Excellent service from the very first phone call all the way to unpacking in the new home. Moved from Atlanta, GA across country to Palm Springs, CA. They packed everything in one day and came back the next day to load the trucks and start the long trek across the U.S. Moving is stressful, but Lamar, Ros, Luis, and the staff made it painless. Due to issues with mold in my apartment, I had to make a quick and last minute move. RMC Movers offered helpful solutions for a really stressful situation. I am very satisfied with the service I received from RMC Movers. The staff were professional, efficient, attentive to detail, and a pleasure to work with. His use move - Atlanta to Savannah.
A flawless 270 mile move, from start to finish in less than 12 hours. Loaded/ transported/ unloaded contents of four bedroom house with basement and garage storage. Also disassembled/ re-assembled large furniture items.
Owner, Lamar, and Leader, Louis, and his four man crew were courteous, helpful and accommodating. Note: Be fully packed before truck arrives, as RMC Movers loads very quickly.

I was obtaining moving estimates and I remembered a friend who had raved about the movers who had moved her. I contacted her and she said "I'll give you the name of the best moving company in the area" and she shared the information for RMC movers. From the owner, Mr. Bankhead to the great crew of men (Joseph, Preston and Michael) who he assigned to my move, I was provided with outstanding professional service. The Ammons crew was courteous, prompt and efficient. My furniture was carefully wrapped, and extra care was given to the glass tables and shelving. The price was reasonable and I would recommended this company to everyone.
Third time using this company!
They did 2 small unloads for me, and did right by me every single time so I called them back. Wrapped my antiques better than anyone ever did in the past, from bottom up and top down. It is a testament to the owner, Lamar, and Rosalyn, his mother who does the estimates. Price was to load (2) 26 ft trucks and unload them 5 days later in the same town, plus some packing services. There were some things they didn't follow through on at breakdown and delivery, but small issues. Headboard was not attached to the bed even though I handed them the screws for the headboard (I kept them with me for safekeeping). Not sure why that was over looked. A couple of boards to my dining table (braces that keep the top in place) vanished, according to the man who built the braces and who just checked my dining table, and we are not sure where they went. These are small things, and considering the size of the move, I would say it went very well! I have not found anything broken. All the marble and glass and porcelain (I have unpacked so far) survived. All the antiques are unscathed. All was very well packed and very well handled. I wish Lamar would still be on all the jobs because under his direction it's all smooth as butter. All the movers were very polite. I wish all movers packed as well as this company does. That's why I called them back after 2 small unloads, to do this major big move for me.

I'm so glad I found RMC Movers. I was in a panic, less than 2 weeks from my move, with no movers set. Lamar (the owner) came to my rescue. His price was about double what the van lines were quoting me, but it was worth. every. penny.
6 men loaded my belongings from a 1 bedroom apartment, and it took just 1 1/2 hours(!!). Chris and Andre drove to Texas and got there before I did. It took them just 2 hours to unload. I packed everything myself, but they disassembled and wrapped the furniture, then reassembled in TX. NOTHING was broken--it was all in the exact same condition as when it left my apartment.
These guys are, in just a word, AWESOME. I will TOTALLY use them again. The best part was how stress-free the experience was.
Outstanding moving experience.
Recently my wife and I moved from Sugar Hill, GA to Cumming GA. About 15 miles. After researching moving companies, our selection was RMC movers. You see most other companies provide you with pricing based on square footage, not actual number of items, boxes and furniture you have. Unlike the competition, The owner of RMC came out to visit with us to access the number of items, boxes the landscape, doorways, etc. They were able to determine the number of men to send and the times it would take to move. {they moved us under the estimated time} This is an outstanding company that provides customer service, a great crew of men, all work, no phones, they got the job done in record time. I would recommend this company to all folks moving, a great experience, you have enough stress moving, let them take care of the heavy lifting. My hats off to RMC movers. A plus, the price was very reasonable unlike other estimates. Get a great company Utilize RMC.
Easy Choice.
Like you, we checked reviews before narrowing it down to RMC. We lived in a little town 225 miles from Atlanta. Lamar, the owner, called and discussed how he operates the business. He was up front and informative, and told us things to look for when evaluating companies. Rosalyn was a delight to talk to and gave us very specific information about costs and what to expect. Their quote was exactly what we were billed for. No hidden fees, no surprises.
The evening before the move, Luis and Chris came by the house at about 8 pm at our request to let us know how the move was to be handled. Very professional and reassuring. The next morning they were promptly there at 8:30 and began the move. Additional help was also there to assist in moving some of the heavier pieces. All the crew was helpful and courteous. The trucks were loaded and on the way by 4:30 that afternoon.
The following day they were at the destination promptly at 9. Again, it was Luis and Chris and a couple of extra men. Luis did a fantastic job of taking the entire contents and organizing them in a 10x30 storage unit.
One thing I wish to point out. The crews were professional and courteous. No problems for an already stressful situation. They were dependable, friendly, responsible, knowledgable, experienced, and skilled in moving people's possessions with care. Would definitely use them again.
Great movers with high integrity.
I interviewed many moving companies prior to selecting RMC. Lamar was a pleasure to work with and was upfront about how he views the business. After selecting them for my move (packing and move), they were very accommodating of my fluid move dates. A crew of 12 showed up to do my packing and was able to pack my very large house within a day. The loading crew came next and packed up the three trucks with care. We had no damage to any walls or floors from the move. All furniture arrived in the same condition it was loaded. The crew was great to work with. They were all very polite and friendly. They were willing to take care of any requests that we had. Once the movers left we started unpacking boxes and did find three very delicate items had been damaged during shipment. I contacted Lamar and he quickly responded in a positive way. Even though I only purchased the $300 deductible insurance, Lamar simply wanted me to find replacements and let him know the value. He quickly cut me a check for the damages without worrying about the deductibles. The strongest statement I could make is that I would use them again any time I move. Infact, I used them to do my commercial move of my office from Atlanta to Washington DC.
Great Experience!
I was anxious in picking a moving company. I had heard horror stories of incompetent and overpriced movers. I ended up choosing RMC movers after much comparison and research and it was an awesome experience. When moving in the future I know I will be using them again. I had a great group of guys and the whole experience was quick and comfortable.
So great we called them back: TWICE!
We first used RMC movers in January when we had to put our stuff in storage while looking for a new home (see earlier 5 star review). We finally found a place in April and immediately called them to move us in. This trip we dealt with Kurt, Joseph, and Douglas and they were all awesome. They were on time, extremely efficient, and incredibly friendly. We couldn't have been happier. Then in May, we hired them again after we had a death in the family and needed to move some very sentimental pieces of furniture into our apartment. We were nervous of course, as anyone would be when having to get pieces of infinite sentimental value up 3 flights of stairs. During this move we dealt with Allen and Frank and they put our minds at ease very quickly. We told them of the situation before they touched anything and they were so sympathetic and understanding. And so careful and considerate of our belongings. At one point, they were about to move a very large piece and my husband told them what it was and how much it meant to us. Allen said "I'll treat it as if it was my mother's." And that he did. Together they got everything up safely and unharmed. What a huge relief that was to us, espescially during an already emotional time. We are settled now and don't anticipate moving again for a while, thankfully! But when we do, RMC will be the first people we call. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Tony, James, Tyson, Dre, and all the others at RMC that helped move our family from Atlanta to Indiana couldn’t have been nicer and more careful with our belongings. Halfway through the move we felt like we were moving with friends and not a moving company, you can’t say that much anymore in the service industry. This wasn’t an easy move for RMC since we lived in Atlanta 20 years and needed to move within 30 days of deciding to re-locate, so needless to say we have a lot of stuff. Every room the guys went into you could hear them jokingly laugh at the amount of belonging we had stored away, but what a great attitude they kept throughout the entire process. We even had an additional storage unit they moved at the end of load –up, I know they were tired and needed to get on the road to Indy but you would never know it. They were still joking and laughing on their way out of the storage complex heading to the interstate.. Thanks again to Lamar for our move and fielding a team with guys like Tony, James, Tyson, and Dre, real good folks with great character and work ethic. I whole heartedly recommend RMC to anyone that wants an “easy” move.. Ray & the family .

RMC Movers did an EXCELLENT job! They were VERY fast, friendly, efficient, thorough, conscientious, respectful and professional. They even took great care of items that weren't in the best condition to begin with. We had four movers for the price of two, and they completed the move in 1.5 hours. The supervisor made sure his crew wrapped and strategically placed furniture in the storage unit so that there was a path to access household items during the storage period. There were follow-up calls to make sure that we were pleased with their services. I DEFINITELY recommend RMC Movers!
Terrific Experience!
RMC Movers, based in Atlanta area, did an absolute fantastic job with my move. They absolutely exceeded my expectations throughout. They were very professional, clear in their communication, and delivered on everything they said they would. I have used/tried to use two other Atlanta movers for local moves in the past (2 Guys - no show / and All My Sons - showed up with two people and had to pay more to get more). RMC showed up with 8 guys, and knocked out the loading of the truck in less time than promised! Two of those guys drove the truck themselves and were there with 3 others to unload. They were flexible in their timing, arrived earlier than originally planned and worked hard throughout.
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone moving in Atlanta or from Atlanta..and if they expand to other cities (or have already done so), I would recommend them from there as well.

Mr. Love and Mr. Dre were on time and in a matter of fact prior to the scheduled delivery time. The items were unpacked and assembled in a timely and professional manner!
