  1. Just Terrible Professional Thief!!

Do not use it!! They stole my suitcase with inside a violin and other stuff..on that truck there were other 18 people stuff and all the boxes and suitcases with valuable stuff in it just magically disappeared..they pretended for few weeks to take care of that situation then they just stop answer to us and disappeared with all our things..I had very personal memories in that suitcase and a very old violin..I'll never see my things again but I don't want anyone else going through an horrible experience as we had to.

  2. Worse moving company ever.

TERRIBLE MOVING COMPANY. Do not use it
We had to move from England to Italy. They were ok to begin with, good quote and good service offered. Once they collected our stuff things started to get wrong: they change extra for extra space they said we used ( even though at the time of collection they assured we didn’t overuse space). They then promise the delivery date in Italy on a certain date and they ended up delivering two weeks later. They didn’t even deliver in the day last agreed but the day before, giving us two hours notice. On the day of delivery they couldn’t unload the truck, as it was too big for the road, even if we gave them the size of the street. We had to pay extra £250 because our stuff had to be delivered to a depot to be them redelivered to us after a week. Worse service ever. We ended up paying more than £ 500 extra.

  3. Very Professional.

They arrived on time for the pickup of my furniture and other household goods. They wrapped and packed everything for me in a VERY PROFESSIONAL manner. The gentlemen were very courteous and knowledgeable about the moving industry and answered all my questions. My delivery was perfect! There were no damages to my belongings!

  4. Pass your way!!

I wish I’d take an other company..
we paid for the full service door to door (announced 8 to 10 weeks), but no one came to pack our goods.. Just a driver ! So we had to pack them in an emergency without the right material they were suppose to provide.. More than 5 months later (Grenoble (for)- Boston) we received our goods (far from the delay first announced!) with some of them broken. Movecorp keeps disgarding us and not answering our emails..
Don’t lose your money, take someone else, they are far from being experts and professional in international moving, and the way they treat their clients is more than disgusting.

  5. Be prepared to wait!

Let me be clear, I was extremely happy with Movecorp on all but one point: timelines of delivery.
Movers were professional, though didn’t come with appropriate boxes they still made it work. In a one bed apartment the only damaged items were a couple of pint glasses, pretty impressive.
    Price is definitely good.
But you will wait FOREVER for your stuff. I was moving UK to US. A month after my projected delivery window had ended the container STILL hadn’t left Britain.
Everything finally arrived and fortunately I was able to borrow most things I needed during this time but if I had been counting on my stuff I would have been in trouble.

  6. Packers fine, management amateurish at best.

I knew it would be hard and expensive to find someone to pack and ship a very small shipment from my parents (downsizing) to me, halfway round the world. But I have found the result to be the most stressful move of my life, and I have moved 17 times, in or across 3 continents, 7 or 8 major cities.

In fairness the packers were excellent -- speedy and the goods were very well packed and protected. Nothing was damaged or broken, and everything involved was an heirloom of some sort. Phew!

Dealing with management and payment was a nightmare though - they kept contradicting themselves, demanding more money with minimal explanations on short notice, and being inconsistent. I seriously doubt if I was ever really insured and am glad I did not have to find out. They demanded shipping info from me -- when they had arranged the shipping! -- at one point. Delivery took ages, was originally scheduled for end January, moved to February, and then I was informed on short notice it had to be delivered on a Saturday and I had to arrange parking permission. Anyone who has ever handled a move in the country and city I live in knows you have to have a parking permit, it takes a week to get, and there are no exceptions. So I had to face the risk of a nearly 400dollar fine in case the police came round or the neighbours complained. (and no one can even get a moving company on a Saturday, so how could I have known I wasn't supposed to plan to be away on a weekend?!)

When the shipment did arrive, according to the movers paperwork they were not supposed to unpack, although I had paid for complete delivery and unpacking. Being unable to assemble large pieces of furniture myself, I persuaded them to help, but it was really ridiculous -- their paperwork told them there was no lift at the building, but there is one!

I had to work very hard to keep in touch with them to give them info -- but they were very good at demadning more money on short notice.

I am relieved I have my family's precious things, but if there had been a better obvious choice, I would have been glad to know. I could not recommend them for ''normal'' shipments.

  7. Movcorp Nightmare.

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE! Why did I not read these reviews, instead of just google (fake) reviews before!!
Movcorp were very proactive and communicative at first, delivery was promised from Northern Italy to Berlin in a couple weeks. After I paid, the removal became a nightmare.
The following 4 months of phone calls to them every week, promised deliveries that never arrived, which resulted in me waiting at home 5 half days over a couple months. Terrible communication. When half of the boxes arrived, the delivery guy had absolutely no information or intention that he would help move them into my 2nd floor flat. Despite having paid a lot of money for this to happen.
They had absolutely no idea where my belongings were, which warehouse in which city..
Eventually, some of the boxes arrived a month later, some another 6 weeks later, all horrendously damaged, the mattress black, a bike that looked like it had been run over by a lorry, not to mention the half that has still never appeared.
They did not do the job they promised, they destroyed half of my belongings, they lost half, and put me through 4 months of unnecessary stress. Do not use this company if you are moving to a new city, have a full time job, need help carrying the heavy boxes, care for your belongings, want them delivered on time in good condition, and don't want to be on the phone every single week trying to figure out where your belongings are in the world.
I am not materialistic, nor have incredibly expensive/precious belongings (thankfully after this), but the emotional stress that this removal company caused, is a complete joke.
Moving house/country is always stressful, but do not use Movcorp if you care for your belongings/time/money and want someone to do this job correctly.

  8. Awful!

Disgusting behaviour!! Booked into to carry our belongings from Dorset, to California. ONE week!! Before collection, they decide to email on the Friday at half 5 just as they leave work advising that they are increasing the charge by £400.. No explanation, leaving us for the weekend to sort alternative arrangements ONE week before they were scheduled to pick our belongings up. All of this after, we had paid the £50 deposit to 'Secure dates and Prices' a load of cowboys.

    Disgusting behaviour, would never recommend.

  9. The worst company I have ever dealt with.

Do not use this company! 7 months it took to ship my items from uk to us! It finally arrived amd everything was damaged! Waste of time dealing with these people. Nothing but issues from start to finish. None of them have any sort of common decency or people skills. The way they greet customers is astounding “what do you want now” or “what do you want me to do about it” says it all about the kind of company. James Mallet and Kate have honestly been the worse people I have ever had to deal with in my life. I never write on these kind of things but this company really needs stopped!!

  10. Rip off Britain.

Has anyone else received emails from Rip off Britain regarding Movecorp.

    I have received 3 now.

I was concerned as it seems my data information has been passed around, but after my experience and lack of conclusion from Movecorp, I am seriously considering replying to Rip off Britain.

    Anyone else had an email?

  11. Extremely Poor Service.

Stay away. They are dishonest with their quotes. They will quote you a standard 8-12 week delivery but in reality will take your stuff and wait until the container fills up - they won't tell you this or update you. I was shipping from London to LA, they took my stuff in Sep17 and are estimating end of Mar18 to clear customs. If you feel that you don't want your stuff and don't like communication then this is the company for you. Never again.

  12. Stay away..Do not Use.

This is a scam they take your money then your goods and don’t care. My shipment was Lost and I was told by James Mallett “it is what it is” Becky Scivendr Has spent the last 6 months lying to me. I wish I knew then what I know now I am gutted it was sentimental. I was also told Becky did not do the insurance paper work so it’s not insured. £5,000 lost and they don’t care Becky, James James and Matt should all go to jail.

  13. Avoid. Bunch of scam artists & aggressive staff.

This is the worst company ever in my life which is pathetic both in terms of the service & staff.

My shipment was kept in storage for 4 months in UK before it was delivered to Zurich. Every time they would come up with a new excuse of not delivering it on the agreed date. My contact person Chloe & Catherine were extremely unprofessional and rude. They would never call/write back and are impulsive liars. At times they would like to play good cop/bad cop with us, thinking everyone besides them are fools.

Chloe emailed that we need to pay extra port charges before they would arrange a delivery date. The charges were not invoiced and there was no evidence. The email stated below
"Unfortunately there is a port fee outstanding on the goods which totals £100.80. The charge is due to a random customs inspection which has also resulted in the container incurring demurrage and quay rent whilst undergoing the inspection conducted on the container. The inspection is carried out based on a random selection process which I’m afraid, we have no control over. Kindly note that this charge must be paid prior to arranging your delivery. "

The delivery staff came two days late as to their promise and we just got an hour notice before they arrived. The staff was aggressive and overworked. They literally threw our staff here and there (resulting in huge damages). When we asked them to unpack and assemble the basic furniture (as per our agreement), they said we do not do it and they do not know who is Cloe. When we refused to sign the delivery receipt, the staff started shouting and abusing us in front of our kids and rushed away from the scene. My family felt extremely frightened and embarrassed as the neighbors heard them loud and clear.

I will strongly recommend, please avoid this company for the safety of your good and your family.

  14. Avoid at All Costs!!

This is by far the worst company we have ever dealt with on any level.

We moved from Australia to the UK and used one company on the Australian end and we were appointed Movecorp at the UK end.

When our goods finally arrived in the UK some 4 months after being packed up, we called Movecorp to arrange delivery of or goods. They emailed to say that we need to pay port inspection charges before they would arrange a delivery date. The charges were not invoiced and there was no evidence. We ended up paying the charges and were never receipted. Our move coordinator (Chloe D) was useless and lacked basic communication skills. She would never call back and follow up. We were chasing every day to find out when the delivery was going to be.

Once a delivery date was finally agreed, the guys came and were great. We tipped them handsomely and they left. One of the men said that we can call up the council and they will collect the boxes/rubbish. We thought that was odd as we believed we had paid for the same day removal of waste. We referred back to our original agreement and saw that we did in fact pay for this service. We immediately phoned Movecorp to alert them that they did not remove the rubbish and that our house was now filled with waste. Chloe failed to call us back on multiple occasions but said that they can arrange someone to collect it in 2 weeks. This was unacceptable and we were left with boxes for 2 weeks after we had paid for same day removal.

We had to leave it on the side of the road so someone could collect. This was done.

Overall, this is the worst company EVER!! If I could score a zero, I WOULD!!

  15. EXTREMELY professional.

Where do I begin? That's what I said to myself when my mother told me she would be retiring and moving to The U.K. Her best friend and husband had moved to Birmingham U.K. 8 years before and convinced her it was the ideal place for her to spend her golden years. Now all I had to do is figure out how to get her packed up and moved to a foreign country.. thank goodness I found this amazing company. They came to my mothers condo and took care of EVERYTHING! Packaged everything carefully and professionally including furniture , paintings, dishes, silver, photos and even some larger furniture pieces she insisted she needed to have . Everything arrived safely and in perfect condition and in the time that was promised. I can't say enough about these guys! They were professional, friendly and all around amazing. I highly recommend them.
