  1. Movers.

Absolute worst move!.  I moved from Seattle to San Antonio.  I was told 3-4 days to get my things. Drove as fast as I could to beat them to SA.  They hadn't even loaded the stuff.  When it finally arrived 12 days later.  Things were broken, destroyed or mashed.  Brand new boxes were torn or smashed.  The dog food carrier had only 3 wheels. Cups, glasses broken. Plastic totes that have moved three time had the lids broken.  I have used Mayflower and United both and NOTHING was ever broken.

They flat out had no respect for my belongings. The adage " You get what you pay for "holds true for this company.  According to the BBB they are not accredited through them although they have it on the web site that they are.   The manager Gil lied about delivery date.  I had to have somebody drive 2 hours to be here as I had to work.  I should only have paid for what wasn't smashed or broken.  CASH ONLY, BEWARE. .

  2. 1st Class Service.

I hired NW Relocation to move me out to Oregon last month and I have only great things to say about them.
Peggy contacted me regarding my upcoming move and of all the salespeople that reached out to me (there were a lot!) she was by far the most easy going and explained everything to me plainly and without making me feel like she was ruching to get a sale. While they couldn't do an in home estimate cause they were in OR she explained that if I provided her with a list of items she could guarantee an estimate within 10%. Peggy let me in on the secret that a lot of the Van Lines "pad" their estimates so this was a sort of "build your own package move" that could actually save me a bunch of money. She on multiple occasions urged me to list everything; every box, every ironing board counts she said. Her exact words were "No one wants surprises on moving day." I was even able to update my list of items through their software when I started packing and found I had more than I had thought.
Mark, the driver, was fantastic. He was an older gentleman but you could tell had been doing this for decades. Everything was wrapped like a snuggled baby; even my crappy ikea bookshelves that would barely stand up. He explained that my move would not have any storage in transit so the few weeks that they had told me it might take turned into less than 2.
On delivery they reassembled everything, not a thing was damaged and I don't think it could have been given the wrapping. Truly a perfect performance.
I was so happy with my experience that I sent in gift cards to Peggy and Mark for their extra efforts in making my move that much easier.
    5 stars for NW Relocation.

  3. Satisfied!!

I recently moved with NW Relocation from Portland, OR to Chicago and was very happy with my move. The movers were great and professional and the office personal was courteous and knowable. The price was a little more than quoted but I took a few more things that I didn't sell at garage sale. Edgar and Thomas picked me up and were very quick and on time. They wrapped my mattress and boxspring with plastic wrap so it wouldn't get dirty and they also packed my tv since I didn't have the original box. The delivery to my building was a little tricky since I live in an apt downton and had to have a smaller truck deliver. The original estimate I received from Ryan did include a shuttle fee but was a little more than expected since I took more things than originally planned. I would say all in all the experience was pretty good. Much better than driving a truck myself and based on some of the other reviews I've read online from other companies I think I did pretty good picking these guys. So I hope this helps others in their decision process.         .

  4. Highly Recommended!

I picked NW Relocation after reading reviews and calling a few companies. They were the most responsive in terms of returning my phone calls quickly and answering my questions. I was just a little disappointed that when I first called, the move date I asked about was free, but when I called to confirm it a day later, it had been booked. Luckily, I was able to schedule for the following day. Three movers arrived on time. All three were friendly and courteous.  I can say that I felt confident throughout that the movers were taking good care of our things, and were very trustworthy. Most importantly, our belongings arrived with very little damage, if any, and the move was finished within a week. All in all, I would highly recommend NW Relocation for a very efficient, professional and lo-stress moving experience! .

  5. I'll show you my pics you will never use this company!

We booked a moving truck via the budget.  I was quoted several hundred less than what I got charged.  I even sold many of my items before the movers got there so there was much less than what I had gotten the quote on.
The entire booking via budget was a mess!  Then I was told that new relocation was my assigned mover and to contact them for any future communications.  I was promised a set date for pick up but then was told that I had to pay an additional 200$ for that day.   We had also made arrangements to have the entire bill prepaid by credit card.  Movers get to my home and try to demand cash or money order.  Argued me and I could barely understand the guys because their English was so bad.
I was told to pick a first available delivery date only to find out that they will not even load your stuff to leave until that date.  Made no sense to me!  This company is not open on weekends and there is no one to help you.  I called numerous times and would only get voice mails and no one returned calls.  There were times when I got through that they would put me on hold only to disconnect me.
We finally got through to pay the bill in full to find out they had all wrong numbers and a wrong delivery address.  Corrected info many times with company only to be told they still had the wrong info.
The driver called my emergency backup number instead of my cell.  Yelled at my mom that I had to pay the bill cash.  My husband called the driver back and explained that it was paid in full and the driver with very very bad English yelled at my husband for at least 10 minutes that we had to give him cash. The driver was unwilling to contact the office for updated info.
Finally, delivery was made and my boxes were all smashed up.  ( these were new haul boxes) one box was so smashed it had some liquid all over it.  All boxes but stacked in my garage and with no care or order of what was in it.
Computer monitor packed in original box was damaged.

If you do not believe me email me and I will send you copies of my pics, both of my items on the truck all over the place and in my garage.  Also, most boxes were placed upside down and boxes ripped up. I would have posted but they are on my phone.

No way to treat someone's belongings!  Especially for 2400$  worst moving experience of my life! Next time I will rent a haul and do it myself.

  6. Great Job Guys!!

I had a dilemma; my sister used these guys and had a great experience, but things online seemed to indicate that they are terrible. Since I know and trust my sister and have never met any of the peoplle online, I figured I would go out on a limb and try out Northwest Relocation. Overall it was a very smoothe process. Of course I was VERY detailed with them and I bothered them a lot, but in the end I was impressed with the way everything was handled. The crew worked efficiently and politely and the customer service helped me with any questions I had. Everything only took just under two weeks for the cross country move.  .

  7. What a pleasure! I highly recommend them!

I was struggling to find a good moving company in the area that met our pricing needs. Luckily I found Northwest Relocation. Their staff was very friendly and helpful. They patiently worked with me to arrange a third party move. Everything worked out perfect. Our client was very pleased with the quality of service. I frequently encounter communication problems with companies I contract out of state. Understandable since companies end up having to communicate with two or more different people as opposed to just one. But Northwest Relocation handled it like a pro. They kept in constant contact ensuring I was aware of things every step of the way. My company intends to use Northwest Relocation for any needs we might have in the Portland area in the future.

  8. I came out of this unscathed.

I was driving home from work one day and came across these guys. They were moving my neighbor down the street. He said he had a good experience, so I called them and got a quote. I used them to move me to New York at the beginning of this year and they did a great job. They packed my TV, wrapped my furniture in blankets, and were very fast. Delivery was a little annoying since it is a 21 day window, but they let me know when my items were just two days away so I was prepared for them. I paid $1400 to move a 1 bedroom apartment that was 1900 lbs, and $250 for a shuttle when I arrive. Total was &1650, still lower than most bids. Nice people and great service!

  9. Do not trust these guys.

Nothing these guys say in the sales process every becomes true except that the reputation of moving companies is horrible. Guess what? These guys are probably the worst ones out there. Where do I start? They claim to use Northwest based drivers, but our driver was from New York and doesn't even work for them. They nickle and dime you for everything. They even had the nerve to charge for extra stairs. They don't do any research on the destination, so they leave that entirely up to you. Lies, lies, lies. Do not do business with them.

  10. Criminal & Unethical.

Don't ever use this company. Unless of course you like to be charged way more than they quote and like the surprise of finding out days after they pick up your stuff. If you are lucky, you will get your belongings within 8 weeks of when they pick it up. Oh, and don't expect anyone from NW Relocation to ever communicate with you.   Bottom line: this company's actions are unethical and straight up criminal.

  11. Worst moving experience ever.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..for the sake of your bank account do not trust the good reviews on here, those were the rare circumstances.  All the negative reviews are definitely the norm for NW Relocations.  I will spare all of you the reading and not type my full experience on here but lets just say the original estimate to move from Portland to Phoenix was $1200 well below any other offer from other companies which is why we went with NW..big mistake, by the end of our move the cost more than doubled to $2300.  Do not trust this company, they do not care about their customers.  The sales lady Peggy is extremely nice and helpful however she will sell you on a dream that the rest of the company will far from deliver.  TIm one of the owners (so he claims) does not care about doing right for his customers and he knows that once he has everything you own he can call the shots and you have no choice but to go with it if you intend of getting your stuff back.  I am sure this company might be ok for local moves but there is no way I would ever trust them with even my enemies stuff.

  12. Condition of Goods.

Absolutely the worse experience possible.  TRULY A NIGHTMARE!  The Sales Rep said that their transport time was typically taking 5 to 7 days and it took 14 days.  Then, when my items arrived many were so damaged it looked as though it was almost intentional.  I had plates that were bubbled wrapped and placed into plastic totes that were literally shattered.  My dresser had huge gouges in it and almost anything that was breakable was broken. Everything was also covered in a thin film of dirt so when they sat things on my new carpet, it left a mark.   Also, they said that they would call me 24 hours prior to delivery and they ended up calling me 5 hours before they arrived at my door step.  I am strongly warning you not to do business with this company.  You will regret it if you do.

  13. A lot of broken and damaged items.

When they arrived, the driver presented me with the paperwork to sign before unloading the truck. He was hours late and I was tired, so I signed it. First mistake. Pretty much everything that could be broken was broken. They dismantled a reclining chair that was never meant to be taken apart; a lot of the hardware was missing and the driver had no idea how to even begin putting it together. The assembly bolts for the bed were stripped and, once again, the driver had no idea how to even begin assembling it. My desk was crushed to splinters when it came off the truck. There were broken bits and pieces of my vacuum cleaner scattered in the street. It had to be discarded. Two small tables are missing. Most of the boxes were dumped upside down so I couldn't read the labels. Heavy boxes were stacked on top of lighter boxes so the lighter boxes were crushed. I would have done better to have a bonfire before I moved and hire two drunks with a pickup truck to move the unbreakables. .
