  1. Beware....do not use this company for your move.

    I used this company for my move and it was a disaster. The owner, Lamar Bankhead is a complete joke. They were an hour late and arrived with no moving truck, what Moving company arrives with no truck?? This hot head of an unprofessional, Lamar was a fast talker who prides himself on arriving late. He claims his motto is I may not be there on time but I will be there. (SMH...such ignorance)

    The guys in the moving crew were actually cool but I felt sorry for them the way this piece of a joke ass Owner was screaming at them if they didn't wrap or move the items the way he wanted them to. (just sad) This screaming maniac tried to overcharge me and make me pay for the hour he was late including the lunch hour that they took when they stopped off in between my old place to my new one. He changed the original price and then got mad when I wanted clarity on how he arrived at the pricing, this fool actually banged his hand on my glass side table. He stormed out and I called the police because I had no idea what this raging maniac would do next. When my guy friend made it over here to discuss the payments and all that had transpired this fool sat on the public ground to discuss business. I ended up paying him (he didn't deserve a dime) but I wanted this fool out of my life. His poor grandmother Rose Marie Charles would be ashamed that she had a grandson that runs a business in this manner. Again, beware and do your homework, I was in a rush and went with the first movers that came up on google but had I read these reviews first I would have run the other way.

    Not Everybody who has a Business knows how to properly run one.

    The movers were all very friendly. They moved quickly and efficiently. We ran into a few problems, but they handled everything well and went above & beyond to help us.

  3. Job not complete and damage items.

    Worst moving experience ever damaged my $3000 fridge connfronted them about it would not call back my fridge is also missing screws for handles so I can’t even put the handless on they didn’t move the whole house and I was told I was getting 5 men 2 trucks I got 1 truck and 3 guys who didn’t seem interested in moving me just wanted to get hours stay away at all cost you can move yourself with less headache and not spending $2000 to do it.

    I was referred to Rmc Movers by my Mom and Sister who also used the same company when they moved. I was very pleased with the EXCELLENT service that I recieved from Rmc Movers and the owner Mr.Lamar Bankhead. They were very professional and courteous and got the job done in a timely manner.On my next move I will definently used them again as well as refer them to other of my family members and friends if they need a moving company.

  5. Inexperienced movers!

    **BEWARE** I scheduled a move with RMC movers last week as the closing on our house was moved up and we had only a few days to move out. I had heard many horror stories involving moving companies but against their better advice I hired RMC due to their great reviews. That was the worst decision I could have made throughout this whole process.

    1. After a great conversation with Carol in the office, I was assured she would be sending experienced movers with over 11 years of experience after reading another review mentioning inexperienced movers. The contract stated that they would be supplying 3 movers and they brought 4 movers instead but the team leader (Lamar) was very clearly the only experienced mover on this job. One mover stated that he had never even worked on a moving job before so the team leader was training him which slowed down the process and cost me more $$. The 2 other movers also did not seem experienced as the team leader kept yelling at them for wrapping furniture incorrectly which again ended up costing me more time and MORE $$ in redo work. The team leader mentioned that he had to bring a Uhaul truck since his other crew had the company truck on another job, I can only believe that this is the experienced crew that I was promised. If I knew I would not be getting the experienced crew, I would have NEVER chosen this company.

    2. Inexperienced movers also led to broken furniture. Even more than the broken furniture was the general apathy towards my broken furniture. At one point, I noticed that the team leader had taken out glue and tried to glue a leg back to the dining room table without even consulting with me first!! When I asked what he was doing, I was told that the leg had came apart as if it was simply unscrewed but upon further inspection it was very clearly broken by his guys. He jokingly mentioned that he was not going to say anything to me at first and hoped that I would not notice. How would I not notice MY broken table?!?! He kept mentioning that it’s not that bad and no one is going to look under the table to notice a broken table leg. He assured me that I would not even notice after it was glued back together. From the picture attached, anyone would be able to notice this broken table leg. I was originally told that the furniture would be disassembled and then individually wrapped which would have made it easier and safer to transport this table. The team leader opted to not disassemble and advised me to spend an extra $40 on boxes to help keep the furniture safe which still lead to broken pieces. He kept mentioning that it is not that big of a deal and I did not buy the full coverage insurance (which costs an extra $300 dollars by the way). That is an absurd amount for insurance, I would rather have used that $300 towards buying a brand new table than towards insurance which is what I’m going to do anyways without having to go through the hassle of insurance. In addition to the broken table leg, the glass from our china cabinet was also broken but he offered $60 off of the cost to replace the broken glass. They also unscrewed the door of the dining room cabinet and then lost the screws. The team leader told me I can replace the screws and screw it back on myself.. isn’t that what I am paying you for! I am not naive enough to believe that during a move nothing will end up scratched or possibly even broken but customers are spending their hard earned money for EXPERIENCED movers to treat their belongings with care. At the whopping cost of $160 PER HOUR (way more than some other moving companies), I deserve experienced guys or I could have just hired several inexperienced guys myself to do the job for less than half of what I paid.

    3. We requested one living room set, a dining set, 3 dressers, a table, 2 refrigerators, washer/dryer and absolutely NO boxes to be moved 8 minutes down the road. I was told this would not take long but this job took 6 HOURS AND cost ALMOST $1000 ($960 to be exact) which is absolutely egregious!! It took these guys over 4 hours just to wrap the furniture (again the team leader was the only experienced one and was wrapping very efficiently with nothing broken). It took the other 2 guys over an hour to do a shoddy job at wrapping just the dining room cabinet which still ended up broken.

    Basically inexperience lead to a higher cost and broken furniture. We have moved all of the same furniture on our own before with nothing broken. As the saying goes, don’t expect others to care for your belongings as much as you. When our new home is ready I will most definitely NOT be giving RMC movers a call BUT LET THIS SERVE AS YOUR WARNING!!

    Mr.Bankhead and his amazing staff are simply the best!! He and his team are trustworthy, kind, and above all professional. I have trusted RMC movers twice now. Mr. Bankhead will always be my moving team. If you need trustworthy movers please do not hesitate and give him a call. He will have you yelling “fish grease” at the end.

    I used RMC movers this past weekend. I can honestly say that I was very pleased with the service I received. I will definitely use them again. Ms. Carol and the staff were very professional. Thank you again RMC for everything.

  8. I’ll never use another company!!

    I’ve used RMC Movers in the past and they are amazing. They are all very professional and efficient. I have used moving companies that have gone out of their way just to run up the time so my expectations for RMC weren’t that high. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my move was completed with RMC.

    I’m preparing for a another move and when I called to schedule the appointment the owner remembered me and I think that was awesome because to me, it says a lot about how he pays attention to his customers. I don’t remember the cost of my last move so I had to guess. I know that it was ridiculously reasonable and less than other quotes I had received.Hopefully this will be my last move for a very long time but I will be referring all my friends and family to RMC Movers!

    Last minute move and RMC movers were able to accomadate me with no issues. Great group of guys they sent out for the move. Quick, and professional. If you are looking to move they will get you squared away no problem. Next move RMC will be contacted as well.

    We used RMC for our recent move from Snellville, GA to Salem, SC. Lamar and his office staff were a joy to work with. Louis and his moving team were outstanding. On the day of the move, they arrived on-time, packed the truck full, drove to SC and had us moved by evening. Due to their care in wrapping and loading, there was absolutely no damage. They even went out of their way to make sure that all of our needs were met at our new house. I would definitely use them again.

  11. Seriously The Best!

    I worked with RMC Movers for about two months trying to get out of my house and moved across country. Due to a nasty divorce I was going through at the time, I had to cancel three times, before I was finally able to move. Despite that fact, from Lamar, to all office staff, everyone at RMC Movers was extremely patient and remarkably understanding.

    Moving day finally came and they showed-up with the truck, boxes, all packing supplies and 8-guys. They not only blanket wrapped all the furniture, but they shrink wrapped it as well for added protection. All of them work extremely hard to get everything out of the house and on the 26-ft truck. They arrived at my destination and packed the storage unit with a mastery to no other.

    I have not one bad word to say about this company, nor anyone working for this company. Everyone is honest, straight forward and does exactly what they say they will do.

    Louis was my driver and he called me every single night to let me know the progress and where he was in the journey. With it being a long distance move having a call each night was comforting to know just where he was in the process and to also know he was safe.

    I whole heartedly recommend this company to anybody with a difficult move as you will be treated with respect, understanding and kindest throughout the entire time. I can only imagine an easier move would be a 'walk-in-the-park' for them!

    There were no hidden costs, the price quoted was the price I paid. I did give a hefty tip to the driver as it was an extremely long treacherous drive across country, running into snow and patches of ice.

    I will be using them again when the time comes.

    I recently used RMC Movers and I was totally amazed at the quality of service and professionalism that we received from the beginning to the end. Not only did they work hard but constantly at a good pace which saved us money. They went above and beyond what was expected and I already have told two people who plan on using them in the future. If you want quality service at a competitive price then I suggest you give them a call. You will be more than satisfied.

  13. Outstanding Job.

    I have moved many many times and there is only one company that has ever really exceeded my expectations, RMC Movers.

    I recently had my second successful move with RMC Movers, not one single damage, compliant or problem. The first was local Atlanta ( 2015 ), excellent job prompted me to do a new move from Atlanta to Houston (July 2017), over 815 miles and again not one single problem, no damages to walls, furniture or items, incredible. Lamar the owner is a top notch professional and all around great guy who is hands on with his customers to provide unparalleled service. Lamar does exactly what he says he will do and I am high maintenance and very hard to please.

    Louis and Max supervised this incredible move in a very short timeframe. They treated me like family and stopped an nothing to make me satisfied. I have very valuable antique furniture and items with special needs and they took extreme care to delivery on-time and in perfect condition. Louis is the most understanding and knowledgeable mover I have ever dealt with. He has been been in the business a long time and you can tell by the care he takes.

    Moving is very stressful but this team gets an A++ for quality service and professionalism.

    RMC also has very competitive rates and hires the best workers.

    If another move is needed I will not hesitate to call RMC Movers.

  14. Great moving company.

    I just moved on Saturday from Snellville to Martin GA. It was a long day of packing and moving. The men showed up on time and finished the job. They were all very friendly and helpful. I would use them again if ever needed.

    A shout out to Lamar and Lewis and all the workers on Saturday.

  15. Rmc Horrible Experience.

    I attempted to do business with RMC earlier this year for a move to Florida. We talked for 2 weeks and I signed a contract. At the end everything feel apart, because of them being unreliable and changing payment at the last minute.

    I wrote a complaint to BBB and they responded with a lot of hostility and lies. What I said I stand behind it, because I have no reason to make up false information on no company.

    I can tell from the demeanor the person who responded was Rosilyn. She is very obnoxious to deal with. She is the one who instigated all the trouble. In her response she had the gall to evaluate my sanity. I am very much sane and honest, unlike her.

    She is so evil she had the gall to respond stating GOD is going to do something to me. I think that is about as repulsive anyone can get. It confirm her evilness..this lady is evil to the core.

    The reason I am responding is because Rosiln do not have the professionalism or competence to operate a lemon aid stand. She do not have the perception of trying to respect and satisfy the customers.

    We had one agreement that I would pay when my things arrive in Florida. The company suddenly changed that and wanted a substantial deposit, which I agreed to pay. After that they wanted to deliver my property and be paid in full prior to unloading, which was a unreasonable and raised a red flag.

    I was not going to put myself in the position for them to hold my property hostage or pay prior to setting up my furniture. The owner Lamar came to my house to give a quote. He is aware I have expensive, exquisite furniture and accessories . I am am not hurting for money. I would have paid, but they got to acting crazy.

    They stressed me out , I have health issues and all the chaos was not worth it. I went to another company and that was the best thing I did. RMC delayed me 3 weeks on moving. I had to get another company and get scheduled. I had workers in place in Florida to help with unpacking and had to reschedule that.

    Keep a back-up company if use these people.

    This entire situation was with RMC was a nightmare.
