  1. Long Dist. Relocation Moving, Inc. Not Trustworthy.

    ADDENDUM: This company was very reluctant to provide Insurance Information; I paid $4600.00 for half my belongings to end up stolen/damaged. I had throw out several things.
    I reported my issue to their insurance company and three months later they informed me that they no longer insured Long Distant Inc.
    There is a huge integrity problem with Long Distant Inc. and their company not wanting resolve losses and damages suffered by their customers.
    Long Dist. Customer Svc. Rep. Matt Sladowski, told me that things get damaged when moving.

    To Date: I am still very angry for being ripped off. The four men who did the moving were all Arabs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING > THERY MIGHT CHANGE THEIR NAME. !!

  2. RUN from this company.

    Their salesman assured me they could do same day moving from new Jersey to pennsylvania, but AFTER everything was on the truck I was told it would be 48 hours until I even knew my delivery date, and 2 weeks later we still hadn't heard from them. It took dozens of phone calls and spending an extra 5000 dollars (3 times the original estimated cost of the move) just to finally get my stuff to me, and that only after lawyers got involved. This company is borderline criminal. Do not under any circumstances use them. Also 30% of my belongings were water damaged beyond salvation.

  3. Run for your life!!

    I just went to court against this moving company this week. I live in VA and had to fly to Ft. Lauderdale. They did not even show up so I won the case - 1.5 years after my nightmare move. They lost or stole many of my expensive items including a large flat screen tv, california king mattress and box springs, irreplaceable 20x24 portraits of my son, etc. I filed two police reports, hired a lawyer, and nothing compelled these people to action. They treated me horribly and never returned my belongings. The ones they did deliver were grossly damaged. They stopped reducing my calls a year ago. One of the most horrible experiences of my life was dealing with these dishonest people.

  4. CA to TX.

    Beyond horrible. After several months of no answers, we hard to hire an attorney and fly half way across the country to get our stuff and move it ourselves. Please. Stay away from these scam artists.

    I reported them to Better Business Bureau. They have a "F" rating.
    They owe me a small refund around 400.00 after me paying around 7000.0006/23/2018
    BBB RECEIVED BUSINESS' REBUTTAL RESPONSE : The customer States that the First available delivery date is March 11th and we delivered on April 21st. Per our contract we have up to 21 business days to make any delivery to any state by law. Based on the two dates provided by the customer, we delivered on April 21st which is 30 business days from the first available delivery date meaning we were 9 business days late. Based off this information (provided by the customer) we are only obligated to reimburse $270 dollars based off the rate of 30 dollars per business day. In the interest of the customer and for the inconvenience, we will honor the $420 as stated previously. Keep in mind business days do not include weekends.

    This company still refused to pay it even after admitting in writing that they were at fault and owe me.
    Please..Please do not hire this company no matter what they promise.

  6. Worst Company in The World!!

    I was quoted a price to move $2649.72 by Matt Slawdowski on 8/20 for my move from Philadelphia to Las Vegas, NV the day of the move on 9/4/18 I was charged $7499.25.
    I was sent a moving quote from Long Distance Relocation Services on 8/20 from Matt Sladowski in the amount of $2649.72. I understand that is an approximation but the day the movers came to move now the amount almost tripled to $7499.25. It is now Sept 20th and I have been trying to reach the company to get an update of the delivery and no one from the company has returned any of my calls. I reached out to the mover in PA at 201-375-1478 name was Anthony and no one has responded. I keep calling the number 877-285-7001 as well as the local Florida number of 954-594-1662. The entire contents of my home including furniture, clothes and family memorabilia were included in the boxes. I am a senor citizen on a fixed income and still waiting my delivery but have been unsuccessful in anyone getting back to me. I know the company has a US DOT 2580447 and ICC/MC # 903386. I am not sure what to do at this point except to begin litigation about this company . You call the company and they utilize an answering servie and no one ever returns your calls. I am missing jewelry as well as a computer desk!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! THEY ARE A JOKE!!

  7. Long Distance Reloaction Group is FRAUDULENT.

    After being charged SIX TIMES the amount I was quoted to move my small 2 bedroom apartment from Hartford CT to Bradenton, FL, they held my belongings hostage, tried delivering everything 3 1/2 hours east of Bradenton, then EVERYTHING I own of value: big screen TV, every brand name shoe I have (Jordans, Louboutin, Bakers, etc) my name brand hand bags (PRADA, Coach, Michael Kors, Christian Dior) my art collection (Roy Lichtenstein ORIGINALS from the 1950s) and 2 huge boxes of my Mary Kay inventory (valued at approximately $2400 retail) never showed up. I have called and left numerous messages, only hot a call back when I used my married name and my new phone number just to be hung up on when I told them who I was in their file. This is ludicrous. I work hard for everything I own, no one has given me anything. I just want my things back..a lot of it is vintage and hard to come by but they're mine. Tommy, his boss Ryan and the entire unprofessional staff there (minus the nice ladies at the answering service who all know me by my voice at this point) are a joke. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING!! My next move is calling channel 9 news and going public with my complaint. I'm still in disbelief that 28 of my 108 tagged articals are not in my possession.

  8. Worst Customer Service, Won't Pay Claim For Lost Mattress.

    AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

    Here's why:

    1. We were charged nearly DOUBLE our estimate (which I was very specific on)

    2. They lost our mattress and box spring (how do you lose such a large item??)

    3. I had to jump through hoops to try to get someone to contact me back, and still cannot seem to get a hold of anyone at this company

    4. Nearly a year later, they have yet to pay the claim AND the claim company has stopped working with them for a lack of communication

    Here's our story..

    My husband and I moved cross-country from CA to NC last December. I did a lot of research to find the right moving company because all of our belongings would be in the hands of the mover we chose. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

    First, we were CHARGED NEARLY DOUBLE the estimated quote. But, everything was already on the truck and no way to verify, so there wasn't much we could do. We could pay them to take everything off the truck, which would then also mess up all of our moving plans, or pay the new quoted amount.

    The shipment arrived about 2 weeks later, but our queen mattress and box spring were not on the truck. However, the truck driver knew there was "a mattress" on the truck and proceeded to unstrap someone else's shipment. I told them it was definitely NOT OUR MATTRESS (foam vs. our spring mattress) and it was part of someone else's shipment!

    Losing our mattress is only the beginning. The worst part was trying to get in touch with someone afterwards to get it settled. The truck driver was helpful in giving me a phone number to call. I called Robert, a company supervisor, initially when we realized it was missing and he said he would look at the warehouse in California. I NEVER HEARD BACK from him after that, even after calling him numerous times. My call was always put to voicemail and I'd get the same text back saying "Can't talk now. What's up?" I'd then proceed to text him back, asking for an update on our stuff, but never heard back from him.

    Fully frustrated with the situation, I texted and called Michael, the sales rep who originally set up our move. He was extremely helpful from the start and looked into it for me. He also did not hear back from anyone, so he gave me a customer service email to try.

    Finally, I heard back via email, they checked the warehouse and didn't find our mattress, so we had to file a claim through a service. The service then could only deal with the provided insurance (60 cents per lb).

    The claim service took a few months of waiting, and finally, we signed the release and were to receive payment from the company. Now, nearly a year later, the company has yet to pay our settled claim. The claim service has even stopped working with this company due to a lack of response. The same exact issue we have had since we handed over our belongings to them.

    I never would have expected a moving company to LOSE A MATTRESS. It was literally the largest item in our shipment, and will cost much more to replace than it did to ship in the first place. I understand we signed a contract, however, I think it's only fair to be reimbursed by the company for my items that were very obviously not on the truck. I paid to have something shipped, and it wasn't.

    I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of communication and poor service I have received in trying to contact this company. Don't be fooled by the helpful sales reps, after the move the company will disown you and any issues you had with your move. Not only is this company UNPROFESSIONAL, but their behavior is completely unacceptable from any business.

    You know it's bad when the only option left is to write a review. I really just wanted this dealt with the right way. If you're reading this, consider yourself WARNED.

  9. Worst company ever.

    Ever have a nightmare about everything that can go wrong with a cross country move? I promise you that using this company will be worse. Everything from upping the charge the day of the move to damaging most of my furniture, refusing to bring it up to my apartment to them NOT paying the claim filed with the insurance company. Stay away!!

    Do not use these people they damage over half my stuff and didn’t pay for it charge me extra money and will not refund it they do not return your phone calls.

  12. Move from NY to NC.

    DO NOT DO business with this company !! Terrible experience.

    First they gave us an estimate quote which was then completely changed at pick up date. By completely I mean more than double the estimate!! Seriously ? So that is the way they lure you into the job.
    The team that came in mentioned they could not to anything and at that point you are practically forced to move forward with them.

    They guarantee by contract delivery within max 7 business days from pick while they delivered 14 business days later.
    Terrible customer service, you could only call a number and leave messages with receptionist and were called back only once saying they were going to deliver a little later than on contract and they were going to give us some discount which of course never happened. When the driver finally called to tell us they were going to deliver he basically demanded payment or was not going to deliver our goods.

    Once our goods arrived, we had 3 missing boxes, missing furniture pieces, broken vacuum machine, broken floor lamp, broken shoe rack.
    A real nightmare ! I filed a claim but still did not hear from them!

    STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

    Long distance sink was the best moving company I have ever used I have done three moves since I have been alive on this great green earth. My other two moves were terrible compared to long-distance. They really know what they’re doing. Thank you long-distance thing and I wish you many blessings.

  14. Pleasant move.

    I have now used Long Distance Inctwice (once for myself and once for an employee of mine). Both experiences were pleasant and easy. We spoke to Brian, who handled our moves for us. I was confused how to pack my platform bed, but Judy in customer service sent me instructions and helped answer a lot of questions I had leading up to the move. The movers themselves are really great - and my items arrived a week and a half later in the same shape. I paid $100 extra than my original price, because I couldn't pack the three TV in my house.

    A neighbor of mine initially referred me to Long Distance Inc Moving. And then, I spoke to Bryan over there at Long Distance Inc. He's the one that initially set me up and they made me feel comfortable with their whole process. My neighbor who had already completed their move told me how the process went from beginning to start. Between here and my neighbor's experience and then speaking to Bryan, Long Distance Incwon over my confidence. Bryan kept it super simple but made me aware of all the ins and outs, such as how I should prepare my packing. He told me what to expect in my front yard and what time to expect the movers. It wasn’t too over complicated. He was knowledgeable and I was informed of everything I needed to know.
