My husband and I have had nothing but great experiences with 495 Movers. We've used them three times within the last 4 years and only have great experience things to say about each experience-- from the dispatcher/scheduler to the actual movers who help us on the day of the move. Our last movers were particularly innovative when it came to getting a big couch through a small entry way. I appreciated that. Very professional, responsive and always ready to provide ways to help make your move easier. I also love that they provide packing material as part of the package. I would highly recommend them...great value/ service at a fair rate!
My 1st Move
This was my first time using the company but they did an excellent job moving my items. They arrived to my home in Georgia, packed up all my furniture, had my items on the truck and my apartment empty in under 3 hours. When it was time to have my items placed in storage, they arrived early and completed the job in under 2 hours. The only problem I had was my TV stand legs had come off when it arrived at my home in Maryland. The men tried to fix it but to no avail. Not sure what happened because my TV stand was properly wrapped and padded in my home in Georgia, so I was surprised that the legs had broken off. Besides that one mishap, the men I worked with on the move were efficient, timely, professional and friendly. I would recommend 495 Movers to anyone for a wonderful experience when you need your items to be relocated and stored. Finally, a word of advice, if you can, pack your own items (besides the large furniture/pieces) they will also lower the price of the move, which for me was a big help and saved me over $1000. We had an excellent experience with 495 movers. We needed an experienced company as I have an antique cabinet that was my grandmother's. They took a great deal of care with everything we had including my grandmothers cabinet. Nothing was damaged or broken in the move. The movers were on time, polite and hard working. It took two hours less than the estimate, that saved us some money. We highly recommend 495 movers!!!
My move
These guys exceeded my expectations! They took note of my need (I have some disabilities). I would try to bring up my plants from my car and they would take them from me! That impressed me. They were kind and very courteous at all times! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to all.

All around great service, and I would definitely book again! [NAME EDIT] came for my in home estimate, which was informative, no pressure and accurate. I got about 6 quotes and half of the companies quoted a lower price because they majorly underestimated the amount of stuff. Kudos to [NAME EDIT] for answering all of my questions before booking. On move day, the team of movers [NAME EDIT] were awesome. They were quick, courteous and efficient. They moved everything into a 495 storage unit. In between storing and the second part of my move, [NAME EDIT] kept in contact to make sure the second half of our move was well coordinated. On move day #2 [NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT] arrived at 7:30 am in New Jersey with our truck from Maryland and moved half of our stuff into an apartment and the other half into a storage unit 25 mins away. This crew was also amazingly efficient, hardworking, and did a great job carefully transporting and setting up our stuff. I was really nervous about selecting a moving company and so happy I went with 495!

We've now hired 495 Movers twice to move from two different 5,000 sq.ft. homes and could not be any happier with the quality of service, speed, and cost of the moves.
On our latest move, 495 Movers went above and beyond to accommodate our moving date as changes occurred. On the final day of the big move, they hit the ground running, with every mover focused on delicately packaging our items as if they were from the Louvre, kept an inventory that would make a tax auditor proud, and moved with the speed and purpose commensurate of a NASCAR pit team. The 495 Movers team knows how to hustle!
Bottom line - 495 Movers will continue to be the only company we hire to safely move our family. Hire them if you want real professionals as well!

From the initial estimate to the final box being placed in our new home 495 was professional and honest. They dropped off tons of boxes, tape, and paper so we were able to pack well in advance. Cost was very competitive in relation to 2 other vendors we looked at. Very satisfied!

A very Good Move
The movers were extremely professional and helpful. Arrived on schedule. They were very reliable and courteous. The foreman Jose was phenomenal. The entire crew of Jose, Edwin, and Juan worked as a team and made the move awesome for us. The customer service was excellent and answered any and all questions I had as this was my first move with 495 movers. They are very responsive. Will definitely use this company again for my future moves.

Moving is never easy, however 495 Movers did their best to make it so. We received quotes from 5 different local movers, all which were priced competitively so the choice came down to the non-labor rate details.
We decided to hire and retain 495 Movers based on Eden’s knowledgeable advice, and the resulting easy to understand, all inclusive quote. The fact that all packing materials were included was a major deciding factor for us given our previous move experience where the materials were “nickel and dimed” to add up significantly from the original estimate. Kira’s coordination of the move-day details and patience explaining the insurance options helped ease any additional concerns we might have encountered.
The day of our move, Antonio communicated when they would arrive, took the time to walk through our home and understand our expectations, and led the crew exceptionally throughout the day.
The whole team was professional, and polite throughout the very very long day (11.5 hours) - ultimately moving nearly 250 boxes and several pieces of very large furniture through unforgivingly tight stairwells. As we were moving from a 3-level townhouse, I cannot begin to imagine how many trips they made up and down our stairs. Even after all those stairs, Antonio and the team still graciously moved our very large sectional couch three separate times within our new home when I know they were exhausted. True professionals!
Although we are still unpacking, so far, everything seems to have made it through the move unscathed. Which, considering the volume and weighty contents Antonio and his team handled, is pretty remarkable.
In summary, we had an excellent experience and, although we don’t plan to move again for quite some time, would happily recommend 495 Movers to anyone else.

This was my second move with 495 movers! The entire experience was seamless and overall fantastic. The pricing was a little more than what I wanted to pay but it is well worth it....and I would do it again
