  1. Awful service and lost box - London to Abu Dhabi.

I am very disappointed with the service provided by this company. They collected my boxes on the 16th of August. I did not recieve them until 22nd November despite being told delivery would take between 8-10 weeks. There was also a box missing. I was told to 'give them some time to find it'. Despite waiting, they have not been able to locate it and have stopped replying to my emails.

If you value the items you are shipping. Do not use this company.

Movecorp were used by a company in Abu Dhabi, so check who they use to handle the move in the UK if you are relocating to this part of the world.

  2. Very pleasant moving company.

The movers came when they said they would. They packed everything in one truck like I requested. They arrived on time in new home, and set everything up they were responsible before they left. The foreman was so honest and sincere, and willing to do things that weren't really his responsibility. No damage and scratches. Very pleasant moving company.

  3. Poor Service.

Has anyone taken legal action against this company?
If not, does anybody want to join a class action against Movecorp Ltd. (ie a group of customers joining together to share the costs of taking Movecorp to court?

Poor service and keep finding extra charges. Just charged us £1770 over and above what had been agreed. When we paid, thought we might have to pay still more.

As poor service seems to be common, just wondered if anyone would like to join us in taking legal action?

  4. Shocking Service - DO NOT USE.

Movecorp in my opinion are shocking.

No contact even after 5 weeks of my goods arriving at port for collection.
    £150 port charges for delays.
Then further 2 week delay was at there warehouse
Then not delivered inside house as agreed and booked for.
    Gave me another customer box.
Took 4 attempts for them to acknowledged and finally collect other parties box.
Never located I missing box even though it was marked and labelled.
No apology or details of actions taken to find.
    JUST A SHOCKING EXPERIENCE.

    a kdlays 3 No.

  5. Terrible.

It took 5 months for my boxes to get door to door. MoveCorp quoted our transit time to be between 8-12 weeks. What they failed to mention was that my boxes were being sent to Toronto Canada and we live in Vancouver. When I emailed the lady that was our point of contact about it, she sends me an 'out of office' reply. They got their money, they didn't need to deal with us anymore. So they sent the boxes to Toronto and contracted the Canadian part of the journey to an even more inept company called AMJ International, where my boxes sat in a warehouse for 6 weeks before they got loaded up and moved. AMJ International quoted me 1-3 weeks of a wait and it took 8. Long story short, we would have been better off selling our stuff and buying new when we got to Canada. Do not waste your time with an amateur company like this. Do your research before giving them your money.

  6. From Madrid to London - avoid them at all cost.

I should have searched for reviews before hiring them, but too late! They seemed all ok until the collection. They took all the money upfront. Collection was suprisingly on agreed date and almost time slot. But since then it's been a nightmare. The agreed delivery date has long been missed. They would never call back. I keep calling the movement coordinator, who is next to useless. All he does is apologises and promises to call back with the new date, which he never does. So you end up chasing him daily for delivery date which he doesn't know. Typical story - they truck broke down. Their tight schedule doesn't allow to easily rebook on another van. They seem to be working with other companies, as he made a call on second line while I was hearing, to find out where is my stuff. His manager is even more useless and won't remember your name the very next day. It's been 3 weeks since collection, over a week since firmly agreed delivery date, and I still don't have a realistic date they will deliver. Please avoid them!!

  7. Moved from UK to Italy.

I should have read the reviews on movecorp before using them, and I can't blame anyone but myself. I paid for my stuff to be delivered to my apartment. First of all there was no delivery date given and I was told it would be on the next scheduled container to Italy. 4 weeks after the collection I received an email with a delivery date and then a mention of an 18m truck to do the delivery. I immediately contacted the coordinator to raise concerns about the size of the truck, because the street I live on is very narrow and I doubted if the truck would fit. The coordinator said the driver would know when he is in the area. That was when it crossed my mind that movecorp does not look up the address to check if they can deliver or not. I kept asking her if the driver knew the town, it never occurred to me that she had no idea what she was talking about. 3 days before the delivery date she sent me an email saying the driver was behind schedule so my stuff will be delivered a day later. I took the day off yesterday to wait for the delivery. In the afternoon I received a call from the driver that he will not be able to deliver my belongings to me because of the size of his truck. I could not believe it,I called the coordinator and asked her what was going to happen with my things. She replied that they were going to give my things to an agent they work with, and this agent will be able to deliver with a smaller van. Then she sent me an email to say that I will have to pay the agent €795 to deliver. So after having paid movecorp to deliver my belongings to my apartment, I now have to pay for another agent to do the delivery. After 6 weeks, I don't have my things, and I have to pay more money to another agent
The agent asked me why I didn't give movecorp the delivery address, and when I replied that I did, he was so shocked! He started apologising and said he would try and see if he can reduce it a little for me. I was so humbled by his reaction, an agent with a Heart! I am sure movecorp can learn a lot from him. But I doubt they will!
I am sure the coordinator was sat in her office, laughing her head off and proud of the fact that she has swindled another one.
I had told two colleagues of mine relocating to Europe to use movecorp, but I have rang them and told them to look for a better moving company! You have to read my review and others similar to decide for yourself. if you want to waste your time, your money and above all have sleepless nights, then by all means use Movecorp. A word to the wise is Surely Enough!
A Big round of applause to you Kirsty, you did it!

  8. Move from UK to Germany.

    Very poor service.

Pick up date was changes on the day of the delivery itself.
Delievery date was changed 3 times.
Drivers left damage to a neighbours wall with the van. The damage has not been repaired until today.
Many of my removal boxes have been damaged. I got some really good and expensive one's in order to make it easier for me and the delivery guys. The boxes were not heavy so I am really surprised they have been damaged.

Items have not been damaged themselves.

  9. Quick communication.

Within 2 days of my quote request, the surveyor was sent to my home to give me a quote for my move.

The price was good and the service provided was great!

My brother is now using Movecorp for his move next month.

    I would recommend.

  10. Stress free move.

Due to my mothers health deteriorating, I decided to relocate nearer to her. With the stress of work and the relocation, the last thing I needed was a stressful move. I went with Movecorp for my relocation and the process was seamless. Having not moved for around 15 years, I was out of touch with things but have to say, everything was taken care for me without any problems.

    Packing service was great!

  11. Worst company ever (Chasing all clients).

    The worst company ever
The worst company ever, we have shipped our goods from dubai to Poland after we have paid all the cost, then we received mail from movecorp stating that they have received our goods and we have to pay VAT, we have transferred to their bank account the VAT then they started to chase us as for another fees then we explained to them by bills that we have paid all the cost to dubai agency the. Movecorp asked us to pay 1500AED as per dubai agent then we showed them again that we paid everything, after while movecorp sent us mail stating that they cannot reach dubai agency to collect their money so we must pay movecorp 1980£ which is the cargo cost to movecorp since dubai agency has stolen them, so we got surprised that this is not our responsibility and must be contract between each other and movecorp must ship our goods to Poland becuase this is not our fault espically that there is no agreement between us and movecorp except they sent mail stating they have our goods and asking us for money, anyhow we are trying with them since 17th of May 2017 until now and we have moved and settled in London and we have asked movecorp again that no need to ship our goods to Poland and release it to us in UK but they insisted to chase us for such huge amount and even now their managing director is not replying to our mails and his employees never replying to our mails and no helpful at all and they always thinking from their way of communication that they breaching law and they don’t care and they don’t understand that this is not our responsibility if they have agreement with company and they didn’t pay them and does not make sense at all to pay almost 2000£ for personal goods of me and my wife and my baby we using since 4 years. That’s not fair at all, UK has the most strong law and clear law over the world so how come such company is chasing clients like that.
We have all the details and proofs whether documents or mails or payments done to movecorp or dubai agency, you can contact me anytime and will provide you with all, and if you googling the company name then you will see how many times they chasing clients until now. Their managing director is the worst person I have even seen in business communication or even personal life.

  12. Worst experience ever! Don't trust this company!!

My husband and I were relocating from the San Francisco Bay Area back to Germany in July with Dynamic L.A. as the organizer of our move (that was our first mistake, but that's another story). Unfortunately some of our boxes didn't fit in the container and had to be shipped additionally. Their partner in the UK is Movecorp Ltd (which we never would have chosen ourselves reading all those negative reviews!) and now we are running from one annoyance into another.

First of all Chloe from Movecorp Ltd contacted us two days after the container arrived (1st delay from their side) and demanded a detailed list of all our goods with the value and how long we’ve been owning them for VAT/duty. I promptly wrote them that I was in contact about that with Dynamic L.A. because I have no idea which items were in which shipment as we haven’t packed the boxes nor did we distribute them between the container and the additional shipment. Also I wanted to know why we suddenly would have to pay VAT/duty for relocating household goods. I even sent the list we’ve gotten from Dynamic L.A. with the rough description of the box contents, such as „Dishpack – Dishes“, explaining that this is all the information we got. There was no response for several days, neither from Movecorp nor from Dynamic L.A., then they wrote again that they need the list, without answering my questions. I again tried to explain my situation and again I asked Patrick from Dynamic L.A. for advice. Then he sent me the exact same rough list, stating „To the best of my capacity I have filled out custom invoice. The only thing needed will be the value and time owned.“ Trying to find any difference between this list and that one we provided Movecorp over two weeks ago I wildly guessed the value that the items could have (it is pretty obvious that we still had no clue which items are in that shipment). AGAIN I asked why there is VAT/duty on relocating our household goods. This was on October 9th, a bit over two weeks after the container arrived.

One week later I again checked in if there are any updates. On the 18th I’ve got an email from Chloe that we were charged £421.04 for duty & VAT „as previously discussed“ (well, ehm, no?! There was no discussion AT ALL! Only unanswered questions!). There was no invoice, no bank details. I AGAIN asked why there were fees on our goods and mentioning the lack of professionalism, asking for transparency. Then we were told that we should have been informed about the rules and regulations before the items actually left the US, and that „Back in April of this year, the UK law changed so we are now unable to claim transfer of residency relief on any consignment that is clearing into Europe via England but not designated for England.“
Again we contacted Dynamic L.A. who basically rejected the blame and saying „From that (used) value, duties may be 2%-7%, if any at all. I.E $1,000 declared used value = $20-$70.“ I’ve sent another email to Movecorp asking for details as the declared value of our goods was £1,270, so this would mean that VAT/duties would be 30%?! We were informed that VAT is 20% of the overall value and the duties are worked out based on commodity codes which differ per item. And that there is also a small administration charge of approximately £25.00 (which Dynamic L.A. was gracefully willing to pay as a good-will gesture…). Stupidly we paid the fee, trying to avoid any further delay (probably having a premonition of what was about to come).

On October 20th Chloe told us „Upon customs clearance, I will be back in touch to begin arranging delivery with you.“ Six days later I again checked in to see if there are any updates to get the response „We’re finalizing clearance currently so will be in touch ASAP to advise.“ One day later we got the news that our consignment has now cleared customs and „Please note due to delayed documentation there is a demurrage charge of £775.00 outstanding on your consignment. This will need paying prior delivery.“ Now this is the point where MY good will and patience has an end! I replied asking if this immense demurrage charge is due to the delay Movecorp and Dynamic L.A. caused in our correspondence. I again mentioned that I haven't gotten replies to my emails for over a week several times although I was always checking in! For me it looks like a planned delay to charge us even more money and this business methods seem to me more and more criminal! I wrote that I’m starting considering taking legal steps and
furthermore that not sending proper invoices for all those unexpected fees is highly dubious and I'm expecting both invoices immediately for transparency! After checking in AGAIN I got this: „We received the importing documentation late from yourselves which meant that your consignment was part of the reason the container couldn’t clear on time. All documentation should be in place prior to the items being shipped to avoid issues such as these.“ Now they are blaming us again for THEIR lack of organization and professionalism?!? This is unbelievable! I immediately wrote back, demanding proper transparency of the charges and fees made by Movecorp as well as a proof of how the law has been changed that we suddenly had to pay for VAT/duty by the end of the day, otherwise I see myself forced to press charges. We won’t pay anything without having official bills/proofs for our records and we won’t pay for additional costs that occur due to your delayed responses!

We will see what happens, but I highly recommend to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Their business seems to be driven by criminal methods charging fees without any proof!

  13. Furniture not delivered - not responding. Appaling service.

We paid £1400 to have furniture delivered to Spain. Furniture has not been delivered. We were left with an unfurnished house for 5 day's. We still do not have our furniture and they cannot advise where it is. Appaling customer service, still not resolved. We
have now conatcted the MD prior to seeking leagal advice, in the hope that the matter will get resolved.
    Still awaiting a response.

  14. Very bad company.

Be honest I don't know how to start, this company is worst company I ever deal with. I never write reviews but I want to make sure people they don't going be rip off like me. When we were in England they write you every day emails and calls you , when you move abroad they don't know you. You have to chase them when your stuff arrive and when you call them they don't know where the drivers are . The lady (Harley) doesn't have the best of costumers service. I tried call them many times but of the sudden they are busy and they can't talk to you. The stuff arrived nearly one week later, but damaged!! When I talked to them apperantly they can't do anything because our insurance doesn't cover it (until now I don't know why I paid insurance ,not the cheap one !)The drivers put fragile box on the bottom and after two or three heavy boxes on the top and they said it is our fault. They damaged even TV even they knew it is TV there. When you do take insurance make sure you know all details what is cover what not because nobody tell you! I m very angry because I feel very frustrating and cheated because I paid lot of money for this company and they don't care about costumers service!. They damage TV ,sofa and more stuff!!.I m still waiting for they responds but I doubt it someone will do something about it.

  15. MoveCorp: The worst customer experience I ever had.

    Here is my story..

The initial pick-up was performed on the 23 of August at Stafford UK. The destination place is in France, in a hamlet where we have a 'campaign' house.

The delivery has been promised and delayed multiple times. My wife and I had to travel to that place twice, waiting for a truck which was cancelled at the last minutes on several occasions.

Finally, the truck reached that hamlet on the 5th of October, but then, the drivers decided not to deliver, claiming it is not an 'easy access'. For the record, four years before, another company did deliver half of our belongings to that place without any complaint. At that time, the other part of our belongings were delivered to Stafford.

Finally, everything has been stored inside some neighbour’s garage, thanks to their kindness. Consequently, my wife and I had to get there during the weed-end in order to move back our belongings to our place. It took us only 3 hours.

Last point, we discovered that our micro-wave oven was broken and the washing machine has a significant scratch on it.

The various useless trips to this delivery place have cost more than 500£, without counting the loss of 5 days of work for my wife an I.

I am hoping to get some significant compensation for all the trouble we have endured.

After 4 years in the UK, where most of the time our customer’s experience was excellent, this is the worst customer experience I ever had.

This was sent as a e-mail to MoveCorp, and I did not get any feedback..
