  1. Loading and unloading.

Poor loading caused heavy damage to dresser. I wrapped furniture with blankets and padding, provided straps. Boxes likely fell during transit. No one is held responsible for damage. Stay away!

  2. Needed help in unloading a 28ft trailer.

We needed help in unloading a 28ft trailer full of furniture and boxes. We called at the last minute because a couple that was suppose to help us canceled out. They put us in contact with Movers By Greg and three movers came early the next morning and did a great job.

  3. Worst moving company.

Do NOT I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They charged us an extra hour for the movers only being there for two hours. They didn’t give us paperwork, said they did everything in two hours, and I was yelled at over the phone TWICE by the operator to discuss my move. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

  4. Do Not Use!

Their staff is untrained, physically unable to do the job, broke furniture and hid it with one of their blankets and put boxes clearly labeled as fragile on the bottom of a stack of boxes. The company accepts no responsibility for their staff. They offered $100 credit as a goodwill gesture for the extensive damage that was done.

  5. Packing my U-Pack trailer.

I just want to say "DON'T HIRE THEM", they are the worst people I have ever delt with. They didn't follow any instruction, they didn't pay any attention to what was written on the boxes, like fragile, heavy. Who puts three stacked boxes of books on something that says fragile, glass, dishes. The last 6 ft of the trailer, I think they just decided to throw things and close the door.

  6. Overcharged without consent.

Let me be clear the movers themselves were great, the company Moving Staffers are terrible and have absolutely awful business practices.

Instead of sending a final invoice for charges or calling as informing me, they just ran my card. And every time they ran my card they charged a service fee of $50.

4 times they ran my card before I called them. I can't even believe that is legal to do. Horrible company.

  7. Pricing.

There was a 2 hour minimum with my Upack contract. I only needed one hour of moving service. I would be more inclined to use your service in the future if I could buy the service in hourly increments.
The two movers were beyond reproach in their knowledge, skill and their helpfulness. Very hard working.
    all over excellent experience.

  8. Pyramid Movers, placed by Moving Staffers..Simply the best!

Great experience from the first phone call till the end, when we saw our POD filled. Can’t say enough about Jimmy, Jim Jr., Jamie and Luis. Professional, organized, hard-working and really nice guys who cared for our belongings as if they were their own. Can’t say enough just how pleased we are.

  9. C&C Moving.

These guys are great. I highly recommend them for loading and unloading. Shane, Antone and Randy made it happen for me, I’m sure they will for you!

  10. Highly Recommend.

I have read the negative reviews for this company and totally disagree. I found Moving Staffers an excellent experience from my first phone call to the last piece put in place in my new home. The office staff were very knowledgeable and called to check several times. The gentlemen who packed and moved my furnishings were professional and friendly. They made sure we understood what they were doing and treated our furnishings with great care. Keep in mind, this was done during the heat of August and they kept a pleasant demeanor the whole time. One told me he loves this job because it's a great way to keep fit. What a great attitude! This was a very positive experience from beginning to end.

  11. Interstate move.

From the intital phone call explaining how the service worked to the multlple phone calls I made with questions that were all answered to my satisfaction their service was great.
The crew showed up on time were motivated and did a great and careful job unloading the truck on a 94 degree day. They helped get beds put together and were still done an hour before the pre-scheduled estimate so I got an hour refund. Would use them again!!

I would not have known about Move Staffers except through U-pack and would give high marks to both these companies.

  12. Read this before you book them.

Moving Staffers with its multi-state presence and centralized service sounds like the promise of a safe and carefree move. I, like many others, fell into that trap. Lucky for me, a near-disaster turned into a great blessing. I have now notified both my previous employer Johns Hopkins University and my new employer Carnegie Mellon University to list Moving Staffers as dispreferred service. What I want to do here is to make you realize how Moving Staffers actually operates. Once you read this, you can make an informed choice.

I often do a good deal of online research before I book a service. Moving Staffers has mostly negative reviews, so why did I book them? Because they are partnered with UPack, which is actually a decent and highly-rated service. When they recommended Moving Staffers as their trusted partner, I made the mistake of taking that as reliable validation. I booked Moving Staffers a month ahead of my move. My husband and I both have demanding jobs, so I was planning a weekend move. Moving Staffers told me I couldn’t do that because I was receiving the “plus service”, and to ensure that my moving coordinator could be on top of things in the off chance that anything goes wrong, Sundays were out. They also excluded other options for various reasons, so packing and loading was scheduled for the middle of the week. I was unhappy with this timing, but I told myself “peace of mind is better than anything!” So I agreed. We were packing a small 2-bedroom apartment. They charged me nearly $3000 for packing, loading and unloading (no storage, transportation, etc.). Sounds extravagant, but I told myself “peace of mind!”.

It was the day before the scheduled appointment, and no one has contacted me about the plan. So I called. The coordinator assigned to me did not answer my call (or my email). So I called the general number. I talked to someone else, who assured me all was well. I asked when the movers will arrive? She put me on hold for a while, then responded that she would have to get back to me later. Later that evening, I finally received an email, informing me that the crew will show up the next day between 11:00 and 1:00. We got the truck, and sat waiting. No one showed up. I called. The same person as the day before answered. I explained my worry. She said she would look into it. An hour later, a man called me, and informed me, in the most casual tone, without offering even an apology, that no one was going to show up today. “Maybe tomorrow” he said. I was flabbergasted. I thought I was paying $3000 for a back-up plan, so if one crew does not show up, there will be a plan B. I was sorely mistaken. In fact, Moving Staffers is nothing but a phone coordinator between local movers. It means that they have the information of your local movers, and call them (like you yourself would), but the catch is they charge you an extravagant amount for it. My credit card has already been charged, and I was being told with the most condescending “Ma’am” tone that that was that. When I said I would file a complaint, I was old that I had “threatened” them, and they immediately canceled my move on both cities.

The good thing is that I’m not easily fazed. I picked up the phone, and called some local movers. An hour later they were at my place. While they were packing, I also called movers in my destination city, and booked a trustworthy service there. Our move went without a glitch after that, and guess what? It cost exactly HALF the price of what Moving Staffers were charging me. Now make your own choice. Happy moving! .

  13. North Carolina to Pennsylvania.

We reserved a U-Pack trailer and hired movers via Moving Staffers. The phone representatives pulled our move information right from the U-Pack order and was able to recommend the number of laborers and hours needed to get the job done. Moving Staffers matches you job with local moving companies.

Our origin movers showed up on time, and were responsible for packing and loading. Despite the fairly large job and our doubts, the crew was able to get the job done inside the quoted time frame. They were professional and hard working, and were careful in packing our delicate items. They also were careful to load the trailer appropriately, heavy in the bottom, roping off every so many feet, etc. Everything was secured. Top notch.

The destination crew showed up on time, and were responsible for unloading the trailer, placing items in the correct rooms based on labeling and my direction. They got the job done inside the quoted time frame, and with only few exceptions, everything ended up in the appropriate rooms. Also nicely done!

In consideration of the other reviews I see here, it seems you are very much at the mercy of the local moving companies you are paired with. It would be worth it to just call the company you are paired with to explain the job and expectations ahead of time, so they can be sure to send the right people to you.

  14. This company destroyed my dining room table.

Do not use this service! They are not experts or professionals, and I mean the company, not necessarily all of their laborers. Their Terms of Service are all slanted toward them so that they can get out of reimbursing the customer for damaged property. As a non-professional mover, you are taking a risk by using them, and there is no effort made to educate you, the customer, about how to load and unload. They expect you to direct their laborers on how to load your possessions so that they can say any damage done is because you did not correctly inform the movers. On top of that, the movers they gave us did not have enough experience or professional knowledge to know how best to load our truck. This is WRONG. As a customer there is an expectation of service. I expect the laborers to know a little, or this company should provide the customer with education.

We loaded a four post dining room table with their help. The movers then proceeded to stack two layers of heavy boxes on top of the table. Given that our family does not have professional moving experience we relied on the knowledge of the movers who seemed to know what they were doing and assumed this was the best course of action for loading the table. Of course, the table could not handle the weight. By the time the table arrived at our destination, it was destroyed. The table top had splintered under the weight and the middle completely fell through. Anybody with a glimmer of truck loading knowledge would have known that and would have protected the table better. Moving Staffers would provide us no recourse for the actions of the movers they subcontract, so we are left buying a new table after paying to move the broken one. Again, do not use their service.

  15. Excellent experience!

The team that they sent was very professional and the lead person knew what he was doing when packing our POD. We were amazed at what they got into the POD and were very please with the overall service! One of our best moving experiences to date!
