  1. Moving cross country

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered, I paid 4K deposit, 1 day before they are to pick up my stuff, called driver out, can we move the date, I had already sold the house, when they do get to house, tell the owner nothing is packed there not taking it, I spent 2 days trying to find out what was going on, no one returns your calls, my stuff is still there, and they keep my 4 k deposit, moving is stressful enough, this is not the company to use to even move a fog house, very very upset customer, and they don’t give a shit, they are scammers be very aware, do not my any meens use this company ?has to give them 1 star or you can’t continue, I give them -10000 stars

  2. Worst move I ever had

Trinity was the broker. For a fee of over $6000, Trinity gave us 3 estimates based on our walking around the house with our phone's camera. The first estimate was a bit over $10K, the 3rd one, completed by an "experienced person" in the company came in at over $17,000. Then, on moving day, the mover that Trinity selected came in and gave us the bill for over $21,000. When I called Trinity about the price, they said there wasn't anything they could do. So what did we get for our $6000 fee from Trinity?

  3. Customer Service 5 - Star

When moving (govt)service dropped ball Jay was on it within minutes and had a quote within minutes. Bypass the crap and go with someone who knows how to handle customers. Jay!! had a move scheduled within a week.

If your ever in a jam or looking for a company reliable please ask for Jay!!

    -Tony

  4. A bait and switch job

Funny that I already posted a very detailed review about my dealings with this company and now it doesn’t show up any more... summary... Dylan, sales guy was great! Charming and ‘trustworthy’ I signed the contract. He then sent me to the snake Bruce who spoke down to me, talked over me, belittled me then doubled my moving cost and told me he would block my calls if I didn’t like it.

Dylan underestimated my moving costs even when I told him I had more pieces then Bruce said I had sooooo much more. After Bruce took my money, I NEVER heard from them again, no one called to schedule the move, discuss further dates, how my move was. I was absolutely charged double what my move actually cost. These guys will absolutely take your money then disappear. Find a local mover first.

  5. Great Job! Thank you Trinity Van Lines

My move from California to Texas went better than expected. My family and I moved several times cross country on our own, but decided this time we needed some help. I spoke with a few moving companies including Trinity Van Lines, and Jay Cummings seemed to be knowledgeable and experienced. I noticed some reviews from former clients who seemed dis satisfied, and decided to ask Jay what was true and what wasn't. I feel he was upfront and honest, pointing out people only write reviews when something goes wrong, and very few positive reviews when things go right. He assured me that all complaints are dealt with. I did check out Trinity's track record, and they do have a very high percentage of successful moves. My research shows a 90% good, to 10% bad. The fact that they've been operating under the same name for many years showed me that they're not hiding from anyone. At the end of the day, our move went as planned. ( 3 days later than expected due to bad weather) ..but that's ok. Thanks again Jay & Trinity Van Lines. My 5 star review is well deserved!

  6. Long Distance Move from NJ to SC

Very poor customer service. Price continues to change. Delivered a box that was not ours took no responsibility so someone is missing a box of things. Don’t give them anything fragile lost a whole set of dishes...

  7. DO NOT TRUST THEM

DO NOT USE TRINITY VAN LINES. Don't be fooled by other reviews (probably written by the company itself) that trinity van lines is mistaken for another company with a similar name.

I reserved an interstate move with Paul Lopez (Hi Paul, why are you still not answering my calls?). He promised that they will have all if my livelihood moved across the country within 10-14 business days. So I booked the truck, expecting to move into the new home in 10-14 days.

I signed a new lease and booked a flight to travel across the country, accordingly. On the 8th day, since they picked up all my stuff, I thought it was weird that they had not once contacted me about the exact time frame, so I decided to call the company only to find out all of my stuff never left storage. Now they are saying it may take up to 21 MORE DAYS ON TOP OF THE INITIALLY PROPOSED 10-14 DAYS.

That's a whole month, do you know how much time and money I am losing because of this?

I have been calling their office, the PAUL LOPEZ guy, and the movers every day but they just don't seem to care enough to pick up the phone. In fact, the movers picked up their phone once and hung up before I could even say hello. I called them again immediately and they just declined my call.

Not to mention the HIDDEN FEES they charge you after "you don't have to worry about additional charges, all of your stuff can be covered by this rate". I ended up being charged at least $200 additionally because they don't mention that there is an ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $75/8 stairs AND $75/50ft.

They are still not answering my phones and as a result of giving this company the benefit of the doubt, I have lost a lot of time and money. In fact, I still am. PAUL LOPEZ, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, ANSWER MY PHONE CALLS.

TLDR: Ridiculous hidden fees. False proposed date of arrival. +21 days on top of the initially proposed date. Extremely unresponsive and unprofessional.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY.

Update: They read my review here and started yelling on the phone when I called them to inquire about the exact time frame of the moving process.

JAY CUMMINGS, YOU TOLD ME THE CALL LAWYER IF I CAN. I WILL. YOU ALSO THREATENED WHEN YOU MOCKINGLY SAID "I HOPE YOUR STUFF GETS THERE IN ONE PIECE".

Also, you told me your name was "CALL-A-LAWYER" when I asked for your name. Prepare yourself for a personal law suit on top of the one against your company. I hope your company values you as an employee lol

  8. Trash

Move from NM to NC and FL - Get ready to pay extra because you will be required to give them more money because their trucks can’t get down residential streets. Bring an extra $300 or $350 with you. Also multiple items were broken and they attempted to deliver after 8pm. This place is awful. Run away from this place as fast as you can.

  9. Screwed over!!!!

I was in dispute about things I was toldand was working with them about some discounts, because I was lied to. Jay got mad at me because I told him before the "QA" that I was working with someone about getting some discounts, Jays response was to get mad at me and we got into a yelling/cussing match. He then went to the OWNER and demanded Jennifer not touch my account and only he could, this ended with no discounts after being lied to and NOONE doing my "QA", infact Jay wouldn't answer any of my calls or emails and Bull moving company whom the sent me through charged me over $1000.000 extra for my move annndddd 25 days later I still don't have my belongings. I asked Jay during my call "are you seriously willing to cost the company money because of the way you're talking to me and knowing I had 4 people and a business moving over a 1000 miles with you" and he responded "I'm not costing the company anything and I don't care", all before screwing me over. Needless to say, we immediately cancelled my employees move that was scheduled a couple weeks out and my other 3 employees have pods outside there home, so this company was willing to sacrifice 25000.00 plus to treat me like crap? Good job jay, Jennifer and whatever the owners name is. Stay clear of this company. They start with a lie and end with you not having your belongings but if your willing to go without your property for a month, love to be lied to, love having excuses thrown at you and love being belittled, then this is the PERFECT company for you.

  10. Trinity Van Lines legally took $4450 from us

Trinity Van Lines legally took $4450 from us without even sending a moving truck to our home. Read that contract and read it well before you sign or send any money. Our original estimate had some inaccuracies that we did not catch. The original estimate was for $5880. The semi-final estimate was $8844.94. My wife, pregnant with our third child, didn't understand why the price increased so much, but she felt pressured into signing the contract without reading it and paid the deposit because "we added more stuff". This brought our total deposit to $4450 (interestingly this is over half of our final quote, before the guys even showed up with a truck!).

True we added more stuff, but the actual reason for the huge price jump was the original distance of our move was "estimated" as 1645 miles. The actual distance to where we are moving is 2247 miles (easily calculated on google maps). No wonder the price increased so much. Our cubic feet increased only from 1000 CF to 1123 CF. If we had known the semi-final estimate was going to be $8844.94 we would have chosen a different service. Too bad once that contract is signed you no longer get a refund, no matter what. Well, we cancelled the move with them because we didn't want to continue to support their business. Bye bye stimmy. At least now we are working with a company that feels far more trustworthy, U-Pack.

Don't trust anything said to you by word of mouth. They won't lie to you (actually they did lie to me, but that's ok because that's not in the contract...). But they won't tell you the whole truth. Read the contract or you might end up like us and pay Trinity Van Lines over $1,000 per hour for a moving estimate!

The one saving grace. If we move within the next year, then our deposit can be used for that move. Too bad I don't trust them to move my stuff. I felt profoundly peaceful after cancelling the job with them. Technically still waiting on confirmation of cancellation from "the Controller".

No where in the contract does it state that the contract cannot be published online, so here is ours for your benefit.

All of those numbers look pretty complicated, so I came up with an approximate equation that will tell you the cost of your move. This doesn't include additional fees that one may incur by inattentiveness to the contract.

Take your cubic feet and divide by 1000. Take the distance of your move and divide by 1645. Multiply these numbers together, and then multiply by $5880. Tada! Your second estimate is likely within 10% of the final estimate you would have received from Trinity Van Lines. If they make their initial quotes according to the same pattern as they did for us, you may be able to simply multiply your initial estimate by 1.5. Good luck, and happy moving!

  11. Nightmare

Got a great quote from [NAME EDIT] and an assurance of no lowballing for our 1300 sq ft house. "Give us money, quick , and we will schedule you in". Second person from company reaches out to finalize the estimate. $3.5 per cubic foot. Total price went up. "Pay us more money". He tells me any additional can be added on the day of the move. Next a call from someone named [NAME EDIT]. Any fragile items we need to pack ourselves. I assume that means heirlooms and private treasures. Day of the move, the movers inform us that we a have to wrap anything that might be breakable. Glass tables, mirrors, tvs, vases, etc (we had already packed the dishes.) We can buy any necessary boxes and tape we might need on on moving day from them at double the cost at Home Depot. We call [NAME EDIT]. Turns out she's a boss. She tells me that info received from [NAME EDIT] is invalid. We wrap everything fragile to go on the truck, not them! Had they attached any significance to what "you wrap fragile items" really means before we signed, we would have gotten additional quotes. Can you imagine? What do we know about adequately wrapping three glass living room tables, large screen TVs or a large mirror? We pay movers to move our furniture and we have to wrap half of it ourselves? They evidently wanted to simply put our furniture on a truck and drive. No packing. Yet the cost is $3500. Not exactly cheap for a move to a location 4 hours away by truck. Then, we decide to add a few items, about 5 cubic feet additional. Oops, sorry, minimum additional is 15 cubic feet. Really?

Next, payment. "Pay me now" approach! They won't take a credit card, check or money order. Cash on the barrelhead or we don't move a muscle. Who doesn't have $2K on them at all times? Decided to Zelle them the money. They won't move a finger until them get confirmation from the home office that it cleared. We'll sit here and wait until that happens? At the destination, wife runs out to grab cash from the bank. They won't move a muscle until the cash is in their hand. Really guys? I have already made 3 partial payments, the last one a day ago, and you can't trust me for the 20 minute trip to the bank to get the remaining balance?

The company is, we think, expensive for the service they provide, not at all customer friendly, and their fixation on payment is off-putting to say the least (wait till you see the tip charges sheet they give you when the truck arrives at your house). We did 75% of the house packing. We moved two 5x8 Uhaul trailers and three pickup truck loads ourselves prior to the mover's arrival. It took the movers 3 hours to load, a 4 hour drive, and 1.5 hours to unload. $3500, plus tip. The guys on the truck, btw, were quite helpful. No issues there.

Take away here is Avoid Trinity Movers!

  12. Move from Long Island, NY to Tampa, FL

As a broker, Trinity Van Lines (TVL) did a respectful job. The Coordination and timing was as they said with little discrepancy. The move was executed very well (carrier was All in One Moving and Storage). What I would suggest, and TVL also advises this, is when doing a sight unseen estimate be sure to OVER ESTIMATE so there a few surprises at pick up. Also, when the carrier arrives have a tape measure (25ft +) handy to check the cubic feet the carrier says is loaded. Simple L x W x H = cuft calculation just to keep everybody "honest". Also, anything glass (mirrors, picture frames etc.) need to be bubble wrapped and cardboard "crated" unless you want to pay a premium for the carrier to that for you. Thank you Jay & Co. it's been an education for sure!

  13. My move from NH to FL.

I would like to take a moment to thank Jay and everyone at Trinity Van Lines for a job well done. My furniture and artwork showed up in Florida a day earlier than expected and completely in tact! I would most certainly recommend them to anyone.

  14. HORRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST

Quote starts low and then increases... Do not sign with them. 7 weeks received items. Missing much and did not set up anything ie beds, furniture just dumped and left. The contract movers they use IN and OUT are just as bad and shady. Liars and thieves. I reported to Fl. State attorney general office and they are investigating. PUT THEM BOTH OUT OF BUSINESS. MY QUOTE WAS 3800 AND WENT TO 7600.

  15. Trinity Van Lines Excellent Service

Just completed a move today from New Jersey to Vermont. Trinity representative Jay could not have been more helpful and responsive to our needs. In fact the entire team was thorough and customer service was most impressive. Almost as impressive as their pricing!

The movers were communicative , on time and polite. When a slight issue arose, they were able to work out a solution that was mutually agreeable.Extremely efficient, they were able to transport our belongings same day. All arrived safe and sound.

I would highly recommend using Trinity Van Lines.
