I am overall satisfied with the service from 495 Movers, from the beginning when they gave me the estimate, the process was quick and no hassle, they provided us with the boxes and the papers. On the moving day, the crews came in time and helped us with the boxing too as we hadn't finished yet. They worked fast with care. Most importantly they handled my complaint about the bill very nice and attentive, even though it was me who miscalculated the bill. I will definitely recommend this mover to my friends for their 5 start service.
495 Movers - Consistently Exceptional.
It is not often that I take the time to write a review, however, I felt compelled to do so given the consistently exceptional moving and customer service I have received from 495 Movers on two occasions. My first experience with 495 Movers was in 2016 when I moved from DC to Bethesda. The move was "worry free" from start to finish -- from the initial call with Tom Yospe who explained the entire process to me in full user friendly detail to the delivery of boxes, tape and packing material to my home to the packing, transport and reassembly of my furniture in my new place. The move was comparably priced (if not a little less) than other moving services, and quoted as a flat rate which I loved. Additionally, with 495 movers, you get so much more value all around given the courtesy, professionalism and efficiency of the team and one certainly cannot put a price tag on excellence. Because of my first wonderful experience with Tom and the 495 movers Team in 2016, when I needed to move from DC to New York this year, I didn't even consider researching another moving service. I reached out to Tom and once again, he was extremely responsive, professional and customer focused as were the gentlemen who picked up my items in MD and those who delivered them safely to NYC. While I have moved several times previously, I have never had such a good experience with movers. For this reason and many others, I highly recommend 495 movers without reservations and I am confident that if you select them to do your move, you, too will receive exceptional "worry free" service.
Move from DC to NYC (Manhattan).
We made the 1 bedroom move from DC to NYC (Manhattan) in early February 2019. We did quite a bit of research and narrowed down to 3 companies. 495 was the only one that came out and did an in-person estimate. They were also the only one to give an all-in rate, including all the boxes and packing. All we had to down was handle the liquids. The movers were exactly on-time, efficient - four hours to pack, four hours to drive the next day, and about 3 hours to unpack. They also did all the disassembly and assembly. We were very happy to have purchased the all-in rate because we didn't have to worry about how many boxes/tape/packaging was being used, or if there would be traffic on the way from DC to NYC that would eat up for time. Three guys for moving out of the apt, one of those guys drove the truck up, and that guy and another helper for the move-in. No damages. Please note that we compared across quite a few movers, and 495 is more expensive but totally worth-it. We were out of DC and into NYC within a day - beats spending a few hundred less and having other movers hold your belongings hostage and/or never arrive. Thank you 495 for doing your job very well.

Fantastic Movers. I was very pleased with the service. They showed up on time and worked without stopping until they finished the job. They were very careful with every item and repacked them if they were unsure. Although their price was slightly higher then their competition, I was very glad I chose them considering the peace of mind I had and the professional behavior their movers.

Originally when I called to setup our move, 495 Movers were a little higher than the other quotes I received, however I felt the initial phone call was more professional than the other companies, but one of the deciding factors for me, was the when Tom inquired about the list of furniture they would be moving. After our phone call, he sent an itemized list of the furniture I mentioned that I would be moving. This seems minor, but Some companies didn’t even seem to desire to know what items they would be moving. Most other quotes were random and off the cuff, which meant they had a potential to be higher on the day of the move, when the movers actually got out to our home and saw what they had to move. However, I still was to ready to pull the trigger until I spoke with Tom of 495 Movers again and mentioned to him my concern of moving my big screen TVs and the disassembly and reassembly of my beds. He assured me that the movers would be professional and were used to handling these types of moves. So, I took multiple factors into account before I made my final decision: There were great reviews that didn’t seem to be fake reviews, their BBB rating was A+, the original recommendation I received, and the overall professionalism made me choose 495 Movers, even with the higher quoted price. I’m happy with my decision. The movers arrived on time on a raining day, and when it began to rain hard, they closed up the truck, and came in the townhouse and continued to pack and wrap furniture. They did not waste time during the move, which was another concern of mine. They took care with the larger items as well. We had an incredibly heavy armoire that they got around tight corners, down a flight of stairs, and back up a flight of stairs in our new place, without damaging it or the walls. Overall, my family was very pleased with the movers. Thanks to Tom and the movers, Freddy, Jose, and Alexis. Awesome job.

I recently moved from a 4 story town house to a 2 story condo and had an amazing experience with 495 movers. The call time for them show up was between 8 and 9 am and I think they arrived at 8:02. The first thing we did was go all over the house and I showed them what boxes and rooms were mine (since I had 2 roommates who also were packed up but their stuff wasn't coming with me). They taped up and packaged all of my televisions and big furnature items. They also dissembled my bed frame and resembled it at my new place with no problem whatsoever. Once we arrived to the condo, I walked around and told them what boxes/furnature go in which room and where I wanted the furnature. They were completely done with everything by 12:30, which includes the 30 minute travel time. None of my belongings were even slightly damaged. I also had just repainted the entire unit and was worried about the narrow staircase and hallways, but there are no scuff marks whatsoever. My last move was a nightmarish experience with a different company, but this one was amazing. It was a bit pricey, but worth every penny!
Highest recommendation.
495 Movers showed up very promptly, after a rep confirmed my scheduled office move 24 hours in advance by phone. They loaded their truck in record time, and showed up at exactly the hour that the office building to which I was moving allowed movers access via the loading dock (7:00 pm). They unloaded everything in under a half-hour, hooked up all my computer components (since I am visually impaired and this requires some effort, I was impressed), and the entire move from beginning to end was done in under 90 minutes. Highest recommendation for professionalism.
Easiest Move.
After comparing quotes from several moving companies, confused with hourly rates, different amount of hours quoted and charges of packing material etc., I decided to go with 495 movers. The owner Moti agreed to a flat rate. I knew he understood the risk, but appreciated his trust. I promised to finish my end of the packing and properly mark all the boxes and furnitures. On the moving day, he sent 4 men crew, Santos, Paul, Gustav and Fransisco, and two trucks, arrived on time at 7:30am. They moved efficiently and with care. I never saw then bumping into anything. These are true professionals and took pride in their work. They made my move the easiest ever. I highly recommend them.
