  1. Horrible experience.

This company significantly damaged property on a move from New Jersey to Florida. Currently exploring legal options. Please , please do not use this company for any moves long or short. I’ve written 1 or 2 reviews in my life so it takes a lot to make me write this. Please do not use this company , we will take legal action.

  2. Showed up 2 hours late with absolutely nothing.

The movers were supposed to come around 5pm and showed up at 7:30 pm with NO TOOLS. Not even a screwdriver or anything, I had to scramble to find them basic hand tools. They were also not able to fit my stuff in the previously quoted area and it ended up costing me an addition $130 without telling me. Would not recommend, especially for a service that cost $1000. My friends could've done a better job.

  3. So much damage.

My stuff was in storage for a couple years, it was packed by myself and several helpers. I went to check on everything 3 weeks before actually hiring moving staffers and everything was in same condition as it was left.

As you can see there were footprints and candle wax on my Italian Silk sofa and the wrought Iron table legs were easily removed with one allen wrench instead of broken off. Many, many more.. I paid for 3 hours no steps nothing just from storage unit to truck it was a 1.5 to 2 hours job max.

  4. Hire your own movers to help with your UPACK.

The loading company that was contracted through moving staffers for my origin city (Cincinnati - Here to There Movers) )was great, however, the unloading (moving in) contracted company that moving staffers used (Big Boy Movers based in Utah, but specifically the Vancouver, WA branch), was HORRIBLE, completely unprofessional, very unresponsive. No equipment was given to the two people who were helping unload (no dollies (apparently that is an extra fee..), no back braces, no moving straps for heavy furniture.

The people who showed up looked like college kids that were just doing this for a summer job, and for one of them it was his first day/first job, so he wasn't trained nor did he know what he was really doing. The other person seemed to have some experience, but again, was not a professional mover at all! When they arrived, I seriously thought it was a joke. Like you two, are going to move my heavy stuff, without a dolly, moving straps, OR back braces?

I've been dealing with the company (Big Boy Movers) for several weeks now, trying to get reimbursed for my dresser, which was very damaged from them moving the furniture into my apartment. They took off all the padding, and shrink wrap that the professional movers from my origin destination (here to there movers) had used to protect it, since it's a solid wood custom dresser.

It's been a series of unprofessional managers getting angry with me over the phone, for even suggesting that they provide their workers with a dolly for moving, as I guess moving staffers told the movers (if you can call them that) they wouldn't need one (I had 2 pods to unload..into an apartment.. so i'm not quite sure how it was communicated a dolly was not needed). On top of that, I was told (rudely) a dolly was an extra charge..

I've never heard such nonsense before in my life with a moving company.

I've had my dresser moved 4 times prior and it has always stayed protected until it was put into my bedroom in the apartment, and I've never had a problem.

Since they didn't have any assistance, and after my recommendation of having them contact the company (Big Boy Movers) to provide extra staff to help them move it, since I knew these two people could not, they decided to move it anyway, and took all of my clothes out of the drawers to make it lighter. My clothes were basically put in garbage bags, and set on my floor, no organization what-so-ever.
Again, I've had this dresser moved 4 times prior to this move, and NEVER have I ever had to take the clothes out of the drawers, or have the dresser unwrapped of it's protection before it has been placed in my apartment.

If you are using a company (e.g. UPACK) try to find people on your own if you are contracted with Big Boy Movers in any capacity. Moving Staffers is a good resource, but they really need to read and monitor the companies they are using for their client's moving and care for their possessions.

  5. Moving Staffers Review.

On a 1 to 10 scale Moving Staffers deserves a 2 and Im being generous, D- more appropriate. They arrived early(20 min) and worked steady but any attempt at common sense, well packed, well organized, well prepared loading was non existent! We found Waterford Crystal at the Bottom of the load, an Air Compressor on top of Framed Art, A Mitre Box Saw on upholstered Furniture.we provided 54 moving blankets, less then 25 were used to protect our furniture, 200 feet of 1/4 inch rope to secure blankets, Boxes etc but only 30 feet was used.Expensive Modern Desk Damaged, Air Compressor Damaged, file cabinet, lamp shades, end table all damaged. Only our excessive, xtra effort packing saved our things.

  6. Upstairs Apartment.

The guys were fast and very friendly. We had a 3 bedroom apartment upstairs. It was also an awfully hot day. They never let up until the job was done.
I would recommend them and use them again.

  7. Worst company ever!!

I paid your moving company $662, to destroy 75% of my furniture because your employees do not know how to load a truck. And you don't care, because you're not going to be responsible, I hope Better Business Bureau shut you down. Thanks for nothing!!

  8. What a wonderful experience!

The packers did an incredibly good and careful job. They saved me a bundle by getting everything carefully in one Pod. They were clean, pleasant and quick! They lowered my moving-stress level by 99%. And the company was clear, concise and easy to work with. Worth every penny! Please understand that the price was for packing only.

  9. Moving Staffers is recommended on the UPack website.

This company is recommended by UPack on their website. It is the main company they recommend.
Moving Staffers did not take any care in loading my furniture and sewing machines. No machines were tied or secured to truck. The rolling wheels were not locked after rolling them up ramp into UPack 28 foot trailer.
The movers did not arrive with appropriate packing materials and had to go get some items.
Large steel ladders were loaded on top of delicate machines. The movers did not have any normal moving tools such as blankets to separate machines. They rolled around in truck causing severe damage to 4 machines. They overpacked the truck, loading items such as a canoe and steps, suitcases on top of crates that were clearly marked ‘do not stack’. These crates were delivered by the Upack parent company. The damage took place based on incompetent loading, recommended by Upack, and the rolling around of my machines for the trip from Ventura CA to Denver Co where the 28 ft trailer was in storage for 8 months, then delivered to my house in Placerville, CO.
Moving Staffers would not pay for damages and Upack would not cover any damages even though they clearly recommend Moving Staffers as the main mover on their site, describing them as a network of movers.

  10. Biggest misstake EVER!

This company was recommended by UPack. What they did was anything but professional. I could of had high school kids do it would have been better. I provided boxes blankets and bubble wraps which they would not use. They packed things I said to leave off and then couldn't fit the rest of my furniture on. I had to get a second truck that cost me another $2,500. The damage that was done to my things is criminal. DO NOT USE THEM!

  11. So much destroyed.

My tables are ruined from them taping my sheets to them (sheets are ruined too). Every single box was crushed and ripped open. I'm still going through it all finding more and more damages to my belongings.

The truck was packed so unevenly that things had to be held up or they would have crushed my grandson and his friends when they unloaded the truck for me.

Completely disgusted. Never use them. My refrigerator is dented, my clothes are ripped, I'm just hoping that my bread machines and tv work.

  12. Awful!

I had an awful experience with Moving Staffers. They don't search for the best value when looking for movers. They actually booked me with a very expensive and lowly rated company. I wish I would have just done it myself. Second, when I called (several times) for help, your staff member Justin talked to me in such a disrespectful, unprofessional, berating way. He also refused to help me on multiple occasions until I went around or above him and he was forced to help. He also refused to transfer me over to a manager when I asked to speak with one, repeatedly saying "you'll get the same answer with them." This guy was the worst. Such poor customer service and relational skills. He also said that one mover was $50 an hour. Then when I was offered a refund by the company, he only gave me less than half of what it should have been. At $50 an hour, the refund should have been $320 but he gave me $180 and said that was the full amount, which was very far from the truth.

As for the moving company they paired me with, they forgot to book me, they over charged me. They were 6 hours late to move my stuff. Two of the staff got drunk/high on the job. They didn't take care of their employees and allow them to have a lunch before going to the second moving job. It was awful.

  13. Move from California to Colorado.

We recently moved from California to Colorado. We had two trailers full of our belongings. Apparently they were packed incorrectly in both trailers. We had antique furniture that was broken and these pieces cannot be replaced and as far as I know, repaired. Boxes marked 'fragile' were crushed. Dishes were broken, a piece of art from Italy was broken in about 20 pieces. We purchased over a hundred blankets and 12 boxes of bubble wrap. We wrapped everything individually and put pillows around some of the fragile items. They took a break and hinted for me to make them something to eat. I made them all peanut butter sandwiches. I supplied them with water all day. Something is wrong with this picture!! I really liked all of the crew except one who had an attitude. They also told me the second crew would be there at noon to pack us up in the second trailer and they didn't show until 6:30 p.m. We had to catch a flight and so had a neighbor supervise. NEVER AGAIN.

  14. Never again!

They packed our FRAGILE CHINA under boxes of HEAVY Books! I did not see it until it was unpacked. When I offer ropes to secure load, they refused, they kept saying, don't worry, it's secure. Well thru transit all the heavy boxes fell on the china and everything else. What a mess!
Plus, they packed the truck 90% within 2 hrs and pissed away 2 more hours doing I do not know.
Of course, no one is responsible for damage during transit.
    NEVER AGAIN!!

  15. Worst Move Ever -Don't Use Them!!

I am extremely disappointed that ABF "U-Pack" recommend Moving Staffers!! They were extremely challenging to work with. They wanted paperwork signed immediately; however, couldn't accommodate both ends with help. They were supposed to have sent a 4 man crew but only 3 showed up. When I asked the crew chief what happened to the 4th guy he said I should be thankful I got three!! Not that moving isn't stressful enough, the movers they sent (Birmingham Moving Storage, Birmingham, MI) were belligerent, unprofessional and unresponsive to my moving needs. There were numerous instances they said "We don't do that" or mumbled derogatory comments under their breadth. I have moved at least 12 times for business and this crew from Birmingham Moving Storage was by far the absolute worst!! When I called Moving Staffers and told them about my concerns, they were unresponsive. When I finally spoke with a Moving Staffers supervisor, he offered me $150 for my inconvenience - what an insult!!
