  1. WIthout a doubt! DO NOT BE A FOOL!

I am embarrassed to have to write this. I am. I am normally good about doing my due diligence but I was moving too fast. I trusted a "broker" and hence here I am with the rest having to write to this review to do my human responsibility to others to warn you about this scam/shady "company" as I say "company" sarcastically. They are a scam. You will lose your expensive items, have no contact with them after the fact, and will basically have to eat your losses. They are scam and why they are allowed to stay in business is any of our guesses. What a shame. You will be forced to buy all new things. You will be out of pocket for the amount these scam artists charge you and then for new items. DO NOT DO THIS! As if your FATHER were talking. *DO NOT USE THIS NORTHWEST RELOCATION** DO NOT DO IT!!

  2. Horrible horrible service!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! They lie, delay, do not answer the phone, etc. I still have not received my belongings. It has been over 3 weeks since they picked up my stuff. It is still in Oregon, no idea at all when it will be loaded and delivered....as in zero idea!!! Of course they wanted double what was quoted to me, and still expect even more upon delivery, should it actually be delivered.

  3. Horrible/Nightmare Experience

NW Relocation is the worst moving I have ever dealt with period. Came to recost my delivery and couldn't take all of my boxes because of different sizes of boxes. I was promised 40 boxes and they took 20 boxes, and I told them to take my file cabinet (which they never did), this had all my financial / Identity information, which was left at my previous home. It is a very horrible experience, 2 months later, when their not answering their phones. This is a cost of living move and I'm on a fixed income and they demanded a sizable tip OR some of my items will not make it to my new home. And Finally, they acted like children stating that they were "Tired and Exhausted and wanted to go home," & "If you didn't get your Sh*t together They were going to leave me stranded and not return"

  4. Nightmare experience the whole way through.

Northwest Relocation is the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. We moved across the country for a new job. Before the first deposit was given the customer service was good. They promised to be a good company to use for the move and pack our fragile items for use (which we paid for and was in the contract).

After they had our deposit, I could not get a hold of them more often than not, and when I did they were exceptionally rude. They did not pack the fragile items (TV's) in TV boxes, they through blankets over them and called it good. This cavalier attitude toward their job continued throughout the packing process. In the end, the items we packed ourselves arrived ok, but all the items the "professionals" packed were broken.

We were remodeling a house and needed our household items stored for a short time (a few weeks). We communicated this clearly to the moving company and they agreed to store our items for a fee. We agreed to pay the fee for the delivery delay. The next we heard from them was that our items were loaded and in route. They placed them on the truck before we requested and we were not ready for them. I called and got a "it's your problem now" response from the owner of the company! We were right in the middle of a remodel when the household goods arrived after we had paid to have them stored for a few weeks!

When the household items arrived, every box was upside down. The labeled fragile boxes were under the boxes labeled heavy. All the TV's were broken and one just missing, the drill press was broke, as was the entertainment center, refrigerator, upright freezer, both front loaders (washer and dryer), book shelves, one of the file cabinets (both were also upside down), our hand-made headboard, etc. The shipping boxes were split open and plastic tubs were crushed (Christmas ornaments). I don't mean one or two either, every box and tub was either split open or crushed as it came out of the truck at delivery.

We figured the claims department would handle the broken items and pay for them as a good honest business (that wants good customer relations) should. Repair, replace, or fairly compensate for the damaged items. We received the claim back today August 14, 2021. Our move was February 10, 2021. Six long months later during which time we had to keep all the broken items and material for the claims department adjuster to look at and verify per contract. They never came to look at the stuff in 6 months, neither did they call to ask questions or more information. We followed the claims instructions to the letter to get just compensation. Most of the broken items were denied by their claims department even though all the items were listed as damaged on the manifest except for the items we found damaged in the crushed boxes opened later. Of all the damage done to our household items, they agreed to pay $405 to compensate us for their negligence and our hassle and heartache for the past 6 months. They considered this fair and adequate compensation for 3 broken large flat-screen TV's, one missing (stolen?) large flat-screen TV, a custom made king sized headboard, a front loader washing machine, a front loader clothes dryer, a destroyed entertainment center, a broken drill press (shows how hard they actually were on our stuff), a broken kitchen refrigerator, a broken upright freezer, a broken bookshelf, a broken file cabinet, several broken antique frames and ornaments, and many other smaller household items.

If you chose to use this company after reading this review and ones that are like it, that is your choice. Be warned, you are inviting a group of hyperactive guys with hammers and bad tempers into your home. This is how we feel, that we were robbed and vandalized then told to be grateful for it and pay many thousands of dollars for the experience. We will never be using this company again.

  5. Long distance move from WA to FL

I hired NW relocation for my move from Washington State to Florida. It took them 2 months and 2 weeks to delivery my household goods. I moved into an apartment temporarily so the the majority of my goods had to be moved into storage my storage unit in FL. The movers never took off the moving blankets from my furniture so it wasn't until I moved into my home 8 1/2 months later that I was able to see all of the damage. Several of my boxes were literally crushed, my headboards (king and queen) were damaged (1 beyond fixable), lamps were broken, and a few things never arrived, my vacuum had to have been dropped because there were internal broken pieces and it would not work. I submitted a claim for damage but because it was postmarked 1 day beyond their 9 month cut-off they denied my claim for damages. I hope to never move again, but if I do, I will never use this company nor would I recommend their services. If I could give anything less than 1 star, I would.

  6. 49 days without property

Why does my property still remain in Oregon after 49 days?

Why have I had to put out money for a bed and other items because of what Heidi in customer services calls a miscommunication?

Why do you feel it’s ok to treat people this way?

Why does the BBB give you an F ?

Why have you done the same thing to other people?

Why when I told you customer service person I had damaged property she tells me to wait until I had all my shipment before I file claim?

Am I to expect more damage and lost items?

Why have I been told over and over my shipment is loading and you will contact me?

Why do I find out the truck your customer service people said was to load my shipment wasn’t even coming to my area?

Why can United Moving company not get updates?

Why do you have a phone number no one answers?

    Why?

  7. Do not use NW Relocation

They are trash. They never answer their phones during business hours. They say that they’ll return voicemails, but they never do. Do not use this dumpster fire service. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

  8. Lies, theft, careless damage

Do not use this company! Several of our belonging led were “lost” or broken. They also put a 9ft gouge in our brand new wood floor and refused to compensate us for the damage.

  9. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

NW Relocation picked up my belongings from a storage unit in Salem, OR on 2/9/21. The foreman of the crew who picked up my belongings had me fill out a credit card form to pay 1/2 of my balance, and after I filled it out, he said he could not get anyone in the office to take his call to run the card. He assured me that he would call them again, and that once they ran my card I would get an emailed receipt from them. I left Oregon for myself several days later to drive across the country to Georgia, and by the time I arrived in GA, my card had still not been run. Emails and calls to the company went unanswered. I finally called the moving broker I had used, and asked them what I needed to do. The broker was able to make contact with the moving company, and Zoey from NW Relocation informed me that my payment had been declined, and there was a "note on my account" that I would need to call my bank to have the error fixed. I was dumbfounded that a company would take my things, claim that my card was declined, and never once call me to rectify the payment issue for THREE WHOLE WEEKS. I hung up with Zoey, and called my bank to figure out what had gone wrong, as there was more than enough in my account to cover the balance owing. My bank informed me that the transaction HAD been approved by them, but something in the vendor's processing side had pulled the transaction back. So I called Zoey again, told her everything the bank had told me, and asked her to run my card again. She said that the lady who normally runs the payments wasn't in the office, but that they would run my card as soon as she came in, and I would get an emailed receipt. 5 days later, and they STILL had not run my card. I called the broker again, and said I needed them to step in to get this issue fixed. Not only was NW Relocation not running my payment, but they also just had my things in storage and hadn't even assigned a driver to my belongings because of the non-payment. I was livid. The broker was finally able to get them to run my card. Then I had to go through 2 weeks of them "not being able to find a driver" for my route, and my belongings did not leave Oregon until 3/19/21, a full 5.5 weeks after I had left Oregon. NW Relocation assured me, in writing, that my belongings would be delivered the end of my delivery window on 3/26/21. I, again, had to have my broker step in to get those updates for me, because NW Relocation stopped answering my calls, and my emailed requests for updates were met with unprofessional, vague, and snarky, replies. One reply to my broker, that I was copied on, said (and I quote) "...our office is small and we are not able to catch each call as it comes in." They either need to expand their staff, or invest in better training, so that calls can be answered in a more timely manner. My belongings FINALLY arrived 5 days late (on 4/1/21), and the truck driver forced me to pay an extra $75 for a "long carry" because he said he could not get his truck into my driveway. The driveway is 125ft long, and the truck (plus his cab) was 72ft long. There was more than enough room for the truck. I insisted that he can back into the driveway, and he said (quite rudely, I will add) he would be willing to just unload my stuff into the end of the driveway if I don't want to pay the $75. That was absolutely not an option. I saw no other option at the time to get my belongings off his truck and where they needed to be, so I had to pay the extra $75. From beginning to end it was a nightmare to work with NW Relocation.

  10. Horrible movers

My move was assigned to this company via broker that did not inform me in advance of who would be taking my household goods from left Puyallup, WA 2/2 to Katy, TX . The cost of my move went up by $1500. They lied about how long it would take to get to me. I expected my item 2/9, and they did not arrive until 3/11. The customer service reps provide you with no information, sometimes they answer their phones, the voice-mail isn't on and they never return phone calls.

My items sat in Oregon for 2+ weeks before they even got on the road. Then my items sat in Texas for 2+ weeks before they got to me. When I did get my items, I discovered that two area rugs were missing, all of my family photos, a TV stand, they stoled laundry detergent and fabric softener. My 55inch TV is broke and pictures were broken.

I would recommend doing your research before you hire anyone. I was unable to do that because I was not told in advance that they were coming to get my stuff . I would have canceled. I do research and would have definitely passed on them and rented a Uhaul. They should absolutely be out of business. They operate under different names and their are multiple pages of complaints about them on Facebook.

Stay away from these people at any cost.

  11. Do Not Use

My move was brokered through Trinity Relocation Group and NW Relocation was the carrier they contracted with. I am extremely dissatisfied with both companies but this review is for NW Relocation.

To make a long story short, our household goods were picked up 9/21/2020 and delivered 12/11/2020.

The bed was missing, found, and delivered 12/21/2020. That is 3 months that I and my 74-year-old father, who is handicapped and wheelchair bound, lived in an empty apartment!

I have a timeline of events consisting of all the phone calls and emails to both Trinity and NW in trying to get an answer on when our items would arrive. It was always a similar response, “a driver and route has been assigned, we will update you when the items have left the warehouse”, or, “we are just waiting for a trailer to become available”. I couldn’t even get a vague idea of how long it may be. I gathered my facts because I seriously thought I was going to have to hire an attorney to get our items back.

Bottom Line: NW Relocation out of Oregon was impossible to work with. Of course, there were contractual clauses with NW, (they are allowed 30 days to deliver due to unforeseen circumstances or you receive a $25 per day discount for every day they are late) and my issues have been resolved, though not to my satisfaction.

I do not recommend going through a broker for a move, nor do I recommend using NW Relocation Services. They should not be in business.

  12. Over 60 days past first available delivery date

This company picked up my mother in laws belongings on NOV 22 in Eugene, OR for move to VA. First available delivery date was Dec 2!!!! We are now over 60 days past that!!!! Still NO expected delivery date or communication from this company. My MIL is sleeping on an inflatable mattress and has 3 changes of clothing. We want and NEED her belongings as her mental and emotional stress from this situation is causing a decline in her health.

  13. Sell it all and buy New - before hiring this company!

Initially quoted and agreed at $4330.00 for Interstate move. Day of pick-up / closing on house, raised to $8119.05 __ Took 40 Days to deliver items! lost over $2000.00 worth of personal belongings, and offered $96 to settle (no that's not a typo). This is the absolute worst company you can hire or even reach out to! buyer beware! you will get ripped off! That is one thing they can guarantee. oh and if you did hire them, just wait till you need to get ahold of them! you have a long road ahead of you!! sell everything and buy new! it will be cheaper and less stressful then dealing with this garbage company! they even have a FB page designated to how bad they are!!! https://www.facebook.com/northwestrelocationishorrid

  14. Do not use this moving company

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but our experience with NW Relocation/GTS Shipping was so horrendously frustrating that I felt compelled to share and hopefully spare you the headache. We moved from Seattle to Chicago. Our belongings arrived over 6 weeks after they were initially loaded into the truck. This was in complete violation of the contract both parties signed, guaranteeing delivery within 30 days. Searching for answers, we contacted customer service numerous times and they were unresponsive, unreliable and quite frankly, completely unhelpful. Consider yourself lucky if they pick up your phone call (during normal business hours), return a voicemail or email. For weeks they were unable to tell us the location of the truck, how many deliveries still needed to be completed before us, and when we could expect our belongings. Completely unacceptable for a company you’re paying thousands of dollars to ship and track your belongings. Additionally, when we finally did receive our belongings, we discovered two large stains on our sofa as a result of negligence within the moving process. Do yourself a favor and find yourself another moving company. I would never recommend NW Relocation/GTS Shipping to anyone looking for a mover.

  15. Worst Service never ever I had.

Recently moved. Almost 50% items are broken or missing. At the time of delivery, delivery team provided truck parking address to check the truck. When I reach that place I didn't found any truck. When I call them they didn't respond and when I reach out NW/GTS Shipping company they said delivered everything. Almost to set up my home back to normal position it was nearly 15 K from pocket. They charge nearly 10K $ from my pocket. If possible I want to give 0 rating.
