  1. Stay away from this greedy and lying company!

The only great thing about this company was the movers who came to the house. The guys were absolutely great and worked very hard.

Other than that, I would never recommend this company to anyone. All they care about is to get your money and schedule you, and then they start calling you to ask you to change your moving date, moving times, etc. They gave us all kinds of lies -- from weather, to medical emergency with the drivers, to equipment braking down! The sales guy will bombard you with millions of texts and calls to get your business, and then it all goes down the hill when they schedule more than what they can handle. We wanted to move on a Friday, they were busy. We were pushed to Saturday, and when we finally agreed, the sales guy started calling us and asking us if we could do it on Sunday!! When we declined, the move that was supposed to start at 7AM on Saturday, started at 2:30 pm after numerous calls to the dispatcher asking where the movers were! When the movers arrived to the house, they were unaware where they had to move us!! They thought were moving locally!! This company is just one big JOKE and they are all about GREED! Please stay away from them.

  2. Dont do it.

I scheduled in January for a "discounted rate" according to Michael Robinson. At last minute (7 months later) after calling 5 plus times to figure out what is going on they tell me no one will pick it up for that price so I agree to a higher price cause what can I do? Still no word from quality assurance and all my phone calls were answered with "havent heard from dispatch" the day before they're supposed to come out (after calling every day multiple times a day) they tell me "they must have forgot to send it to dispatch" just don't do it.

  3. Scam!!

Used "Spirit Van Lines" also known as EZ Moving Van Lines and had the worst experience. Guy that picked up my furniture asked me for drugs, then dragged my stuff through the dirt and did not put padding on anything! My stuff arrived half broken or just missing. Paid double the estimate and now they are shut down..horrible! And I did not get any refund for the damages!

  4. Fraud.

Do not use this company. They are not a BBB accredited company and they have been shut down several times. This is not a moving company, this is a third party hiring other movers..they are a small office with no 24 hour service..and they are all liars. This is Russian owned and a rip off.

  5. Garbage Company.

As most other reviews have noted, do NOT waste your time and money with this company. They will give you a quote, and then hire a "local" company to do the move. Your final price will be much higher than the estimate. I ended up paying 3-4x my estimate. Not only that, the movers showed up AN ENTIRE DAY LATE for pick up. When they finally did show up, I was charged a completely absurd $875 "long carry" fee. I lived in a normal apartment complex. My entire 1-bedroom was completely packed, and just needed to be loaded into the truck. Somehow, this took 10 hours. The "foreman" left after about 1 hour, without paying the movers. At that point, the movers refused to continue working until they were paid. This resulted in over an hour of back-and-forth on the phone before anyone began working again.

After the nightmare of loading the truck, my belongings were delivered 10 days after my delivery estimate. I had to pay a "long carry" fee upon delivery as well, even though the delivery truck was literally parked directly in front of the house, on a small residential street. Total price gouging. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. Check their rating on Better Business Bureau: 1 star. That is being generous. I cannot warn you enough to stay away from this so called company. It is basically a scam.

  6. Promised Refund for services never delivered.

Buyer Beware: this company charged me for arranging my move and never delivered. We were left stranded with no movers and no replies to our repeated calls to the “24/7” service. We ended up with costs to move items to storage and flights back to pick up from storage and move. Lost our $680 deposit and even though we were promised in an email on 12/5/2017 that the refund was sent that day, no money has been received and calls were ignored or sent to voicemail. I was given the name of Gary Porter as the owner and sent him a detailed letter regarding the problem. I not only never got a response but when I checked the Better Business Bureau information about company owners and administrators, he didn’t exist. We’ve heard excuses that the person who promised the refund is on leave, was transferred, is under new management, was let go . . .
I am now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Be sure and check the BBB website before signing up with this company. EZ Moving has a customer satisfaction rating of 1 on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being high.

  7. Absolute truth experience.

I used this company to move from Denver to LA. They contract the job to another company. Although they were late by a day the company showed up with a team and quickly packed my things up. Everything seemed to be moving smoothly but then a tow truck type man walked up to me and said here is the new bill. They charge you for every piece you don’t include during the inventory even though I was under the impression I was paying for space and weight on the truck. They tried to haggle me for more than double what I was first quoted so I told them I could give them $300 more or they can take my things off the truck.. they accepted the deal. Thinking my nightmare was over I waited for my things to arrive to LA 5 days later than told and my dressers were broken, my large wall pictures were shattered and now I’m just noticing that I’m missing a box which had valuables.. when I spoke to the driver who dropped off he said that there is a claims department which I called and they did not answer.. still waiting on a call back and my move was on12/15.. it’s now February 1st. To summarize bad service $2000 for the move of one bedroom worth of things and over $1000 in broken or missing items which I doubt will ever get reimbursed. I probably should talk to a lawyer at this point.

  8. Impressed.

Thank goodness for these type of services, I thought I was going to call 3 different places for different services! But I spoke to the people at ez-moving and they set up everything. I didn't have to do anything! Thank you thank you thank you!! I really hate the moving process, not anymore!

  9. Buyer Beware.

EZ Moving Van Lines is a broker. Unbeknownst to us they hired a local mover to pick up our belongings. Once the truck was loaded the driver demanded an additional $6000 dollars. Our cost went from $6000 to over $13000 dollars. We had been very accurate in describing the goods to be packed and shipped. In fact most of our belongs were already packed for shipment and we just had a kitchen and furniture to be additionaly packed. EZ Moving's contract states, if the truck is loaded and you are not advised of a change in your cost the original estimate must be honored. We were never advised our cost would go up untill after all our belongings were placed on the truck. The company has refused to honor that agreement even though it is a Federal regulation. When we questioned the charges we were told it was cheaper if we shipped by space and not weight. We were told the weight of our belongings was 16,000 pounds. When we asked for verification of the weight, we were told the driver never had the loaded truck weighted. Another carrier actually moved our belongings to Florida. We have requested tariff by space information on the truck that moved us to Florida and the company to date has refused to provide that information even though they are required by law to do so. I recommend anyone looking to do business with this company do some research. We have repeatedly filed complaints with the company and have received no response. It is our belief that as a broker they simply contract your business out and you are then at the mercy of the carrier they hire. If your service is unsatisfactory, they simply pass the blame.

  10. Unreliable and Dishonest.

I planned to move my goods. I had to take Ezvanlines in the last minutes. When they initially committed, the total cost was 1570, 700 would be advance and 50% remaining while pickup and 50% while drop. But the company who picked up asked for $700 during pickup. I was pretty confident and I weighed each and every box and it will not be more than 2000 lbs. But after picking up the goods, they mentioned that your goods was 2800 lbs. I said one bed room house cannot have goods for 1.18 tons. I asked for the weighing receipt. They said they would give it during delivery, but I did not get it and moreover they will not have it. They will see if the shipping cost matches if not they will try to grab as much money from the customer to match shipping cost.Denver Actually, the Ezvanlines and the shipping company does not have any hold, they behave individually. Each of them can say their own rate/price to the customers and grab as much money possible. They took additional $500 from me for a very minimal good. If it was told before I would not have shipped my goods, rather bought all my good newly for $2000 in my new location. My goods will not be more than $2000. And the way they communicated is very harsh. If you need your goods I will deliver it today otherwise I will leave it warehouse and you will have to pay the rent for the warehouse. Very rude co-ordination from the shipping company (Spirit Van Lines). After Ezvanlines I have decided not to go with any shipping company, rather sell the goods and buy new one.

  11. Bait and Switch.

EZ Moving Van Lines is not the company that comes to do the move. They subcontract other movers that do not charge the same as they quoted. I was offered a huge discount and when the actual movers showed up the price more than doubled. Because I refused to work with the movers they sent and refused to pay more money they say I forfeited my deposit. After arguing with them for days, they still refuse my refund. BAD BUSINESS! Stay away from this company. They are full of lies.

  12. Horrible Service.

Very dishonest, your not going to be moved by this company. Another company will come to your house, reassess your move and up charge you by either cubic foot or weight. This is why it's better to use a company that has their address on their website. Truly a 24 number where you can reach someone. Try calling the customer service number before you give them your money as all they are is a middle man to charge you a extra thousand dollars, they don't own one truck,or have one driver. Look them up for yourselves.

  13. Review.

I originally booked with a different company, who I will refrain from badmouthing on this review. They never showed. Last minute I had to call other companies that had called me and my, probably about, fifth call was to EZ Moving. I spoke with a gentleman named Harry and he did a wonderful job at making me convinced that I could still get picked up.
I need to get my stuff out of my house either by that evening or my the following morning. Harry was honest stating that no one would be able to come that evening, I was assured someone would be there the next morning.
I was not able to sleep, due to stress and anxiety. I called EZ Moving at 7 am to make sure everything was still set up. A lady answered the phone and, again, assured me that someone would be there between 8-10. The driver called me as soon as I got off the phone and showed up at my residence at a little after 8 am.
The movers were fine gentleman, they were helpful and sweet. We ate lunch together and they continued to move my stuff until about 1 pm.
I knew I was only going 400 miles, but I could not accept delivery until the following week. I had plans to visit my grandchildren and I was not going to let my moving mishaps ruin them.
The company finagled the schedule to ensure I would not get my house things until I wanted them.
When I got back from my little getaway, I called the EZ Moving and let them know that I would be ready now.
They had the truck out to me the next day and it was the same great men that did the first part for me.
Everything went just great, I am appreciate that moving companies, not all of them but this one at least, accommodate. Not all moving companies are good, I found out. But I left a bad note for the bad one and a good note for this one.
I had no damaged or lost item. I could not seem to find my microwave anywhere while unloading, and I remembered that it was packed up, I did locate it.
I have nothing bad to say to this company, I have recommended them and I thought they deserved to hear the nice things I had to say. I wanted to let others know as well.
    Have a splendid afternoon.

  14. EZ Movers - Florida major scam.

Worked with Bruce out of West Palm Beach office, was given a bid of $2697.64 @ 4798 lbs. We had 3 different companies all gave us bids around the same weight. Chose EZ Movers because they had a 5 star rating on Consumer Reports & Consumer Reviews. Before the Dec. 5th pick up date another rep called saying he needed an up-dated inventory list, which my husband did. The Rep said he was raising the poundage but was rating everything heavy and when the truck was weighed all that would be adjusted. What he didn't say was the extra weight added administration fees, gas fees as well as the .39 per pound and that on weighing you only get back .10 cents a pound. My husband did a weight check and figured what he had added and what he had taken off was pretty much a wash but okay supposed to readjust it after weighing right? So now bill was $4,512.98 so needed another $1000 up front and more money on pick up and delivery. Afterwards I noticed he was out of MO. They picked up on the correct day, (December 5th) didn't need the shuttle we'd been charged $300 for and my husband had put everything in the garage so didn't use the $100 fee to bring a safe out of the basement. But my husband was happy with the loaders and reported the truck wasn't even half full.
By Dec. 11th after not hearing from the company I called Bruce who turned me over to customer services. No one seemed to know where our shipment was just kept telling me it was "in transit". Nor did they know what our weight ticket read. Said they would look into it and call me right back. On Dec. 13th I called Bruce again who again turned me over to customer services. I was told it was still "in transit" and that our weight ticket read 8640 pounds. So they would need an additional $1,000 on delivery, which they still didn't know when it would be and she hung up on me when I said I wanted her to text or email me a copy of the weight ticket. On Dec. 14th I sent Bruce an email stating that if I was not given a delivery date and time by noon on Dec. 15th I would be notifying the Citrus County Sheriffs department in Florida that the load was lost or stolen. I also cc'd it to my husband still in Illinois and the CCSD. On Dec. 15th a driver called me at 11:58 (not kidding) and said he would be delivering my load on Saturday afternoon. (16th) but that he had no knowledge of a weight ticket. Saturday he called and said he was having truck issues and would be there at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning, which he was. He picked up the load from David and Goliath Moving Co. who we did not have a contract with in Chicago from a warehouse. William and his crew of 4 did a good job unloading our items and as far as I can see we received everything. A few things were broken and the gun safe my husband sent empty and locked came open. Our conversation set that was new in box was taken out, but all parts were there. Both bike wheels back brakes were locked up, handle was broken off of china cabinet, and one box of bowls was smashed into pieces. Total cost ended up being over $5,000, I've never received a weight ticket which I'm sure is a Federal offense. If you go with EZ Movers in FL make sure they are not just being a broker and plan on third partying you out. Because looking at reviews for EZ Movers out of Chicago, this seems to be their regular operating procedure. How our stuff ended up being with David and Goliath out of Chicago with their very rude supervisor (Eli) I have no idea.

  15. Worst Experience moving I have ever had.

First they Quoted at 1400 and then the day of the move another company shows up and they say that most of our stuff is not in the inventory so they can't move us. When we call the coordinator he is out so we get sent to a "Quality control Specialist" and he redoes our quote to more than double the original price (i guess you are supposed to know exactly how many boxes you will have before you start packing and make sure to include every little item you own) they complained about the king size bead (even though it was on the original inventory, just not that it had a head board and foot board) and that we had a double dresser instead of a single(didn't know what this meant but I guess it is whether the drawers are 6 high instead of 2 wide with 3 high).
The next day when the mover was supposed to be back they didn't show up at the time arranged and when we called they told us it would be four hours later before they showed up.
Four hours later still no one but we did start getting calls from a mover that was on his way, unfortunately it was the wrong mover. ended up being the mover from the day before that had left on us. He was pissed because they had changed to a different company and now was determined to pick up our stuff. He called repeatedly and got verbally abusive to my wife when he was told that we were not letting him take our stuff, even went so far as trying to impersonate the mover we were supposed to use to try to get our stuff.
We finally got the correct mover there and all our stuff loaded only to be told that he would store it until he could find a driver to take it to Ohio, we were supposed to move into the new house 3 days later. At this point I am not sure when our stuff will arrive or if it will be in one peace or not (they didn't have the correct packing materials for our TV's so they will probably get broken).
Please do not go with this company, If you need to move use one of the nationally known and reputable companies. It may cost a little more but you will be a lot happier with your move.
