  1. Stay Far, Far Away From This Company!

Worst moving experience ever. The team that arrived to pack were close to on time, polite, and courteous. There was one older gentleman packing boxes who did not seem to know what to do but he received guidance from the rest of the crew. We were present for the move but did not closely supervise the workers, as it did not seem necessary given the mind-numbingly long assurances by Robert, the "Senior Moving Associate" of their level of training and expertise. Things seemed to go smoothly.

At the delivery end, however, there were many issues. First of all, the driver Sammy got there ahead of schedule and was fantastic, but the 3-man work crew was 1-1/2 hours late. They had no tools and did not know how to use the equipment. One was very overweight and said that his feet hurt and he did not want to carry anything (REALLY?). They were trying to use their keys to cut or break the tape since they had no blades. My father watched one guy for 20 minutes unwrapping the blankets from one piece of furniture. Sammy the driver, who said he was not supposed to unload, finally pitched in and helped because it was taking so long. The delivery took about 4 hours longer than he had estimated it would.

None of the boxes were marked, so it was impossible to tell where any of them should be delivered. Two very heavy wardrobe boxes full of garage stuff ended up in the upstairs bedroom closet two flights up from the garage. Many full heavy boxes of household goods were left in the garage. Not a single wardrobe box was employed to hang clothes: clothes were layered into the box between layers of shoes so that they arrived not only impossibly wrinkled but also dirty. One hanging canvas protector of formal gowns was dropped into the bottom of a regular large box and then filled with heavy items on top of it. Two lamps were packed into the boxes upside down, arriving with broken necks. A desk leg is splintered and an upright hutch badly damaged. Several plates arrived broken.

To top it all off, the movers deeply scratched the brand new floors during the delivery of the items. Some of the scratches are three feet long.

I have tried call after call and email email to reach someone about the damages to no avail. Have even done an LLC search to discover the name of the "Managing Member" Sanjar Fayziyev and quality director Phoebe Rossi.

Reviews referenced on their website are obviously faked. See YELP reviews for more horror stories.

  2. The Worst Moving Company!!

I requested quotes for a move from PA to MA in November. A salesman called and requested a verbal inventory of the boxes that we were moving. I told him the amount of boxes that we were anticipating that we will have. We had no furniture to move, so he guesstimated that we had 500 cubic feet of inventory. I have no idea what 500 cubic feet looks like, so I trusted him because he is the expert.
I received a call a few weeks before the move requesting another review of our inventory. I went over the inventory again with this gentleman and he stated we should up it to 900 cubic feet which increased the quote from the initial $1800 for 500 cubic feet to around $2600 for 900 cubic feet.
On pickup day the movers were 4.5 hours late. There were 3 guys (I don't know why this matters other than backing up the rest of the reviews but they were Russian) and a 27 foot rented Enterprise box truck. They did a half a** job tagging boxes as they moved the items and they were quickly throwing things in the truck with very little organization, which took up a ton of space. They came back after loading the truck and gave us a BLANK inventory list and told us that it was actually 1800 cubic feet and gave us a revised estimate of over $8,000!! When I asked about the discrepancy in the price they got a manager on the phone and the woman was incredibly RUDE to me. She spoke to me as if she was speaking to her worst enemy. When I asked about the blank inventory list the mover opened the back of the truck and said "if you want to pull all of this out and take inventory be my guest". So now we do not have record of any of our belongings that they have possession of. Finally as they were leaving they stated that they are taking our stuff to Baltimore Maryland for storage. We were initially told that our belongings were being stored in CT. Now we don't even know where our stuff is.
I called and spoke to Jessica, Anna, and Jeff several times to complain about the entire process and one said we will work on getting you a better rate to decrease the price and then they stated they would call me back. I never get a call back!! The last time I spoke to Jeff he stated he would not work with us on the price and that we would have to accept the delivery and personally conduct our own inventory list upon delivery and if we feel there is a discrepancy we would have to call their claims department and file a claim. I asked him how I was supposed to know if there is a discrepancy when I do not have an inventory list to compare to. He got very frustrated with me and kept interrupting me, so I was not getting anywhere with him. I contacted Jessica at dispatch and she stated that she will find out when they can deliver our belongings and she would call me back that day or the next. Of course I did not get a phone call so I called her and she stated that it was going to take a few days to coordinate the route. I am SOOOOO afraid that we are not going to get our belongings back from them. We have already paid them over $4,000 and we are getting nothing but the run around. I do not know if I need to call the police or what I need to do to get my belongings back. Please do not use these people!! Also if anyone has any advice on how to get my stuff back I would really appreciate some input!

  3. Cross Country Move.

So far my experience has been very poor. My sales person Mark (there is an employeee by this name) was amazing until the day of pick up. It went south from there. #1 he stopped answering his phone or text when we started having challenges. My quote ended up $2200 higher after the truck was loaded. The reason was because even though they say “wrapping” is included what they don’t say is that just means blankets. Not tape, cardboard, saran wrap that holds the blankets in place. The movers came with a box truck smaller than what was discussed and informed me they wouldn’t make 2 trips so to pick what was important to take and what could be left behind. I’m moving cross country. I wanted ALL my belongings. Well things were left for new home owners because the truck was too small. My husband walked down the side of our home as the movers closed the truck doors and said “do you guys have any intention of taking all these tools, ladder etc” they Reopened the door and threw those items in. I was appalled and thought good luck getting those on the other side. I had paid $200 extra for some heavy items.(which they tried to charge double on site) A safe being one of them. The movers had refused to move it. Head mover in charge said “mark your sales guy can tell you whatever he wants but that doesn’t mean I’m going to do it. He’s not my boss” I had to argue with them and finally they put it on the truck but then stated they didn’t guarantee the arrival to my new home. Of course another discussion was had as to that comment. They also tried to get me to sign a portion of the contract with incorrect pricing I wasn’t agreeing to it. He said “don’t worry this isn’t the real price” I said “then cross it off and change it before I sign” He said “no I don’t like my form messy” I refused to sign until pricing was changed even though it was still higher then originally but not as high as on the form he wanted me to sign. And since my stuff was already on the truck I was stuck. Now I’m across the country and have had no luck getting in touch to schedule my delivery. I’m reading all these HORRIBLE reviews and am guessing I’ve been taken? I suppose I will have to get the authorities involved soon.

  4. Do Not Hire This Company.

I hired this company in September for a move from MI to NC. The negative reviews you are reading on this site are spot on - the "good" reviews are fake and planted by Presidential operatives. My original estimate was for $3,095 and it shot up to over $5,000 after pick up. I went 5 weeks before my things were delivered and that was only after law enforcement intervention. In those 5 weeks, I placed many phone calls, was yelled at by "Anna", given false information by "Brie", swindled by "Bobby the Mover" (sales guy), and given the run around by "Jessica" in dispatch. I have documentation, including photos, text messages, emails, phone logs, and voicemails. Here is a synopsis of their MO:

    1. you go online searching for a move estimate - someone from Presidential calls you within minutes. This person will tell you how other companies will try to steal from you and manipulate you. This person will take you to a "DOT" website to show you that Presidential has their own trucks and drivers. This is an outright LIE. The broker all their deals - they do not own any trucks. The truck that picked up my things was a rental. The truck that delivered was a broker.

    2. They "white glove" you through the estimate, including what seems like extra care given to your inventory. This isn't so that they can give you an accurate "sight-unseen" cu ft estimate, it's their initial casing of your goods. The cu ft estimate will go up. And other charges that weren't on your original binding estimate will show up, like "origin/destination" and watch their estimate mileage. My actual mileage from door to door was 737 miles, yet they estimate 912. They tack on a fuel surcharge and other mileage based charges so this matters. They are deliberately overcharging you.

    3. Pick up will be ill defined. I had less than 12 hours notice of when the pick up crew would actually arrive. My pick up date was 9/16/17. The crew who arrived to pick up my things was 3 Russians. Two barely spoke English. AFTER my goods were packed and loaded onto the truck, I was given a "revised" estimate for $5036.40. Remember, my original estimate was for $3095.00. I was told to contact my salesperson (Bobby the Mover) about the discrepancy. I tried repeatedly to get an answer from Bobby as to what the extra charges were for or why the estimated deviated from the original. No luck. And I can prove that with a string of emails.

    4. Delivery. Bobby assured me that even though they have up to 18 days after your FAD (first available date) that goods are delivered within 1-3 days because their system is so efficient. This is a LIE. My FAD was 9/22/17. My goods were not delivered until 10/21/17. I was forced to rent and buy household items while I waited for delivery. I was forced to buy new clothes so that I could dress professionally for work because they lied about delivery to get me to sign the contract. Every single time I called dispatch to get a delivery update I was given one story or another as to where my goods were or when they would arrive. I was repeatedly told by "Jessica" that the dispatch manager was out sick and the only person in their entire organization with access to the delivery schedule was the dispatch manager - so I would have to call back.

I filed a police report locally (in my new city). They were present when my goods were delivered. The driver initially declined to allow me to take delivery because I was refusing to pay the inflated estimate. It was only through the Texas DMV and local law enforcement intervention that they were able to compel the brokered driver to open the truck and deliver my goods. There were broken and missing items in my shipment. Had I not had the support of LE, I would have had to pay the inflated amount just to get my stuff back.

    5. Payment. They will demand a deposit up front. This can be paid via cash, credit card, check, ACH bank transfer. If you pay via ACH, you legally have 60 days to "cancel" the transaction with your bank. If you pay with a credit card you can dispute the charges. You are out of luck if you pay in cash or check (unless you stop payment on the check before it is cashed). Where they really get you is on delivery. They only accept USPS money order or cash. They do this so that you cannot pull back the transaction in any way - this is why they ask for a small deposit and much larger balance at delivery.

I am not an uneducated person who couldn't read her contract, as "Anna" in customer service was so kind to point out in one of my numerous phone calls with her. I was deliberately swindled by a criminal syndicate. Please don't hire them and become their next victim.

  5. Moving.

Today I went to the address on the bills and contract papers they have given me, 3006 Avenue E Arlington TX , there is no Presidential Moving Services company, please find the attachment I took a photo of that location, and also inquired the next door business people over there there are all telling all bad thing about this movers, and also told me I am not the first person there are so many others are also searching like me. I have no idea I am going to get back my items or not, I lost my hopes and please be aware of these Movers don't fall in their tactics. with my lost resort I reported this to Plano TX police department.

  6. Move from Champaign IL to California.

I'm not a person to normally complain about things and try to reason with people, but this company is unreasonable hands down. First of all, the quote that was originally given to us is twice as much as they quoted us. They picked our things up on December 15 and confirmed that our things would be delivered December 22 at the latest. Now I understand things come and holidays and so on, but I do not accept phone calls and emails and texts not being accepted. Also I do not accept the very rude customer service! I rather not be lectured by someone who claims to be customer service that we can afford blow up beds, saying "Do you think we will steal your stuff, your stuff means nothing to us, and lastly "it's not our problem". Who is customer service us or them??

Anyway now we are a point of no return. We have basically lost hope of getting our stuff in general, and it's hard to try to explain to my young children where their toys and things that comfort them. My husband has started his new job and our missing things have really made it hard for him to get things started. I just want answers about our things. I'm tired of sleeping on blow up mattresses and becoming seriously depressed coming home to a completely empty place instead of trying to make it a home. We are coming to a point where we will have to declare a loss and will be contacting Department of transportation! I can no longer stay this way! And kept being told they are behind or being made to look like I'm the bad person for wanting to know a delivery date. If you guys don't like getting lectured or hassled it's not my problem!

Please if anyone from Presidential can contact me and give me real answers instead of making me go in circles that would be the best. I just want my thing in one piece and all accounted for.

  7. Happy new years!!

I will have a wonderful new year now. You all are amazing. Not only was I picked up on time NO damage and deliver 4 days later NO damage. Happy new year to you and to me for sure. Much appreciated Jack.

  8. Still waiting.

I find that lack of communication from this "professional" company to be laughable. Before I left my deposit, [NAME EDIT] answered my calls and e-mails. Now that they have had my belongings for over a week I can't get anyone to call me back with a delivery window.

You can't "track" your shipment via their website like they claim. All you're doing is sending someone an e-mail with the tracking number that goes unanswered. I have left numerous messages for dispatch but they don't respond. I called from a separate number the other day and [NAME EDIT] did answer. She left me on hold for about 20 minutes while she "checked with her dispatch" only to come back and tell me she will have to call me back tomorrow with the delivery window. Of course, that never happened. I'm just trying to get an ETA, it shouldn't be this difficult and unorganized.

My quote was ridiculously off. No one from Quality Assurance ever called me before my pickup to go over my inventory like I was told. I contacted [NAME EDIT] but he "could no longer help me". I had to speak to [NAME EDIT] in QA. Again, I left messages for [NAME EDIT] and no one had the decency to call me back.

Pick-up was moved to my backup date and the crew arrived 3.5 hours late. At least dispatch was nice enough to let me know they would be late. They showed up without uniforms in an Enterprise rental truck, not a Presidential owned truck. When I asked them questions they didn't know anything about the company. I am doubting their stance on not contracting out their jobs. I will say, the 3 men from the Charlotte crew that did the pickup were thorough and fast. I have my fingers crossed that my belongings don't arrive broken. They used a dolly to take everything down the flight of steps at my apartment. Even my fragile boxes that I asked them not too.

I will update my review when or IF I ever hear back from anyone from Presidential about my delivery. My next step is to contact the Attorney General of Texas to help me get answers. We know they answer the claims that come into the office. Then it will be the news stations, I have a great story to tell and the recorded conversations to share as well.

I believe now all the positive reviews are written by Presidential employees and not customers to help their, seems to be well deserved, poor image.

  9. Moving Pros.

These guys were pros. I was treated well from the first phone call that was answered, to pick up, to delivery. All team members that assisted in the move were very kind, knowledgeable, and available (which was huge) in my eyes. I dealt with Stacy who deserves 5 stars, as well as Alec, Steven, and Johnny who moved my furniture. Definitely recommend Presidential Moving to all.

  10. Beware of these movers.

Its been 6 weeks I have not received my stuff that they promised to move. If I try to call them, they will not answer. Either there is busy ring tone or one time when they answered , they wee asking for Confirmation code which they never gave us and then they hung up.

We have no idea if we will ever receive our stuff or not.
They have also already charged our credit card about $900 .

I don't know how would a professional company behave this irresponsible way.
I will update in future If I ever get my stuff delivered.
They first gave quote of $2400, when they came it went upto $3k.
I don't know how much its going to be if they decide to come some day.

  11. Good work.

The move went pretty good. I am glad that I was able to find out the price before they loaded my furniture. If I ever move again I think that I would use presidential moving but I hope that I never have to move again.

  12. Exceptional service.

Alex is a life saver. The service was exceptional and absolutely worth every dime. My furniture and boxes were not damaged or lost. Delivery was quick as well. Thank you Alex and Presidential moving.

  13. Job well done.

The job was very well done. I am happy that we chose to have John take care of our move out of Georgia into New Hampshire. Presidential moving was very polite and very professional I am happy to leave a review and give credit when credit is due thank you very much to all who assisted.

  14. Giant move.

I was very scared that this process was going to have either major bumps in the road or at least some type of mess ups. It was an 8 bedroom 9 bath home to be completely packed up and the 3 pianos to be moved as well. I am very very pleased to say that Presidential didn't have a single bump in the road and NO DAMAGE. You guys were great. Thank you Alex for being polite and understanding of our worries and concerns.

  15. Happy.

Overall happy with the relocation. I will be in my new home with my family for the holidays which to me is the greatest feeling in the world. Thannk you Jean for making sure my stuff was picked up and delivered on time. Highly recommend Presidential moving.
