaked in water. The police were called, and Tommy from Long Distance hung up when the police asked to speak to them.

    DO NOT USE THEM.

    They are now under investigation at a federal level with DOT and a task force that has been set up to take down the fraud being committed by these relocation companies.

    Call the Government Victim Hotline if this company has also taken advantage of you by continuously increasing the cost of your move and damaging all of your things.

    I recently found myself in a position where I had to move from Georgia to Nevada with little pre-planning. I worked with Matt in the Sales department who was very thorough and courteous. (I had to change my move date several times.) Additionally, I worked with Tracy and she was very friendly and accurate. My move went off excellently and by chance I received by belongings in two days. I was ecstatic because I had been living out of a suitcase in Nevada because of a family emergency. I am so grateful I was treated like family and well taken care of. I can never thank you enough. My belongings were brought in the house put where I wanted them. Everything was as promised. I would give them a 10 if I could.

  3. Quick to respond, fast to move.

    When choosing a moving company, I spoke to Long Distance Incand they were very quick to respond. After explaining everything that was in my home, and what type of packing I needed, they gave me a quote at what the total cost would be. Although it was a little higher than some of the other quotes I received, I felt like they were the most detailed and asked a lot of important questions, that made me realize that they cared about how accurate the quote was.

  4. On time move.

    Getting in touch with Long Distance Inc was very simple. My rep asked me a number of questions regarding my move, and explained how everything was expected to proceed from the pickup to the delivery and everything in between. They sent me over an estimate based, and after comparing against a few different companies, we decided to go with their company based on how thorough they explained everything to us and their reviews online. The team showed up on time to our home in San Diego, and everything basically went as planned on the pickup. We weren't 100% packed, but the movers had extra materials on the truck and helped us pack our mattresses and T.V. Before they left, the foreman gave us an anticipated delivery time between 1-2 weeks.

    I moved from California to Texas before I hired this company I informed them that I needed my items in a week I was told by regulation they had to tell me it will take 14 days but that they will do it in a week and it took more than 3 weeks and had to keep calling them when the movers arrived The 2 gentleman where very nice and apologetic because one of my dresser leg was broken and explained to me to just call the number on my receipt that they will take care of that for me. I filed my claimed with CSI the 3rd party for Long Distance and was informed that it may take up to 6 months to get the claimed settled. I had to keep following up with both Companies but eventually CSI determined and valued my lost for $153 dollars in may 2018 and in July I spoke to supervisor because I had not received the check his name is TOMMY told me he was sending the payment 07/30/2018 have not received it yet 09/13/2018 they Don't even respond to there Phone they have after hours service responding to all there calls even during business hours. There management are not responding to my calls. But I must say the 2 movers that came to my house are great!!.

  8. Do NOT use Long Distance Relocation Group, Inc.

    My est. for packing and moving jumped from $4500 to $14475, and they insisted I pay IN CASH if I wanted my stuff. Every appliance and piece of furniture was damaged. They're definition of packing was throwing things in boxes, none of which were labeled, and using my custom drapes as packing material. Original oil paintings throw in, unprotected, on top of other things. Nothing inventoried. Upon unloading, nothing put where I asked. Microwave was in an upstairs bedroom. Refrigerator left in living room (it didn't fit through one door, so they never tried the back door). Everything "packed" (using the term loosely) in either wardrobe or dish pack boxes, too big & heavy for me to move myself. Collectibles and antiques, crushed. Cabinets never emptied of contents, packed full so all the contents spilled during moving and when opened, in many cases damaging the hinges or drawers. A every piece of a brand new custom bed damaged. Bannister damaged to the point that it won't stay together now.

  9. Fake company, call Hotline if you are a victim.

    Thanks to Kaysey, I found the information I need to sue this company. I already contacted Hotline, and I'm waiting for their response.

    They stole my 7 boxes of stuff of $5000 worth, and behaved extremely rude and disrespectful.

    Sometimes it's not all about the money though, I feel we have to stop these guys to prevent others people becoming the next victims. The success task force from https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdoh/pr/twelve-charged-moving-company-scams gave me much confidence.

    I'm sure there're lots of fake reviews here. Hope more victims of this company will join us to fight our right.

  10. Total scam, WARNING: DO NOT USE !

    Using this company is my worse, most regrettable decision I've made, and the worst experience I've had through my entire life!
    1. I have 7 boxes got stolen from their warehouse, including a 60" TV
    2. I have 5 damages on my furniture. My bed is not usable anymore, and lot's my boxes got damaged.
    3. It took them 3 months to settle my loss, which they agree to compensate by WEIGTH! Yes, by weight! $400 for 7 boxes of stuff..
    4. after 7 months, they still haven't sent me the check!
    5. I've tried to contact them countless of times. Although they always say they'll send out your check the next day, but 7 months has passed and I still haven't received the check
    6. Now they didn't pick up my phone.
    7. I contacted the sales person, and he said he already left the company, because they're in the process of bankruptcy.. (no wonder how they end up bankruptcy)

    And be careful, when you call their number, it's a fake number, they're just receivers who leave messages to them. And they never return your call.

    I'll never see my 7 boxes of stolen stuff, and I guess I'll never see me $400 check!
    Don't be the next victim!

    Last but not the least, do not trust a single word from Ryan or Tommy. They're probably just fake names. Lying is what this whole company does.

  11. How to File for Fraud -- Long Distance Relocation Group Scam.

    I suggest all people with a similar experience of bait and switch, as well as fraud with this company, file a complaint of fraud at the federal level.

  12. The Worst. do Not Use.

    This company is the worst.

    I moved from Los Angeles to Chicago. They lost an item that never got delivered. They never attempted to look for it and have it sent to me and then claimed they were not responsible for paying me for the item. 3 of my furniture pieces (less than a year old) were broken when they arrived.

    They made me pay a fee once they arrived because their truck couldn't fit to deliver my items (however they had all of this information when I booked the move, including my address). And I was told by the office management of the building that they have never had a truck NOT fit in the very very wide alley. With all of the technology that is available these days, there is no excuse for not looking at satelite views of where you are delivering to and being up front about the cost.

    They had confirmed that I would have a morning pick up and then the day of told me they wouldn't be arriving until 5pm - and I had a 6 hour drive that I had to complete that day.

    It has been 6 months since my move was complete and I still have not received my payment from my lost and damanged items even though the claim was approved. I have contacted them 6+ times and no one will respond. I contacted the claims company and they said that this is common that the moving company does not respond.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The are AWFUL and a total scam.

  13. Horrible Experience w Long Distance.

    I moved from NY to CO for work. I was quoted for the move about 2400 and when the big day came, the movers came and told me that what was quoted was completely wrong and re-estimated the new costs to be around 6000. I went over the list with the original contact multiple times and there were a few boxes that were extra but not 3600 more. They finally delivered the stuff at around 10pm a few weeks later and since I couldn't see the stuff there was lot of boxes and furniture missing. in addition I had very expensive furniture broken. I have called them several times and all I get is a receptionist saying we can't do anything except to take a message and no one has called me back.

  14. ~20K in Damages and Mold.

    This company is a bait and switch relocation company that is leveraging the same tactics as other fraudulent relocation companies. Per the police, they have committed both civil and criminal offenses.

    -Unanswered phone calls, emails, full message system, and 3rd Party Answering Service.
    -No last names or direct phone numbers used.
    -Tripled the rate from $1550 to ~$4600 upon loading my property, demanding I pay or they would throw my items back in the street.
    -Stored my items for 2 months before relocating my goods from Brooklyn, NY to Atlanta, GA, arriving 10 days late. All the while, not answering any calls or emails with the status of the moving goods.
    -My goods arrived yesterday covered in blankets of mold. Furniture, clothing, kitchen items, a mattress -- everything was soaked with water and had been molding for an unknown amount of time.
    -The police were called and the representative named Tommy reached out once the truck driver had messaged him. Once he heard the police had arrived, he hung up. The driver abandoned the goods in the street and drove off, leaving unexecuted paperwork behind.

    If you have already scheduled a move, cancel it now. This company is liable for ~$20K in damages alone for my relocation, and I have read that they may be in bankruptcy.

  15. Excellent..

    I was moving 700 miles, state to state, right up to New Jersey, for work. My co-worker’s family member referred me to Long Distance Incsince they have used them. I gaveLong Distance inc a call and walked them through my house and told them what I needed to move. I worked with Dylan. He explained to me what their service includes, what they did, and how much the loading and unloading would cost, as well as the additional packing services. So I added some packing on and he gave me a price which was cheap. It was cheaper than Mayflower, one of the bigger guys, which quoted me $3,000.
