  1. No stress.

Long distance relocation group was great. They help me with my very first move.I got a few quotes and all the other companies try to badmouth each other. Long-distance focused on what they were doing about their company and how they were going to handle my move. Your first move can be very stressful. Thank you for taking that stress away.

  2. This wsa a smooth move.

Wow is all I can say. I’ve heard so many bad stories about how people’s moods get messed up and this was my very first move and was very worried about choosing a mover. It definitely looks like I made the right choice because everything did go smoothly to my satisfaction.

  3. Really appreciate the company and staff.

I’m a firm believer you get what you pay for. LDRG was actually the highest quote I got. But from my past move experience I wasn’t going with the lowest price. And I got exactly what I paid for a good service move with them that crazy drama I had my first move. I really appreciate this company and their staff.

  4. Good.

I was talking to 3 moving companies and I felt more confident with the man from Long Distance Relocation with whom I was working with. The move went very smoothly and they sent us 26 foot size truck. Though I kept thinking that we were going to need a larger van, the one they sent held all of our stuff despite being packed full. Also, their movers knew what they were doing. The guys that came and got the stuff at our place were very professional. Thereafter, we had to have our stuff stored for three months and what I was really surprised and pleased about was the same guy showed up when they brought it out three months later. At the time, I figured it would be another crew that would show up with our stuff eventually and it was good that we had already dealt with the ones who came out.

  5. Expensive Stuff Delivered As Junk.

I paid over $4000.00 for moving my belongings from NYC to Warren, MI. on 7/26/18.
That price was too much. When my delivery was made I found many of my things were damaged. The expensive headboard to my bed was damaged to the that I could not re-attached to my bed. An expensive lamp does not work anymore. Two leather chairs were torn. An HP Laptop was stolen __ the delivery driver gave to a tagged empty box which held the PC. These savage hedons stacked heavy items on top of mine. They loaded other customers stuff on to the truck enroute to my destination. There is little concern for the customers belongings, other than just got it there. I buy expensive stuff and it's delivered to me at a rip off price of $4000.00 >> as junk. This is a scumbag moving; I wouldn't recommend it to a homeless person. I am still very angry about the delivery ended. I intend to go after this [EDIT] company for compensatory damages.

  6. Do Not Use This Moving Company!!

I am too exhausted to detail and each and every issue related to our use of this so-called relocation company. Suffice it to say, we moved from CA to TN at the end of February and we STILL have about 1/3 of items missing (truck driver for the first delivery lied to us and told us our items were on a 2nd truck to arrive later in the week. This was in May 2018. It is now the end of July and we have no living room furniture, boxes, jewelry and a complete spare bedroom furniture set. We have paid DOUBLE of the initial quote plus $900 for "free storage". The latest update was that this company was suspending operations in California so all our stuff had been shipped to New Jersey and would be delivered in "two weeks"--that was about a month ago. Their updates are atrocious; Ryan S. has been our main contact and he has disappeared as of the last update. My husband and I call every day and still no resolution. This has been a traumatic experience. Do not use this company!!

  7. LDRG did everything that they committed to do.

I had to move 700 miles to be closer to my family. LDRG did everything that they committed to do, and they were very careful with my belongings. I chose them to do my move primarily for the price and they were reliable, honest, and dependable. The moving coordinator did his job and I was happy with him. He was off by about 100 cubic feet but I’m not sure that was entirely his fault since I changed my mind on some of the stuff that I had originally thought I would not be moving. The account manager was good too and he kept me informed as to where we were at. There were no surprises in the move except during pickup since I thought I was going to have 2 days to get ready but it was a 2 day pick up window. I was pretty much ready when they came, but I was packing as they were loading. Then everything went according to schedule for the delivery.

  8. Horrible experience.

Like many folks, I tried my best to perform my due diligence prior to selecting a mover. After reading moving companyhorror stories everywhere, this company seemed to have the least terrible reviews. We were not looking for the cheapest, we were looking for a company we could trust to provide good reliable service at a fair price. Our experience with this company has been the worst customer service experience of our life. It all started very positive on the sales side as I spoke with John K who gave a "binding phone quote", which equated to approx $4500. Yes he explained that final pricing could be higher or lower after everything was loaded. He explained that delivery would take 14-21 days, which they were required to disclose per law. I questioned if they contracted their services, and he confirmed they use their own people, trucks and movers are all Long Distance employees. I explained our apartment lease began May 7th, so we can take delivery anytime after that. With plans for me to start my new job May 15th, and anticipating we receive our items between May 14-21. We arranged a pickup date of May 1.

Pickup day was mostly smooth, they did arrive a couple of hours late, not a big deal. The movers did a good job, wrapped everything up and loaded the truck professionally. Then came the first surprise, the final price came to $8500. I think everyone is mentally prepared for a slight shift in price, but nearly double? I don't think our furniture is even worth that much, at that price, we would have simply sold off most of our furniture, and only shipped keepsakes and such. I spoke to the driver, and he said that items should arrive quickly, I confirmed with him that we could not take delivery any earlier than May 7th, since we cannot get into our apartment before that. At this point, I was actually worried that they would deliver too early. Joke's on me.

The sticker shock was the first sign of your classic "bait and switch". It was disconcerting, but we were fine paying, as long as our items were handled and delivered timely. Unfortunately, things only continued to get worse from there. To keep it brief, lets just say, my trusty service rep became inaccessible (I was told he came down with health issues). I began dealing with one of the managers, Ryan S. Between him and Tommy answering my calls, every time I called to check on update, they assured me in various forms that our belongings were scheduled to be on the next truck, and would arrive within the next week. This song and dance went from the week of May 7th all the way until we finally received delivery June 20th. Yup, every week I would call to confirm our items were shipped only to be told, sorry, no, but they are scheduled to be on the next truck leaving in a few days..

By about the 3rd week of waiting for our items, I was convinced that the folks in the office had zero control or knowledge of what actually happens with dispatch. The disconnect was just sad. BTW, very important detail for those reading, when they say delivery window is 14-21 days, it is actually 14-21 BUSINESS DAYS, and also, the window does not necessarily start the day your items are picked up. There is a separate and unique "delivery date" they use, that is the start of your delivery window. Ours was apparently May 8th, which was the date that we said was the earliest we could ACCEPT delivery. These details were not made clear to us at point of sale, so please don't fall victim like we did. BTW, based on these terms, our delivery was due June 6 (21 business days from May 8).

When we finally received delivery, after waiting 7 weeks, it was the most disconcerting and ridiculous experience. The driver was several hours late, initially scheduled for 11-12, and pushed back to 4, and then showed up 6pm. He said he could not take the truck into our apartment complex, would have to do a shuttle and charge $400, okay fine, I was aware of this fee, even though it was advertised as $300 by the company. However, because he arrived so late, uhaul was closed and we were unable to get a truck. Instead of waiting until the morning, he decided to park at the front of our complex and I ended up shuttling our items in our minivan from the truck to our unit and also help manage and move everything. He asked me to identify items on the truck that did not belong to me as we moved. Apparently, that was his inventory system. He ultimately had to hire 6 movers to help, and we ended up moving from 7pm-1am, with me driving our minivan back and forth about 20 times. Ultimately, I had the privilege of paying $500 extra for this experience.

The only credit I can give here is that Ryan maintained contact with us throughout this time up until delivery. He did convey some sympathy to our situation and promised to look into making things right, as they did ultimately miss their delivery window and also provided us terrible communications on their delivery updates. He told me that they do compensate $30/day for late delivery. However, despite numerous attempts to settle and obtain any sort of compensation for their terrible service and late delivery, Ryan and Long Distance has not responded to any of my attempts to followup with them ever since we received our delivery. We've been ignored and dumped like a bad habit. No effort to make this right and preserve their integrity.

I would never use this company again, and would not recommend them to my worst enemies. Listen, I saw some of the negative reviews, but most were positive. Just like any company, there could be some anomalies with their service model as long as most of them are positive, you're probably going to get a positive experience. I can't speak for the other reviews, other than I'm convinced at least some of the positive ones are fabricated. I can assure you mine is genuine, and unfortunate for us, we were one of the customers that had a negative experience. Do business with them at your own risk, but based on our experience, I would not work with these guys. Don't say I didn't warn ya. Happy to discuss my experience in detail with anyone that is interested. We just want to put this nightmare behind us, but we have to warn others first.

Last thing to point out, we gave this company every opportunity to address our concerns prior to writing this review. I asked for a call from senior management over a month ago. Nothing, radio silence.

  9. Moved good from Texas to Florida.

We had to move across the country from Texas to Florida. I did some research and thought that Long Distnace was the most reputable that I found. We had to make a lot of special requests. We had to put our stuff in storage. And once we close on the house, we had a couple of months before we could move into the other one. So there were a lot of issues. I got handed off to a couple of different people which I didn’t think was going to happen, but it did. The initial person did that to keep the contact going. It was handed off to somebody else. Then we got a couple of different people, so I thought we were fine. The driver was in charge of relocation. He was really good and he called us. We set it up anywhere from the 1st and the 5th of May. He got it there on the 1st. We were contacted and everything was good at that point. But I didn’t think the packers did such a hot job. We found some things that were broken and some things that were just packed and labeled wrong. We've unpacked boxes that said dog toys and tables and didn’t have any of that in it. So all in all it was a decent job, but not the extraordinary job that we first thought we were getting. My sister said the guys had a great attitude and they really worked hard and so she thought they did great at the beginning and we didn’t get any major damage to things that were breakable. But for her, it was the clothes that was not a good deal. My sister had some very expensive suits and they were left on the hanger, triple folded and rolled in a ball and then put in the bottom of one of the shipping boxes that had shoes in the closet with them. I wasn’t real happy. I had a lot of the clothes like that, too. They had wardrobe boxes, but they either didn’t have enough of them and didn’t say anything to anybody. I also thought they overdid it with the packing paper, but I can't really fault them for that. There's a lot of dish packed and the kitchen was really big to pack. We are very picky but it hink they still did a great job.

  10. Very happy with the whole team.

Long Distance Inc seemed like the most legit moving company when I looked online so I went with it. Everybody from there gave me great service across the board, whether it was in terms of timing, their productivity or the quote. While I knew the quote was going to be off since I had a lot of extra boxes since I have a lot of cookbooks and records, it was still quite close. I expected the quote to be about where it was so everything was good. Also, the main guy showed up to deliver my things as well and I was very happy with whole team. I'll use their services next time.

  11. Everything was on time.

I was relocating for work and chose Long DistanceInc because of the price. Everything was fine with the moving coordinator and the quote was pretty accurate. Also, everything was on time and the service met my expectations. I recommend them.

  12. Ldrg moved my motorcycles.

LDRG moved my motorcycles and they had a pretty far walk at the place of pick up. The administrative people from the office that I dealt with that handled commercial and planning side of things was very on top of their game. They followed up with me a lot, just to make sure all was as we planned. Their movers were very nice and friendly and professional. It was pretty seamless. Nothing was broken or missing that we're aware of. I would highly recommend and use them again.

  13. Excellent service.

I was relocating about 180 miles away and one of my office colleagues referred Long Distance Relocation Group. Their moving coordinator was good and the service that he set in place was excellent. They gave me all the proper things, the price, and timing. They also cleared out everything that they wanted. I'd recommend them.

  14. Job well done.

I got a new job and I had to move so I looked up top-rated moving companies that move people out of state. LDRG were top of the list and as I didn't have the time to get a quote from other companies, I just went on based on what people were saying about the company. Sammy is my account manager and I talked to him on a regular basis. I was always able to reach him and it was neat because it seemed like he was always there. That part was very good. Also, we needed to move by a certain date and they accommodated that.

  15. Run Don't Walk Away From This Company.

Very slick sales approach and I got sucked in. Don't make my mistake. If you happen to make the mistake of using these guys, here is a direct dial number to a Manager. They tell you they have no direct dial numbers but they're liars. Jonathan's direct dial is 754-240-5626, try Tom at 754-240-5625 or 5628. Keep trying all the surrounding numbers and you'll get around the stupid call center. I have no reason to slam this business other than they are the most dishonest and unscrupulous company I've ever dealt with. I am equally generous with positive reviews to companies that earn them.
